What does the control panel operate with?
The Single Phase Duplex control panel operates with float switches.
When is the panel inactive?
When all floats are in the open or OFF position, the panel is inactive.
What happens when the liquid level rises and closes the STOP float?
The panel remains inactive until the LEAD float closes.
What happens when the LEAD float closes?
At this point, the LEAD pump will turn ON if the Hand-Off-Auto switch is in the AUTO mode and the power is ON.
How long will the pump remain on?
The pump will remain ON until both the STOP and LEAD floats return to their OFF positions.
What happens if the liquid level rises beyond both the STOP and LEAD floats to reach the LAG float?
The LAG pump will turn ON if the Hand-Off-Auto switch is in the AUTO mode and the power is ON.
How long will both pumps remain on?
Both pumps will remain ON until the STOP, LEAD, and LAG floats return to their OFF positions.
What happens if the liquid level rises to reach the ALARM float?
The alarm will be activated.
What happens when an alarm condition occurs?
The red light and horn will be activated.
How can the horn be silenced?
If the TEST/NORMAL/SILENCE switch is moved to the SILENCE position and released, the horn will be silenced.
What happens when the alarm condition is cleared?
The alarm system is reset.
What do the HOA 3-way switches control?
The HOA 3-way switches control pump functions.

Splicing in a liquid-tight junction box will be required. For outdoor or wet installation, a Liberty Pumps UL Type 4X junction box is recommended.

What should you check when wiring the control panel?
Check local codes and the schematic inside the panel for the number of power circuits required. Be sure the pump power voltage and phase are the same as the pump motor being installed.

Connect the following wires to the proper terminal positions:
- incoming power
- pump 1
- pump 2
- float switches

Floats require a free range of motion. They must not touch each other or any equipment in the pump chamber.

What do the float LEDs indicate?
The float LEDs indicate the status of the floats.

The lead/lag selector switch selects which pump will be the lead pump.
What is the function of the auxiliary alarm terminals?
The auxiliary alarm terminals are used to connect external alarm devices. They can be wired normally open or normally closed.
What do the simulate float buttons do?
The simulate float buttons simulate the activation of the float switches for testing purposes.
What do the pump HOA switches do?
The pump HOA switches allow you to select the operating mode for each pump (Hand, Off, or Auto).
How can I program the float button options?
With power on, HOAs off, floats off or disconnected, press the desired float button rapidly 4 times and hold. The pump LEDs will flash upon successful programming.
What does the “Pump Fail Alarm Stop On” option do?
Activates if a pump causes “LAG” 3 cycles in a row.
What does the “Manual Alarm Reset Lead Off” option do?
Latches high alarm: clear with external test switch.
What does the “Seal Fail Horn Lag Off” option do?
Activates horn upon seal fail.
What does the “Alarm Flasher Alarm Off” option do?
Flashes beacon upon high alarm.
What does a flashing red pump light indicate?
Pump fail.
What does a flashing SF1 or SF2 PROG indicate?
Seal fail.
