Do not let your body, clothing or any item other than suitable cookware contact the ceramic glass until the surface is cool.

Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be placed on the hob surface since they can get hot.

Keep children away from the MONSHER MHI 4515 hob.

Handles of saucepans may be hot to touch. Check saucepan handles do not overhang other cooking zones that are on. Keep handles out of reach of children.

Failure to follow this advice could result in burns and scalds.

The razor-sharp blade of a hob scraper is exposed when the safety cover is retracted. Use with extreme care and always store safely and out of reach of children.

Failure to use caution could result in injury or cuts.

Never leave the MONSHER MHI 4515 appliance unattended when in use. Boil over causes smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite.

Never use the MONSHER MHI 4515 appliance as a work or storage surface.

Never leave any objects or utensils on the MONSHER MHI 4515 appliance.

Do not place or leave any magnetisable objects (e.g. credit cards, memory cards) or electronic devices (e.g. computers, MP3 players) near the MONSHER MHI 4515 appliance, as they may be affected by its electromagnetic field.

Never use the MONSHER MHI 4515 appliance for warming or heating the room.

After use, always turn off the cooking zones and the hob as described in this manual. Do not rely on the pan detection feature to turn off the cooking zones when you remove the pans.

Do not allow children to play with the MONSHER MHI 4515 appliance or sit, stand, or climb on it.

Do not store items of interest to children in cabinets above the hob. Children climbing on the hob could be seriously injured.

Do not leave children alone or unattended in the area where the MONSHER MHI 4515 appliance is in use.

Children or persons with a disability which limits their ability to use the appliance should have a responsible and competent person to instruct them in its use. The instructor should be satisfied that they can use the appliance without danger to themselves or their surroundings.

Do not repair or replace any part of the MONSHER MHI 4515 appliance unless specifically recommended in the manual. All other servicing should be done by a qualified technician.

Do not use steam cleaner to clean the MONSHER MHI 4515 hob.

Do not place or drop heavy objects on the MONSHER MHI 4515 hob.

Do not stand on the MONSHER MHI 4515 hob.

Do not use pans with jagged edges or drag pans across the ceramic glass surface as this can scratch the glass.

Do not use scourers or any other harsh abrasive cleaning agents to clean the MONSHER MHI 4515 hob, as these can scratch the ceramic glass.

If the power supply cable is damaged, it must only be replaced by qualified technician.

The MONSHER MHI 4515 appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

WARNING: Unattended cooking on a hob with fat or oil can be dangerous and may result in fire. NEVER try to extinguish a fire with water, but switch off the appliance and then cover flame e.g. with a lid or a fire blanket.

The MONSHER MHI 4515 appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

The cooking zones on the MONSHER MHI 4515 are, up to a limit, automatically adapted to the diameter of the pan. However, the bottom of the pan is suggested to have a minimum diameter according to the corresponding cooking zone. For best efficiency, place the pan in the centre of the cooking zone.

Pan Diameter Table for MONSHER MHI 4515 Induction Hob:

Step 1. After connecting the MONSHER MHI 4515 hob to electricity and powering it on, press and hold the ON/OFF control button for about 3 seconds until you hear a “beep” to turn the hob on. Now the hob enters into Standby mode, all heat setting indicators and Timer setting indicators show “-”.

Step 2. Place a suitable pan on the cooking zone that you wish to use.

Make sure the bottom of the pan and the surface of the cooking zone are clean and dry.

Step 3. Set heating level of cooking zone as described in the following steps for the MONSHER MHI 4515 model.

For the MONSHER MHI 4515 model, there are separate «+» and «-» heat level control buttons for each cooking zone.

Set heat setting by touching the «+» or «-» button for the corresponding cooking zone.

If you press and hold either of the two buttons, the value will adjust down or up rapidly, from 0 to 9 in a circle.

To use the Booster function on the MONSHER MHI 4515:

1. Activate the cooking zone for which you want to use the Booster function by touching the «+» or «-» button of the heating zone you want to use Booster function to active the cooking zone.

2. Touch the Booster function control button, the heating zone indicator will show “b” and flash for 5 seconds, then stop flashing, then the Booster function will be activated.

After the booster finishes, the cooking zone will return to its original setting.

To cancel the Booster function on the MONSHER MHI 4515:

Follow the above practice of activating the Booster function one more time while the Booster is working; this will cancel the Booster function.

You can also cancel the Booster function by adjusting the power level setting.

To lock the controls on the MONSHER MHI 4515, touch the Child Lock control button once. The timer indicator will show “Lo“, and the Child Lock function will be active.

When the controls are locked, all other touch control buttons except the ON/OFF control button and Child Lock control button are disabled.

To unlock the controls on the MONSHER MHI 4515:

1. Make sure the electric hob is turned on.

2. Touch and hold the Child Lock control button for 3 seconds, the buzzer beeps once and “Lo” disappears in the timer indicator, the Child Lock will become inactive.

3. You can now start using your electric hob.

If the MONSHER MHI 4515 hob is turned off without deactivating the Child Lock function while under the Child Lock mode, the Child Lock function will still be valid when the hob is turned on later.

To activate the Stop & Go function on the MONSHER MHI 4515, press the Stop & Go function button once. All program setting will be held in memory, the hob will stop heating, and all heat setting indicators will show the symbol “P”.

To cancel the Stop & Go function after returning, press the Stop & Go function button again. All program setting will be restored to what they were when the cooking process was interrupted, and the Stop & Go indicator “P” will disappear from all indicators.

When the Stop & Go function is active, all control buttons are disabled except the ON/OFF and Stop & Go buttons.

Note: The hob will auto turn off if the Stop & Go function lasts more than 10 minutes.

1. Ensure the MONSHER MHI 4515 hob is turned on.

2. Touch the timer control button, the number in the timer indicator will flash.

3. Directly touch the «+» or «-» button of the timer to adjust the setting and set the Minute Minder.

4. After setting the minute minder, the countdown starts immediately, and the remaining time will be displayed.

5. When the set time finishes, a buzzer will beep for 30 seconds and the timer indicator will show “- -”. Touch any button on the control panel to deactivate the buzzer sound.

1. Touch the heating zone selection control button to select the cooking zone you wish to set the timer for.

2. Touch the timer control button, the number in the timer indicator will flash.

3. Then adjust the Minute Minder setting.

To adjust heat setting by sliding the slider control:

Touch the timer control button once, the number of the single digit in the timer indicator will flash, then adjust the single digit of the minute minder setting by sliding the slider control.

Press the timer control button again, the number of the tens digit in the timer indicator will flash, then adjust the tens digit of the minute minder setting by sliding the slider control.

Note: After adjusting, the setting in the timer indicator will flash for 5 seconds and then stop flashing, then the setting will be confirmed. The default setting of the timer is 30 minutes.

4. When the timer is set, it will begin to count down immediately, and the display will show the remaining time.

When the cooking timer expires, the corresponding cooking zone will be switched off automatically.

If the display flashes a symbol alternately with the heat setting on the MONSHER MHI 4515 induction hob, it means one of the following:

You have not placed a pan on the correct cooking zone or,

The pan you’re using is not suitable for induction cooking or,

The pan is too small or not properly centered on the cooking zone.

Notes:

No heating takes place unless there is a suitable pan on the cooking zone.

The display will auto turn off after 2 minutes if no suitable pan is placed on it.

When an unsuitable size or non-magnetic pan (e.g. aluminum), or some other small item (e.g. knife, fork, key) has been left on the hob, the corresponding cooking zone will automatically turn off in 1 minute.

If there is no power to the MONSHER MHI 4515 appliance, check the following:

Check whether there is a power cut of your department.

Check whether the appliance be connected to electricity properly.

Has the timer setting elapsed.

Whether it reaches the longest cooking time setting and auto shut off.

Whether there is liquid boiling over touch control panel and overflow protection devices auto shut off.

If the touch control panel buttons on the MONSHER MHI 4515 cannot be active, check the following:

Whether it’s under “Child Lock”, which shows “Lo” in the timer displayer.

Whether liquid/wet cloth over touch control panel active overflow protection.

If the “H” symbol shows on the display after cooking on the MONSHER MHI 4515, this is normal. The hob has Residual Heat Warning safety features. It will remain on until the surface is cool enough for touch.

If the fan of the MONSHER MHI 4515 induction hob remains working for a while after turn off, this is normal, as it is to help the appliance completely cool down.

If some pans make crackling or clicking noises during use of the MONSHER MHI 4515 induction hob, this is normal. It’s the sound of induction coils during working, and for different construction of your cookware, the clicking might be slightly different.

The glass on the MONSHER MHI 4515 may have scratches if you use unsuitable cookware, such as cookware with rough-edged cookware, or if you use unsuitable, abrasive scourers or cleaning products.

If the heating element of the MONSHER MHI 4515 ceramic hob turns on and off alternately when working, this is a normal and natural feature for ceramic hob. The programmable control system, along with the thermostat or thermocouple in the heating element, controls the hob operation at the set power level and avoids overheating by the heating element working on/off alternately.

If working at the highest power level, the heating element will remain on for a certain time and then turn on/off alternately.

If working at a lower power level, the heating element will turn on/off alternately at a certain frequency from the beginning, based on the power setting of the cooking zone.

If the MONSHER MHI 4515 induction hob displays error code E1/E2:

Possible Cause: Abnormal supply voltage.

What to do: Please check whether power supply is normal. Power on after the power supply is normal.

If the MONSHER MHI 4515 induction hob displays error code E3:

Possible Cause: High temperature of the pan sensor.

What to do: Check whether there is no liquid in the pan, fill with liquid then restart.

If the MONSHER MHI 4515 induction hob displays error code E5:

Possible Cause: High temperature of the IGBT temperature sensor.

What to do: Please restart after the induction hob cools down.

If any other error code is displayed on the MONSHER MHI 4515, switch off the hob and contact a service provider.

Before any maintenance or cleaning work is carried out on the MONSHER MHI 4515 appliance, DISCONNECT the appliance from ELECTRICITY supply and ensure the appliance is completely cool.

To clean everyday soiling on the glass surface of the MONSHER MHI 4515 hob:

1. Switch off the power supply.

2. Apply a vitro-ceramic glass cleaner while the glass is still warm (but not hot!).

3. Rinse and wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.

4. Switch on the power supply to the hob.

Important information:

When the power supply of the MONSHER MHI 4515 hob is turned off, the ‘hot surface’ indication will go out, but the cooking zone may still be hot! Take extreme care.

Heavy-duty scourers, some nylon scourers and harsh/abrasive cleaning agents may scratch the glass. Always read the label to check if your cleaner or scourer is suitable.

Never leave cleaning residue on the hob glass surface: the glass may become stained.

To remove boil over, melts, and hot sugary spills on the glass surface of the MONSHER MHI 4515 hob:

Remove these immediately with a fish slice, palette knife or razor blade scraper suitable for ceramic glass of hob, but beware of hot cooking zone surfaces:

1. Switch off the power supply.

2. Hold the blade or utensil at a 30° angle and scrape the soiling or spill to a cool area of the hob.

3. Clean the soiling or spill up with a dish cloth or paper towel.

4. Follow steps 2 to 4 for ‘Everyday soiling on glass’ above.

Important information:

Remove stains left by melts and sugary food or spillovers as soon as possible. If left to cool on the glass, they may be difficult to remove or even permanently damage the glass surface.

Cut hazard: when the safety cover is retracted, the blade in a scraper is razor-sharp. Use with extreme care and always store safely and out of reach of children.

To clean spillovers on the touch controls of the MONSHER MHI 4515 hob:

1. Switch off the power supply.

2. Soak up the spill.

3. Wipe the touch control area with a clean damp sponge or cloth.

4. Wipe the area completely dry with a paper towel.

5. Switch on the power supply to the hob.

Important information:

The hob may beep and turn itself off, and the touch controls may not function while there is liquid on them. Make sure you wipe the touch control area dry before turning the hob back on.

If you find something goes wrong for your MONSHER MHI 4515 hob, check the following before contacting service or where you purchased it:

1. There is no power to the appliance:

Check whether there is a power cut of your department.

Check whether the appliance be connected to electricity properly.

Has the timer setting elapsed.

Whether it reaches the longest cooking time setting and auto shut off.

Whether there is liquid boiling over touch control panel and overflow protection devices auto shut off.

2. The touch control panel buttons can’t be active:

Whether it’s under “Child Lock”, which shows “Lo” in timer displayer.

Whether liquid/wet cloth over touch control panel active overflow protection;

3. After cooking there is “H” shows on display:
