To assemble your PANASONIC SC-HTB770 speakers horizontally, please follow these steps. To prevent damage or scratches, it is recommended to lay down a soft cloth and perform the assembly on it.

Step 1. Lay out the speaker components on the soft cloth.

Step 2. Connect the speaker sections together using the provided screws. Ensure you tighten the screws securely.

Step 3. Connect the speaker wires to the back of the assembled speaker bar. Connect the Green, Red, and White connectors to their corresponding terminals.

Step 4. To connect each wire, push it into the terminal and then press it into the groove to secure it.

Step 5. Ensure correct polarity when connecting speaker wires: the White part of the wire is positive (+) and the Blue line part is negative (-). Fully insert the wire into the terminal.

To assemble your PANASONIC SC-HTB770 speakers vertically, please follow these steps. It is recommended to lay down a soft cloth to prevent damage or scratches during assembly.

Step 1. Attach the stands to the speaker bases and tighten the screws securely.

Step 2. Connect the speaker wires to the terminals inside the base. To ensure correct polarity, connect the White part of the wire to the positive (+) terminal and the Blue line part to the negative (-) terminal. Fully insert the wire.

Step 3. Press the speaker cable into the groove along the stand and the base to conceal it.

Step 4. Mount the speakers onto the stands.

Step 5. Connect the speaker wire connectors to the main unit and subwoofer according to their placement:

– Speaker with Red connector: To the right

– Speaker with White connector: To the left

– Speaker with Green connector: In the center

Step 6. To connect to the subwoofer, simply push the connector into the corresponding terminal until it clicks.

Do not connect the AC power supply cord to the main unit and the active subwoofer until all other connections for your PANASONIC SC-HTB770 are completed.

To connect your PANASONIC SC-HTB770 to a TV with HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC), follow these steps:

Step 1. Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI AV OUT (ARC) port on the main unit of your sound system.

Step 2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to your TV’s HDMI IN port that is labeled (ARC). Be sure to use the ARC compatible terminal on your TV.

Step 3. Connect the White, Green, and Red speaker wire connectors to the corresponding ports on the main unit.

This setup allows the home theater system to receive and play audio from the TV through a single HDMI cable without additional wiring.

If your TV does not have an HDMI (ARC) port, follow these steps to connect your PANASONIC SC-HTB770:

Step 1. Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI AV OUT (ARC) port on the main unit.

Step 2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to any available HDMI IN port on your TV.

Step 3. Connect one end of an Optical digital audio cable to the OPTICAL OUT port on your TV.

Step 4. Connect the other end of the optical cable to the DIGITAL AUDIO IN (OPT1) port on the main unit.

Step 5. Connect the White, Green, and Red speaker wire connectors to the corresponding ports on the main unit.

To control your PANASONIC SC-HTB770 with your TV’s remote, follow these steps:

Step 1. Turn on the active subwoofer.

Step 2. On your TV, navigate to the VIERA Link menu (or the equivalent HDMI CEC settings menu) and select this home theater system as the TV’s speakers.

Step 3. You can now use your TV’s remote control to adjust the volume by pressing the [+ VOL -] buttons.

Please note: If your TV is not a Panasonic TV, you may need to set the audio output setting to “Receiver” or “External speakers” to “On”. Operation with other manufacturers’ equipment that supports HDMI CEC cannot be guaranteed.

If your TV is not compatible with VIERA Link or HDMI CEC, follow these steps to use your PANASONIC SC-HTB770:

Step 1. Turn on the main unit, the active subwoofer, and your TV.

Step 2. On the sound system’s remote or main unit, press the [INPUT SELECTOR] button to select the TV sound (e.g., OPT1 if using an optical cable).

Step 3. Use the [+ VOL -] buttons on the sound system’s remote to adjust the volume.

If you hear sound from both the TV’s speakers and the home theater system, use your TV’s remote control to lower the TV’s internal speaker volume to the minimum.
