Please follow these safety instructions and warnings when using your MOTOMASTER 011-2065-8:

• The booster pack generates a high current of up to 900 peak Amps. Read and understand all safety information before using this product. Failure to follow these safety instructions may cause ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION, or FIRE, which may result in SERIOUS INJURY, DEATH or PROPERTY DAMAGE.

• This product is only compatible with 12 V lead-acid batteries. DO NOT attempt to use this product with any other type of battery.

• This unit is not intended to be used as a replacement vehicle battery. DO NOT attempt to operate a vehicle that does not have a battery installed.

• The order of connections is important. The polarity of the vehicle’s battery terminals must be positive to positive (red clamp to battery “+”) and negative to negative (black clamp to battery “-”). A reverse polarity connection (positive to negative) may cause damage to the unit and/or create a sparking hazard.

• Do not crank the engine for more than 5 seconds at a time. The jump start feature is designed for short term operation only. Operating the jump start feature for more than 5 seconds may cause damage to both the unit and engine. Allow the battery booster pack to cool down for at least 3 minutes after each boost.

• Always turn the jump start system off when not in use.

• Do not charge the unit through the 12 V DC charging port if your vehicle’s electrical system operates above 15 V. This may lead to accumulation of hydrogen, causing exposure to fire and explosion hazards.

• Ensure that there are no 12 V DC appliances connected to the battery booster pack while the unit is being recharged.

• DO NOT use this unit to power appliances that need more than 12 A to operate from the 12 V DC power port.

• DO NOT insert foreign objects into either the USB port or 12 V DC power port.

• This unit is not a toy. Keep away from children and should only be operated by adults.

• Store in a cool, dry place.

Press and hold the Battery Status Button. The Battery Level Indicator LEDs will illuminate to indicate the battery capacity level:

• Green solid: Fully charged battery

• Yellow solid: 75% charged battery

• Red solid: 50% charged battery

• Red flashing: 25% charged battery

Important Information on Battery Health:

• This unit contains a maintenance-free, sealed lead-acid battery. Although the unit arrives partially charged from the factory, it MUST BE FULLY CHARGED FOR 24 HOURS BEFORE FIRST USE, regardless of the battery status out of the box. Failure to follow this procedure may permanently damage the battery.

• Recharge battery as soon as possible after each use or every two months when in storage to prolong battery life and keep the unit ready for use.

• Discharging the battery to a very low level and storing in this state for an extended period of time can cause battery failure and reduce battery life.

• It is recommended to recharge the unit every two months when not in use and more frequently in warmer or colder storage conditions to keep battery at peak operating efficiency.

• Store in a cool dry place.

To recharge the MOTOMASTER 011-2065-8 with a standard household extension cord (included):

1. Turn BOOSTING switch to the “OFF” position.

2. Pull open the AC adaptor cover on the side of the unit.

3. Connect the female end of the extension cord (included) to the AC plug.

4. Connect the male end of the extension cord to a grounded 120 V AC outlet.

Note: The RED CHARGING STATUS LED light will illuminate to indicate the unit is charging. The battery status indicator will illuminate green when the unit is fully charged. Charging current will automatically go to floating charge.

Due to safety circuit built into the input charging port, DC charging through this location will not fully charge the battery. To charge with the 12V DC Charging Adaptor:

1. Turn BOOSTING switch to “OFF” position.

2. Plug 12V DC Charging adaptor pin into the DC charging port.

3. Plug the 12V DC Charging plug into the vehicle’s 12V DC accessory outlet.

Note: Red light on DC adaptor outlet will illuminate to confirm good connection. Vehicle should be running for full charging to take place. DC charging will not work if engine is off.

WARNING! EQUIPMENT DAMAGE

• Do not crank the engine for more than 5 seconds at a time. The jump start feature is designed for short term operation only. Operating the jump start feature for more than 5 seconds may cause damage to the unit. Allow the battery booster pack to cool down for at least 3 minutes after each boost.

WARNINGS! EXPLOSION HAZARD

• Do not turn jump start switch to “ON” position if the REVERSE POLARITY WARNING LED light is ON and an alarm buzzer is sounding.

• NEVER allow red and black clamps to touch each other or a common piece of metal. This may result in a spark that can cause an explosion.

IMPORTANT

• Before attempting to boost vehicle:

• Turn OFF vehicle ignition and all accessories; ensure vehicle is in “park” and emergency brake is engaged.

• Ensure unit’s BOOSTING POWER SWITCH is in the “OFF” position.

• Do not attempt to jump start an engine if the battery level is at 50% or less.

• Do not place the unit where it could fall when vehicle starts, etc.

• Make sure that cables are routed away from motor fan or belts.

Warning! Instructions are for negative ground systems only (most common for vehicles today). If your vehicle is a positive ground system, reverse steps 1 and 2. Please consult your vehicle’s manual to confirm your vehicle’s ground system.

1. Connect the red clamp to the POS (+) terminal of the vehicle battery.

2. Connect the black clamp to the NEG (-) terminal of the vehicle battery.

NOTE: If red REVERSE POLARITY WARNING LED light is on and an alarm is activated, STOP and reverse clamp connections immediately.

3. When clamps are connected properly, turn BOOSTING switch to the “ON” position.

4. Try starting your vehicle. Crank the engine in 5 second bursts until engine starts.

5. Once vehicle starts, turn BOOSTING switch to the “OFF” position.

6. Disconnect black clamp from vehicle first, then disconnect red clamp.

7. Recharge unit immediately and store unit safely.

This unit is equipped with one DC outlet socket and can be used to power most 12 volt accessories and appliances.

1. Pull open cover of the 12 V DC Power Port on the side of the unit.

2. Insert the 12 V DC plug from the appliance into the 12 V DC Power port on the unit.

3. Switch appliance ON and operate as usual.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT use this unit to operate appliances that need more than 12 A to operate from the 12 V DC power port. The unit has a 12 A automatic overload protection. If loaded more than 12 amps, it will shut off for protection.

The running time will depend on the condition of the battery and the current draw of the appliance. A reference chart with some typical operating times is shown below for your reference.

CAUTION! EQUIPMENT DAMAGE

• DO NOT operate air compressor continuously for longer than 10 minutes.

• Allow compressor to cool down for every 10 minutes of continuous use.

CAUTION! BURST HAZARD AND INJURY

• Carefully follow instructions and recommended pressure of products being inflated.

• DO NOT OVER INFLATE.

• Always wear eye protection when operating the air compressor.

• Always check pressure with the pressure gauge.

• NEVER leave the compressor unattended during use.

Operation Steps:

1. Remove hose from storage compartment.

2. For inflating tires or other objects with valve stems, screw in the nozzle connector to the valve stem. For inflating sporting equipment, party balloons or other objects without valve stems, screw in the appropriate adaptor into the nozzle connector and insert it into the object being inflated.

3. Turn Air Compressor switch to “I” position.

4. Monitor the pressure gauge while inflating. When desired pressure is reached, turn compressor switch to “0” position.

5. Unscrew the nozzle connector to dis-join the valve stem of the object being inflated. If adaptor is used, disconnect from object being inflated and remove adaptor from nozzle connector.

6. Store air hose and ball/balloon adaptors in the appropriate storage compartments.

IMPORTANT: The Air Compressor operates from the internal battery of the unit. Check battery condition to make sure it is satisfactory before operating compressor. DO NOT use compressor function if battery is less than 50%. Recharge unit after each use.

Press LED Light switch to turn LED light ON/OFF.

IMPORTANT: Make sure LED light is OFF when unit is being recharged or stored.

The MOTOMASTER 011-2065-8 is equipped with a USB port with a 5V 2.4A power output. This port is ideal for charging portable electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets and more. Connect device to the USB Power port and operate device normally.

IMPORTANT: Make sure there are no devices plugged in to the USB power port when unit is being recharged or stored.

The fuse in the plug end of the 12V DC charger protects the adaptor’s charging circuit. If the 120 V AC charger works but DC charging does not, the fuse may have opened (blown). The fuse can be replaced with a replacement fuse for the 12 V DC adaptor.

To replace the fuse in the plug:

1. Twist off the upper cover.

2. Check fuse condition. If blown, remove the blown fuse and insert the replacement 2 A fuse.

3. Twist the upper cover back on the plug. DO NOT over tighten the cover.

CAUTION! EQUIPMENT DAMAGE

• All batteries lose energy from self-discharge with time, more rapidly at higher temperatures.

• Gradually warm the frozen battery to 0°C (32°F) before recharging to avoid battery damage.

• If the unit gets dirty, gently clean the outer surfaces with a soft cloth moistened with a mild solution of water and detergent. Do not use solvents or other chemical cleaners.

• Periodically inspect the condition of charging adaptors, connectors, and wires. Contact manufacturer to replace any components that have may become worn or broken.

• DO NOT open or disassemble. Service on this unit is confined to replaceable parts only. All other servicing should be performed by a qualified person.

Routine maintenance is required to keep your MOTOMASTER 011-2065-8 booster pack operating properly.

• Occasionally clean the outer surfaces with a soft cloth moistened with a mild solution of water and detergent. Do not use solvents or other chemical cleaners.

• It is recommended to keep the battery fully charged. Recharge after each use or at least every 2 months to maintain maximum battery capacity. Failing to do so may result in permanent battery damage and poor performance.

WARNING! SHOCK AND FIRE HAZARD

Disconnect all sources of AC and DC power before performing any type of maintenance.

The jump starter is designed to provide years of service. However, the internal battery is not designed to be user replaceable. Because the internal batteries contain lead, which can be hazardous if exposed to the environment, the battery should be recycled or disposed of safely. There are local laws that cover the safe dispose of the battery and the jump starter with common household waste.

Do not dispose of this product in household garbage at the end of its life cycle. Hand it over at a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic appliances. The symbol on the product, the instructions for use or the packing will inform about the methods for disposal.
