Please observe the following safety warnings when using the LUMEN RD-806 projector:

Do not look at the light from the lens directly. It may damage your eyes, especially for children.

Do not place the projector on a wet surface to avoid electric shock.

High Voltage: Do not open the projector, except for professionals. There are instructions for important operations and warnings about dangerous voltage inside.

When you turn off the projector, the fans will continue to work for approximately 90 seconds. Make sure the fans have completely stopped before you unplug the power cable to avoid damaging the projector lamp.

The remote control batteries should be installed correctly to prevent damage. Keep the remote control out of children’s reach.

Before using your LUMEN RD-806 projector, please read the manual carefully and follow these instructions:

1. Clean: When cleaning the projector, unplug the power cable and use a wet cloth, not a cleanser.

2. Accessories: Use only recommended accessories to avoid damaging the projector.

3. Using environment: Do not place the projector in any wet environments.

4. Installation: Place the projector on a stable surface.

5. Ventilation: For best performance, clean the filter once a month.

6. Power: Before plugging in the power, ensure the voltage of your area matches the projector’s requirements (220V or 110V).

7. Ground wire: The three-pin plug is the ground wire for this projector.

8. Protect the power cable: Ensure the power cable is in perfect working condition before use.

9. Thunder: If there is thunder or if you are not using the projector for a long period, unplug the power cable.

10. Repair: Due to high voltage, do not open or try to repair the projector yourself. Refer to a professional technician if repair is needed.

11. Heat: Do not place the projector near any heating devices, as this may shorten its life span.

To turn the LUMEN RD-806 on:

1. Before using the remote control, install two batteries.

2. Turn on the power switch on the backboard. The power light will begin to flash.

3. Press the power key on the remote control or the control panel. The indicator light will change to blue.

4. After a few seconds, the lamp will begin to work.

To turn the LUMEN RD-806 off:

1. While the projector is in use, press the “power” key. The projector will enter standby mode.

2. The lamp will shut off while the fan continues to work for a little longer. The projector will shut off automatically when the fan stops.

3. DO NOT unplug the power cable before the fan stops completely.

4. When the projector is in standby mode, its auto-protecting system is on. To start it up again, press the “power” key.

Please follow these cautions when installing your LUMEN RD-806 projector:

To improve the projector’s life span, do not place it on a wet surface.

Do not put the projector in direct sunlight.

The projector’s working temperature is 32°F – 158°F. The storage temperature is -20°F – 158°F.

Do not block the ventilation window. If the interior temperature gets too hot, it will automatically shut down. To prevent overheating, clean the filter once a month.

The fan is essential to keep the projector’s temperature low. Do not unplug the power cable while the fan is still working after turning the projector off. If the fan stops working, the projector may be damaged by overheating.

For the best image quality, avoid direct sunlight. If you are using the projector during the daytime, it is recommended to draw the curtains.

If the image appears unclear or trapezoidal, follow these steps:

Focus Adjustment:

Turn the lens clockwise towards the projector, then turn it counter-clockwise slowly. While doing so, check the resolution point carefully. When the image is clear, particularly in the middle area, it is in the best position.

Note: When you move the projector from a cold to a warm environment, water vapor might appear on the lens. Do not turn the projector on; wait until the vapor has disappeared.

Keystone Adjustment:

If the projected picture has keystone distortion (trapezoid shape), it means the screen or projector is not leveled. Use the keystone adjustment to correct the image. Reposition the projector to improve its angle to the screen. Note that the circumference of the image may not be perfectly focused after keystone correction. If you cannot correct the distortion with the keystone function, lower the projector to center the screen vertically.

You can position the LUMEN RD-806 in four different ways. Contact a professional installer to mount the projector to a ceiling.

1. Front projection, ceiling mount: The projector is mounted upside down on the ceiling in front of the screen.

2. Front projection, table mount: The projector is placed on a table in front of the screen.

3. Rear projection, ceiling mount: The projector is mounted upside down on the ceiling behind a translucent screen.

4. Rear projection, table mount: The projector is placed on a table behind a translucent screen.

Installation Warnings:

This projector may be damaged beyond repair if it is incorrectly mounted on a ceiling or on a surface.

Use the projector only in an environment with a temperature between 32-95°F. Temperatures outside this range may cause malfunction.

Placing the projector in a dusty, wet, moist, or smoky environment may cause malfunction.

Ensure proper ventilation. Otherwise, the projector may be damaged or cause a life-threatening situation due to overheating.

Refer to the following table to adjust your picture size based on the distance from the lens to the screen. Please allow +/- 3% to the image sizes. If the distance is less than 2 meters or more than 5 meters, the image could be blurry.

Caution: Please connect the input signal cable well, then turn on the projector. Otherwise, it is easy to damage the projector.

The LUMEN RD-806 supports the following formats via its USB interface:

Video: MPG, MPG-1, MPG-2, MPG-4, AVI, MP4, DIV, TS, TRP, MKV, MOV, WMV, RM, RMVB

Picture: JPEG, BMP

Audio: MPG, MPG-1, MPG-2, MPG-4, AVI, MP4, DIV, TS, TRP, MKV, MOV, WMV, RM, RMV

It also supports various codecs as shown in the table below:

Cautions:

1. The USB interface supports USB 1.1 and USB 2.0, including hard drives and flash drives.

2. The maximum storage supported is 400GB.

3. Supported file system formats are FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS.

4. The USB interface supports most drives but is not universal. Any unknown device problem is caused by the device driver.

5. The total voltage of connected devices shall not exceed 1200mAh.

The control panel has the following functions:

1. Power key: Turns the projector on or off. This function is the same as the “power” button on the remote control.

2. Sources: Chooses the input signal (such as AV, YPBPR, HDMI 1/2, USB 1/2 or PC).

3. Menu: Adjusts the menu by using the Up/Down, Left/Right keys.

4. Indicator light: Shows the projector’s status. Red color for standby, green color for working.

5. Direction operation Key: Navigational keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) and OK button for menu navigation.

Follow these steps to navigate and adjust settings:

1. During operation, press the “menu” key. The menu window will appear on the screen.

2. Press the left/right arrow keys to enter a submenu (Picture > Sound > Time > Option).

3. After confirming the submenu, use the up/down arrow keys to select the item you want to adjust.

4. Use the “OK” key and the left/right arrow keys to adjust the parameters of the selected item.

5. After finishing all settings, press the “menu” key again to exit the settings.

6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 to set up all other parameters.
