The following items are included with your PANASONIC KX-TGF575:

To connect the base unit of your PANASONIC KX-TGF575, follow these steps:

1. Connect the AC adaptor plug to the base unit by pressing it firmly.

2. Fasten the AC adaptor cord by hooking it.

3. Connect the telephone line cord to the base unit until it clicks into place.

4. Fasten the telephone line cord by hooking it.

5. Connect the AC adaptor to a power outlet.

6. Connect the telephone line cord to the telephone line jack until it clicks. If you have a DSL/ADSL service, a DSL/ADSL filter (not included) is required between the base unit and the telephone line jack.

Follow these steps for battery installation and charging:

1. Insert the batteries negative (-) end first, ensuring the poles (+, -) are aligned correctly.

2. Slide the handset cover on until it clicks into place.

3. Place the handset on the base unit or charger to begin charging. The charge indicator will be lit.

4. Charge the batteries for approximately 7 hours. When the batteries are fully charged, “Fully charged” will appear on the handset display.

It is important to use only the supplied rechargeable Ni-MH batteries (Model HHR-4DPA).

1. Press the MENU soft key.

2. Enter the code #110.

3. Use the ▲ or ▼ keys to select “English”.

4. Press the SAVE soft key.

5. Press the OFF button to exit.

1. Press the MENU soft key.

2. Enter the code #101.

3. Enter the current month, date, and year using two digits for each (e.g., 07 for July, 15 for the 15th, and 23 for 2023).

4. Enter the current hour and minute in 12-hour format using two digits for each (e.g., 09:30).

5. Press the * key to select “AM” or “PM”.

6. Press the SAVE soft key.

7. Press the OFF button to exit.

Note: The date and time may be automatically set when caller information is received.

1. Dial the telephone number.

2. Press the TALK button or the SPEAKERPHONE button to place the call.

3. When you are finished with the call, press the OFF button or place the handset back on the base unit or charger.

When a call comes in, press the TALK button or the SPEAKERPHONE button.

Alternatively, if the “Any key answer” feature is enabled, you can press any dial key (0-9, *, or #) to answer the call.

While on a call, repeatedly press the ▲ or ▼ arrow keys on the handset to adjust the volume to your desired level.

During a power failure, the PANASONIC KX-TGF575 base unit can be temporarily powered by a charged handset. To use this feature:

1. Place a charged handset on the base unit. The base unit will draw power from this handset only.

2. You can then make and answer calls using other registered handsets.

Important limitations during power backup:

• The operating time is limited by the battery power of the handset supplying power to the base.

• The answering system, Caller ID, call block, and other features requiring power will not function.

• You cannot charge a handset by placing it on the charger.

• The base unit speakerphone cannot be used.

1. On the handset, press the right soft key (Add).

2. The screen will prompt “Name:”. Enter the person’s name (up to 16 characters).

3. Press OK.

4. The screen will prompt “Number:”. Enter the person’s phone number (up to 24 digits).

5. Press OK.

6. Use the arrow keys to select the group you want to assign the entry to.

7. Press SELECT twice to save.

8. Press OFF to exit.

Your PANASONIC KX-TGF575 allows you to block calls from specific numbers, ranges of numbers, and calls with no caller ID. You must subscribe to a Caller ID service to use this feature.

To block a single number from the caller list:

1. Press the CID button to view the caller list.

2. Use the arrow keys to select the entry you wish to block.

3. Press the BLOCK soft key.

4. Press the YES soft key to confirm.

5. Press OK, then press OFF.

To block a number manually:

1. Press the CALL BLOCK button.

2. Press the MENU soft key.

3. Select “Add” and press the SELECT soft key.

4. Enter the phone number you wish to block (up to 24 digits).

5. Press the SAVE soft key, then press OFF.

You can turn the answering system on or off by pressing the ANSWER ON/OFF button on the base unit. When the system is turned on, the ANSWER ON/OFF indicator will light up.

From the base unit:

Press the ► (PLAY/STOP) button. The unit will announce the number of new messages and begin playback. If there are no new messages, it will play back all saved messages.

From the handset:

Press the PLAY soft key. If there are new messages, they will be played. If not, the handset will ask if you want to play all messages.

To erase all messages at once, press and hold the ERASE button on the base unit for 2 seconds while the phone is not in use. Then, press the ERASE button again to confirm.

The intercom feature allows you to make calls between handsets or between a handset and the base unit.

To page all handsets from the base unit:

Press the INT/LOCATOR button on the base unit.

To page a specific handset from another handset:

1. Press the INT button on your handset.

2. Use the arrow keys to select the desired handset number.

3. Press the SELECT soft key.

To answer an intercom call, press the TALK button on the receiving handset. To end the call, press the OFF button.

This feature allows one handset to monitor a room, which will automatically call a designated monitoring unit (another handset, the base unit, or an external phone number) when it detects sound. You must have at least two handsets to use this feature internally.

To turn on the baby monitor:

1. On the monitoring handset, press MENU #268.

2. Select the handset number to be used in the baby’s room and press SELECT.

3. A confirmation message is displayed. Press YES. The monitoring begins.

When the monitored handset detects sound, it calls the monitoring unit. You will be able to hear the sound from the baby’s room. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the monitored handset.

1. On the base unit: Press and hold the INT/LOCATOR button for about 5 seconds until the registration tone sounds.

2. On the handset: Press the OK soft key. The handset will begin searching for the base unit.

3. Wait until a long beep sounds and the Y icon appears on the handset display. The handset is now registered.

There are several possible reasons for Caller ID information not being displayed:

• You must first subscribe to a Caller ID service with your telephone service provider.

• If the caller has dialed from an area that does not provide Caller ID service, their information will not be displayed.

• The information may not be displayed for calls made through certain private branch exchange (PBX) systems.

• If the call is a long-distance call, the information may not be available.

• Other telephone equipment connected to the same line may be interfering. Disconnect other equipment and try again.

Note: Actual battery performance can be affected by usage patterns and the ambient temperature. Even when the handset is not in use, it consumes battery power. It is recommended to leave the handset on the base unit or charger when not in use.

If liquid or any foreign substance enters the product, follow these steps immediately:

1. Unplug the AC adaptor from the power outlet.

2. Disconnect the telephone line cord from the PANASONIC KX-TGF575.

3. Remove the batteries from the handset.

4. Allow the unit to dry for several days. Do not use a microwave oven to speed up the drying process.

After the unit is completely dry, re-insert the batteries and reconnect the AC adaptor and telephone line cord. If the unit does not work correctly, you may need to seek service.
