To insert the batteries:

1. Open the cover.
2. Insert the batteries (AA/R6 or AA/LR6) and close the cover. Insert the negative (-) side first.

To remove the batteries:

1. Press the guide and lift the cover.
2. Remove the batteries.

Note: When removing the batteries, perform the steps in reverse order.

The installation modes are set via the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu under [PROJECTION METHOD]. Select the appropriate mode based on your physical setup:

• Setting on a desk/floor and projecting forward: Set [FRONT/REAR] to [FRONT] and [FLOOR/CEILING] to [AUTO] or [FLOOR].
• Setting on a desk/floor and projecting from rear (translucent screen): Set [FRONT/REAR] to [REAR] and [FLOOR/CEILING] to [AUTO] or [FLOOR].
• Mounting on the ceiling and projecting forward: Set [FRONT/REAR] to [FRONT] and [FLOOR/CEILING] to [AUTO] or [CEILING].
• Mounting on the ceiling and projecting from rear (translucent screen): Set [FRONT/REAR] to [REAR] and [FLOOR/CEILING] to [AUTO] or [CEILING].

Note: The projector has a built-in angle sensor. The attitude of the projector is automatically detected by setting [FLOOR/CEILING] to [AUTO].

Install the projector on a flat surface so that the front of the projector is parallel to the screen surface and the projection screen is rectangular. If the screen is tilted downward, extend the front adjustable feet so that the projected image becomes rectangular. The adjustable feet can also be used to adjust the projector to be level when it is tilted in the horizontal direction.

Adjustable feet can be extended by turning them. Turning them in the opposite direction will return them to the original position.

Maximum adjustable range: Adjustable feet: 20 mm (25/32″) each.

Attention: Replace the projection lens after turning off the power of the projector.

1. Loosen the screw fixing the lens hole cover using a Phillips screwdriver (turn counterclockwise).
2. Remove the lens hole cover by pressing the lens release button and turning the cover counterclockwise until the mark on the cover aligns with the mark on the projector (on the left side of LOCK).
3. Insert the projection lens by aligning the mark on the projection lens (orange) with the mark on the projector (on the left side of LOCK) and turn clockwise until it clicks.
4. Secure the projection lens with the supplied lens fixing screw using a Phillips screwdriver in screw hole A located to the right of the mark on the projection lens.

After attaching, turn on the projector, confirm the [LENS TYPE] setting, and execute lens calibration.

Note: Move the projection lens to the home position before replacing or removing it.

1. Remove the lens fixing screw using a Phillips screwdriver.
2. Remove the projection lens by turning it counterclockwise while pressing the lens release button until the mark on the lens aligns with the mark on the projector.
3. Attach the supplied lens hole cover by aligning the marks and turning clockwise until it clicks.
4. Secure the lens hole cover with the screw using a Phillips screwdriver.

1. Connect the power cord to the projector.
2. Connect the power plug to an outlet.
3. Press the <ON> side of the <MAIN POWER> switch to turn on the power. The power indicator <ON (G)/STANDBY (R)> lights in red, and the projector enters standby mode.
4. Press the power on button on the remote control or control panel. The power indicator will light in green and the image will soon be projected.

Note: Always remove the lens cover before starting projection.

1. Press the power standby button. The [POWER OFF(STANDBY)] confirmation screen is displayed.
2. Press the left/right arrow buttons to select [OK], and press the <ENTER> button (or press the power standby button again).
3. Projection will stop, and the power indicator lights in orange (fan running).
4. Wait until the power indicator lights in red (fan stopped).
5. Press the <OFF> side of the <MAIN POWER> switch to turn off the power.

You can switch the input by directly pressing the input selection buttons on the remote control or control panel:

• <RGB1>: Switches to RGB1 input.
• <RGB2>: Switches to RGB2 input.
• <DIGITAL LINK>: Switches to DIGITAL LINK input.
• <DVI-D>: Switches to DVI-D input.
• <HDMI>: Switches to HDMI input.
• <SDI> or <SDI 1/2>: Switches to SDI1 or SDI2. Switches to the other input when one has already been selected.

Alternatively, press the <INPUT MENU> button to display the input selection list on the screen and select using arrow keys.

Using the Control Panel:

1. Press the <LENS> button. Pressing it cycles through [FOCUS], [ZOOM], and [SHIFT].
2. Select the item and press the arrow buttons to adjust.

Using the Remote Control:

1. Press the <FOCUS>, <ZOOM>, or <SHIFT> buttons.
2. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the selected setting.

Execute lens calibration after attaching the projection lens.

1. Press the <MENU> button.
2. Select [PROJECTOR SETUP] > [LENS] > [LENS CALIBRATION].
3. Press <ENTER>. A confirmation screen is displayed.
4. Select [OK] and press <ENTER>.

The lens calibration will start and the lens will move to the home position upon completion.

To temporarily turn off the image (e.g., during a meeting intermission):

1. Press the <SHUTTER> button on the remote control or control panel. The image disappears.
2. Press the <SHUTTER> button again to restore the image.

Note: The power indicator will blink slowly in green while the shutter is closed.

To control a specific projector when multiple are used:

1. Press the <ID SET> button on the remote control.
2. Within five seconds, press the one-digit or two-digit ID number set on the projector body using the number (<0> – <9>) buttons.

To control all projectors regardless of ID, press the <ID ALL> button.

Connect a LAN cable (CAT5 or higher, straight or crossover) from your computer or hub to the <DIGITAL LINK/LAN> terminal on the projector.

To configure the network settings:

1. Press <MENU> and select [NETWORK] > [NETWORK SETUP].
2. Set [DHCP] to [ON] if using a DHCP server.
3. If not using DHCP, set [DHCP] to [OFF] and manually enter the [IP ADDRESS], [SUBNET MASK], and [DEFAULT GATEWAY].
4. Select [STORE] and press <ENTER>, then select [OK] to confirm.

Outer Case: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. If distinctively dirty, soak cloth in water, wring thoroughly, wipe, and then dry with a dry cloth. Do not use benzene or thinner.

Lens Front Surface: Wipe off dirt and dust with a soft clean cloth. Do not use fluffy, dusty, or oil/water-soaked cloths. Do not use excessive force as the lens is glass and fragile.

• Is the power plug firmly inserted into the outlet?
• Is the <MAIN POWER> switch set to <OFF>?
• Is the wall outlet supplying electricity?
• Have circuit breakers tripped?
• Check if indicators <LIGHT1>/<LIGHT2> or <TEMP> are lighting or blinking.

• Are connections to external devices correctly performed?
• Is the correct input selected?
• Is the [BRIGHTNESS] adjustment set to minimum?
• Is the external device working properly?
• Is the shutter function in use (closed)?
• Is the projection lens attached correctly?
• Is the lens cover still attached?

• Is the lens focus set correctly?
• Is the projection distance appropriate?
• Is the lens dirty?
• Is the projector installed perpendicular to the screen?

• Are the batteries depleted or installed with incorrect polarity?
• Is the <LOCK> button on the remote enabled?
• Are there obstructions between the remote and the sensor?
• Is the remote being used beyond its effective range (approx. 30m)?
• Is strong light affecting the receiver?
• Is the [REMOTE CONTROL] setting in [CONTROL DEVICE SETUP] disabled?
• Is the ID number setting correct?
