What important safety precautions should I follow when using the shaver?

Please observe the following safety precautions:

• The outer foil is very thin and can be damaged if not used correctly. Always check that the foil is not damaged before use. Do not use the shaver if the foil or blades are damaged, as you could cut your skin.

• Stop using the shaver immediately if you notice any abnormality or failure.

• Do not shave with soap or clean the shaver with water when the adaptor is connected and operating.

• Do not share the shaver with family or others.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

• This shaver has a built-in rechargeable battery. Do not throw it into fire, apply heat, or charge, use, or leave it in a high-temperature environment.

What precautions should I take when charging the shaver?

• Never use the adaptor in the bathroom or shower room.

• Only use the power cord and adaptor provided (RE7-51).

• Plug the adaptor into a household outlet where there is no moisture and handle it with dry hands.

• When disconnecting the adaptor from the outlet, always hold the adaptor itself. Tugging on the power cord may damage it.

• The power cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the entire adaptor must be scrapped.

• Charge the shaver in an ambient temperature between 15-35 °C.

How should I clean the shaver safely?

• **Warning:** Always disconnect the power cord from the shaver before cleaning it in water to prevent electric shock.

• Ensure both inner blades are inserted during cleaning. Cleaning with only one blade inserted may damage the shaver.

• If cleaning with water, use tap water or soapy tap water. Do not use salt water or hot water.

• Do not soak the shaver in water for a long period.

• Clean the shaver housing (main body) using only a soft cloth slightly dampened with tap water or soapy tap water. Do not use thinner, benzine, alcohol, or other chemicals.

• For model ES-LT50, do not wash the charging stand with water.

How should I store the shaver?

• After use, store the shaver in a place with low humidity.

• Avoid storing the shaver where it will be exposed to direct sunlight or other heat sources.

• Disconnect the power cord when storing. Do not bend the power cord or wrap it around the shaver.

• Store or dispose of the plastic travel pouch properly to prevent accidents like infant suffocation. Keep the plastic bag away from infants.

• Keep the provided oil away from children.

How do I use the lock ring?

• **ES-LT20:** The charge status lamp (plug symbol) glows.

After charging is completed:

• **ES-LT50:** All the battery capacity lamps (20-100) will light up and then turn off after 5 seconds.

• **ES-LT20:** The charge status lamp (plug symbol) turns off.

Note:**

• When charging for the first time, or if the shaver hasn’t been used for over 6 months, the charge status lamp may not glow immediately but will eventually glow if kept connected.

• If there is a problem with charging, the charge status lamp (plug symbol) will blink.

Can I shave using the power cord if the battery is low?

Yes. If the battery capacity is low, you can insert the appliance plug into the shaver and plug the adaptor into a household outlet to use the shaver corded. If the shaver does not work immediately, continue charging it for approximately 1 minute before trying again.

How do I use the shaver for shaving?

1. Rotate the lock ring to the unlock position.

2. Press the power switch [0/1] to turn the shaver on.

3. Hold the shaver as illustrated (fingers on the finger rest, not covering the power switch) and shave.

• Start by applying gentle pressure to your face.

• Stretch your skin with your free hand.

• Move the shaver back and forth in the direction of your beard growth.

• You can gently increase pressure as your skin gets used to the shaver, but excessive pressure won’t provide a closer shave.

• Avoid placing fingers on the power switch while shaving, as this might turn the shaver off or activate the sonic vibration cleaning mode.

What is the sonic vibration cleaning mode and how is it activated?

The sonic vibration cleaning mode is used for cleaning the shaver head with water. It is activated by pressing and holding the power switch for more than 2 seconds. You cannot shave in this mode. See the cleaning instructions for its use.

How do I use the pivot action selector?

Use the pivot action selector switch on the back of the shaver head to choose between “SOFT” (allows the head to pivot) or “LOCK” (fixes the head in position). You can change this setting whether the shaver is turned on or off.

1. Slide the trimmer handle up to pop up the trimmer.

2. Hold the shaver so the trimmer blade is at a right angle to your skin.

3. Move the shaver downwards to trim sideburns or shape facial hair.

How do the indicator lamps behave during use?

While using (battery):

• **ES-LT50:** Shows the approximate remaining battery charge as 20-100 (%). The corresponding lamp segment will light up (e.g., 60 lights up for 60-79% charge).

• **ES-LT20:** The battery capacity lamp (battery symbol) glows.

• The lamps turn off approximately 5 seconds after operating the switch.

While using (corded):

• The charge status lamp (plug symbol) glows.

What happens when the battery capacity is low?

• **ES-LT50:** The “20%” battery capacity lamp blinks when operating the shaver.

• **ES-LT20:** The battery capacity lamp (battery symbol) blinks when operating the shaver.

• When the low battery indicator starts blinking, you can typically shave 2 to 3 more times (depending on usage).

• A full charge provides enough power for approximately 14 shaves of 3 minutes each.
