The main components of the smart plug are the LED Indicator, the Power Supply Socket where you plug in your appliance, and the On/Off Button.

Press: A single press of the button turns the plug On or Off.

Press and hold: Pressing and holding the button will restore the plug to its factory settings.

The key feature is the ability to switch the Plug on or off whenever you want or at preset times using your mobile app.

Connect the smart plug to the power supply socket. The smart plug turns on successfully when the indicator light is on.

1. Ensure the smart plug is located somewhere with a stable Wi-Fi connection.

2. Keep away from damp environments to avoid the risk of water entering the smart plug.

3. Keep away from flames to ensure the smart plug is not burned.

It is not necessary for everyone trying to use the smart plug to connect to it individually. A user who is already connected may share it with other users. To share it, tap the ‘…’ icon from the upper right corner of the Mi Smart Plug (Wi-Fi) screen in the app to share with designated accounts or family.

1. Install Mi Home App

Scan the QR code in the user manual or go to the App store to download and install the Mi Home app.

2. Add a Device

Open the Mi Home app, tap “+” on the upper right, and then follow the prompts to add your device.

Note: The firmware of the Mi Home app might have been updated; please follow the instructions based on the current app version.

You can set up a smart scenario for remote control. For example, connect an ordinary lamp to the MI ZNCZ03CM Smart Plug and use it alongside a ‘motion sensor’ from the Smart Home Set. The ‘motion sensor’ by the bed could sense your movement when you get up during the night and tell the Mi Smart Plug to turn on the lamp automatically.
