Follow these steps for a quick setup of your PANASONIC PT-MW630:

1. Set up the projector.

When installing your PANASONIC PT-MW630, please observe the following precautions:

Do not set up the projector outdoors. The projector is designed for indoor use only.

• The projector may not work properly due to strong radio waves from broadcast stations or radios. Install it away from such sources.

• For focus adjustment, it is recommended that images be projected continuously for at least 30 minutes before the focus is adjusted, as the lens is thermally affected by the light source.

• Do not install the projector at an altitude of 2,700 m (8,858′) or higher above sea level.

• Do not use the projector in a location where the ambient temperature exceeds 45 °C (113 °F).

To ensure proper ventilation for your PANASONIC PT-MW630:

• Do not stack projectors on top of each other.

• Do not use the projector supporting it by the top.

• Do not block the ventilation ports (intake and exhaust).

• Prevent hot and cool air from an air conditioning system from blowing directly onto the ventilation ports.

• Provide at least 1 m (39-3/8″) of space between any walls or objects and the exhaust port.

• Provide at least 50 cm (19-11/16″) of space between any walls or objects and the intake port.

• Do not install the projector in a confined space. If you must, provide separate air conditioning or ventilation. Exhaust heat may accumulate and trigger the protection circuit.

Take sufficient security measures:

• Make your password difficult to guess as much as possible.

• Change your password periodically.

• The connecting network must be secured by a firewall, etc.

• Set a password for the web control and restrict the users who can log in.

Inserting and removing the batteries:

1. Open the cover on the back of the remote.

2. Insert the AAA/R03 batteries and close the cover (insert the negative side first).

Using with multiple projectors:

When you use multiple projectors together, you can operate all projectors simultaneously or each one individually by assigning a unique ID number to each projector. The factory default ID is set to [ALL]. To set a specific ID, use the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [PROJECTOR ID] on the projector, and then use the button on the remote to set the corresponding ID.

Connecting the remote control with a cable:

To control the projector with a wired remote control, connect the remote control’s wired terminal to the terminal of the projector with a commercially available M3 stereo mini plug cable. This is effective when there is an obstacle between the projector and the remote or if there is interference from outside light. The wireless remote control cannot be used when a cable is connected.

Portrait setting

For portrait settings, set [FRONT/REAR] and [FLOOR/CEILING] in accordance with the image to project.

Before replacing or removing the projection lens, move the lens position to the home position. Ensure the projector is turned off.

Removing the projection lens:

1. Turn the top slide cover fixing screw counterclockwise until it turns freely, and then slowly slide the top slide cover open.

2. While pressing the lens release lever, turn the projection lens counterclockwise to the end, and remove the projection lens.

Attaching the projection lens:

1. Align the mark (red dot) on the projection lens with the mark (red dot) on the projector, and insert it all the way in.

2. Turn the projection lens clockwise to the end.

To use the wireless LAN function, you need to attach the optional Wireless Module (Model No.: ET-WM300).

1. Turn off the power of the projector, following the correct shutdown procedure.

2. Remove the top slide cover. Turn the fixing screw counterclockwise until it turns freely, slide the cover until the attachment line is visible, and remove it.

3. Attach the Wireless Module:

• Insert the Wireless Module into the wireless module connection terminal of the projector.

• Confirm that the edge of the Wireless Module is aligned to the wireless module attachment line, and securely fix it with the fixing screw supplied with the module.

4. Re-attach the top slide cover. Align the cover to the attachment line, slide it into place, and securely tighten the fixing screw.

1. Connect the power cord to the projector and then to a power outlet.

• Off: The main power is switched off.

• Lit Red: The power is switched off (standby mode). Projection will start when the power button is pressed.

• Blinking Red: The power is switched off (standby mode), but a function like [QUICK STARTUP] or [IN STANDBY MODE] for audio is active, consuming more power.

• Lit Green: Projecting.

• Lit Orange: The projector is preparing to switch off. The fan is running to cool the projector before it enters standby mode.

You can adjust the focus, zoom, and lens shift to correctly position the projected image on the screen.

Using the control panel:

1. Press the button on the control panel. Pressing the button changes the adjustment screen in the order of [FOCUS], [ZOOM], and [SHIFT].

2. Select each adjustment item and use the arrow buttons to adjust.

Using the remote control:

1. Press the specific lens buttons on the remote control:

• button: Adjusts the lens focus position.

• button: Adjusts the lens zoom position.

• button: Adjusts the vertical and horizontal position of the lens.

2. Select each adjustment item and use the arrow buttons to adjust.

The shutter function allows you to temporarily turn off the image and audio.

2. Press the button again to make the image and audio reappear.

The automatic setup function can automatically adjust the image position for HDMI signals, or the dot clock, clock phase, and image position for analog RGB signals.
