  • Charge the batteries provided with or identified for use with this product only, in accordance with the instructions and limitations specified in this manual.
  • Only use a compatible base unit (or charger) to charge the batteries. Do not tamper with the base unit (or charger).

Where is the best location for the base unit?

For maximum coverage and noise-free communications, place your base unit:
  • At a convenient, high, and central location with no obstructions between the handset and base unit in an indoor environment.
  • Away from electronic appliances such as TVs, radios, personal computers, wireless devices, or other phones.
  • Facing away from radio frequency transmitters, such as external antennas of mobile phone cell stations. (Avoid putting the base unit on a bay window or near a window.)

  • If the reception for a base unit location is not satisfactory, move the base unit to another location for better reception.

What environmental factors should be considered for the phone?

  • Keep the product away from electrical noise generating devices, such as fluorescent lamps and motors.
  • The product should be kept free from excessive smoke, dust, high temperature, and vibration.
  • The product should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
  • Do not place heavy objects on top of the product.
  • It should not be placed in rooms where the temperature is less than 0 °C or greater than 40 °C. Damp basements should also be avoided.
  • Operating the product near electrical appliances may cause interference. Move away from the electrical appliances.
  • The maximum calling distance may be shortened when the product is used in the following places: Near obstacles such as hills, tunnels, underground, near metal objects such as wire fences, etc.

What should I do with old equipment and batteries?

Disposal of Old Equipment and Batteries (Only for European Union and countries with recycling systems):
The symbols (Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment Bin, Battery Bin) on the products, packaging, and/or accompanying documents mean that used electrical and electronic products and batteries must not be mixed with general household waste. For proper treatment, recovery and recycling of old products and used batteries, please take them to applicable collection points in accordance with your national legislation. By disposing of them correctly, you will help to save valuable resources and prevent any potential negative effects on human health and the environment. For more information about collection and recycling, please contact your local authority. Penalties may be applicable for incorrect disposal of this waste, in accordance with national legislation.

What is Automated Call Block and how does it work?

Automated Call Block screens incoming calls before ringing. If identified as automated/telemarketing, the unit plays a greeting and prompts the caller for an access code. If the call is allowed (e.g., number in phonebook, Fav Call key, allow name list, allowed number database, or correct access code entered), the unit rings. If blocked (e.g., number in call block list), the unit disconnects without playing the greeting. Default mode is “Unblock”.
Allowed Number Database: When a caller enters the correct access code, their number is temporarily stored (up to 100 entries, 22 digits max). Future calls from these numbers connect without needing the code. This database is cleared when the access code is changed. Numbers are not displayable.
Note:
  • Calls connect without needing an access code if the number matches Phonebook, Fav Call key, Allow Name list, or Allowed Number Database entries.
  • If a number is in the Call Block List, it’s disconnected immediately.
  • When the answering system handles a call from an unregistered number, answering/remote operations are delayed until screening is complete.
  • When the unit receives a call from an unregistered number while you are searching lists, programming, using the answering system, or paging, it shifts to standby mode for screening.
  • Blocked calls are logged in the caller list. Check periodically and register legitimate callers to avoid future screening.
  • If the allowed number database is full, the newest allowed caller replaces the oldest entry.
