What should I do before operating this steam iron?

Before operating this product, please read the instructions carefully, and save this manual for future use.

Always read and obey all safety messages provided in the manual and on your appliance.

What general safety precautions should be followed when using the iron?

When using your iron, basic safety precautions should always be followed. Read all instructions before using the iron.

To avoid any circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit.

If an extension AC cord is absolutely necessary, use an AC cord rated a minimum of 10 amperes. An AC cord rated for less amperage may overheat and should not be used. Care should be taken to arrange the AC cord so that it cannot be accidentally pulled or tripped over.

Use the iron only for its intended purpose, for ironing fabrics. To protect against burns or injury to persons, do not iron or steam fabrics while being worn on the body.

To protect against any risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron or AC cord in water or other liquids.

Unplug the Power plug to disconnect from outlet by grasping the plug; do not pull the AC cord or touch it with wet hands.

Always unplug the appliance during filling, emptying, cleaning and when not in use.

Do not leave the iron unattended while it is connected to the mains. Keep it away from children.

Do not allow the AC cord to touch hot surfaces of the iron.

If the AC cord or Plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or their authorised service agent to avoid a hazard. Do not apply the AC cord to other electrical appliances.

During operating, you should prevent hot surfaces such as the Soleplate or Fabric protective cover etc., from contacting body, metallic objects and thermo-labile objects so as not to scald or damage objects.

If you notice any smoke or fire coming out from the product, stop using it immediately and unplug the unit from the mains to avoid fire or electric shock. Contact your dealer or service agent to seek further assistance.

The iron should not be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking. Do not repair by yourself; it should be repaired by the designated service center.

The Iron head must be firmly rested on the Iron holder, and the Power base must be placed on a flat and stable floor. Otherwise, the Soleplate may be scratched, or even injuries or scalds may be caused if the Iron head falls over.

The Hanger hook of the Telescopic pole cannot hold other heavy things or the Iron head. Otherwise, the product may fall over, resulting in product damages or personal injuries.

Be sure to wear the Insulated glove before you attempt to install or remove the Fabric protective cover during ironing. Otherwise, scalds may be caused.

Do not use the appliance with the Corded hose entangled. It may cause the Corded hose damage, electric shock and fire.

Do not move the Power base by pulling the Corded hose. It may cause the Corded hose damage, electric shock and fire.

Beware that hot condensed water may be produced on the Fabric protective cover due to steaming.

Do not change the installation location of the Iron holder.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

What cautions should be observed to reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to belongings?

Don’t touch the hot surface (such as Soleplate, Fabric protective cover, Iron holder and the hot surface around it). This may cause scalds.

Do not touch the steam during use. This may cause scalds.

Do not place the Power base sidelong. This may cause water leakage, and then damage floors and carpets.

Do not place the Iron head directly on the Power base. This may damage the product, floors and carpets.

Do not turn upside-down; put the Iron head back correctly as instructed. This may cause the product to fall, injury or burns.

Prohibit contact with hot surfaces or steam.

Prevent accidents such as the iron falling.

Operate the unit as illustrated, for example, by keeping the power base upright.

Do not add perfume, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids or other chemicals, they can stain fabrics; instead, use room temperature tap water for it.

Be careful to use the Water tank to avoid falling; it may cause water leak to the floor and cause slipping or other variety of injuries.

Do not set the Steam selector to the steam position until the Thermostat indicator light goes off after pressing the Power button “ON/OFF” down; hot water will come out from the soleplate and cause injury.

Do not move the Power base until it has fully cooled down; it may cause scald.

Do not put the Soleplate too close to you or others since steam may unexpectedly erupt from it; otherwise it may cause scald.

Care should be taken when using the appliance due to the emission of steam.
