To connect your DTD for use with the NEXO DORY software, follow these steps:
1. Install NEXO Dory.
2. Simply plug a USB cable between your DTD and your computer or mobile terminal. A USB OTG adapter is needed to connect to an Android device, which should support OTG.
3. Launch NEXO Dory.
How do I choose and edit presets on the NEXO DORY?
To choose and edit presets using the NEXO DORY software:
1. Press the cabinet icon of a main cabinet to edit the main preset.
2. Select a family, and scroll to choose a cabinet.
3. Choose the cross-over mode.
4. Press the sub icon to edit the sub preset.
5. Choose a cabinet and the cross-over mode.
After selection, wait for the preset to be uploaded.
How do I patch inputs and use the pre-processing EQ with the NEXO DORY?
To patch inputs and use the EQ on your NEXO DORY, follow these instructions:
1. Go to the Inpatch view.
2. Press to patch inputs to the pre-processing channels. These channels will later be patched to the output channels.
3. You can add and edit up to 8 EQ bands per pre-processing channel.
To edit the EQ:
1. Double tap to add a band.
2. You can edit the type, copy/paste, or delete a band.
3. You can set the individual band ON or OFF.
4. You can set the entire EQ for the pre-processing channel ON or OFF.
How do I prepare the DTD’s settings and compression using the NEXO DORY software?
To prepare your DTD’s settings and compression with the NEXO DORY:
1. Go to the Output view.
2. Choose the pre-processing patch for the output channels.
3. Edit the gains and delays. You can slide or type to edit the delay value. The user gain is combined with the front-panel gain (for DTD-T only).
4. Edit the compressor. You can edit the threshold and the compression ratio.
5. Set the compressor of the output channel ON or OFF.
You can also edit several channels at once, in either absolute or relative mode.
How do I start playing music and monitor levels with the NEXO DORY?
To begin using your NEXO DORY for a show:
1. Input music through one of the possible inputs: analog, AES/EBU, Dante or audio over USB.
2. Monitor the output levels and the user compression level on the main screen.
What do the different indicators on the output level meter mean in the NEXO DORY software?
The output level meter in the NEXO DORY software displays the following values:
• Maximum hold
• Short-term hold
• Current value
• Minimum hold
How can I access the Settings view and set a password on the NEXO DORY?
As an optional step, you can go to the Settings view within the NEXO DORY software and choose a password for your device.
