NOTE THAT PARTS LIST REFERENCES BOTH SINGLE AND DOUBLE SWAGS. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ARE REFERENCING THE CORRECT PACKAGE CONTENTS FOR YOUR MODEL.

We recommend that you familiarise yourself with this product before you leave for your trip. Check that all parts are present and that you familiarise yourself with the setup and pack down of the product.

After unpacking your new Oztent product, please check that it is not damaged and that all parts have been supplied. If in doubt, contact your local Oztent Customer Care Centre or dealer.

Never use any fuel-burning products (stoves, lanterns, heaters, etc.) inside or within proximity of this product. Use of fuel-burning inside or within proximity of this product can result in the accumulation of dangerous concentrations of carbon monoxide – a colourless, odourless gas. Breathing carbon monoxide will cause serious injury or death. Avoid spraying this product with deodorant or other aerosols as it may destroy the waterproofing.

Keep all flame and heat sources away from this product. This product is made with flame resistant fabric, but it is not fireproof. The product fabric will burn if left in continuous contact with an open flame or other heat source. Failure to keep all flame and heat sources away from this product can result in a fire that can burn.

Packaging disposal

• Most of the packaging materials are recyclable. Please dispose of packaging materials through your local recycling depot or by placing them in the appropriate recycling bins.

• If you wish to discard this product, please contact your local authorities and ask them for the correct method of disposal.

• This product is not intended for use by young children or infirmed persons without supervision.

• Young children should be supervised so that they do not play with the product.

• Contact an authorised service technician for repair.

It is important that you set up your swag when it’s new and after long periods of storage. This ensures that you are familiar with the set-up process and ensures that all frames, poles and pegs are present and still working correctly.

Always maintain adequate ventilation inside the Swag.

When choosing a campsite, carefully consider the possibility of falling rocks or tree limbs, lightning, flash floods, avalanches, strong winds, and other potential hazards to reduce the risk of loss or injury.

Select a site that’s level, well drained, and is protected from the wind and other elements. Clear the campsite of sharp stones, sticks, and other debris, both for comfort and to protect the floor of the Swag. Where possible, avoid setting the Swag on ground that is already wet. If this is not possible keep the Swag well-ventilated to minimise humidity and condensation within the Swag.

Always peg down the Swag properly to reduce the risk of item loss or injury to Swag users.

All Swags require pegging to prevent them from being blown away in strong winds. Always anchor the Swag. Tent pegs and ropes are supplied to safely setup the Swag in most situations. It may be necessary to purchase additional and/or specialised pegs and ropes for use in extreme or varied soil conditions.

Tightly tensioning the Swag with attached ropes greatly increases the Swag’s strength and stability. This will also reduce fabric sagging and wrinkles and prevent rainwater from pooling.

When warm, moist air meets the cool Swag fabric condensation can form. In most situations condensation can be controlled by allowing air inside the Swag to vent outside. During periods of high humidity, such as during rainstorms, it may be difficult to prevent or reduce condensation. In these situations, ventilation could increase the condensation by drawing in more humid air.

Condensation can also collect on parts of the floor inside the Swag. This is also normal and does not indicate leaking fabric.

Be careful when using Swag zippers. Go slow when zipping.

Make sure to align the zipper tracks before sliding the zipper and don’t exert excessive force on the zipper. If the fabric gets caught in the zipper, stop and slowly reverse the zipper to remove. A silicone-based lubricant may be used to improve zipping.

When dirt gets in the zipper teeth, it can cause abrasion and damage to the zipper sliders. You can clean the zipper teeth by rinsing them with water. The pressure from a regular garden hose will push out small sand particles.

If the Swag should require cleaning, set it up and use a sponge with warm water to clean. If further cleaning is required, a garden hose can be used to wash off any remaining dirt. Do not use detergent, soap, bleach, or have the Swag dry cleaned, as this may remove the waterproofing and/or damage the fabric. Allow the Swag to air-dry completely before packing or storing.

Packing and storing the Swag while it’s wet or damp leads to premature breakdown of the Swag fabrics and coatings.

Prolonged exposure to moisture causes the waterproof layer to break down, becoming soft, sticky and no longer waterproof.

Storing a wet Swag can cause mildew to form on the fabric.

Mildew will cause the Swag to stain, smell, and may lead to the premature breakdown of the waterproof coating. Dry the swag thoroughly after each use.

For your convenience this swag comes with the inner tent pre-installed, however if you wish to remove and/or re-install we have made the process simple – the inner tent is connected via colour coded-toggles.

If the clips slip out during the packing or unpacking process simply connect with red toggles at the front of the swag, yellow toggles at the rear and orange toggles in the centre which includes the attached floor. If you want to completely remove the inner tent, simply unclip the toggles and store in a dry place.

To prevent damage from animals chewing holes in the Swag fabric, never store food or cooking equipment in the Swag.

When packing away ensure that there are no insects inside the Swag as they may try to eat their way out causing holes in the material.

Step 1: Unfold the swag, laying it flat on the ground with the outer black floor on the ground.

Step 2: Feed the centre pole through the black pole sleeve that runs across the middle of the swag.

Step 3: Insert the end of the pole into the opening on the base strap, then go to the other side of the swag and do the same.

Step 4: At the front of the swag place the upright support poles into the eyelets at the top and bottom of the support straps.

Step 5: Pull the support straps on each side until the material is taut and peg them out.

Step 6: Pull the centre support pole away from the pegged-out front corners until the material is taut then peg the centre points.

Step 7: Pull the rear of the swag backward until the centre and front support poles are upright.

Step 8: Place the upright support poles into the eyelets in the top and bottom of the support straps.

Step 9: Pull the support straps on each side until the material is taut and peg them out.

Step 10: Place the mattress inside the inner tent.

Step 11: Peg out the attached centre guy ropes and ensure the material of the outer tent is pulled taut. Then kick back, relax, and enjoy!
