What is the process of juice production with the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer?

The process of juice production with the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer takes place through a two-stage extraction:

crushing

extrusion

How does the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer work during operation?

The MPM MSO-16 slow juicer works slowly at low speed, but precisely. It precisely crushes fruit and vegetable pulp, without generating excessive heat with minimum exposure to oxygen. This does not destroy nutrients and vitamins contained in fruits and vegetables, does not heat or oxidise the juice.

How long can juice made with the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer be stored?

The juice made with the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer is very tasty, milky and unfoamed. It can be stored in a closed container in a refrigerator up to 72 hours without loss of nutritional value and homogeneous consistency.

What are the safety instructions for using the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer before assembly or disassembly?

Before assembly or disassembly of the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer, unplug it from the power outlet.

What should be done before the first use of the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer?

Before the first use of the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer:

Remove the appliance from the box. Remove all packaging cardboard and film pieces from the appliance parts.

Thoroughly clean and dry the appliance, especially all appliance parts with direct contact with food products.

The MPM MSO-16 Slow Juicer has a safety lock: the appliance will only turn on if the feeder chamber (6) is properly assembled.

What is the assembly procedure for the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer?

The assembly procedure for the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer involves the following steps:

Place the rubber stopper (14) in the hole under the filter bowl (5). Place the sealing sleeve (11) in the filter bowl (5), if not assembled already.

Place the appliance on a smooth, stable and level surface. Install the filter bowl (5) on the motor unit (1) by locating the 3 bosses (B) on the housing top in the 3 grooves (A) on the filter bowl bottom (5). The grooves (A) will match the bosses (B) in a single specific alignment of the two parts. Next, place the plug onto the juice spout opening.

Install the the automatic cleaning module (10) onto the mesh filter basket (9). Use a small mesh filter basket (9a) or a large mesh filter basket (9b), depending on how thick you want your juice.

Insert and adjust the stainless steel mesh filter basket (9) with the automatic cleaning module (10) in the filter bowl (5) so that the tab on the filter basket engages the filter bowl groove (5) and the white marks on the filter basket (9) and filter bowl (5) are aligned.

Place the extraction screw (8) in the filter basket (9).

Place the feeder chamber (6) on the filter bowl (5) by aligning the bosses with the grooves in the bowl. Turn the feeder chamber (6) clockwise home so that the safety lock tab in the feeder chamber (6) snaps into the recess in the motor unit (1). Note the marks on the appliance. Proper engagement disables the safety lock which prevents using the appliance when improperly assembled.

Place the pusher (7) in the feeder tube mouth (17). Place the juice pitcher and the pulp container (4) under the juice spout (12) and the pulp discharge chute (13), respectively.

What are the recommendations for preparing hard root vegetables for the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer?

For hard root vegetables with the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer:

  • Wash all products. Slice the carrots into long, sleek strips to feed them easily through the feeder tube.
  • If the carrots are large, slice them along into four quarters.
  • Cut off approximately 1 cm of the greenish end. Use the pusher to feed in the chunks remaining in the feeder tube.
  • Cut large beetroots and celery into smaller pieces.

NOTE: Firmly push down hard vegetable and fruit chunks into the juicer, because it runs at a slow speed. Juice extraction will be easier if you slice large carrots into two or more long pieces. Use the pusher to feed in the chunks remaining in the feeder tube.

What are the recommendations for preparing cereal grass with the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer?

For cereal grass with the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer:

  • Cut the grass to length and rinse it with water.
  • Place small portions of the grass in the feeder tube mouth at a time for better extraction performance. Use the pusher if needed.
  • Greens: do not feed too much at a time, or it will be much more difficult to process.

NOTE: Cereal grass may foam during extraction. Have the grass as fresh as possible to reduce foaming. You can also achieve this by cooling the cereal grass and the extraction screw overnight in a refrigerator (or at least for 2 hours) or rinsing them with cold water directly before juice extraction. If you do not mind mixing cereal grass juice with carrot juice, you can increase the cereal grass yield by extracting juice with a little of carrot. The carrot will help clean the filter basket during processing.

What are the recommendations for preparing hard fruits, soft fruits/vegetables, and citrus fruits for the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer?

For hard fruits, soft fruits/vegetables, and citrus fruits with the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer:

  • Hard Fruits (Apples): Hard and juicy varieties are preferable. You can juice the fruits whole, if they fit in the feeder tube. Otherwise cut the fruits into smaller pieces.
  • Soft Fruits/Vegetables (Tomatoes, Grapes): Wash the products and cut them into smaller pieces (if necessary) for easier feeding into the appliance. Peel off the skin if necessary. Do not overfill the feeder tube mouth with too many chunks. Push down the products with the pusher or the flap.
  • Citrus Fruit (Oranges, Grapefruits, Lemons): Peel off the skin and remove excess white fibres. Cut into smaller pieces if necessary.

What are the steps for operating the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer for juice extraction?

The steps for operating the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer for juice extraction are as follows:

Ensure the appliance is on a smooth, stable and flat surface. Before plugging in the power cord, make sure that the appliance is off (OFF).

Thoroughly wash the vegetables and fruits to be juiced. Cut them into smaller pieces if necessary (do not slice thin or dice into small pieces) so that they easily fit in the feeder tube mouth (16).

Place the juice pitcher and the pulp container (4) under the juice spout and pulp discharge chute of the filter bowl (5). Remove the plug from the juice spout (12). Release the 80 mm feeder tube mouth lock (15) so that the flap is lifted and allow feeding the vegetables/fruits.

Turn on the Slow Juicer with the switch (2).

Depending on their shape and size, feed the vegetables/fruits piece by piece into the mouth (16) and push them down with the flap. If the pieces are small, use the feeder tube mouth (17) and the pusher (7).

Monitor the pulp and juice levels (4). If you need to empty the juice pitcher and/or the pulp container, turn off the appliance with the switch (2) and plug the juice spout (12).

If the products are too hard to process, the appliance may stall and stop. Stalling may be caused by too large vegetable/fruit chunks. This happens most often with hard vegetables/fruits. Resolve the problem by operating the Reverse switch position (2). The Slow Juicer will start turning in reverse to release the motor. If stalling persists, disassemble the appliance, clean it, and reassemble (see Section “Assembling the juicer”).

How do I flush the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer to make a different juice without interrupting operation?

To flush the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer without disassembling it, follow these steps:

Plug the juice spout (12).

Place the juice pitcher and the pulp container under the respective spout (12) and chute (13).

Pour approximately 200 ml of clean cold water into the feeder tube mouth (17). DO NOT spill the water on the appliance housing (if this happens, thoroughly dry the appliance).

Plug in and turn on the appliance for approximately 30 seconds.

Unplug the juice spout (12) and wait for all water to come out with the pulp and juice residues.

Repeat flushing until clean.

What are the mesh filter basket recommendations for the MPM MSO-16 slow juicer?
