Please read the manual before using the MOBISTEL CYNUS E8 to ensure safe and proper use. Key safety precautions include:

SWITCH OFF IN HOSPITALS: Abide by relevant regulations and turn off your mobile phone near medical equipment.

SWITCH OFF WHEN REFUELING: Do not use the phone at a refueling point or near fuel or chemicals.

MICRO SIM CARDS AND SD CARD: Keep your phone, phone parts, and accessories out of children’s reach as they are portable.

BATTERY: Do not destroy, damage, or throw the battery in fire. Dispose of it in a safe environment when it can no longer be used. Do not try to dismantle the battery. If the battery or charger is broken or old, stop using them and replace with a certified genuine battery.

USE QUALITY EQUIPMENT: Use authorized equipment to avoid danger.

ROAD SAFETY COMES FIRST: Give full attention while driving. Park before using your phone. Follow local traffic rules.

INTERFERENCE: All wireless devices may be susceptible to interference, which could affect performance.

SWITCH OFF IN AIRCRAFT: It is both dangerous and illegal to use a mobile phone in an aircraft as wireless devices can cause interference.

1. Switch off the mobile phone. Then remove the cover. Please start from the bottom left while removing the cover, and flip it up at the bottom.

2. Remove the battery and insert the Micro SIM and SD cards into the correct card slots. The upper slot is for SIM 1 and the lower slot is for the MicroSD card. SIM 2 has a separate slot.

3. Put back the battery and cover.

Please note the following when handling SIM and SD cards:

• Micro SIM cards and SD cards do not support hot plugging.

• Do not remove the cards while the device is transferring data, as this may cause data loss or damage to the cards and device.

• The Micro SIM card and SD card are small parts. Please keep them away from children to avoid accidental swallowing.

• Do not touch the metal surface of Micro SIM and SD cards, and keep them away from electromagnetic fields to avoid data damage.

Charge the battery before using the device. Connect the USB cable to the USB power adaptor, and then plug the end of the USB cable into the USB port on the phone.

Turn on the phone:

Press and hold the power key for a while to turn on the phone.

Turn off the phone:

Long press the power key until a menu appears. Choose “Power off” to turn off the phone.

Restart the phone:

Long press the power key until a menu appears. Choose “Reboot” to restart the phone.

Lock the screen:

Option 1: Press the power key to turn off the screen and lock it.

Option 2: The screen will auto-lock if you don’t use the phone for a while.

Unlock the screen:

Press the power key, and then slide to the top for unlocking.

The Home screen is your starting point to access all the features on your phone. It displays application icons, widgets, and other features. You can customize the Home screen with different wallpaper and display the items you want.

Status Bar: Located at the top of the screen, it displays the time, signal, battery information, and icons for notifications you’ve received.

Notification Center: Swipe down from the top edge to see more detail of new notifications, such as messaging, missed calls, available Wi-Fi networks, etc. Tap the notification and drag it left or right to delete it.

Control Center: Swipe down from the top edge to open the control center. It provides quick access to turn on/off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do not disturb, Data connection, Airplane mode, Auto-rotate, Flashlight, Location, and Audio profiles.

Move an application:

Touch & hold the application you want to move. Drag the application to move it or cross it at the edge of the screen to move it into another screen.

Remove an application:

Touch & hold the application you want to remove. It will appear “Remove” on the top of the screen. Drag it to the “Remove” area until it turns gray to remove it from the home screen.

Uninstall an application:

Touch & hold the application you want to uninstall. It will appear “Uninstall” on the top of the screen. Drag it to the “Uninstall” area until it turns red. Tap “OK” to uninstall.

Creating a folder:

Drag an icon on top of another one to create a folder. Open the folder and then tap “Unnamed Folder” to rename it.

You can control your MOBISTEL CYNUS E8 using the following gestures:

Touch: To act on items on the screen, such as application icons, or to type letters using the onscreen keyboard, simply touch them with your finger.

Touch & hold: Touch and hold an item on the screen without lifting your finger until an action occurs.

Drag: Touch & hold an item for a moment and then, without lifting your finger, move it to the target position. You can drag items on the Home screen to reposition them or drag to open the Notification Center.

Swipe or slide: Quickly move your finger across the surface of the screen without pausing. For example, slide the screen up or down to scroll a list.

Pinch: In some applications (like Maps and Gallery), you can zoom in and out by placing your finger and thumb on the screen at the same time and spreading them apart (to zoom in) or pinching them together (to zoom out).

Rotate the screen: On most screens, the orientation rotates with the phone as you turn it. You can turn this feature on and off.

1. Touch the phone icon on the Home screen.

2. Enter the phone number you want to dial.

3. Touch the green phone icon to dial the number that you entered.

During an ongoing call, you have several options available on the screen:

Speaker: Toggles the speakerphone on or off.

Mute the line: Mutes your microphone so the other person cannot hear you.

Number keyboard: Displays the dial pad to enter numbers.

Switch the line: Allows you to switch between active calls.

More: Accesses additional call options.

End the current call: Touch the red phone icon to hang up.

When you receive a call, you have the following options:

Answer the call: Drag the phone icon to the right.

Reject the call: Drag the phone icon to the left.

Reject the call and send a message: Drag the phone icon to the bottom to reject the call and send a pre-written text message to the caller.

1. Open the Messaging application.

2. Start a new message.

3. In the “Type name or number” field, enter the recipient’s contact information.

4. Tap the “Type text message” field to bring up the onscreen keyboard.

5. Tap the keys on the keyboard to type your message. Word suggestions will appear above the keyboard.

6. Use the Delete key to erase characters to the left of the cursor.

7. When finished, tap the Send icon to send your message.

1. Open the Camera application.

2. Frame your subject on the screen. Touch the screen to focus on a specific area.

3. Pinch or spread your fingers on the screen to zoom in or out.

4. You can adjust settings like flash (On, Off, Auto), switch between front and rear cameras, and enter camera settings from the icons on the screen.

5. Touch the camera shutter icon to take a picture.

The MOBISTEL CYNUS E8 offers several camera modes:

Normal Mode: For taking a standard photo.

Face Beauty Mode: Allows you to DIY your face with Smoother, Whitening, Slimming, and Enlarger effects by dragging a slider.

Filter Mode: Choose from multiple filters like Normal, Light gray, B&W, Aestheticism, Plain, Memory, Nostalgia, Years, and Classical.

HDR Mode: High-Dynamic Range mode improves the light and shadow effect at the same time. For the rear camera only.

Panorama Mode: Press the camera button and move the phone slowly in one direction to capture a wide shot. For the rear camera only.

Night Mode: Through nightscape noise reduction, you can see the subject in the photo clearly at night. For the rear camera only.

PicNote Mode: Intelligently crops and optimizes text in a photo after shooting. For the rear camera only.

Scan Mode: Put a QR/Bar code in the box for scanning.

GIF Mode: Click and hold for continuous shooting of 20 photos, which will be generated into a GIF.

Mood photo Mode: Allows you to shoot a photo like a Polaroid, select a filter, and write down your mood.

1. In the Camera app, tap the video icon to switch to video capturing mode.

2. Adjust the quality and other settings if you wish, or leave them on automatic mode.

3. Point the lens to frame the scene you want to record.

4. Touch the Start Video icon to begin recording.

5. Touch the Stop video icon to stop recording. A thumbnail of your most recent video will be displayed at the bottom left.

You can use the Music player to organize and listen to music and other audio files transferred to your phone.

In the music player screen, you can:

Change play mode: Touch the icon to cycle between List cycle, Shuffle, or Single cycle.

Control playback: Use the Previous song, Play/Pause, and Next song controls.

View lyrics/list: Slide to the left for the lyrics file or slide to the right for the current playlist.

Share and manage: Share music via Bluetooth, Email, etc., or add songs to your favorites or a new song list.

Settings: Access additional settings for the music player.

Airplane mode turns off your phone’s Cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth wireless connections. You can enable it in two ways:

Option 1: Go to Settings –> More –> Airplane mode to turn it on.

Option 2: Swipe down from the top edge of the screen to open the control center, then tap the Airplane mode icon.

1. Go to Settings –> Wi-Fi, and check Wi-Fi to turn it on.

2. The phone will scan for available Wi-Fi networks and display their names. Secured networks are indicated with a Lock icon.

3. Touch a network to connect to it.

4. If the network is open, you will be prompted to confirm the connection. If the network is secured, you will be prompted to enter a password or other credentials.

To send a file:

1. Go to Settings –> Bluetooth, and check Bluetooth to turn it on.

2. Enter File Explorer to select a file, then select More –> Share –> Bluetooth.

3. Touch Scan for devices. The phone will scan for and display the names of available Bluetooth devices in range.

4. Touch the name of the other device in the list to pair with it. After pairing, the file will be sent.

To receive a file:

1. Go to Settings –> Bluetooth, and check Bluetooth to turn it on. Ensure your Bluetooth is visible.

2. You can receive files from devices that are paired with yours. The received file will be saved to the “Bluetooth” folder in the File Explorer.

1. Connect the phone to your computer with a USB cable.

2. Open the notification center on your phone and tap “USB for charging” to open USB connection options.

3. Choose one of the following options:

File transfers (MTP): Transfer files to Windows or Mac.

Photo transfers (PTP): Transfer photos or files if MTP is not supported.

Install driver: If you are unable to connect, select this item to install the driver to the computer.

Do not disconnect the USB cable from the phone when you are transferring files, as doing so may cause data loss or phone damage.

For safe and efficient operation, observe these guidelines:

Potentially explosive atmospheres: Turn off your phone in areas like fueling stations, storage facilities for fuel or chemicals, and blasting areas.

Interference to medical and personal Electronic Devices: Most electronic equipment is shielded from RF signals, but some may not be. If you use a personal medical device, consult its manufacturer to determine if it is adequately shielded.

Audio Safety: This phone can produce loud noises that may damage your hearing. When using the speakerphone feature, place the phone at a safe distance from your ear.

Product handling and use: You are responsible for how you use your phone. Always switch it off where prohibited. Treat your phone and accessories with care, keeping them in a clean, dust-free place. Do not expose them to open flames, liquid, moisture, or high humidity. Do not drop, throw, bend, or use harsh chemicals on the device.

Disassembly: Do not attempt to disassemble your phone or its accessories; only authorized personnel should do so.

Temperature: Do not expose your phone to extreme temperatures, minimum 32°F and maximum 113°F (0°C to 45°C).

Battery: The phone includes an internal lithium-ion battery. Use of certain data applications can result in heavy battery use. Disposal of the phone or battery must comply with local laws and regulations.

Do not attempt to disassemble the phone or its accessory. Only qualified personnel must service or repair the phone or its accessory. If your phone or its accessory has been submerged in water, punctured, or subjected to a severe fall, do not use it until you have taken it to be checked at an authorized service center.
