How does the mailbox feature work?

How do I adjust the time and day?
- Press the TIME button.
- Enter the current time (hour and minute) using a 4-digit number. For example, to set “6:30”, enter “0630”.
- Press “*” to select “AM” or “PM”. Press “#” repeatedly to adjust the day. The unit announces the day.
- Press the TIME button to end adjusting. The unit announces the programmed time and day.
How long is the time and day retained during a power failure with new batteries?
The programmed time and day retention time is approximately 3 days with new batteries.
What is the accuracy of the clock?
The accuracy of the clock will be approximately ±45 seconds a month at room temperature.

Does the toll saver work for mailboxes?
Toll saver works only for messages recorded in the common memory (not for those recorded in the mailboxes).

If your unit is connected to a PBX, you need to dial an access number to get an outside line. In this case, inserting a pause between the access number and the phone number is necessary, especially when redialing or storing the number into memory. Pressing the PAUSE button makes a dialing delay.

If your line has rotary service, pressing the TONE (*) button allows you to change the dialing mode temporarily into tone. If two or more persons use this unit in common, it is recommended to listen to all messages even if you want to play back only newly recorded messages in the common memory. In case of listening to new messages only, you may miss some messages which have been already listened to by other persons.
Note: Do not press “#” button for a long time. Some long distance services use “#” for other purposes. These telephone services will take priority over the remote operation.
How much can the unit record?
The unit can save about 20 minutes of incoming messages, memo messages, 2-way conversations, and greeting messages. Message remaining time can be confirmed by pressing the REMAIN TIME button. If the memory is full, the display shows “FULL” and the unit does not record the messages any more. You must erase some or all messages. If the messages are recorded in noisy rooms, the recording time might be shortened 1 to 4 minutes.
How do you control the answering system?
The answering system works when the ANSWER ON indicator light is on. If you do not want the unit to answer the call, press the ANSWER ON button to turn off. The ANSWER ON indicator light goes out.

Press the NEW MESSAGE or ALL button, then lift the handset. You can listen to the recorded messages through the handset. When finished, hang up the handset.
