Please be sure to follow these instructions to prevent fires, electrical shocks, explosions, injuries, etc.

For the power plug and cord:

• Periodically wipe the power plug with a dry cloth. Dust can lead to reduced insulation and may cause a fire.

• Plug into a wall outlet of the rated voltage and current, and insert the plug fully.

• Connect to an exclusive wall outlet for the refrigerator only.

• Unroll the entire length of the cord before plugging in.

• Unplug the unit when cleaning.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified person.

• Do not sandwich the cord or let it get damaged.

• Do not handle the power plug with wet hands.

In case of emergency:

• Maintenance work must only be carried out at a workshop by a well-trained maintenance worker.

• Do not store explosive substances like aerosol cans in the appliance.

• Do not use electrical appliances like a deodorizer inside the refrigerator.

• Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the refrigerator yourself.

• Do not use mechanical devices to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

General Usage:

• Do not let children hang or ride on the refrigerator door.

• Do not apply water on the body or interior of the refrigerator.

• Do not damage the cooling circuit (piping on the back).

• Do not touch the compressor or pipes as they can be hot.

• Do not spray combustible chemicals near the refrigerator.

• If you detect a burning smell, disconnect the power plug.

• If you detect a gas leak, ventilate the kitchen.

• Before taking the refrigerator to be recycled, please remove all the door gaskets to prevent a child from being locked inside.

• The operating instructions should be handed over to any person who would use or handle the refrigerator if it is transferred to another location or a recycling plant.

• Cyclo-Pentane is used for insulation and flammable gas is used for refrigerant. When disposing of this unit, please discard it by the proper method and do not dispose of the unit by burning.

• The warning labels on the refrigerator should be kept throughout its life.

• Do not install the product in locations exposed to water.

• Provide a grounding connection or install a ground-fault interrupter if the product is installed in a humid or wet location.

• Do not block the ventilation port of the refrigerator or spaces around it.

• For safety, it should be checked that the ground connection system in the house has been installed correctly.

• Do not freeze glass bottles, as there is a risk of injury from them breaking.

• Do not touch frozen foods or containers with wet hands.

• Store warm food and drinks only after they have cooled down.

• Do not eat any food that smells or has changed color.

• Do not subject glass trays to high impact, as they may break.

• Food containers must reach the bottom of the door shelves and must not protrude from the shelf.

When Cleaning:

• Do not slide hands on the metal rail.

• Do not clean the refrigerator with chemical substances or liquid, as it can cause damage and corrosion.

• Do not place your hands or feet beneath the bottom of the refrigerator.

• Be cautious of the hot copper pipe inside the pan water evap when removing it.

When Moving or Transporting:

• Do not transport the refrigerator in a horizontal position, as it may damage the piping.

• If any damage is noticed, do not touch the refrigerator, avoid using fire, and ventilate the room.

• Apply protective covering to floors with a fragile surface.

• Hold the carrying handles when transporting the refrigerator.

Installation Locations:

• Locate away from direct sunlight or heat.

• Place in a well-ventilated location to avoid rust.

• Position on a level and even surface. On carpet, mats, or vinyl floors, place a plate underneath the refrigerator.

• Place the refrigerator away from other devices like TVs to prevent noise and incorrect image display.

• Allow access to the power plug for easy cleaning.

Heat Radiating Space Requirements:

• 5 cm or more at the back of the refrigerator.

• 3 cm or more on both the left and right sides.

• 8.6 cm or more above the refrigerator.

For safety, a grounding connection should be done to prevent danger from electricity leakage. This can be done in two ways:

1. If the socket has a grounding receptacle, connect the grounding wire to the screw for grounding connection at the bottom rear of the refrigerator (marked with the ground symbol).

2. If the socket does not have a grounding receptacle, connect the grounding wire to the screw at the bottom of the refrigerator, and then connect the other end to a grounding rod.

Prohibited spots for grounding connection: Do not connect grounding wires to water supply pipes, gas pipes, telephone cords, or lightning rods.

• Do not peel the seal on the back: Otherwise, the cooling performance may deteriorate. If you have peeled it, cut a cloth packing tape into a square and paste it onto the refrigerator.

• Initial Cooling Process: Do not open/close the doors until the interior has cooled down sufficiently. It may take approximately 4 hours to cool down the interior, and up to 24 hours or more to achieve equilibrium in the summer.

• Fix the Refrigerator: Turn the adjuster bolts (right and left) until they reach the floor to stabilize the refrigerator.

• Earthquake Preparedness: To prevent the refrigerator from tipping, permanently fix it by using belts, etc.

1) NON-FLON: This unit uses totally NON-FLON MATERIALS for both refrigerant (iso-butane (R600a)) and for insulation (Cyclo-Pentane). These materials do not damage the earth’s ozone layer and have almost no effect on global warming.

2) INVERTER: In accordance with temperature changes inside the compartment, the motor will run at different speeds. When the temperature inside the refrigerator is stable, the motor will run at a lower speed to save energy and lower noise. When powerful cooling is required, the motor will run at a higher speed.

Refrigerator Compartment:

Slide the “REFRIGERATOR CONTROL” lever to adjust the temperature.

Freezer Compartment:

Use the “Freezer” button on the control panel to cycle through Min, Med, and Max settings.

“Med”	Approximately -23°C ~ -17°C
“Min”	Higher than Med by approximately 2°C ~ 3°C

Chilled Case: The temperature is automatically set at approximately -3°C ~ 3°C.

Remark: When first operating the refrigerator, set the temperature to “Med” for each control and leave it for 24 hours for effective cooling.

This mode allows you to adjust the freezer temperature to 9 detailed levels.

How to operate the “9 levels” mode:

1. Set the LED display to “Min” with the “Freezer” button.

2. Press and hold the “Freezer” button for more than 10 seconds until the LED display returns to show at the “Min” position.

3. Set the “9 levels” mode by pressing the “Freezer” button to cycle through the levels. Refer to the display table for level indication.

To reset the “9 levels” mode:

Repeat steps 1 and 2. The refrigerator will return to the normal operation mode.

Legend: “On” is Lighting, “Blinking” is Blinking, “Off” is Not lighting.

• Press the “Freezer” button until the blue “Quick Freezing” LED turns on. The mode will start after 10 seconds.

• The system will stop automatically after 120 minutes (if ambient temperature is below 25°C) or 150 minutes (if ambient temperature is above 25°C) and return to normal mode (the blue LED turns off).

• To stop the operation immediately, press the “Freezer” button until the blue “Quick Freezing” LED turns off.

• If the blue LED is flashing, it means the defrosting system is working. “Quick Freezing” mode will start right after the defrosting operation is finished.

• The freezer temperature control does not operate during “Quick Freezing” mode.

• This model has an ECONAVI mode which detects the opening and closing of the door. It does not feature an ECONAVI lamp or light intensity sensor.

• The refrigerator learns your family’s lifestyle patterns (door opening times, periods of infrequent use) from the previous 3 weeks and uses this learned pattern from the 4th week onwards to optimize its operation.

Setting for enabling ECONAVI operation:

• ECONAVI operation is enabled automatically only when the temperature control of the freezer compartment is set to “Med”.

• ECONAVI does not operate while quick freezing is operating.

• It is not possible to forcefully start ECONAVI operation.

Only the height of the second tray from the top can be changed.

1. Lift up the rear of the tray and pull it forward. Once the protrusions of the tray are unhooked from the rails, tilt and remove the tray by rotating it.

2. To re-insert, reverse the steps. Insert the tray into the desired position.

1. Take out the ice twister: Pull out the ice twister assembly.

2. Fill with water: Fill the ice tray with water up to the “WATER LEVEL” line.

3. Install the ice twister: Place the filled tray back into the ice making compartment.

4. To move ice cubes: Twist the ice twister clockwise. The ice cubes will drop into the ice box below.

To preserve food quality, store it in the correct place.

• General Storing Tip: Foodstuff like vegetables, fruits, and fresh food should be wrapped or packed in a box before refrigerating. High moisture content items should be sealed to prevent dew and frost. Water and beverage bottles should be sealed to prevent odors.

Storage Locations and Approximate Temperatures (when set to “MED”):

• Vegetable Case (Approx. 3°C ~ 8°C): For fruits and vegetables. A rather high humidity keeps them fresh and juicy.

• Refrigerator Compartment (Approx. 1°C ~ 6°C): For regular storage of food and drinks readily served, or temporary storage of those to be served soon.

• Chilled Case (Approx. -3°C ~ 3°C): For food and drinks not to be frozen, such as dairy products that perish easily but whose quality changes if frozen.

• Bottom Freezer Case (Approx. -23°C ~ -17°C): For storing food for an extended period, such as frozen or dried foods.

• Do not stuff food into the compartments: Provide sufficient space between foods to allow cold air to flow freely.

• Do not block the cold air outlet: If cool air does not spread into every corner, the interior will not be sufficiently cooled and more electricity will be consumed.

• Store warm food and drinks after they have cooled: Storing warm items raises the interior temperature and affects the freshness of other foods.

• Open/close the doors for minimum times: Prevent the cool air from escaping.

• Do not put food in the refrigerator when it is not necessary: A cold dark place will suffice for uncut onions, potatoes, etc. (except during the summer).

• Cool just before you eat: If uncut tropical fruits are cooled down excessively, they may be discolored or their vitamin contents may decrease.

• Use tightly sealed containers: This prevents the interior from being discolored and prevents odors from spreading.

1. Clean immediately after it is stained:

Wipe off stains on interior surfaces quickly before they harden. Cooking oil may cause plastic to crack and citrus juice may cause discoloration. If stains are difficult to remove, wipe them with a cloth lightly soaked in a neutral kitchen detergent, then wipe with a cloth lightly dipped in water. Use lukewarm water.

2. Clean detachable items occasionally:

Once a week for the ice twister. As a guide, remove trays, door shelves, etc., and wash them by immersing them in lukewarm water every three months.

3. Clean the door gasket at least once a month:

Clean by wiping with a soft damp cloth. Petroleum gel has been applied to the hinge side of the door gasket; be careful not to wipe this off. If the door gasket comes off, it can be pushed back into the groove.

Warning: Do not use the following items for cleaning, as they will scratch the surface:

• Kitchen detergents (they can crack plastic)

• Cleanser or soap powder

• Benzine, thinner, alcohol, acid, petroleum

• Scrubber

• Hot Water

Before cleaning, disconnect the power plug. After disconnecting, wait 10 minutes before plugging it in again.

Trays:

• Removing: Unhook the protrusion at the back by lifting it upward and pulling the tray outward until it is removed.

• Attaching: Push the tray in until it reaches the end lock. Note: When removing the tray above the vegetable case, pull out the vegetable case first.

Door Shelf:

• Removing: Lift it upward, alternating between the right and left side.

• Attaching: Place on both supports and press in until it reaches the end of the supports.

Vegetable Case / Chilled Case:

• Removing: Pull the case unit forward until it reaches the end of the stopper. Lift the front of the case unit slightly and remove completely.

• Attaching: Insert the case unit into the supports. Raise the case unit up slightly and push forward until the end is reached.

Case (Freezer Compartment):

• Removing: 1. Pull the freezer drawer out. 2. Lift the drawer slightly and pull towards you until it reaches the stoppers. 3. Lift both sides of the bottom freezer case and move upward to remove. Note: The drawer rails are coated with lubricant; do not wipe it off.

ICE TWISTER (Quick Ice Making corner):

• Removing: Unhook the protrusion by lifting it upwards and pulling the ice tray and/or ice box forward until completely removed.

• Attaching: Push the ice tray and/or ice box until it reaches the end lock.

Evap Pan (Backside of the refrigerator):

• Removing: 1. Tilt up the evap pan a bit and then lift it upward until the evap pan hole unlocks from the hook evap pan. 2. Pull the evap pan until it touches the evap pipe then carefully take it out from under the pipe. Do not damage or deform the evap pipe.

• Attaching: 1. Insert the evap pan under the evap pipe. 2. Insert the evap pan hole into the hook evap pan and press-fit both sides.

• Check that the plug and wall socket are in good condition.

• Check if there is any problem with the mains fuse or house wiring.

• Check by unplugging for 10 minutes and plugging back in.

• Check to be sure that the temperature control lever is at the proper position.

• Check to ensure that the refrigerator is not overloaded with foodstuffs or that hot food has been placed in the refrigerator.

• Is the refrigerator exposed to direct sunlight or a heat source?

• Is the refrigerator door completely closed?

• Is the refrigerator door opened frequently?

• Condensation may appear on the surface of the cabinet when humidity is high or air circulation around the unit is poor.

• If there is condensation inside, check if the door is completely closed.

• Is the refrigerator frequently opened or left open for a long time?

• Have any hot foodstuffs been placed inside the refrigerator?

• Check if the refrigerator is located on a stable, level floor and is installed correctly. Use the adjustable bolt if required to level the refrigerator.

• Check if there is any object in contact with the refrigerator.

• A cracking sound within caused by the parts adjusting temperature is normal.

• After installation, the refrigerator may make a loud noise. The noise will be less when the refrigerator has been cooled.

• Was the food placed near the cold air duct?

• If the temperature control has been set to “Max”, try adjusting the temperature control to the “Min” setting.

• Has the food been placed in the chilled case?
