The front panel of your LG M2762A has the following controls:

Headphone Jack: For connecting headphones.

IR receiver: Receives signals from the remote control.

Power Indicator: Illuminates blue when the set is switched on.

INPUT Button: Selects the input source.

MENU Button: Displays the on-screen menu.

OK Button: Confirms selections in the menu.

VOL (◄ / ►) Buttons: Adjusts the volume.

PR (▼ / ▲) Buttons: Changes the programme.

POWER (⏻ / I) Button: Switches the set on or off.

The back panel of your LG M2762A has the following ports for connections:

1. POWER CORD SOCKET: For connecting the AC power cord.

2. AUDIO OUTPUT: For connecting audio to a Headphone Jack.

3. HDMI INPUT: For connecting a device with an HDMI signal or a DVI (VIDEO) signal using a DVI to HDMI cable.

4. RGB/DVI AUDIO INPUT: For connecting audio from a PC.

5. RGB INPUT (PC): For connecting the video output from a PC.

6. COMPONENT INPUT: For connecting a component video/audio device.

7. AV(AUDIO/VIDEO) INPUT: For connecting audio/video output from an external device.

8. ANTENNA / CABLE INPUT: For connecting over-the-air signals (antenna) or cable TV.

To install the stand on your LG M2762A, please follow these steps:

1. Carefully place the product screen side down on a cushioned surface that will protect the product and screen from damage.

2. Insert the Stand Base into the product.

3. Use a coin on the bottom of the stand base and turn the screw clockwise to tighten.

To detach the stand from your LG M2762A, please follow these steps:

1. Place the set screen side down on a cushion or soft cloth.

2. Detach the monitor from the Stand Base by turning the screw to the left using a coin.

3. Pull the stand base away from the monitor.

To detach the stand body when using a wall mount for your LG M2762A, follow these instructions:

1. Remove the 4 screws securing the stand body.

2. Pull the stand body off the monitor.

When wall mounting your LG M2762A, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Ventilation: Allow a clearance of 10 cm on each side and from the wall for proper ventilation.

VESA Compatibility:

1. Ensure you use screws and a wall mount that meet VESA standards.

2. Using screws longer than the recommended length might damage the product.

3. Using non-VESA standard screws might damage the product or cause it to fall. LG is not responsible for damage resulting from failure to follow these instructions.

Screw Mounting Interface Dimension for LG M2762A: 200 mm x 100 mm hole spacing.

For displays 787.4 mm (31.0 inch) and above: Use the VESA standard wall mount pad and screws.

To adjust the position of your LG M2762A for maximum comfort, you can adjust the tilt of the panel. The tilt range is from -5° to 15°.

Warning: When adjusting the angle of the screen, do not put your finger(s) in between the head of the monitor and the stand body to avoid injury.

To secure your LG M2762A to a wall while it is on a stand, follow these steps:

1. Insert the eye-bolts (or set brackets and bolts) to tighten the product to the wall as shown in the picture. If your product has bolts in the eye-bolts position, loosen them first.

2. Insert the eye-bolts or set brackets/bolts and tighten them securely in the upper holes of the TV.

3. Secure wall brackets with bolts (sold separately) to the wall. Match the height of the bracket on the wall to the holes in the product.

4. Ensure the eye-bolts or brackets are tightened securely.

5. Use a sturdy rope or cord (sold separately) to tie the product to the wall brackets. It is safer to tie the rope so it becomes horizontal between the wall and the product.

Note:

• When moving the set, undo the cords first.

• Use a platform or cabinet strong and large enough to support the set.

• Ensure the height of the bracket on the wall and the one on the set are the same for safety.

To prevent the LG M2762A from being pulled in a forward/backward direction, which could cause injury or damage, you must attach it to a desk. Use only the attached screw (provided as part of the product) to secure the stand to the desk through the designated hole.

Warning: To prevent the TV from falling over, it should be securely attached to the floor/wall per installation instructions. Tipping, shaking, or rocking the machine may cause injury.

1. Connect the video outputs (Y, PB, PR) of the digital set-top box to the COMPONENT IN VIDEO jacks on the LG M2762A.

2. Connect the audio output of the digital set-top box to the COMPONENT IN AUDIO jacks on the LG M2762A.

3. Turn on the digital set-top box.

4. Select the COMPONENT input source using the INPUT button on the remote control.

1. Connect the HDMI output of the digital set-top box to the HDMI IN jack on the LG M2762A.

2. Select the HDMI input source using the INPUT button on the remote control.

3. Turn on the digital set-top box.

Note: We recommend using an HDMI cable less than 10 meters long. For the best picture quality, adjust the output resolution of the source device to 1920 x 1080p.

You can connect a DVD player using either a component cable or an HDMI cable.

Using a Component Cable:

1. Connect the video outputs (Y, PB, PR) of the DVD player to the COMPONENT IN VIDEO jacks on the set.

2. Connect the audio outputs of the DVD player to the COMPONENT IN AUDIO jacks on the set.

3. Turn on the DVD player and insert a DVD.

4. Select the COMPONENT input source using the INPUT button on the remote control.

Using an HDMI Cable:

1. Connect the HDMI output of the DVD player to the HDMI IN jack on the set.

2. Select the HDMI input source using the INPUT button on the remote control.

3. Refer to the DVD player’s manual for operating instructions.

You can connect a VCR using either an RF cable or an RCA cable.

Connecting with a RF cable:

1. Connect the ANT OUT socket of the VCR to the ANTENNA IN socket on the LG M2762A.

2. Connect the antenna cable to the ANT IN socket of the VCR.

3. Press the PLAY button on the VCR and match the appropriate programme between the TV and VCR for viewing.

Connecting with a RCA cable:

1. Connect the AUDIO / VIDEO jacks between the LG M2762A and VCR. Match the jack colours (Video = yellow, Audio Left = white, and Audio Right = red).

2. Insert a video tape into the VCR and press PLAY on the VCR.

3. Select the AV input source using the INPUT button on the remote control.

1. Connect the AUDIO / VIDEO jacks between the LG M2762A and the external equipment. Match the jack colours (Video = yellow, Audio Left = white, Audio Right = red).

2. Select the AV input source using the INPUT button on the remote control.

3. Operate the corresponding external equipment according to its operating guide.

1. Connect the signal cable from the monitor output socket of the PC to the RGB IN (PC) input socket of the LG M2762A.

2. Connect the audio cable from the PC to the AUDIO IN (RGB) socket of the set.

3. Press the INPUT button on the remote control to select RGB PC.

4. Switch on the PC. The PC screen will appear on the set, and it can be operated as a PC monitor.

Note: User must use shielded signal interface cables (D-sub 15 pin cable) with ferrite cores to maintain standard compliance for the product. Connect the signal input cable and tighten it up by turning in the direction of the arrow as shown in the figure.

You can tie the cables together with a cable management feature as shown in the illustration in the owner’s manual to keep them organized.

The supported resolutions for your LG M2762A vary depending on the input mode.

RGB[PC] mode:

The main functions of the remote control are:

POWER: Switches the set on from standby or off to standby.

TV/PC: Selects TV or PC mode.

INPUT: Selects the input source.

MUTE: Switches the sound on or off.

PSM (Picture Status Memory): Recalls your preferred picture setting.

SSM (Sound Status Memory): Recalls your preferred sound setting.

I/II: Selects the sound output.

0~9 (Number buttons): Selects a programme or numbered items in a menu.

LIST: Displays the programme table.

Q.VIEW: Returns to the previously viewed programme.

THUMBSTICK (Up/Down/Left/Right/OK): Navigates on-screen menus, adjusts settings, selects programmes (Up/Down), adjusts volume (Left/Right), and accepts selections (OK).

MENU: Selects a menu.

SLEEP: Sets the sleep timer.

ARC/* (Aspect Ratio Control): Selects your desired picture format.

Coloured Buttons: Used for teletext or Programme edit functions.

TELETEXT Buttons: Used for teletext functions.

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back side of the remote.

2. Install two 1.5 V AAA batteries, matching the correct polarity (+ with +, – with -).

3. Do not mix old or used batteries with new ones.

4. Close the cover.

To remove the batteries, perform the installation actions in reverse.

1. Firstly, connect the power cord correctly. At this stage, the set switches to standby mode.

2. In standby mode, press the POWER button (⏻/I) on the set or press the POWER button on the remote control to switch the set on.

3. If the OSD (On Screen Display) for the Installation Guide is displayed, you can adjust the Language and start the Auto Tuning process.

1. Press the MENU button, and then use the ▲/▼ buttons to display and cycle through the main menus (Setup, Picture, Audio, Time, Option).

2. Press the ► button and then the ▲/▼ buttons to select a specific menu item within a main menu.

3. Change the setting of an item in a sub-menu or pull-down menu with the ◄/► buttons.

4. You can move to a higher-level menu by pressing the OK button.

Note: In the teletext mode, menus are not displayed.

1. Press the MENU button and then ▲/▼ to select the Setup menu.

2. Press ► and then ▲/▼ to select Auto Tuning.

3. Press ► and then ▲/▼ to select System.

4. Press ► and then ▲/▼ to select your TV system (BG, I, DK, M).

5. Press the ▼ button to select Storage From.

6. Press ► or NUMBER buttons to select the initial programme number to start storing from.

7. Press the ▼ button to select Search.

8. Press the ► button to begin auto tuning. All receivable stations will be stored.

9. To stop auto tuning, press the MENU button. When tuning is complete, the Programme edit menu will appear.

10. Press the MENU button to move to the previous menu screen.

1. Press MENU and select the Setup menu.

2. Select Manual Tuning.

3. Select Storage and choose a programme number (0 to 199) with the ◄/► or NUMBER buttons.

4. Select System and choose your TV system.

5. Select Band and choose V/UHF or Cable.

6. Select Channel and choose the desired channel number.

7. Select Search. The search will commence and stop when a station is found.

8. Press the OK button to store it.

9. To store another station, repeat steps 3 to 8.

10. Press MENU to exit.

1. Press the MENU button and select the Setup menu.

2. Select Programme Edit and press ► to display the menu.

Deleting a programme:

• Select a programme to be deleted with the ▲/▼ buttons.

• Press the RED button twice. The selected programme is deleted, and subsequent programmes are shifted up.

Moving a programme:

• Select a programme to be moved with the ▲/▼ buttons.

• Press the Green button.

• Move the programme to the desired programme number with the ▲/▼/◄/► buttons.

• Press the Green button again to confirm.

Skipping a programme number:

• Select a programme number to be skipped with the ▲/▼/◄/► buttons.

• Press the BLUE button. The skipped programme turns blue.

• Press the BLUE button again to release the skipped programme.

3. Press the MENU button to return to the previous menu.

1. Press the MENU button and select the Setup menu.

2. Select Favourite Programme.

3. Press the ► button.

4. Press the ▲/▼ button to select a favourite slot (represented by – – – -).

5. Select a desired programme with the ◄/► button or NUMBER buttons.

6. To store another favourite programme (up to 8), repeat steps 4 to 5.

7. Press the MENU button to exit.

You can then cycle through your stored favourite programmes by repeatedly pressing the YELLOW button on the remote.

You can adjust the Aspect Ratio in the Picture menu. The available options are:

16:9: Adjusts the picture horizontally to fill the entire screen, useful for viewing 4:3 formatted DVDs.

Original: When your TV receives a wide screen signal, it will automatically change to the broadcast picture format.

4:3: Displays a picture with an original 4:3 aspect ratio, with black bars on the left and right of the screen.

14:9: Magnifies a 4:3 picture to the left and right.

Zoom 1: Fills the entire screen without alteration, but the top and bottom of the picture will be cropped.

Zoom 2: Alters the picture by extending it horizontally and cropping it vertically, a compromise between alteration and screen coverage.

Just Scan: Displays the picture with the best quality without loss of the original picture in high resolution image. (Available in HDMI/Component over 720p mode).

Note: You can only select 4:3 and 16:9 (Wide) in Component and HDMI mode.

1. Press the MENU button and select the Picture menu.

2. Select Picture Mode and press ►.

3. Select a mode (e.g., Vivid, Standard, Cinema) and press OK.

4. Use the ▲/▼ buttons to select the picture option you want to adjust (Backlight, Contrast, Brightness, Sharpness, Colour, Tint).

5. Use the ◄/► buttons to make the appropriate adjustments.

6. Press the MENU button to return to the previous menu.

The adjustable settings are:

Backlight: Controls the brightness of the LCD panel.

Contrast: Adjusts the difference between light and dark levels.

Brightness: Increases or decreases the amount of white in the picture.

Sharpness: Adjusts the level of crispness in the edges.

Colour: Adjusts the intensity of all colours.

Tint: Adjusts the balance between red and green levels.

You can calibrate the screen by adjusting the advanced picture settings. These settings can be found in the Picture menu under ‘Advanced’.

Dynamic Contrast (Off/Low/High): Adjusts the contrast to the best level according to screen brightness. Makes bright parts brighter and dark parts darker. Not available in RGB 1080p/i mode.

Dynamic Colour (Off/Low/High): Adjusts screen colours to be more lively and richer. Enhances hue, saturation, and luminance. Not available in RGB 1080p/i mode.

Noise Reduction (Off/Low/High): Reduces screen noise without compromising video quality.

Black Level (Low/High): Sets the black level of the screen to the proper level. This is available in RF, AV, Component, or HDMI modes.

Film Mode (On/Off): Makes video clips recorded in film look more natural. Operates only in TV, AV, RF, and Component 480i/576i modes.

Colour Temperature (Cool/Medium/Warm): Choose one of three automatic colour adjustments. You can also adjust Red, Green, and Blue details manually.

Note: At 1080i/p, Dynamic Contrast, Dynamic Colour, and Noise Reduction are not enabled.

1. Press the MENU button and select the Picture menu.

2. Use the ▲/▼ buttons to select Picture Reset.

3. Press the ► button to initialize the adjusted value, returning the selected picture mode to its factory default settings.

4. Press the MENU button to exit.

This function automatically adjusts the screen position, clock, and phase. The displayed image will be unstable for a few seconds during this process.

1. Press the MENU button and select the Picture menu.

2. Press ► and then select Screen.

3. Press ► and then select Auto Config.

4. Press the OK button to start the auto configuration.

5. Press the MENU button to exit.

1. Press the MENU button and select the Audio menu.

2. Select Sound Mode and press ►.

3. Use the ▲/▼ buttons to select your preferred sound setting: Standard, Music, or Cinema.

4. Press MENU to exit.

1. Press the MENU button and select the Audio menu.

2. Select Sound Mode and choose Standard, Music, or Cinema.

3. Press the OK button and then use ▲/▼ to select Treble or Bass.

4. Use the ◄/► buttons to make appropriate adjustments.

5. Press MENU to exit.

The Auto Volume Leveler automatically keeps the volume at the same level even if you change programmes.

1. Press the MENU button and select the Audio menu.

2. Select Auto Volume and press ►.

3. Use the ▲/▼ buttons to select On or Off.

4. Press MENU to exit.

1. Press the MENU button and select the Time menu.

2. Select Clock and press ►.

3. Press ► and then ▲/▼ to set the hour.

4. Press ► and then ▲/▼ to set the minute.

5. Press MENU to exit.

1. Press the MENU button and select the Time menu.

2. Select Off Time or On Time and press ►. Select On to activate the timer, or Off to cancel.

3. Press ► and set the hour with ▲/▼.

4. Press ► and set the minutes with ▲/▼.

5. For the On Time function only, you can also set the programme (PR) and volume level (Vol) for when the TV turns on.

6. Press MENU to exit.

Note: The TV must be in standby mode for the On Time function to work. If both timers are set to the same time, the Off Time function will override the On Time function.

The sleep timer automatically switches the TV to standby after a preset time has elapsed.

1. Press the MENU button and select the Time menu.

2. Select Sleep Timer and press ►.

3. Use the ▲/▼ buttons to set the time in minutes (Off, 10, 20, 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, or 240).

4. Press MENU to exit.

This feature prevents unauthorized viewing by requiring the remote control to operate the TV.

1. Press the MENU button and select the Option menu.

2. Select Key Lock and press ►.

3. Use the ▲/▼ buttons to select On or Off.

4. Press MENU to exit.

Note: When Key Lock is ‘On’, the display ‘Key Lock On’ will appear if any button on the side panel is pressed. If the TV is turned off, you must use the POWER button on the remote control to turn it back on.

This function resets all menu options to their original factory preset values and deletes all stored programmes.

1. Press the MENU button and select the Option menu.

2. Select Factory Reset and press ►.

3. Use the ▲/▼ buttons to select Yes or No.

4. If you select Yes, the reset will be performed. After the reset is completed, you must restart the Installation Guide.

5. Press MENU to exit.

Switch On/Off:

Press the TEXT button to switch to teletext. The initial page or last page viewed appears. Press the TEXT button again to switch off teletext.

Page Selection (SIMPLE TEXT):

Enter the desired page number as a three-digit number with the NUMBER buttons. Use the ▲/▼ button to select the preceding or following page.

Special Teletext Functions:

TIME: Press to select a sub page number. Use RED/GREEN, ▲/▼ or NUMBER buttons to hold or change the sub page.

SIZE: Press to enlarge the top half of the page, press again for the bottom half, and press a third time to return to normal.

UPDATE: Displays the TV picture on the screen while waiting for a new teletext page.

REVEAL: Press to display concealed information, such as solutions to riddles.

INDEX: Selects the index page.

HOLD: Stops automatic page changes if a teletext page consists of 2 or more sub pages.

MIX: Displays the teletext pages superimposed on the TV picture.

• Check to see if there is any object between the TV and the remote control causing an obstruction.

• Are the batteries installed with the correct polarity (+ to +, – to -)?

• Install new batteries.

• Check if the sleep timer is set.

• Check the power control settings and ensure the power supply has not been interrupted.

• The TV will go into Standby mode automatically if no signal is received and no operation is performed for 15 minutes.

• Check whether the TV is switched on.

• Try another channel. The problem may be with the broadcast.

• Is the power cord inserted correctly into the mains outlet?

• Check your antenna direction and/or location.

• Test the mains outlet by plugging another device into the same outlet.

This is normal. The image is muted during the TV startup process. If the picture has not appeared after five minutes, please contact your service center.

• Adjust Colour in the menu option.

• Allow a sufficient distance between the TV and a VCR.

• Try another channel. The problem may be with the broadcast.

• Are the video cables installed properly?

• Activate any function to restore the brightness of the picture.

Check the antenna. Try changing the position of the antenna.

• Press the VOL ▲ or ► button.

• Is the sound muted? Press the MUTE button.

• Try another channel. The problem may be with the broadcast.

• Are the audio cables installed properly?

Adjust the Balance setting in the Audio menu option.

This message appears when the signal from the PC (video card) is outside the horizontal or vertical frequency range of the display. Please see the ‘Product Specifications’ section of the manual and configure your display settings again.

Caution: Be sure to switch the power off and unplug the power cord before you begin any cleaning.

Cleaning the Screen:

1. A good way to keep dust off your screen is to wet a soft cloth in a mixture of lukewarm water and a little fabric softener or dishwashing detergent. Wring the cloth until it’s almost dry, and then use it to wipe the screen.

2. Ensure there is no excess water on the screen. Allow any water or dampness to evaporate before switching on.

Cleaning the Cabinet:

• To remove dirt or dust, wipe the cabinet with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.

• Do not use a wet cloth.

Extended Absence:

If you expect to leave your TV dormant for prolonged periods (such as a holiday), unplug the power cord to protect against possible damage from lightning or power surges.
