What information does the thermal printer on my MIDMARK M11-042 print during a program cycle?

The printer will print the following information for each program cycle:

Initial Cycle Information:

• Model Number & Software Version: Indicates the sterilizer model and its software version.

• Total Cycles: Reflects the total cycle count of the sterilizer.

• Sterilizer ID: The serial number of the sterilizer.

• Operator: A line is printed for the operator’s signature.

• Date & Time: The start date and time of the cycle.

• BEGIN selected CYCLE: Indicates the beginning of the cycle selected by the operator.

• Cycle Settings: A summary of the selected cycle’s temperature, time, and dry time settings.

During the Cycle:

FILLING CHAMBER: Printed once the cycle starts to show the sterilizer is filling with water.

HEATING: Printed when the Heating Phase begins. The printer then records chamber temperature, pressure, and elapsed time in 2-minute increments until this phase is complete.

STERILIZING: Printed when the Sterilization Phase begins. The printer records chamber temperature, pressure, and elapsed time in 1-minute increments until this phase is complete. A summary of the minimum and maximum temperature and pressure during this phase is also printed.

VENTING CHAMBER: Printed when the sterilization phase is complete to show that steam pressure is being exhausted.

DRYING: Printed when the drying phase begins. The words “DRYING START” are printed, and the printer records temperature, pressure, and elapsed time in 5-minute increments. The printer continues to print in 5-minute increments until the phase is complete, at which point “DRYING COMPLETE” is printed. If a programmed dry time is not divisible by 5 (e.g., 12 minutes), the final record will reflect the actual time in 1-minute increments (e.g., 5, 10, and 12 minutes).

After the Cycle:

Cycle Summary: A summary of the duration for each phase (FILLING, HEATING, STERILIZING, VENTING, DRYING) and the Total Cycle Time.

CYCLE COMPLETE: Printed after the summary to indicate the cycle has finished successfully.

NOTE: If the drying cycle is aborted, “DRYING COMPLETE” and “CYCLE COMPLETE” will not be printed.
