To reduce the risk of explosion, fire, death, electric shock, injury, or scalding when using your LG T2525NTWE, follow these basic precautions:

Technical Safety

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• Use a new hose or hose-set supplied with the appliance. Reusing old hoses can cause a water leak and subsequent property damage.

• Ventilation openings must not be obstructed by a carpet.

• This appliance is intended to be used in household applications only.

• The inlet water pressure must be between 50 kPa and 800 kPa.

• The maximum capacity for dry clothes to be washed is 2.5 kg.

• Never attempt to operate the appliance if it is damaged, malfunctioning, partially disassembled, or has missing or broken parts, including a damaged cord or plug.

• This appliance should only be transported by two or more people holding the appliance securely.

• Do not install the appliance in a damp and dusty place. Do not install or store the appliance in any outdoor area, or any area that is subject to weathering conditions such as direct sunlight, wind, rain, or temperatures below freezing.

• Make sure the power plug is completely pushed into the power outlet.

• Do not plug the appliance into multiple outlet sockets, power boards, or an extension power cable.

• Do not modify the power plug provided with the appliance. If it does not fit the power outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.

• This appliance is equipped with a power cord having an equipment-earthing / grounding conductor (earthing pin) and a grounding power plug. The power plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet socket that is installed and earthed / grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

• Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or service personnel if you are in doubt as to whether the appliance is properly grounded.

• Tighten and secure the drain hose at connecting ends to avoid separation.

• The Mini Washer is designed to wash lightly soiled and delicate items. Do not wash normally or heavily soiled clothes or other items such as rugs, mats, shoes, sheets, towels, jeans, or pet blankets.

• Do not install the Mini Washer on top of another Mini Washer or Pedestal or elevated surface or stand.

• To avoid breaking the door glass, do not push too hard on the door when closing.

• Do not open or close the door by foot and step on the Mini washer.

• Do not apply any sharp objects to the control panel to operate the appliance.

• Do not attempt to separate any panels or disassemble the appliance.

• Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance. All repairs and servicing must be performed by qualified service personnel unless specifically recommended in this Owner’s Manual. Use only authorized factory parts.

• Do not push down the door excessively when the appliance door is open.

• Do not put animals, such as pets into the appliance.

• Keep the area underneath and around the appliance free of combustible materials such as lint, paper, rags, chemicals, etc.

• Do not leave the appliance door open. Children may hang on the door or crawl inside the appliance, causing damage or injury.

• Do not put in, wash or dry articles that have been cleaned in, washed in, soaked in, or spotted with combustible or explosive substances (such as waxes, oils, paint, gasoline, degreasers, etc.). Improper use can cause fire or explosion.

• Do not use or store flammable or combustible substances near the appliance.

• Never reach into the appliance while it is operating. Wait until the drum has completely stopped.

• Do not touch the door during a high-temperature programme.

• In case of a water leak or flood, disconnect the power plug.

• Turn off water taps to relieve pressure on hoses and valves and to minimize leakage if a break or rupture should occur. Check the condition of the fill hoses; they should be replaced after 5 years.

• If there is a gas leakage (isobutane, propane, natural gas, etc.) within the home, do not touch the appliance or power plug and ventilate the area immediately.

• If the drain hose or inlet hose is frozen during winter, use it only after thawing.

• Keep all washing detergents, softener and bleach away from children.

• Do not touch the power plug or the appliance controls with wet hands.

• Do not bend the power cable excessively or place a heavy object on it.

• Avoid touching any water that is drained from the appliance during the wash.

• Make sure that drainage is working properly. If water is not drained properly, your floor may get flooded.

• Wipe off dirt or dust on the contacts of the power plug.

Maintenance

• Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning the appliance. Setting the controls to the OFF or stand by position does not disconnect this appliance from the power supply.

• Securely plug the power plug in the outlet socket after completely removing any moisture and dust.

• Do not spray water inside or outside the appliance to clean it.

• Never unplug the appliance by pulling on the power cable. Always grip the power plug firmly and pull straight out from the outlet socket.

• Only qualified service personnel should disassemble, repair, or modify the appliance.

Disposal

• Before discarding an old appliance, unplug it. Cut off the cable directly behind the appliance to prevent misuse.

• Dispose of all packaging materials (such as plastic bags and styrofoam) away from children. The packaging materials can cause suffocation.

• Remove the door before disposing of or discarding this appliance to avoid the danger of children or small animals getting trapped inside.

Installation Location:

• The appliance must be installed on firm flooring to minimize vibration. Concrete flooring is best.

• If positioned next to a gas cooker or coal burning stove, an insulation sheet (850 x 600 mm) must be placed between the appliances.

• Ensure the appliance is easily accessible for an engineer in case of a breakdown.

• Use the provided spanner to adjust all four feet to ensure the appliance is stable.

Clearance Requirements: To ensure sufficient clearance for hoses and airflow, allow minimum clearances of at least 2 cm at the sides and 10 cm behind the appliance.

Ventilation: Make sure air circulation is not impeded by carpets or rugs.

Ambient Temperature: Do not install where freezing temperatures may occur. If delivered in freezing conditions, allow it to reach room temperature for a few hours before operation.

Electrical Connection:

• Do not use an extension cord or double adapter.

• Always unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply after use.

• Connect to an earthed socket. The plug must be easily accessible and the outlet within 1 meter of either side of the appliance.

Attaching Brackets on Mini Washer:

1. After removing packaging, lift the Mini Washer off the foam base. Keep the 2 brackets from the foam base. Ensure the plastic tub support comes off with the base.

2. Remove and save the foam block for future use in transportation.

3. Turn the top cover about 180 degrees, cover the opening in the top, and install 4 short sheet metal screws.

4. Attach the two back brackets on the rear top of the Mini Washer by inserting 4 machine screws in each bracket. Insert screws on each side first, then the front and back sides.

Stacking Main Washer on Mini Washer:

1. Place the Main Washer on top of the Mini Washer. Place the leveling feet of the Main Washer inside the bracket openings on the Mini Washer and align the screw holes.

2. Securely attach the two washers at the corners using screws.

3. Turn the feet of the Main Washer slightly clockwise with a spanner until they are firmly snug up against the Mini Washer.

Before connecting, ensure water pressure is between 50 kPa and 800 kPa. The Mini Washer will not work as a stand-alone unit. Check that the two rubber seals are in place inside the water supply hose ends to prevent leaks.

Connecting Screw-Type Hose to Tap with Thread:

1. Screw the supply hose connector onto the water supply tap until it is tight.

Connecting One Touch Type Hose to Tap Without Thread:

1. Unscrew the adapter ring plate and loosen the 4 fixing screws on the adapter.

2. If the tap is too large, remove the guide plate from the adapter.

3. Push the adapter onto the end of the tap so the rubber seal is watertight. Tighten the 4 fixing screws and the adapter ring plate.

4. Pull the connector latch plate down, push the inlet hose onto the adapter, and release the latch plate to lock it in place.

After connecting the hose to the tap, turn on the water to flush out any debris before connecting to the washer.

Connecting Hoses to Both Washing Machines:

1. Open the accessory package for the Mini Washer.

2. Connect one end of the cold water supply hose connector to the cold water supply hose of the Main Washer first.

3. Connect the additionally provided water supply hose of the Main Washer to the other side of the connector and to the cold water tap.

4. Connect the water supply hose of the Mini Washer to the COLD water supply hose connector.

Ensure the hoses are not kinked or pinched.

The drain hose should not be placed higher than 100 cm above the floor.

Connecting to the Mini Washer:

1. Insert the band clamp onto the drain hose elbow. You may need pliers to open the clamp.

2. Firmly insert the elbow onto the drain outlet on the back of the Mini Washer.

3. Adjust the band clamp with pliers to secure the hose and prevent leaks.

Connecting to the Drain Connector:

1. Insert the included band clamps onto the ends of the two drain hoses (from the Main Washer and Mini Washer).

2. Connect the drain hose of the Main Washer and Mini Washer to the drain connector.

3. Connect the main drain hose from the connector to the drain spigot on the laundry sink or bench top fitting.

CAUTION: Adjust band clamps to prevent hoses from coming loose. Ensure drain hoses are not kinked or pinched.

Proper leveling ensures long, reliable operation and prevents noise and vibration.

1. When pushing down on the edges of the top plate diagonally, the appliance should not move up and down. If it rocks, adjust the feet.

2. Turn the levelling feet as required if the floor is uneven. Do not insert pieces of wood under the feet. Make sure all four feet are stable and resting on the floor.

3. Check if the appliance is perfectly level using a spirit level.

4. Secure the levelling feet by turning the lock nuts anti-clockwise against the bottom of the appliance.

5. Check that all lock nuts are secured properly.

WARNING: After stacking the Main Washer on the Mini Washer, use the leveling feet on the Mini Washer to level both. The Main Washer’s leveling feet should already be firmly snug against the Mini Washer with the locknuts secured.

If you install the appliance on a slippery surface, it may move. Use the anti-slip sheets to prevent this.

1. Clean the floor where the sheets will be placed. Use a dry rag to remove foreign objects and moisture.

2. Adjust the level of the appliance in the installation area.

3. Place the adhesive side of the anti-slip sheets on the floor. It is most effective to place them under the front feet. If this is difficult, place them under the rear feet.

4. Put the appliance on the anti-slip sheets. Do not attach the adhesive side of the sheets to the feet of the appliance.

1. Sort clothes and load items. Sort by fabric type, soil level, colour, and load size. Open the door and load the items.

2. Add cleaning products. Add the proper amount of detergent with the detergent measuring cup to the washing drum evenly.

3. Close the door and drawer.

4. Turn on the appliance. Press the Power button.

5. Choose the desired cycle. Press the cycle button repeatedly until the desired cycle is selected.

6. Begin cycle. Press the Start/Pause button. The appliance will agitate briefly without water to measure the load weight. If the button isn’t pressed within a certain time, the appliance will shut off.

7. End of cycle. A melody will sound. Immediately remove your clothing to reduce wrinkling. After washing is complete, wipe off the washing machine door, gasket, and inside the drum with a soft dry towel.

Sorting the Clothes:

• For best results, sort clothes according to the care label, fabric type, and washing temperature.

• Soil level: Separate clothes by soil level (Heavy, Normal, Light). Wash lightly soiled items in the Mini Washer, and heavily or normally soiled items in the LG Main Washer.

• Colour: Wash dark or dyed clothes separately from whites or light colours to prevent dye transfer.

• Lint: Wash lint-producing fabrics separately from lint-collecting fabrics.

Checking Clothes Before Loading:

• Combine large and small items in a load. Load large items first. Large items should not be more than half the total load. Do not wash single items.

• Check all pockets to ensure they are empty. Items like nails, hair clips, matches, pens, coins, and keys can damage the appliance and clothes.

• Wash delicates (stockings, underwired bras) in a wash net.

• Close zippers, hooks, and strings to prevent snagging.

• Pre-treat dirt and stains by brushing a small amount of dissolved detergent onto them.

The symbols on your garment’s care label tell you how it should be washed.

Note: The dashes under the symbol give you information about the type of fabric and the maximum allowance of mechanical stress.

Detergent Dosage:

• Use detergent according to the manufacturer’s instructions, based on fabric type, colour, soiling, and washing temperature. Use only detergents suitable for front-load type washers.

• If too many suds occur, reduce the detergent amount.

• Adjust detergent usage for water temperature, water hardness, and load size/soil level.

• Refer to the clothes label before adding detergent.

Using the Dispenser:

1. Slide open the drawer.

2. Add liquid detergent to the compartment marked with a ‘1’ and liquid fabric softener to the compartment marked with a ‘2’. Do not pour past the maximum fill line.

3. Gently slide the drawer closed before starting the washing programme.

Using the Detergent Measuring Cup:

1. Slide open the drawer and open the inner door (lid).

2. Measure the detergent with the provided measuring cup and pour it directly into the drum. Use only one cup of detergent.

3. Close the door and slide the drawer closed before starting.

Important Notes:

• Do not pour liquid detergent or softener directly onto clothes in the drum.

• Do not leave detergent in the dispenser for more than 1 day as it may harden.

• Do not open the drawer when water is being supplied.

• Never use solvents like benzene.

1. Power On/Off Button: Press this button to turn the washing machine on.

2. Programme Button: Press to select a programme according to the clothes type. The lamp will light up to indicate the selected programme.

3. Display: Shows settings, estimated remaining time, options, and status messages. The display blinks while the load weight is being sensed.

4. Start/Pause Button: Used to start or pause the wash cycle. If a temporary stop is needed, press this button.

5. Extra Options and Functions:

• To use extra functions like Tub Clean or Rinse+, press and hold the corresponding button for 3 seconds. The symbol lights up in the display.

• Remote Start: With the LG ThinQ app, you can control your appliance remotely.

• Wi-Fi: Press and hold the ‘V’ button for 3 seconds to initiate the connection of the appliance to the LG ThinQ application.

Adjusting the Number of Rinses:

1. Prepare the clothes and load the drum.

2. Press the Power button.

3. Add detergent.

4. Select a washing programme.

5. Press the Rinse+ button as necessary. The number of rinsing cycles will be displayed (1 up to 5 rinses can be selected, depending on the programme).

6. Press the Start/Pause button.

Locking/Unlocking the Control Panel (Child Lock):

This function prevents children from changing cycles or operating the appliance.

1. Turn on the power.

2. Press and hold the Child Lock button (this may be a dual-function button, refer to your control panel) for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the function.

Note:

• When Child Lock is set, all buttons are locked except the Power button.

• ‘CL’ and the remaining time will be shown alternately on the display when active.

• Turning the power off will not reset this function. You must deactivate it to access other functions.

You can communicate with your appliance from a smartphone using the following convenient smart features:

• Remote Start: Allows you to control the appliance remotely from the LG ThinQ application.

• Download Cycle: You can download new and special cycles that are not included in the basic cycles on the appliance. Only one downloaded cycle can be stored at a time.

• Tub Clean Coach: Shows how many cycles remain before it is time to run the Tub Clean function.

• Energy Monitoring: Checks the energy consumption of recently used cycles and the monthly average.

• Smart Diagnosis: Provides useful information for diagnosing and solving issues with the appliance based on the pattern of use.

• Settings: Allows you to set various options on the appliance and in the application.

• Push Alert: Receive push notifications on your smartphone when the cycle is complete or if the appliance has problems.

Use your smartphone to control your appliance remotely and monitor the cycle operation.

1. Put the clothes into the drum. Add detergent or fabric softener if desired.

2. Press the Power button.

3. Press and hold the ‘∨’ button for 3 seconds to enable the remote control function.

4. Start a cycle from the LG ThinQ application on your smartphone.

Note: Once this function is enabled, you can only start a cycle from the smartphone application. If the cycle is not started, the appliance will wait until it is turned off remotely or the function is disabled. You cannot start a cycle remotely if the door is open.

To Disable the function manually: When the function is activated, press and hold the ‘∨’ button for 3 seconds.

This feature helps you diagnose and solve problems with your appliance. It is only available on models with the Smart Diagnosis logo.

Using LG ThinQ to Diagnose Issues:

If you have a Wi-Fi equipped appliance, it can transmit troubleshooting data to a smartphone using the LG ThinQ application.

1. Launch the LG ThinQ application and select the Smart Diagnosis feature in the menu.

2. Follow the instructions provided in the LG ThinQ application.

Using Audible Diagnosis to Diagnose Issues:

1. Launch the LG ThinQ application and select the Smart Diagnosis feature in the menu. Follow the instructions for audible diagnosis provided in the application.

2. Press the Power button to turn on the appliance. Do not press any other buttons.

3. Place the mouthpiece of your smartphone close to the Smart Diagnosis logo (max. 10 mm).

4. Press and hold the Rinse+ button for 3 seconds or longer while holding the smartphone mouthpiece to the logo until the data transfer is complete. Keep the phone in place until the transfer finishes.

5. After the data transfer is complete, the diagnosis will be displayed in the application.

WARNING: Unplug the appliance before cleaning to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Cleaning After Every Wash:

• Always remove items as soon as the cycle is complete to avoid wrinkling, colour transfer, and odour.

• After the cycle, wipe the door and door seal to remove any moisture.

• Leave the door slightly open to allow the drum to dry.

• Wipe the appliance exterior with a dry cloth.

Cleaning the Exterior:

• Immediately wipe off any spills.

• Wipe with a damp cloth, then a dry cloth, ensuring no moisture in cabinet joints or crevices.

• Do not press on the surface or display with sharp objects.

Door:

• Wash with a damp cloth on the outside and inside, then dry with a soft cloth.

Run this function once a month, or more often if needed, to reduce build-up of detergent and other residue. If there is a bad smell or mildew, run it once a week for 3 weeks. The ‘tCL’ message will display as a reminder.

1. Remove any clothing or items from the appliance.

2. Dilute 200 ml of liquid chlorine bleach in 1 liter of water and pour the mixture into the drum.

3. Close the door and drawer.

4. Turn on the power, and then select the Tub Clean cycle (by pressing and holding the corresponding button for 3 seconds).

5. Press the Start/Pause button to start.

6. After the cycle, leave the door open to dry the inside of the appliance completely to prevent bad smells or mildew.

Cleaning the Lint Filter:

Clean the lint filter after at least 2-3 washes for efficient washing performance.

1. Squeeze the side tabs and lift out the filter from the drum.

2. Open the cap and remove any lint.

3. Wash the filter with a soft brush.

4. Insert the lower part of the filter back into the drum and close the cap until you hear a click sound.

CAUTION: Do not operate the washing machine without the lint filter.

Cleaning the Water Inlet Filter:

Clean the inlet filter every six months, or more often if water is hard or contains limescale. The ‘IE’ error message may appear if the filter is clogged.

1. Turn off the power and the water tap, then unscrew the water inlet hose from the back of the appliance.

2. Remove the water inlet filter with small pliers.

3. Clean the filter using a medium bristle toothbrush.

4. Re-insert the filter and securely re-attach the water inlet hose.

If your appliance and smartphone are not connecting to the Wi-Fi network, try the following solutions:

• The password for the Wi-Fi is incorrect.
Find the Wi-Fi network connected to your smartphone and remove it, then register your appliance again on LG ThinQ.

• Mobile data for your smartphone is turned on.
Turn off the Mobile data of your smartphone and register the appliance using the Wi-Fi network.

• The wireless network name (SSID) is set incorrectly.
The wireless network name (SSID) should be a combination of English letters and numbers. Do not use special characters.

• The router frequency is not 2.4 GHz.
Only a 2.4 GHz router frequency is supported. Set the wireless router to 2.4 GHz and connect the appliance to it.

• The distance between the appliance and the router is too far.
If the distance is too far, the signal may be weak and the connection may not be configured correctly. Move the router so that it is closer to the appliance.
