The LG RK7 is designed to automatically optimize the sound to suit the installation conditions, whether it is placed horizontally or vertically.

If the installation method is changed from Horizontal to Vertical or Vertical to Horizontal, the unit will indicate the change by displaying VERTICAL MODE or HORIZON MODE on the display panel.

In Horizon mode, you can press the Play/Pause button to change the tuner from mono to stereo.

When placing the unit, follow these safety precautions:

Do not sit on or push the unit, as it may result in malfunction or injury.

Do not place the unit on an unstable position and keep it at a safe distance from children.

Be careful that the unit does not fall down, as this can cause personal injury or property damage.

Watch out for the foot when laying the unit horizontally.

Step 1. Connect one end of the included AC power cord to the AC IN socket located on the rear of the LG RK7.

Step 2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a wall outlet.

Note: Unplug the AC power cord from the wall outlet if you do not plan to use the unit for an extended period of time.

You can connect the output of an auxiliary device, such as a camcorder, TV, or player, to the LG RK7.

Step 1. Connect the audio output jacks of your external device to the AUX IN (L/R) connectors on the LG RK7 using an audio cable. If your device has only one audio output (mono), connect it to the left (white) audio jack on the unit.

Step 2. Turn the power on by pressing the Power button.

Step 3. Press the F (Function) button to select the AUX function.

Step 4. Turn on the external device and start playback.

LG Sound Sync allows you to control functions like volume and mute using a compatible LG TV remote control.

Step 1. Connect your LG TV to the LG RK7 using an optical cable.

Step 2. Open the TV setting menu and set the sound output to [LG Sound Sync (Optical)].

Step 3. Turn on the LG RK7 by pressing the Power button.

Step 4. Press the F (Function) button until the OPTICAL function is selected. You will see LG OPT on the display window when the connection is established normally.

Step 1. Turn on the LG RK7 by pressing the Power button.

Step 2. Press the F (Function) button until the LG TV function is selected.

Step 3. Set up the sound output on your TV by going to the setting menu: [Sound] then [TV Sound output] then [LG Sound Sync (Wireless)].

Step 4. PAIRED will appear on the display window for about 3 seconds, followed by LG TV if the connection is successful.

After connecting a USB device to the USB port and selecting the USB function, you can use the following controls:

When playing music from a USB device, you can change the playback order by pressing REPEAT. The display will show the following options:

Step 1. Turn on the LG RK7 unit.

Step 2. Operate your Bluetooth device and search for the speaker. A list of found devices will appear; select LG RK7 (XX), where XX represents the last two digits of the Bluetooth address.

Step 3. If prompted for a PIN code, enter 0000.

Step 4. Once successfully connected, PAIRED will appear on the unit’s display, followed by the name of the Bluetooth device. BT will remain on the display.

Step 5. You can now play music stored on your Bluetooth device.

The BT LOCK function limits Bluetooth connections to only the BT (Bluetooth) and LG TV functions to prevent unintended connections from other devices.

To turn this function ON: Press and hold the Play/Pause button for about 5 seconds while in the BT (Bluetooth) function. ON-BT LOCK will appear on the display.

To turn this function OFF: Press and hold the Play/Pause button again for about 5 seconds in the BT (Bluetooth) function. OFF-BT LOCK will appear.

Ensure the FM antenna is connected before beginning. You can preset up to 50 FM stations.

Step 1. Press the F button until FM appears in the display window.

Step 2. Select the desired frequency by pressing TUNING -/+ on the remote or the Skip buttons on the unit.

Step 3. Press JUKEBOX / MEMORY on the remote control. A preset number will blink in the display.

Step 4. Press PRESET FOLDER up/down to select the preset number you want.

Step 5. Press JUKEBOX / MEMORY again to store the station.

Step 6. Repeat these steps to store more stations. To listen to a preset station, use the PRESET FOLDER buttons or the 0 to 9 numerical buttons.

The LG RK7 features several pre-set surround sound fields. You can select them using the BASS BLAST or SOUND EFFECT buttons.

To set a custom EQ, press USER EQ / DEMO on the unit, then press it again to cycle through Bass, Middle, and Treble. Use the + and – buttons to adjust the values.

The JUKE BOX function allows you to create a custom playlist of up to 100 files from a USB device.

Step 1. Press and hold JUKEBOX/MEMORY on the remote control to enter edit mode.

Step 2. Select a file using the Skip buttons.

Step 3. Press JUKEBOX/MEMORY to save the file to the list.

Step 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more files.

Step 5. Press JUKEBOX/MEMORY once more to finish.

To play the list, press JUKEBOX/MEMORY once (ON – JUKEBOX will appear) and then press Play.

Step 1. Connect your microphone to the MIC jack on the rear panel.

Step 2. Play the music source you want.

Step 3. Sing along. Adjust the microphone volume using MIC +/- on the remote.

Additional features include:

VOICE CANCELLER: Reduces vocal tones in the music. Press the VOICE CANCELLER button to activate.

KEY CHANGER: Adjusts the key of the music in 9 steps (4 higher, 4 lower). Use the KEY CHANGER buttons during playback.

VOCAL EFFECTS: Changes your voice with various effects (Bass, Soprano, Helium, Robot, etc.). Press VOCAL EFFECTS repeatedly to select.

ECHO: Adds an echo effect to your voice. Press ECHO to cycle through ECHO 1, ECHO 2, or OFF.

The LG RK7 provides various lighting modes to create a party atmosphere. Press the LIGHTING button repeatedly to cycle through modes:

Normal Mode: PARTY, WATER, FOREST, MY STYLE, or OFF.

Wireless Party Link Mode: RHYTHM, PARTY, FIREWORK, SPACE, WATER, FOREST, CITYGLOW, MY STYLE, or OFF.

To turn off the LED lighting entirely, press and hold the LIGHTING button for 3 seconds.

You can enjoy sound through two identical LG RK7 speakers using DUAL mode.

Step 1. Press F on both units to select the BT (Bluetooth) function.

Step 2. Press the DUAL button on one unit. ROLE SELECT will appear on the display.

Step 3. Press the DUAL button repeatedly or use the Skip buttons to select LEFT or RIGHT for that unit. The other unit will automatically be set to the opposite channel.

Step 4. When the units connect, the connected device names will appear on each unit.

If you cannot change the input source with the F key and the display only shows DEMO mode, follow this step:

Press and hold the DEMO key on the LG RK7 unit for 15 seconds.
