• Read the instructions fully before installing or operating.

• Disconnect the TV from the mains during extreme weather (storms, lightning) or long inactivity periods.

WARNING: Do not ingest the battery, Chemical Burn Hazard. This product or its accessories may contain a coin/button cell battery. If swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death. Keep new and used batteries away from children. If the battery compartment doesn’t close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children. If you suspect batteries have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

Never place a television set in unstable or inclined locations, as it may fall, causing serious injury or death. Avoid injuries, especially to children, by taking these precautions:

• Use cabinets or stands recommended by the TV manufacturer.
• Only use furniture that can safely support the TV.
• Ensure the TV does not overhang the edge of the supporting furniture.
• Avoid placing the TV on tall furniture (like cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the TV to a suitable support.
• Do not stand the TV on cloth or other materials placed between the TV and supporting furniture.
• Educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the TV or its controls.

If relocating an existing TV, apply the same considerations.

• Read the instructions before mounting your TV on the wall.
• The wall mount kit is optional (obtain from your local dealer if not supplied).
• Do not install the TV on a ceiling or an inclined wall.
• Use the specified wall mounting screws and accessories.
• Tighten the wall mounting screws firmly to prevent the TV from falling. Do not over-tighten.
• Using other brackets or installing one yourself carries risks of personal injury and product damage. Always ask your dealer or a licensed contractor to secure the brackets for safety. Damage caused by installing without a qualified installer voids the warranty.
• Read accessory instructions carefully and ensure the TV won’t fall off.
• Handle the TV carefully during installation to avoid damage from impact or other forces.
• When fixing wall brackets, always check for electrical cables or pipes in the wall first.
• To prevent falls and injury, remove the TV from its fixed wall position when no longer in use.

First, remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
Regular care: Gently wipe the surface of the display panel, cabinet, or pedestal with a soft cloth to remove dirt or fingerprints.
For stubborn dirt:

1. First, clean the dust from the surface.
2. Dampen a soft cloth with clean water or diluted neutral detergent (1 part detergent to 100 parts water).
3. Wring the cloth out firmly. (Important: Do not let liquid enter the TV as it may cause product failure).
4. Carefully wipe the surface to moisten the dirt, then wipe it away.
5. Finally, wipe away all moisture.

• Do not use a hard cloth or rub the surface too hard, as this may cause scratches.
• Avoid exposing surfaces to insect repellent, solvent, thinner, or other volatile substances, as this can degrade surface quality or cause paint peeling.
• The display panel surface is specially treated and easily damaged. Do not tap or scratch it with fingernails or hard objects.
• Prevent the cabinet and pedestal from contacting rubber or PVC substances for extended periods, as this can degrade surface quality.

Wipe the mains plug with a dry cloth at regular intervals. Moisture and dust buildup can cause fire or electrical shock.

Preparations:

• Take the pedestal(s) and TV from the packing case.
• Place the TV screen-down onto a clean, soft, flat, and firm work table (larger than the TV) using a cloth or blanket for protection.
• Do not hold the screen panel part.
• Ensure you do not scratch or break the TV.

Assembly Steps:

1. The stand consists of two pieces. Install these pieces together.
2. Place the assembled stand(s) onto the mounting pattern(s) on the rear of the TV.
3. Insert the provided screws (M4 x 12) and tighten them gently until the stand is securely fitted (use 4 screws).

Follow these steps when using a wall-hanging bracket or repacking the TV:

• Place the TV screen-down onto a clean, soft work table, similar to assembly. Allow the stand(s) to protrude over the edge of the surface.
• Unscrew the screws that fix the stand(s) (4 screws).
• Remove the stand(s).

Refer to the diagram showing the rear of the TV. The hole pattern dimensions (a x b) are:

• 43″: 200 mm x 200 mm
• 49″: 200 mm x 200 mm
• 55″: 400 mm x 200 mm

The required screw specifications are:

• Diameter: M6
• Depth of screw (a): Minimum 10 mm, Maximum 13 mm

Note: Screws for fixing the TV to the wall-hanging bracket are not supplied with the TV. Please contact your local Panasonic dealer to purchase the recommended bracket.

This television is designed to be environment friendly. To reduce energy consumption:

• Set the Energy Saving setting (in Settings > Picture menu) to Minimum, Medium, Maximum, or Auto. The TV will reduce consumption accordingly.
• Alternatively, you can set Energy Saving to Custom and adjust the Backlight level manually using Left/Right buttons on the remote.
• Set Energy Saving to Off to disable these automatic reductions.
• Use the Screen Off feature (see below).
• When the TV is not in use, switch it off or disconnect it from the mains plug.

Note: Available Energy Saving options may differ depending on the selected Mode in Settings > Picture. Some picture settings might be unavailable when Energy Saving is active.

If you press the Right or Left button consecutively, a message “Screen will be off in 15 seconds.” will appear. You can select Proceed and press OK to turn the screen off immediately. If you don’t press any button, the screen will turn off after 15 seconds. The TV sound will continue. To turn the screen back on, press any button on the remote or on the TV. Note: The Screen Off option is not available if the Picture Mode is set to Game. This feature can also be accessed via the Energy Saving settings in the Picture menu.

The TV supports Ultra HD (Ultra High Definition – also known as 4K), which provides a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. This is four times the resolution of Full HD TV (1920 x 1080). Ultra HD content can be viewed from HDMI inputs, USB inputs, and over DVB-T2 broadcasts.

High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) allow the TV to reproduce a greater dynamic range of luminosity, resulting in better picture quality with brighter highlights, more realistic colours, and improved detail in dark shadows and bright areas. HDR/HLG content is supported via native and market applications, HDMI inputs, USB inputs, and over DVB-S broadcasts.
To watch HDR/HLG content received through an HDMI input, you need to set the related HDMI source input setting to Enhanced. This option is found in the Settings > System > Sources menu. The source device connected must also be compatible with at least HDMI 2.0a.

If the TV does not receive any input signal (e.g., from an aerial or HDMI source) for 3 minutes, it will automatically go into standby mode to save power. When you switch it back on, a message will appear: “TV switched to stand-by mode automatically because there was no signal for a long time.”

The Auto TV OFF option (located in Settings > System > More menu) might be set to a value between 1 and 8 hours by default. If this setting is active (not set to Off) and the TV is left on without any operation for the set duration, it will switch into standby mode. When you turn it back on, a message appears: “TV switched to stand-by mode automatically because no operation was made for a long time.”
Before switching to standby, a dialogue window appears for about 5 minutes. You can:

• Highlight Yes and press OK to switch to standby immediately.
• Highlight No and press OK to keep the TV on.
• Highlight Disable and press OK to keep the TV on and cancel the Auto TV OFF function for the current session.

You can permanently change the Auto TV OFF timer duration or disable it completely (set to Off) in the Settings > System > More menu.

The joystick (position may vary by model) on the TV allows basic control:

• Change Volume: Push joystick right (V+) to increase, left (V-) to decrease.
• Change Channel: Push joystick up (P+) or down (P-) to scroll through stored channels.
• Change Source: Press the centre of the joystick inwards. The sources list appears. Push up or down to scroll, then press the centre again to select (though the PDF doesn’t explicitly state the final selection step, this is typical behavior).
• Turn TV Off (Standby): Press the centre of the joystick inwards and hold it down for a few seconds.
• Turn TV On: Press the centre of the joystick inwards.

Note: The main menu OSD cannot be displayed using the joystick.

• Main Menu: Press the Home button to display the main menu. Use the directional buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) to navigate and the OK button to select or set options. Press Return/Back or Home to exit a menu screen. Press EXIT to close the main menu.
• Input Selection: Press the Source button consecutively to cycle through and select different connected input sources.
• Changing Channels and Volume: Use the Programme +/- buttons to change channels and the Volume +/- buttons to adjust the volume.

Press the Home button on the remote. The main TV menu bar appears at the bottom of the screen, initially highlighting the Home section. Use the directional buttons to navigate through the main menu items (e.g., Home, TV, Settings, Apps, Sources). Press OK to select an item or view its sub-menu options. Some highlighted menu options may show quick access sub-menu items on the upper side of the menu bar; highlight one and press OK to use it. Press OK or Back/Return to exit when finished. Press EXIT to close the main menu entirely.

You can add options from other menus to the Home menu bar.

1. Navigate to an option in another menu (e.g., a specific setting).
2. Highlight the option and press the Down direction button on the remote.
3. If available, select the Add to Home option and press OK.

To delete or move an item already on the Home menu:

1. Highlight the item on the Home menu bar.
2. Press the Down direction button.
3. Select Delete or Move and press OK.
4. If moving, use the Left/Right direction buttons to choose the new position and press OK.

You can access the EPG in two ways:

1. Press the Guide button on the remote control.
2. Press the Home button, navigate to the TV menu item, press OK, then select Guide and press OK.

Refer to the “Electronic Programme Guide” section for details on how to use it.

You can access the Channel List in multiple ways:

1. Press the OK button while watching TV (in DTV mode).
2. Press the Home button, navigate to the TV menu item, press OK, then select Channels and press OK.

Refer to the “Using the Channel List” section for details on how to manage it.

Access the Timers menu via Home > TV > Timers.

• Add a Timer: Select the Add Timer tab using Left/Right buttons and press OK. Set the options (channel, date, time, etc.) as desired and press OK to save.
• Edit a Timer: Highlight the previously created timer you want to edit. Select the Edit Selected Timer tab and press OK. Change the options as needed and press OK to save.
• Cancel a Timer: Highlight the timer you want to cancel. Select the Delete Selected Timer tab and press OK. A confirmation message appears; highlight Yes and press OK.

Note: You cannot set overlapping timers for events on different channels. If there’s a conflict, you’ll be asked to choose which timer to keep and cancel the others. To do this, highlight the timer to cancel, press OK, highlight Set/Cancel, press OK, then highlight Save Changes and press OK.

Press the Home button, navigate to the Settings menu item, and press OK. This provides access to Picture, Sound, Network, Installation, and System settings menus.

Press the Home button, navigate to the Apps menu item, and press OK.

• Launch an App: Highlight the app icon and press OK.
• Manage Apps (Add, Remove, Add to Home): Highlight the Add More option in the Apps menu and press OK (or press the Internet button on the remote if available). This opens a full-screen app management view.
  • Add to Home: Highlight an installed app, select the option to add it to the Home menu bar, and press OK.
  • Remove: Highlight an installed app, select the remove option, and press OK. Removed apps are no longer accessible from the Apps menu.
  • Add New Apps: Highlight the shopping basket logo (market) in the upper left corner and press OK. Browse available apps, highlight one, press OK, then select Add to Apps and press OK again.

Note: App availability and functionality depend on the service provider and may change or be discontinued. Internet connection is required for most apps and the market.

You can manage input sources in two main ways:

1. Switching Sources: Press the Source button on the remote repeatedly to cycle through available inputs, or press Home, navigate to Sources, press OK, highlight the desired source, and press OK.
2. Editing Source Settings: Press Home, navigate to Sources, press OK, then select Source Settings (the last option, usually represented by a gear icon) and press OK. Here you can:
   • Edit the names of sources.
   • Enable or disable sources.
   • Set HDMI source options (Regular, Enhanced, Disabled).

In the Settings > System > Sources menu (or via Home > Sources > Source Settings), you can set HDMI inputs to:

• Regular: Use this setting if the connected device is HDMI 1.4 compatible. This affects the colour settings.
• Enhanced: Use this setting to watch 4K or HDR/HLG images from the HDMI source. The connected device must be compatible with HDMI 2.0 and subsequent versions (e.g., HDMI 2.0a for HDR). This also affects colour settings.
• Disabled: Use this setting to disable the selected HDMI source input.

Set the option according to the capabilities of your connected HDMI device.

1. Remove the back cover of the remote to reveal the battery compartment.
2. Insert two size AA batteries.
3. Make sure the (+) and (-) signs on the batteries match the polarity markings inside the compartment.
4. Do not mix old and new batteries. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
5. Replace the back cover.

A message will be displayed on the screen when the batteries are low and need replacing. Replace both AA batteries. Note that low batteries can impair the performance of the remote control.

IMPORTANT: The TV set is designed to operate on a 220-240V AC, 50 Hz supply.

1. After unpacking, allow the TV set to reach ambient room temperature before connecting.
2. Plug the power cable into the mains socket outlet.

Connect the aerial or cable TV plug to the AERIAL INPUT (ANT-TV) socket located on the rear side of the TV.

If you want to connect a device to the TV, make sure that both the TV and the device are turned off before making any connection. After the connection is completed, you can turn on the units and use them.

Consult your local dealer for DVB-T/T2 availability and your cable provider for DVB-C availability. The TV may not work correctly with signals not meeting these standards. Compatibility with future services is not guaranteed.

Not all CI modules work properly with this TV. Consult your service provider about the available and compatible CI module. The TV may not work correctly with a CI module that is not approved by the service provider. Additional fees may apply depending on the service provider. This button (*) may have a default function depending on the model. You can assign a special function to it by pressing and holding it for five seconds while on a desired source or channel. A confirmation message will appear on the screen. “My Button 1” will then be associated with that selected function (e.g., quick access to a specific input or channel). Note: If you perform a First Time Installation, “My Button 1” will revert to its default function.

Refer to the illustrations on page 13 of the PDF for visual guidance on connector types, cables, and typical devices. Ensure both the TV and the device are OFF before connecting.

• VGA (back): Connect a PC using a VGA cable.
• AUDIO IN (PC/YPbPr) (back): Connect audio from a PC or YPbPr source using a PC/YPbPr audio cable (typically 3.5mm stereo to RCA or 3.5mm). Required for audio when using VGA or YPbPr video input.
• HDMI (side & back): Connect devices like Blu-ray players, game consoles, set-top boxes using HDMI cables. Use high-speed shielded HDMI cables with ferrites for 4K content.
• SPDIF (Optical Out) (back): Connect to an amplifier/soundbar with an optical input using an optical (Toslink) cable for digital audio output.
• BACK AV (Audio/Video) (back): Connect devices using composite video and stereo audio (usually RCA connectors) via an appropriate adapter cable if needed.
• HEADPHONE (side): Connect headphones using a 3.5mm stereo mini plug.
• YPBPR (back): Connect devices using Component video (YPbPr) cables. Can be used with a YPbPr-to-VGA cable for YPbPr signal via VGA input (VGA and YPbPr cannot be used simultaneously). Requires separate audio connection via AUDIO IN.
• USB (side): Connect USB memory sticks or external hard drives (up to 500mA supported per port).
• CI (Common Interface) (side): Insert a Conditional Access Module (CAM) and viewing card (if required) for encrypted digital TV services. Insert/remove only when the TV is SWITCHED OFF.
• LAN (back): Connect to your network router/modem using an Ethernet cable for a wired network connection.

You can use a YPbPr to VGA cable (not supplied) to connect the YPbPr output of a device to the TV’s VGA input port. Note that you cannot use the VGA input for a PC signal and the YPbPr signal simultaneously. To get audio for the YPbPr signal, you must also connect the device’s audio output to the TV’s back panel AUDIO IN (PC/YPbPr) port using a suitable audio cable.

When using a wall mounting kit (available from a third party if not supplied), it is recommended that you plug all your cables into the back of the TV *before* mounting it on the wall. This makes connecting cables easier.

You should insert or remove the CI (Common Interface) module only when the TV is SWITCHED OFF. Refer to the module’s instruction manual for details on settings.

Each USB input on your TV supports devices drawing up to 500mA. Connecting devices that require more than 500mA may damage your TV.

When connecting equipment using an HDMI cable to your TV, to guarantee sufficient immunity against parasitic frequency radiation and ensure trouble-free transmission of high definition signals, such as 4K content, you must use a high-speed shielded (high grade) HDMI cable that includes ferrites.

First, connect the power cord to a wall socket (220-240V AC, 50 Hz). To switch the TV on from standby mode, do one of the following:

• Press the Standby button (Power symbol), Programme +/- button, or a numeric button (0-9) on the remote control.
• Press the centre of the joystick control on the TV inwards, or push it up/down.

Note: The standby LED may blink when switching on from standby.

To switch the TV into standby mode:

• Press the Standby button (Power symbol) on the remote control.
• Press the centre of the joystick control on the TV inwards and hold it down for a few seconds.

Note: The standby LED may blink if features like Standby Search, Over Air Download, or a Timer are active.

To power down the TV completely, unplug the power cord from the mains socket.

When you turn the TV on for the very first time, the installation guide will start. Follow the on-screen prompts using the directional and OK buttons:

1. Language Selection: Choose your preferred language and press OK.
2. Country Selection: Select your country and press OK.
3. PIN Setup (if prompted): Depending on the country, you may be asked to set and confirm a 4-digit PIN. This PIN cannot be 0000. You’ll need it for certain menu operations later.
4. Mode Selection: Choose between Home Mode (recommended for normal use) or Store Mode (for retail environments, displays info banners). Select Home Mode and press OK. Store Mode can be changed later in Settings > System > More.
5. Privacy Settings (if prompted): Set your privacy preferences for smart TV features. Highlight each feature, read the explanation, and use Left/Right buttons to enable/disable. Use Programme +/- to scroll through text. Press OK to continue. (Can be changed later in Settings > System > Privacy Settings).
6. Network/Internet Settings: Configure your network connection (Wired or Wireless). Refer to the Connectivity section for details. You can choose to disable the Wake On feature here for lower standby power consumption. Highlight Next and press OK. If Internet Connection is disabled here, this screen is skipped.
7. Freeview Play Terms & Conditions: Read the terms (scroll with directional or Programme +/- buttons). Highlight Yes and press OK to agree and use Freeview Play services, or No to proceed without confirmation.
8. Select Broadcast Type: Choose which broadcast types to search for (Digital Aerial, Digital Cable, Satellite, Analogue). Highlight an option and press OK to toggle the checkbox (select/deselect). You can also set a favourite broadcast type, which will be prioritized in the channel list. Highlight Next and press OK.
9. Configure Search Settings (if applicable):
   • Digital Cable: If selected, you may be asked about a network search. If Yes, select Network or enter Frequency, Network ID, Search Step. If No, enter Start/Stop Frequency and Search Step. Highlight Next and press OK.
   • Satellite: If selected, choose Antenna Type (Direct, Single Satellite Cable, DiSEqC switch). Configure LNB and Transponder settings as needed. Press OK to proceed through options and start the scan.
10. Channel Search: The TV starts searching for channels based on your selections. Scan results appear at the bottom.
11. Channel List / LCN Sort: After the search, the Channels menu appears. A message may ask if you want to sort channels according to LCN (Logical Channel Number). Select Yes and press OK to confirm. You can edit the list now or press Home to exit and watch TV.

Important: Do not turn off the TV during the First Time Installation process. Some options may vary depending on the country selection.

Store Mode configures the TV’s settings for a retail store environment. Depending on the model, it might display an information banner on the side of the screen highlighting features. This option is intended only for store use. For home use, it is recommended to select Home Mode during the First Time Installation. You can change this setting later in the Settings > System > More menu. While Store Mode is enabled, some items in the TV menu may not be available.

LCN stands for Logical Channel Number. It is a system that organizes available broadcasts according to a recognizable channel number sequence, if available from the broadcaster. During the channel scan, you may be asked if you want to sort channels according to the LCN. Selecting Yes will arrange the channels using these numbers.

You can connect 2.5″ and 3.5″ inch external hard disk drives (HDDs) or USB memory sticks to your TV using the USB inputs. Notes:

• HDDs might require an external power supply.
• It’s recommended to use the TV’s USB input(s) directly when connecting a USB hard disk.
• USB hubs can be used, but external power supplied hubs are recommended.
• Some USB devices (like MP3 Players) or certain USB HDDs/memory sticks may not be compatible.
• IMPORTANT: Back up files on your storage device before connecting it to the TV. The manufacturer is not responsible for file damage or data loss.

The TV supports FAT32 and NTFS disk formatting for connected USB storage devices.

1. Connect your USB storage device to one of the USB inputs on the side of the TV.
2. The Media Browser menu should appear on the screen automatically. (Wait a little while after plugging in, as the TV may need time to read the files).
3. If the menu doesn’t appear automatically, you can access it later: Press the Source button, select the relevant USB input option from the list, and press OK.
4. In the Media Browser, navigate to the file (video, music, photo) you want to play or display.
5. Press OK to start playback or display the file.

Note: When viewing image files, the Media Browser can display a maximum of 1000 image files from the connected USB device. Do not pull out the USB drive while a file is playing.

While playing back a video file or displaying a picture file in the Media Browser:

1. Press the Info button on the remote control. An information bar appears at the bottom of the screen.
2. Using the directional buttons, highlight the gear wheel symbol (Settings) located on the right side of the information bar.
3. Press OK.
4. The Picture Settings, Sound Settings, Media Browser Settings, and Options menus will become available.

Note: The contents of these menus might change depending on the type of media file currently open. For audio files, only the Sound Settings menu will be available.

You can control playback order using the Loop/Shuffle icons on the information bar (accessed by pressing Info during playback). Highlight the icon and press OK repeatedly to cycle through the modes:

• Loop (Arrow pointing right): All files in the list will be played continuously in their original order.
• Repeat (Looping arrow): The same file will be played continuously (repeat).
• Shuffle (Intertwined arrows): All files in the list will be played once in random order.
• Shuffle Repeat (Intertwined arrows with checkbox): All files in the list will be continuously played in the same random order.

If the symbol is marked with a red cross, the function is deactivated.

CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) allows you to control CEC-enabled devices connected via HDMI using the TV’s remote control.

• Enable CEC: Go to Settings > System > More and set the CEC option to Enabled.
• Using CEC:
  1. Connect a CEC-enabled device (e.g., DVD Player, AV Receiver) to an HDMI port on the TV.
  2. Press the Source button on the TV remote and select the HDMI input corresponding to the connected CEC device from the Sources List. The device might appear with its own name (e.g., “DVD Player”) instead of just the HDMI port name.
  3. Once the source is selected, the TV remote should automatically be able to perform the main functions of the connected device.
• Disable CEC: Go to Settings > System > More and set the CEC option to Disabled.

To stop controlling the connected HDMI CEC device and regain control of the TV using the TV remote, press and hold the “0-Zero” button on the TV remote control for 3 seconds.

ARC (Audio Return Channel) is an audio link feature that replaces the need for a separate audio cable (like optical or co-axial) between the TV and an ARC-compatible audio system (A/V receiver or speaker system). When ARC is active, the TV can send audio back down the HDMI cable to the connected audio system.
Note: ARC is supported only via the HDMI2 input on this TV.
When ARC is active, the TV does not automatically mute its other audio outputs (like TV speakers or optical out). If you only want to hear audio from the ARC-connected device, you must manually decrease the TV’s volume to zero.
To control the volume of the ARC-connected audio device using the TV remote, you might need to select that device from the source list first (this directs the volume keys to the external device).

System Audio Control allows you to use an external Audio Amplifier/Receiver connected to the TV and control its volume using the TV’s remote control. To activate this feature:

1. Go to Settings > System > More.
2. Set the Speakers option to Amplifier.

When set to Amplifier, the TV’s internal speakers will be muted, and the audio from the currently watched source will be output to the connected sound system.
Note: For this to work, the connected audio device must support the System Audio Control feature, and the CEC option in the TV’s settings (Settings > System > More) must be set to Enabled.

Go to Settings > Picture. Options include:

• Mode: Select a preset picture mode (Cinema, Game (optional), Sports, Dynamic, Natural).
• Contrast: Adjusts light and dark values.
• Brightness: Adjusts overall brightness.
• Sharpness: Adjusts the sharpness of objects.
• Colour: Adjusts colour saturation.
• Energy Saving: Selects energy saving level (Custom, Minimum, Medium, Maximum, Auto, Screen Off, Off).
• Backlight: Controls the backlight level (inactive unless Energy Saving is set to Custom).
• Advanced Settings: Accesses further picture adjustments.
• PC Position (VGA Only): Accesses geometry adjustments for PC input.
• Reset: Resets picture settings to factory defaults (except Game mode).

Note: Some items may be unavailable in VGA (PC) mode; specific VGA settings are added instead. Available Energy Saving options may differ based on the selected Mode.

Accessed via Settings > Picture > Advanced Settings:

• Dynamic Contrast: Changes the dynamic contrast ratio.
• Noise Reduction: Reduces picture noise if the signal is weak.
• Colour Temp: Sets the colour temperature (Cool, Normal, Warm, Custom).
• White Point: (Available if Colour Temp is Custom) Adjusts ‘warmth’ or ‘coolness’ using Left/Right buttons.
• Picture Zoom: Sets the image size format (aspect ratio).
• Picture Shift: (May be available depending on Picture Zoom) Allows shifting the picture up or down using directional buttons after pressing OK.
• Film Mode: Turn on to improve viewing of fast motion scenes in films (adjusts for different frame rates).
• Skin Tone: Adjusts skin tone (-5 to 5).
• Colour Shift: Adjusts the desired overall colour tone.
• HDMI Full Range: (Visible when watching from HDMI source) Enhances blackness in the picture.

Accessed via Settings > Picture > PC Position (only appears when input source is VGA/PC):

• Autoposition: Automatically adjusts the image position if not centered. Press OK to start.
• Η Position (Horizontal Position): Manually shifts the image left or right.
• V Position (Vertical Position): Manually shifts the image up or down.
• Dot Clock: Corrects interference appearing as vertical banding (useful for spreadsheets/text). Adjust by trial and error.
• Phase: Adjusts to get a clearer picture if hazy or noisy (trial and error).

Go to Settings > Picture, highlight the Reset option, and press OK. This resets all picture settings to their factory defaults, except for the Game mode settings.

Go to Settings > Sound. Options include:

• Volume: Adjusts the volume level.
• Equalizer: Selects equalizer mode (e.g., Music, Movie, Speech, Flat, Classic, User). Custom settings only in User mode.
• Balance: Adjusts the sound balance between left and right speakers.
• Headphone: Sets headphone volume level. (Set low initially to prevent hearing damage).
• Sound Mode: Selects a sound mode if supported by the channel.
• AVL (Automatic Volume Limiting): Sets sound output to a fixed level between programmes to avoid sudden volume changes. Options change if Dolby Audio is On (Auto, Night, Normal, Off).
• Headphone/Lineout: Selects the output mode for the headphone jack (Headphone or Lineout).
• Dolby Audio: Enables Dolby Audio processing (Smart, Movie, Music, News, Off). Setting to Off disables it.
• Dynamic Bass: Enables or disables dynamic bass enhancement.
• Surround sound: Changes surround sound mode (On or Off).
• Digital Out: Sets the digital audio output format (e.g., PCM, Auto).

Note: Some items in the Sound menu might be grayed out if Dolby Audio is set to an option other than Off.

AVL sets the sound to maintain a fixed output level between different programmes or content, helping to prevent sudden loud changes (e.g., during commercials). If the Dolby Audio setting is enabled (not Off), the AVL options change to Auto, Night, Normal, and Off.

• Auto: Automatically switches between Normal or Night mode based on time information (defaults to Normal if no time info).
• Night: Provides more aggressive dynamic range compression suitable for quieter environments.
• Normal: Standard AVL operation.
• Off: Disables AVL.

This setting in the Sound menu determines the behavior of the 3.5mm headphone jack:

• Headphone: Select this option if you have connected headphones. The headphone volume can then be adjusted using the Headphone volume setting. Ensure this is selected when using headphones.
• Lineout: Select this option if you are connecting the headphone jack to an external amplifier. The output level will be set to maximum (fixed line level). Caution: If set to Lineout while headphones are connected, the maximum volume could damage your hearing.

In the Sound menu, the Dolby Audio setting provides several options: Smart, Movie, Music, News, and Off. Setting it to Off disables Dolby processing. Selecting one of the other modes enables specific Dolby audio enhancements tailored for that content type. Note that enabling Dolby Audio may make some other sound settings unavailable (grayed out) and changes the options available under the AVL setting.

Go to Settings > Network. Options include:

• Network Type: Select connection type (Wired Device, Wireless Device, Disabled).
• Scan Wireless Networks: (Available if Network Type is Wireless Device) Starts a search for available Wi-Fi networks.
• Press WPS on your wifi router: (Available if Network Type is Wireless Device) Use this for easy connection if your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup).
• Internet Speed Test: Checks your internet connection bandwidth.
• Advanced Settings: Allows manual configuration of IP and DNS settings.
• Wake On: Enable or disable Wake-on-LAN / Wake-on-Wireless LAN (On/Off).

Refer to the Connectivity section for detailed information.

Go to Settings > Installation. Options include:

• Automatic channel scan (Retune): Displays automatic tuning options:
  • D. Aerial: Searches and stores aerial DVB stations.
  • D. Cable: Searches and stores cable DVB stations.
  • Analogue: Searches and stores analogue stations.
• Manual channel scan: Used for direct broadcast entry (e.g., entering frequency manually).
• Network channel scan: Searches for linked channels in the broadcast system:
  • D. Aerial: Searches for aerial network channels.
  • D. Cable: Searches for cable network channels.
• Analogue fine tune: Fine-tunes analogue channels (only available if analogue channels are stored and one is currently viewed).
• Installation Settings (optional): Displays installation settings sub-menu.
  • Standby Search (*): If enabled, TV searches for new/missing channels while in standby.
  • Dynamic Channel Update (*): If enabled, broadcast changes (frequency, name, subtitle language etc.) are applied automatically while watching.
  (*) Availability depends on model.
• Clear Service List: Clears stored channels (visible only if Country is Denmark, Sweden, Norway, or Finland).
• Select Active Network: Allows selecting broadcasts within a specific network to be listed (available only for Norway).
• Signal Information: Monitors signal level/quality, network name, etc., for available frequencies.
• First time installation: Deletes all stored channels and settings, resetting the TV to factory settings (initiates the FTI process again).

Go to Settings > System. Options include:

• Conditional Access: Controls CAM modules when available.
• Language: Sets menu language.
• Privacy Settings (*): Manage privacy privileges for smart TV apps. Press OK to enter.
• Parental: Access parental control settings (Menu Lock, Maturity Lock, Child Lock, Guidance, Set PIN, Default CICAM PIN). Requires PIN entry.
• Date/Time: Sets the date and time.
• Sources: Edit names, enable/disable sources, set HDMI mode (Regular/Enhanced/Disabled).
• Accessibility: Access accessibility options (Hard of Hearing, Audio Description).
• Netflix: View Netflix ESN number and deactivate Netflix.
• More: Accesses additional system settings (see separate Q&A).

(*) Privacy Settings might be located here or under ‘More’ depending on model/country.

Go to Settings > System > Parental. You will need to enter your PIN (the one set during First Time Installation, or the default 0000 or 1234 if unchanged).

• Menu Lock: Enable/disable access to all menus or installation menus.
• Maturity Lock: Sets an age rating level to restrict programs.
• Child Lock: Locks specific channels.
• Guidance: Enable/disable access to some MHEG applications (requires PIN to release).
• Internet Lock (*): If set to ON, disables internet access via applications. Set to OFF to allow access. (*) Feature availability depends on model/country.
• Set PIN: Defines a new PIN.
• Default CICAM PIN: Change the default PIN for the CI CAM (only available if a module is inserted).

Note: Some options may not be available depending on the country selected during FTI.

Go to Settings > System > Accessibility. Options include:

• Hard of Hearing: Enables special features sent by the broadcaster for the hearing impaired (if available).
• Audio Description: Press OK to see options. Plays a narration track for the blind or visually impaired audience, describing on-screen action. This feature is only available if the broadcaster supports it.

Go to Settings > System > Netflix. If this feature is supported, you can view your unique Netflix ESN (Electronic Serial Number) used to identify your TV, and you can also deactivate Netflix on this device from this menu. Note: A minimum 25Mb/s internet connection is required for 4K Netflix streaming. Connection quality is analyzed during streaming, and full HD/4K quality may take time to achieve or may not be possible on slow connections.

Go to Settings > System > More (or potentially Settings > System > Privacy Settings for HbbTV on some models/countries). Options include:

• Menu Timeout: Changes how long menus stay on screen before disappearing.
• Standby LED: If set to Off, the standby LED will not light up when the TV is in standby.
• HBBTV (*): Enable or disable the HbbTV feature (On/Off).
• Software Upgrade: Check for and install firmware updates. Press OK to see options (Scan for upgrade).
• Application Version: Displays the current software version.
• Subtitle Mode: Selects preferred subtitle type if both DVB and Teletext subtitles are available (Default: DVB subtitle). Only available for Norway.
• Auto TV OFF: Sets the inactivity timer (1-8 hours, or Off) before the TV automatically goes into standby.
• Store Mode: Selects display mode (Home/Store). Set to Home for normal use.
• AVS (Audio Video Sharing): Enables sharing files from smartphones/tablets on the TV screen.
• Power Up Mode: Configures TV state on power-up (Last State / Standby).
• Virtual Remote: Enable or disable the virtual remote feature.
• CEC: Enable or disable CEC functionality completely.
• CEC Auto Power On: Allows connected HDMI-CEC device to turn on the TV and switch input automatically (On/Off).
• Speakers: Select audio output (TV Speaker / Amplifier).
• Show All Cookies (*): Displays all saved cookies.
• Delete All Cookies (*): Deletes all saved cookies.
• OSS: Displays Open Source Software license information.

(*) Feature availability depends on model and country selected in FTI.

When the CEC Auto Power On feature (in Settings > System > More) is enabled (set to On using Left/Right buttons), a connected HDMI-CEC compatible device can automatically turn on the TV and switch the TV’s input source to that device when the device itself is activated or requires interaction. CEC must also be enabled.

Go to Settings > System > More and find the Speakers option.

• Select TV Speaker (default) to use the TV’s internal speakers.
• Select Amplifier if you want to hear the TV audio from a connected compatible audio device (like an amplifier or receiver, typically connected via HDMI ARC or Optical). When set to Amplifier, the TV speakers are muted, and you can use the TV remote to control the volume of the external audio device (requires System Audio Control support and CEC enabled).

Press the OK button while watching TV to open the Channel List.

• Filtering: Highlight the Filter tab at the top and press OK. Select filtering criteria (e.g., show only a specific favourite list, broadcast type) to narrow down the displayed channels.
• Editing: Highlight the Edit tab and press OK to see editing options like:
  • Tag/Untag channel: Select channels for actions like moving, deleting, or adding to favourites. Press OK on a highlighted channel to tag/untag. Use Tag/Untag all for bulk selection. Press Back/Return after selecting.
  • Move: (After tagging) Select Move, press OK, navigate to the new position, press OK.
  • Delete: (After tagging) Select Delete and press OK.
  • Add/Remove Favourites: (After tagging) Select this option, press OK, choose a favourite list (1-4), and set it to On to add, or Off to remove.
  • Other options like Rename might be available.

You can create up to four different favourite lists.

1. Open the Channel List (press OK button).
2. Highlight the Edit tab and press OK.
3. Select the Tag/Untag channel option and press OK.
4. Highlight a channel you want to add to a favourite list and press OK to tag it. You can tag multiple channels. Use Tag/Untag all if needed.
5. Press the Back/Return button to go back to the Edit options.
6. Select Add/Remove Favourites and press OK.
7. The favourite list options (Favourites 1, Favourites 2, etc.) will be displayed. Highlight the list you want to add the tagged channel(s) to.
8. Press the Right directional button or OK to set the desired list option to On. The selected channel(s) are now added to that list.

To remove a channel from a favourite list, follow the same steps, but in the final step, set the list option for that channel back to Off.
You can then use the Filter tab in the Channel List to display only the channels from a specific favourite list.

The EPG allows you to browse the event schedule for currently installed channels. Support depends on the broadcaster. Access it by:

• Pressing the Guide button on the remote.
• Navigating via the menu: Home > TV > Guide.

There are two layout types: Timeline Schedule and Now/Next. You can switch between them by highlighting the tab with the alternative layout’s name at the top of the EPG screen and pressing OK. Use directional buttons to navigate, and Back/Return to use tab options.

In the Timeline Schedule layout, events for listed channels are shown chronologically.

• Use Up/Down directional buttons to scroll through channels.
• Use Left/Right directional buttons to scroll through time/events for the highlighted channel.
• Highlight an event and press OK to display the Event Options menu (Set/Delete Timer, More Info, etc.).
• Press Back/Return to access tabs at the top:
  • Filter: Press OK to see filtering options (e.g., by genre).
  • Now/Next: Press OK to switch to the Now/Next layout.
  • Previous Day / Next Day: Press OK to view the schedule for the previous or next day.
  • Extras: Press OK to access options like Highlight Genre, Guide Search, Now (jump to current time), Zoom (change time scale).

In the Now/Next layout, only the current and immediately following events for the listed channels are displayed.

• Use Up/Down directional buttons to scroll through the channels/events.
• Highlight an event and press OK to display the Options menu (see Event Options Q&A).
• Press Back/Return to access tabs at the top:
  • Filter: Press OK to see filtering options.
  • Timeline Schedule: Press OK to switch to the Timeline layout.

When you highlight an event in the Now/Next EPG schedule and press OK, the following options appear:

• Select Channel: Switches to the selected channel to watch it. The EPG will close.
• More Info: Displays detailed information about the selected event. Use Up/Down buttons to scroll through the text.
• Set Timer on Event / Delete Timer on Event: Select “Set Timer on Event” and press OK to schedule a timer for a future event. If a timer is already set for the highlighted event, the option will be “Delete Timer on Event”; select it and press OK to cancel the timer.

Notes: You cannot switch channels if an active timer is set on the current channel. It’s not possible to set timers for two or more individual events that occur at the same time on different channels.

If your TV is connected to the internet and you have agreed to the Freeview Play terms, you can access catch-up TV directly from the EPG (Timeline layout).

1. Open the EPG (Guide button). Ensure you are in the Timeline Schedule layout.
2. Use the directional buttons (usually Left) to scroll *back* in time through the schedule for a supported channel.
3. You will see content from the last few days listed. Available catch-up content will be marked with a play icon.
4. Highlight the catch-up programme you want to watch and press the OK button. The relevant broadcaster’s TV Player application should launch and start playing the content.

Note: Availability depends on the broadcaster. Ensure your TV has a stable internet connection.

• Press the Text button to enter Teletext mode (if available on the current channel).
• Press Text again to activate mix mode (Teletext page overlaid on the TV picture).
• Press Text once more to exit.
• If available, sections on Teletext pages will be colour-coded. Press the corresponding coloured buttons (Red, Green, Yellow, Blue) on the remote to select those sections/pages quickly.
• Follow any other instructions displayed on the Teletext screen. Use numeric buttons to enter page numbers.

With digital terrestrial broadcasting (DVB-T), you may also have access to digital teletext, sometimes broadcast alongside normal programming.

• Press the Text button or potentially the Red button to view digital teletext information if available.
• Operate it using the coloured buttons, cursor (directional) buttons, and the OK button.
• The operation method might differ depending on the content. Follow the instructions displayed on the digital teletext screen.
• Press the Text button again to return to the television broadcast.

While watching BBC channels:

1. Press the Red button or the Text button on your remote control.
2. This will launch the Red Button+ service provided by the BBC.
3. The opening page gives access to main BBC services like BBC iPlayer, News, Sport, etc., and links to related applications.
4. Use the navigation (directional) buttons on the remote to move through the application.
5. Press the Exit button to close the Red Button+ service and return to TV viewing.

An internet connection is required.

Your TV can find and update firmware automatically via broadcast signal or Internet.
Manual Search via User Interface:

1. Go to Settings > System > More.
2. Navigate to Software upgrade and press OK.
3. Select Scan for upgrade and press OK. The TV will check for new software.
4. If a new upgrade is found, it starts downloading automatically.
5. After the download is complete, a warning message appears. Press OK to complete the upgrade process and restart the TV.

Automatic 3 AM Search:

• If the Automatic scanning option (location may vary, possibly under Installation settings) is set to Enabled, and the TV is connected to an aerial signal or the Internet, it will automatically search for new upgrades around 3:00 AM.
• If new software is found and successfully downloaded, it will be installed the next time the TV is powered on.

Important Notes:

• Do not unplug the power cord while the LED is blinking during the reboot process after an upgrade.
• If the TV fails to turn on after an upgrade, unplug it, wait two minutes, then plug it back in.
• If a manual scan finds no software, it means the TV already has the current version.

• Make sure the power cord is plugged securely into the wall outlet.
• Press the Power button on the TV set itself (joystick control) or the Standby button on the remote control.

• Check if you have correctly tuned the TV. Perform an automatic or manual channel scan if necessary.
• Low signal level can cause picture distortion. Check your antenna connections (cable condition, plug connection). Consider using a signal amplifier if the signal is weak.
• Ensure you entered the correct channel frequency if you performed a manual tuning.

• The TV might not be receiving any signal. Make sure the correct input source (e.g., HDMI 1, TV/Aerial) has been selected using the Source button.
• Is the antenna connected properly?
• Is the antenna cable damaged?
• Are suitable plugs used to connect the antenna?
• If in doubt about your antenna setup, consult your dealer.

• Check if the TV sound is muted. Press the Mute button on the remote.
• Increase the volume using the Volume + button.
• Sound might be coming from only one speaker. Check the Balance setting in the Settings > Sound menu.
• Ensure the Speakers setting (Settings > System > More) is set to TV Speaker, unless you intend to use an external amplifier.

• The batteries may be exhausted. Replace the AA batteries.
• The batteries might be inserted incorrectly. Check the (+) and (-) polarity alignment as shown in the “Inserting the Batteries into the Remote” section.

• It’s possible that no device is connected to the selected input.
• Check the AV cables (e.g., HDMI, component, composite) and connections from your external device to the TV. Ensure they are securely plugged into the correct ports on both the device and the TV.
• Check that the connected external device is switched on.
• Try selecting the input source again using the Source button.

If the image from a connected PC via VGA is not centered:

1. Go to Settings > Picture > PC Position menu.
2. Highlight Autoposition and press OK. Wait for the automatic adjustment to finish.

If you need to adjust manually:

• Use the H Position option (highlight and use Left/Right directional buttons) to shift the image horizontally.
• Use the V Position option (highlight and use Left/Right directional buttons) to shift the image vertically.

You might also need to adjust Dot Clock and Phase settings in the same PC Position menu for optimal clarity.

1. Ensure you have a modem/router connected to an active broadband internet connection.
2. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable (LAN cable) to a LAN port on your modem/router.
3. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the rear (back) of your TV.
4. Configure the settings (see next Q&A).

Alternatively, depending on your network configuration, you might connect the TV directly to a network wall outlet using an Ethernet cable.

After physically connecting the Ethernet cable:

1. Go to Settings > Network menu.
2. Select Network Type and set it to Wired Device. The connection status should update.
3. (Optional) Highlight Internet Speed Test and press OK to check the connection bandwidth.
4. (Optional) Highlight Advanced Settings and press OK to manually configure IP and DNS settings if needed (change from Automatic to Manual and enter values). Press Save when done.

The TV has built-in WLAN (Wi-Fi).

1. Ensure your wireless modem/router is turned on and broadcasting its network name (SSID). The TV cannot connect to networks with a hidden SSID. Make your SSID visible via your modem’s settings if necessary.
2. Go to Settings > Network menu on the TV.
3. Select Network Type and set it to Wireless Device.
4. Highlight Scan Wireless Networks and press OK.
5. A list of available networks will appear. Highlight your desired network name (SSID) and press OK.
6. If the network is password-protected (most are), a virtual keyboard will appear. Enter the correct Wi-Fi password using the directional buttons and OK button on the remote control.
7. Wait until the IP address is shown on the screen, indicating the connection is established.

Alternatively, if your router supports WPS:

1. Go to Settings > Network, set Network Type to Wireless Device.
2. Highlight Press WPS on your wifi router and press OK on the TV remote.
3. Go to your modem/router device and press its WPS button within the timeframe (usually 2 minutes).
4. A confirmation should appear on the TV screen once paired. Select OK to proceed. No password entry is needed.

A Wireless-N router (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n) with simultaneous 2.4 and 5 GHz bands is recommended. These are designed to increase bandwidth and are optimized for smoother and faster HD video streaming, file transfers, and wireless gaming. Note that the TV supports 802.11 a, b, g, & n standards. For best performance, especially for video, using the IEEE 802.11n protocol is highly recommended.

If your mobile device (smartphone, tablet) has WLAN capability and appropriate sharing software installed:

1. Ensure your TV is connected to your home network router (wired or wireless).
2. Connect your mobile device to the *same* home network router via Wi-Fi.
3. Activate the sharing software on your mobile device and select the files (photos, music, videos) you want to share.
4. On the TV, go to the Sources menu (press Source button or Home > Sources).
5. Highlight the AVS (Audio Video Sharing) option and press OK.
6. A list of available media server devices on the network (including your mobile device if sharing is active) will be displayed.
7. Select your mobile device from the list and press OK.
8. The Media Browser should open, allowing you to access the shared files from your mobile device.

Note: This feature may not be supported on all mobile devices or require specific apps. You might be able to download a virtual remote controller app from your mobile device’s app store which may include sharing capabilities.

Wake-on-LAN (WoL – for wired connection) and Wake-on-Wireless LAN (WoWLAN) allow the TV to be turned on or woken up from standby mode by a network message sent from another device (like a smartphone) on the same local network.

• Compatibility: Your TV is WoL and WoWLAN compatible.
• Enabling: Go to Settings > Network and set the Wake On option to On. (It might be disabled by default or during FTI).
• Requirements:
  • Both the TV and the remote device sending the message must be connected to the same network.
  • The remote device needs a program/app capable of sending the wake-up message.
  • This feature is only supported for Android OS devices and can currently only be used via the YouTube and Netflix applications.
  • The TV and the remote device must have been connected at least once while the TV was powered on. If the TV is fully powered off (unplugged), the connection needs to be re-established the next time it’s on for Wake On to work subsequently from standby.
• Disabling for Power Saving: If you want the TV to consume less power in standby mode, set the Wake On option to Off.

Note: Performance may vary depending on the remote device’s software architecture. Ensure your device has the latest firmware version.

• Ensure that any firewalls on your network allow the TV wireless connection. Check your router’s firewall settings.
• Try searching for wireless networks again using the Scan Wireless Networks option in the Settings > Network menu.
• Ensure your router’s SSID is not hidden.
• If the wireless network still doesn’t function properly, try using a wired network connection instead. Connect the TV to your router using an Ethernet cable (refer to Wired Connectivity section).
• If the TV also doesn’t function with a wired connection, check your modem/router. If the router seems okay, check your internet connection itself (contact your ISP if necessary).

• Consult your wireless modem/router’s instruction book for information on internal service area, connection speed, signal quality, and other settings. You need a high-speed connection for optimal performance, especially for streaming.
• Wireless interference can cause disruption or slow reactions during playback. Try keeping the TV and router at least three meters away from potential sources of interference like microwave ovens, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, or other WLAN-compatible devices (e.g., neighbours’ routers).
• Try changing the active Wi-Fi channel on your WLAN router to one with less interference.
• Consider using a wired (Ethernet) connection for potentially better stability and speed compared to wireless.

• MAC Address Filtering: If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or network requires device MAC addresses to be registered (permanently registered), your TV might not connect because it has its own unique MAC address which the ISP cannot validate. Contact your ISP and request information on how to connect a different device (like your TV) or register its MAC address.
• Firewall Issues: A firewall on your network (router firewall or PC firewall) might be blocking the connection or device discovery needed for internet access or the Audio Video Sharing feature. Check your firewall settings to ensure the TV is allowed access. If you suspect a firewall issue, contact your ISP or network administrator.

This might happen when trying to access files shared from a PC using a media server program. Ensure that:

• You have logged onto your PC with an authorized username and password.
• Your PC’s domain is active and valid *before* you start sharing files via your media server program.

If the domain is invalid, it can cause problems browsing files via the Audio Video Sharing feature.

AVS allows you to view/play photos, music, and videos stored on a media server (like a PC or compatible mobile device) connected to your home network.

1. Server Software Installation: Ensure the required media server software is installed and running on your PC or companion device. AVS cannot be used without proper server software.
2. Network Connection: Connect both your TV and the server device (PC/mobile) to your home network (Wired or Wireless). See the Connectivity sections for details. A wired connection is recommended for higher playback quality.
3. Enable AVS on TV: Go to Settings > System > More and ensure the AVS option is enabled.
4. Play Shared Files via Media Browser:
   • Press the Source button on the TV remote.
   • Highlight the AVS option in the Sources menu using directional buttons and press OK.
   • A list of available media server devices detected on your network will appear.
   • Select the desired server device (e.g., your PC) and press OK.
   • The Media Browser interface will open, displaying the shared folders and files from the selected server.
   • Navigate and select the file you want to play using the directional buttons and press OK.

Refer to the Media Browser section for more on file playback controls. If network problems occur, try switching the TV off at the wall socket and then back on. Note: Trick mode (fast forward/rewind) and jump features are not supported with AVS. Some PCs (e.g., business PCs) may have security settings preventing AVS usage.

Freeview Play provides access to catch-up TV and On Demand services from various UK broadcasters.
Accessing Freeview Play:

• Press the dedicated Freeview Play button on your remote control.
• Alternatively, go to the Home menu or the Apps menu, highlight Freeview Play, and press OK.

If you didn’t agree to the terms and conditions during First Time Installation, you’ll be prompted to do so first. Highlight Yes and press OK to proceed.
Once launched, integrated TV Player applications (like BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, etc.) will be displayed. Select one and press OK, then choose content to watch. You can also access catch-up content directly via the EPG (see EPG Catch-Up Q&A).

To use Freeview Play services, you need to fulfill these requirements:

• Connect the TV to the internet. A minimum broadband speed of 2Mbps is required for proper operation of catch-up and on-demand services.
• Agree to the Freeview Play terms and conditions (prompted during first use or FTI).

Note: Using Freeview Play will count towards any monthly broadband data allowance. Only selected channels offer the 7-day catch-up feature.

1. Enter the Apps menu (Home > Apps > OK).
2. Launch the Internet Browser application (orange logo with earth symbol) by highlighting it and pressing OK.
3. The initial screen shows thumbnails for predefined links (Speed Dial) if any, plus options to Edit Speed Dial and Add to Speed Dial.
4. Use the directional buttons on the remote or a connected USB mouse to navigate.
5. To see the browser options bar (address bar, buttons), move the cursor to the top of the page or press the Back/Return button.

The browser bar contains: Previous/Next buttons, Refresh button, Address/Search bar, Speed Dial button (… symbol), and Vewd button (… symbol). Options for History, Tabs, and Bookmarks are also available here.

There are two ways:
Method 1 (From Speed Dial page):

1. Bring up the browser bar (move cursor to top or press Back/Return).
2. Highlight the Speed Dial button (… symbol) and press OK.
3. Select Add to Speed Dial option and press OK.
4. Fill in the blanks for Name and Address (URL) using the virtual keyboard.
5. Highlight OK and press the OK button to save.

Method 2 (While visiting the site):

1. Navigate to the website you want to add.
2. Bring up the browser bar.
3. Highlight the Vewd button (… symbol) and press OK.
4. Select Add to Speed Dial option from the submenu and press OK.
5. Name and Address should be filled automatically.
6. Highlight OK and press the OK button to save.

• Visit a specific website (URL):
  1. Bring up the browser bar.
  2. Select the address/search bar.
  3. Enter the full website address (URL, e.g., http://www.example.com) using the virtual keyboard.
  4. Highlight the Submit button on the virtual keyboard and press OK.
• Search for keywords:
  1. Bring up the browser bar.
  2. Select the address/search bar.
  3. Enter your search keyword(s) using the virtual keyboard.
  4. Highlight the Submit button on the virtual keyboard and press OK to start the search (using the default search engine).
• Use Speed Dial:
  1. Bring up the browser bar.
  2. Select the Speed Dial button (… symbol).
  3. Highlight a saved Speed Dial thumbnail and press OK to visit the site.

You can use a USB mouse connected to the TV for easier navigation. Note: Some web pages or content (like Flash) may not be supported. Downloads are not supported.

HbbTV (Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV) combines broadcast TV with broadband services for interactive features.

• Availability: HbbTV applications are available on channels where signalled by the broadcaster.
• Launching: Broadcasters typically mark one application as “autostart”. This usually launches automatically with a small red button icon appearing on screen to notify you. Press the Red button on your remote to open the application’s full page.
• Interaction: Use the keys indicated by the application (often coloured buttons, directional keys, OK, Exit, playback keys for VOD/catch-up). When an HbbTV app is active, it may take control of some remote keys (e.g., numeric keys might not change channel within a teletext app).
• Toggling View: You can often toggle between the small red button icon view and the full application UI by pressing the Red button again (this behaviour depends on the application).
• Exiting: Applications should provide a way to terminate, often using the Exit button.
• Channel Changes: If you switch channels while an HbbTV app is active, it might continue running, terminate, or terminate and launch another autostart app on the new channel, depending on the applications.

An internet connection is usually required for full functionality (like VOD, catch-up), but applications transmitted via broadcast can still launch without internet.

Yes. You can enable or disable the HbbTV feature from the More menu within Settings > System. Depending on the TV model and selected country, this option might be located under Settings > System > Privacy Settings instead. Set the HBBTV option to Off to disable it.

• This DVB receiver is only suitable for use in the country it was designed for.
• Although it conforms to the latest DVB specifications at the time of manufacture (DVB-T/T2/C supporting MPEG2, MPEG4-AVC, HEVC), compatibility with future DVB transmissions cannot be guaranteed due to potential changes in broadcast signals and technologies.
• Some digital television functions may not be available in all countries.
• Specifications may change without prior notice as products are continually improved.
