How do I install the CPU and heatsink?
Please follow these steps for CPU and heatsink installation:
1. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws on the CPU socket retention plate.
2. Open the latch on the carrier frame.
3. Lift the carrier frame open.
4. Align and place the CPU into the carrier.
5. Lower the carrier frame over the CPU.
6. Close the latch to secure the frame.
7. Tighten the screws on the CPU socket retention plate.
8. & 9. Place the appropriate heatsink (1U or 2U EVAC) onto the CPU. Tighten the heatsink screws in the specified order (#1 through #8).
10. Use a screwdriver to ensure all heatsink screws are securely tightened.
How do I install a memory DIMM?
1. Open the side clips to unlock the DIMM slot.
2. Insert the DIMM vertically into the slot, ensuring that the off-center notch at the bottom aligns with the slot.
3. Push the DIMM firmly into the slot until it clicks and the side clips automatically close.
4. Verify that the side clips have securely locked the DIMM in place.
What are the requirements for DDR5 memory configuration?
The server board supports DDR5 RDIMMs and 3DS RDIMMs with memory speeds up to 6400 MT/s (1DPC).
Important points for configuration:
∙ There should be at least one DDR5 DIMM populated.
∙ Only support RDIMM, 3DSRDIMM.
∙ DDR5 memory configurations requires same DIMM types, ranks, speeds, and densities.
How should I populate the DDR5 DIMM slots for a single CPU configuration?
For a single CPU setup, populate the DDR5 DIMM slots according to the quantity of modules as shown in the table below. The slots are labeled A-L.
| Qty. of DDR5 | Channel | CPU | Channel | ||||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| F | E | D | C | B | A | G | H | I | J | K | L | ||
