To install the batteries in your remote control:

1. Open the battery cover by unhooking it.

2. Insert two AA batteries, making sure to note the correct polarity (+ or -).

3. Close the battery cover.

Caution:

• Incorrect installation may cause battery leakage and corrosion.

• Do not mix old and new batteries.

• Do not mix different battery types (such as alkaline and manganese batteries).

• Do not use rechargeable (Ni-Cd) batteries.

• Do not burn or break batteries.

Assembling the pedestal:

1. Identify the two poles (L and R, printed on the bottom) and the base.

2. Fix the poles to the base securely with the four silver assembly screws (M5 x 18). Tighten the screws firmly.

Attaching the pedestal to the TV:

1. Place the TV on a horizontal and level surface, preferably with a protective cloth underneath.

2. Align the assembled pedestal with the installation hole on the bottom of the TV, matching the arrow mark.

3. Fix the pedestal securely to the TV with the four black assembly screws (M5 x 25). Tighten the screws firmly.

Warning: Do not disassemble or modify the pedestal. Do not use any other TV with this pedestal. During setup, make sure all screws are securely tightened to prevent the TV from falling over.

To attach the AC cord:

1. Align the AC cord plug with the socket on the back of the TV.

2. Insert it firmly until the tabs on both sides of the plug click into place.

To remove the AC cord:

1. Press both tabs on the sides of the plug simultaneously.

2. Pull the AC cord plug away from the TV.

To attach the clamper:

1. Insert the cable clamper into the designated hole on the back of the TV.

To bundle cables:

1. Gather your cables together.

2. Wrap the clamper’s strap around the cables and insert the end of the strap into the clamper’s set hook.

To loosen the bundle:

1. Press and hold the knob on the clamper.

2. While holding the knob, pull the strap to loosen it.

Note: Do not bundle the RF (antenna) cable and the AC power cord together, as this could cause a distorted image.

The “First time setup” menu appears when the TV is turned on for the first time after the power cord is plugged in.

Step 1: Turn the TV On

Press the POWER button on the TV or the remote control.

Step 2: Select Language and Viewing Environment

1. Use the arrow buttons to select your language (English, Español, Français) and press OK.

2. Select your viewing environment. Choose “Home” for home use. Press OK.

3. Confirm your selection by pressing OK again. If you accidentally select “Store”, you will need to reselect “Home” or unplug the TV, plug it back in, and press and hold the front POWER button to restart the process.

Step 3: Adjust the Clock

1. The “First time setup” menu will appear. “Clock” will be highlighted. Press OK.

2. Use the arrow buttons to select the Year, Month, Day, Hour, and Minute. Press OK to set each item.

3. Press RETURN to go back.

Step 4: Auto Channel Setup

1. Select “Auto program” and press OK.

2. Select the “ANT in” source (Cable or Antenna) and press OK.

3. Select “Auto” and press OK.

4. Select a scanning mode (All channels, Analog only, or Digital only) and press OK.

5. The TV will start scanning for available channels.

6. Once scanning is complete, a list of registered channels will be shown. Select “Apply” and press OK to save the channels.

1. Press the POWER button to turn the TV on.

2. Select a channel using one of the following methods:

• Press the CH up/down buttons.

• Use the numeric keypad (0-9) to enter the channel number directly. For digital sub-channels (e.g., 15-1), press 1, then 5, then the ” . ” button, then 1.

To Set Favorite Channels:

1. Press the SUB MENU button on the remote.

2. Select “Set favorite” and press OK.

3. Use the arrow buttons to highlight a position on the list (1-4).

4. Press OK to save the currently displayed channel to that position.

5. To delete a favorite, highlight it and hold down the OK button.

To Use Favorite Channels:

1. Press the FAVORITE button to display the favorite channels screen.

2. Use the arrow buttons or the numeric keys (1-9, 0) to highlight a channel on the list.

3. Press OK to switch to the highlighted channel.

1. Insert a compatible SD or SDHC card into the SD CARD slot on the TV.

2. When the “SD card setting” menu appears, you can select “Play SD card now” to view photos immediately. You can also set it to “Play SD card automatically” for future use.

3. If the menu does not appear, press the TV MENU button, select “SD card”, and press OK.

4. The Photo viewer will open in thumbnail view. Use the arrow buttons to select a photo and press OK to view it full screen.

5. While viewing a photo, you can use the on-screen navigation area to rotate, go to the next/previous photo, or start a slideshow.

1. While in the Photo viewer (thumbnail or single photo view), press the TV MENU button.

2. The “Photo menu” will appear. Select “Setup slide show” and press OK.

3. You can adjust the following settings:

• Disp. time: Set how many seconds each image is displayed (1-10/15/20/30/45/60/120 sec).

• Repeat: Turn the slide show Repeat function On or Off.

4. Once settings are adjusted, press RETURN to exit the menu. Start the slideshow from the on-screen navigation options.

Ensure the external equipment (DVD player, game console, etc.) is turned on.

1. Press the VIDEO button on the remote control. The “Input select” menu will appear.

2. Use the arrow buttons to highlight the desired input source (e.g., Component 1, HDMI 1, Video 2) and press OK.

Alternatively, you can press the corresponding number button on the remote for the input you want to select from the list.

To switch to an input labeled “GAME”, you can press the dedicated GAME button on the remote.

VIERA Link allows you to control other Panasonic equipment with “HDAVI Control” connected to your TV via HDMI cable, using just the TV remote. Features include automatic input switching, power on/off link, and speaker control.

To set up VIERA Link:

1. Connect your compatible Panasonic equipment to the TV using an HDMI cable.

2. Press the TV MENU button on the remote.

3. Select “Setup” and press OK.

4. Select “VIERA Link setting” and press OK.

5. Highlight “VIERA Link” and use the arrow buttons to select “On”.

After enabling VIERA Link, you can configure individual settings like “Power off link”, “Power on link”, and “Default speakers” from the same menu.

The Lock feature allows you to block specific channels or programs based on ratings.

Initial Setup:

1. Press TV MENU, select “Lock”, and press OK.

2. You will be prompted to create a 4-digit password. Enter a new password, then enter it again to confirm. Make a note of this password.

Using the Lock Feature:

1. Access the “Lock” menu and enter your 4-digit password.

2. Select “Mode” and set it to “Custom”.

3. You can now set locks for:

• Channel: Select “Channel lock” to block up to 7 specific channels.

• Game: Select “Game” and set to “On” to lock external inputs (Channel 3, Channel 4, and external inputs).

• Program: Select “Program lock” to block shows based on their TV or movie ratings (e.g., MPAA or U.S. TV ratings).

To view a locked channel or program, you will be prompted to enter your password.

1. Press the TV MENU button.

2. Select “CC” from the menu and press OK.

3. In the CC menu, set “Mode” to “On”.

4. You can then configure settings for Analog and Digital broadcasts:

• Analog: Choose the service (CC1-4, T1-4). CC1-4 typically appears at the bottom of the screen, while T1-4 is textual information that can cover the screen.

• Digital: Choose the service (Primary, Second, etc.). You can further customize the appearance by selecting “Digital setting”, where you can change the text size, font, style, and colors.

5. To disable Closed Captions, set “Mode” to “Off”.

To set the Sleep Timer:

1. Press TV MENU, select “Timer”, and press OK.

2. Select “Sleep” and press OK.

3. Choose a time after which the TV will automatically turn off (30, 60, or 90 minutes) and press OK.

To set the On/Off Timer:

1. Ensure the clock is set correctly.

2. Press TV MENU, select “Timer”, and press OK.

3. Select one of the timers (Timer 1-5) and press OK.

4. Set the following options:

• Channel: Select the channel the TV will turn on to.

• Day: Select the day(s) for the timer (e.g., specific day, MON-FRI, DAILY).

• On time: Set the time for the TV to turn on.

• Off time: Set the time for the TV to turn off.

• Set: Turn the timer “On”.

You can program the TV’s remote to control other devices like a VCR, DVD player, or cable box.

1. Turn on the TV and turn off the external equipment you want to control.

2. On the remote, press and hold the POWER button and the OK button simultaneously for more than 3 seconds. The equipment selection buttons (TV, VCR, DBS/CBL, DVD) will start flashing.

3. Within 30 seconds, press the button for the equipment you are programming (e.g., DVD). The selected button will remain lit.

4. Enter the 4-digit remote control code for your equipment’s brand using the numeric keypad. A list of codes can be found in the operating instructions.

5. Press the POWER button. The external equipment should turn on. If it operates correctly, the setup is complete. If it does not operate, or if your brand has multiple codes, repeat the process with the next code.

Press the FORMAT button on the remote control repeatedly to cycle through the available aspect modes. The available modes depend on the input signal resolution:

• For 480i, 480p signals: FULL / JUST / 4:3 / ZOOM

• For 1080p, 1080i, 720p signals: FULL / H-FILL / JUST / 4:3 / ZOOM

• FULL: Enlarges the image to fill the screen.

• JUST: Stretches a 4:3 image to the four corners of the screen with minimal distortion at the center.

• 4:3: Displays the image in its standard 4:3 aspect ratio with side bars.

• ZOOM: Enlarges a 4:3 letterbox image to fill the screen.

• H-FILL: Enlarges a 4:3 image horizontally to fill the screen, cutting off the side edges of the image.

First, always unplug the power cord from the wall outlet before cleaning.

Display Panel:

Gently wipe the panel surface with a soft, lint-free cloth. For tougher dirt, soak the cloth in a diluted mild liquid dish soap (1 part soap to 100 parts water), wring it out thoroughly, and wipe the surface. Follow up by wiping with a dry cloth until the surface is dry. Do not scratch the panel or use volatile substances like insect sprays or solvents.

Cabinet:

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a cloth slightly dampened with a weak mild liquid dish soap solution, then wipe dry. Avoid volatile substances and do not let the product have long-term contact with rubber or PVC items.

Pedestal:

Wipe surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. If very dirty, use a cloth soaked in water with a small amount of mild liquid dish soap, then wipe dry. Do not use solvents, thinners, or household wax.

This is not a fault. It is the screen saver function, which is designed to prevent “Image retention” (or burn-in). The screen saver activates if the TV unit is not operated for a certain period of time in SD mode.

The Plasma panel is made with advanced technology and consists of millions of pixels. Occasionally, a few pixels may appear bright or dark. This does not indicate a defective panel and will have no impact on the performance of the TV.

Check for nearby electrical products that may cause interference, such as a car, motorcycle, or fluorescent lamp. Move them away from the TV if possible.

Please check the following:

• Is the AC power cord plugged securely into the wall outlet?

• Is the TV turned On?

• Check the Picture menu settings and the volume level.

• Check that all AV cable connections are secure.

• Check that the correct input has been selected using the VIDEO button.

• Set the “SAP” setting to “Stereo” or “Mono”.

• Check the audio settings of the device connected via HDMI. Set its audio setting to “Linear PCM.”

• If you are having issues with a digital sound connection, try using an analog sound connection instead.

Even when the temperature of parts of the front, top, and rear panels rises, these temperature changes will not pose any problems in terms of performance or quality. This is normal operation.

These sounds are normal and not a sign of a malfunction:

• Whirring sound: The TV may have a cooling fan that makes a soft whir.

• Tick/Click sound: When the TV is powered on, an electrical component activates, which can produce a tick or click sound.

• Buzzing sound: Electrical circuits are active while the TV is on, which can produce a buzzing sound.

• Metallic sounds: Changes in room temperature and humidity can cause the TV’s cabinet to expand or contract, producing metallic sounds.

• Check if the batteries are installed correctly with the proper polarity (+/-).

• The batteries may be old. Replace them with new ones.

• Ensure you have selected the correct remote control mode (e.g., TV, VCR, DVD) for the device you are trying to operate.
