The anti-tip device is a safety feature that must be properly installed to secure your LG LSES6338N electric range and reduce the risk of tipping. A child or adult can tip the range and be killed. It is crucial for the following reasons:

To level your LG LSES6338N range, adjust the leveling legs with a wrench. Extending the legs slightly can also make it easier to insert the rear leg into the anti-tip bracket.

Checking Adjustments:

1. Place a level diagonally on the oven rack and check each direction for level. First check direction one, then check the other direction.

2. If the level doesn’t show that the rack is level, adjust the leveling legs with a wrench until the rack is level.

After your LG LSES6338N range is properly installed, run a test cycle to ensure it is working correctly.

1. Before using the cooktop for the first time, clean it with a ceramic cooktop cleaner. This helps protect the top and makes cleanup easier.

2. Turn the oven mode knob to the OFF position to start the test.

3. Turn each cooktop knob to the HI position to check that the surface heating elements are working properly. The elements should glow red and radiate heat, and they should cycle on and off periodically. This cycling prevents the glass-ceramic from being cracked by thermal shock. The Warm Zone does not consume enough power to glow red.

4. After checking all surface heating elements, test the locking system by pressing Control Lock for three seconds. The oven controller should lock, and the cooktop should not operate. Press Control Lock again for three seconds to disable it.

5. Check the oven’s operation. Turn the oven mode knob to select the Bake mode. 350 °F appears in the display. Press START.

6. The oven should finish preheating in about 15 minutes, and the convection fan should operate while the oven is preheating.

7. After checking the oven’s operation, turn the temperature up to 450 °F and leave the oven on for at least an hour to help remove any oil which might cause smoke and odors when first using the oven. Smoke may come out of the range when it is first used; this is normal.

You will need a 3/32″ Allen wrench. When assembling or disassembling, grasp the handle firmly and wear gloves for your safety.

Removing Oven Door Handle:

1. Loosen the set screws located on the lower side of the handle with the 3/32 in. Allen wrench and remove the handle.

Assembling Oven Door Handle:

1. Place the handle on the door by fitting the handle footprints over the mounting fasteners and tightening the set screws with the 3/32 in. Allen wrench.

Before starting, turn off power to the appliance and work with one knob at a time to avoid mixing up pieces.

Removing Knob Rings:

1. Make sure all knobs are in the OFF position.

2. Choose which knob you will work with first.

3. Remove the knob by grasping the sides and pulling it away from the appliance until it is free from its shaft. You may need to wiggle it slightly.

4. To remove the knob ring, turn it counterclockwise to release the tabs on the knob ring from the notches on the mounting plate.

Assembling Knob Rings:

1. Hold the knob ring so that the tabs at the top and bottom are aligned with the corresponding notches on the mounting plate. Note that notches and tabs vary in size.

2. Secure the knob ring by rotating it clockwise so that the top and bottom tabs are inserted into the notches.

3. Match the replacement knob with the one you removed, ensuring they have the same label and markings.

4. Hold the replacement knob so that OFF is at the top and it lines up properly with the shaft.

5. Push the knob onto the shaft as far as possible so it fits snugly.

The control panel of the LG LSES6338N includes the following features:

• Display: Press any button to activate the display.

• Control Lock: Press and hold for 3 seconds to lock the control panel.

• Cook Time: Sets the desired amount of time for food to cook. The oven shuts off when the time runs out.

• Start Time: Sets a delayed timed cook. The oven starts at the set time.

• Temp.: Sets the oven temperature during oven use.

• Timer On/Off / Wi-Fi: Sets or cancels the kitchen timer. Press and hold for three seconds to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

• Keep Warm: Keeps food warm after cooking in the oven.

• Settings: Selects and adjusts oven settings.

• Clock: Sets the time of day.

• Light: Turns the oven light on or off.

• START: Starts all oven features.

• Oven Mode Knob: Turn the knob to select the oven operating mode (e.g., Bake, Broil, Air Fry).

The clock on your LG LSES6338N must be set to the correct time of day for the automatic oven timing functions to work properly.

1. Press Clock.

2. Press the number pads to enter the time. For example, to set the clock for 10:30, press the numbers: 1, 0, 3, and 0.

3. Press START.

The control is set to use a 12-hour clock by default. To set the clock to 24-hour mode, see the “Settings” section.

The Timer feature on your LG LSES6338N serves as an extra kitchen timer that beeps when the set time has run out. It does not start or stop any cooking functions.

To set the timer for 5 minutes:

1. Press Timer On/Off once for hours and minutes, or twice for minutes and seconds. 0:00 appears and Timer flashes in the display.

2. Press 5. 0:05 appears in the display.

3. Press Timer On/Off to start the Timer. The remaining time will count down in the display.

When the set time runs out, “End” shows in the display, and indicator tones will sound every 15 seconds until Timer On/Off is pressed.

To cancel the timer:

1. Press Timer On/Off once. The display returns to the time of day.

Press the Settings button repeatedly on your LG LSES6338N to toggle through and change various oven settings. The Settings button allows you to:

• Set the hour mode: Press Settings once, then press 1 to toggle between a 12-hour and 24-hour clock. Press START to accept.

• Enable/disable Convection Auto Conversion: Press Settings repeatedly until “Auto” appears. Press 1 to disable or enable auto conversion. Press START to accept.

• Calibrate the oven temperature: Press Settings repeatedly until “AdJU” shows. Use the number buttons to enter the adjustment amount (up to ±35 °F or ±19 °C). Press START to accept.

• Activate/deactivate the preheating alarm light: Press Settings repeatedly until “PrE” appears. Press 1 to select on/off. Press START to accept.

• Set the beeper volume: Press Settings repeatedly until “BEEP” appears. Press 1 to select Hi, Lo, or Off. Press START to accept.

• Switch temperature scale: Press Settings repeatedly until “Unit” appears. Press 1 to select F (Fahrenheit) or C (Celsius). Press START to accept.

• Set the cooktop on alert volume: Press Settings repeatedly until “CtOP” appears. Press 1 to select Hi, Lo, or Off. Press START to accept.

The Control Lock feature on your LG LSES6338N locks the control panel and oven mode knob but does not lock the oven door. When activated, the cooktop and oven mode knob will not operate.

1. Press and hold Control Lock for three seconds.

2. The lock melody sounds, and “Loc” and the lock icon appear in the display.

3. To deactivate the Control Lock feature, press and hold Control Lock for three seconds. The unlock melody sounds and the controls unlock.

The Delayed Timed Cook function turns the oven on and off at specific times you select. It can be used with Bake, Conv. Bake, and Conv. Roast modes. For example, to bake at 300 °F for 30 minutes and delay the start of baking until 4:30:

1. First, ensure the clock is set to the correct time of day.

2. Turn the oven mode knob to select Bake. 350 °F appears in the display.

3. Set the temperature: Press 3, 0, and 0.

4. Press Cook Time. “Timed” flashes in the display. Bake, 0:00, and 300 °F appear.

5. Set the baking time: press 3 and 0 (for 30 minutes).

6. Press Start Time.

7. Set the start time: Press 4, 3, and 0 for 4:30.

8. Press START. A short beep sounds, and “Timed Delay” and the start time appear in the display. The oven will begin baking at 4:30.

The following table shows the minimum, maximum, and default settings for various features on your LG LSES6338N electric range.

For the best results on your LG LSES6338N cooktop, use cookware with flat bottoms that make good contact with the entire surface heating element. Check for flatness by placing a ruler across the bottom of the cookware; there should be no gaps.

To use the InstaView feature on your LG LSES6338N, knock twice on the center of the glass door panel. This will turn on the interior oven light, allowing you to see the contents of the oven without opening the door.

• Knocking twice again on the glass panel turns the interior light off.

• The light turns off automatically after 90 seconds.

• Do not hit the glass door panel with excessive force or hard objects like cookware, as the glass could break.

• The InstaView function is disabled during Self Clean, Control Lock, and initial power input.

Bake Mode:

The convection system uses a fan to circulate heat for more even cooking.

1. Turn the oven mode knob to select Conv. Bake or Conv. Roast.

2. Set the oven temperature using the number pads.

3. Press START. The oven will preheat. The display shows the auto-converted temperature (25 °F lower than set) after preheating.

4. When cooking is finished, turn the oven mode knob to the OFF position.

The Air Fry function on your LG LSES6338N is specially designed for oil-free frying and automatically increases the entered temperature by 50 °F for optimal performance. No preheating is required.

Setting the Air Fry Function:

1. Turn the oven mode knob to select Air Fry. 400 °F appears in the display.

2. Set the oven temperature (Range: 300 °F – 550 °F).

3. Press START.

4. When cooking is complete, turn the oven mode knob to the OFF position.

Tips for Air Fry:

• For best results, use the provided air fry tray and spread food out evenly in a single layer.

• Place a foil-lined baking tray on a rack in a lower position to catch any drips.

• Check food often and shake or turn it over for crisper results.

• Prepared frozen foods may cook faster than package directions. Reduce the cooking time by about 20% and check early.

† High-fat items may produce more smoke when cooked using Air Fry. For less smoke, cook using Convection Roast mode.

The meat probe accurately measures the internal temperature of meat, poultry, and casseroles. It should not be used during broiling, self clean, warming, proofing, Frozen Meal or Air Sous-Vide modes. Example for roasting at 375 °F to a probe temperature of 160 °F:

1. Insert the meat probe into the center of the thickest part of the meat, away from fat or bone.

2. Connect the meat probe to the jack inside the oven. The meat probe icon will flash in the display if properly connected.

3. Select a cook mode. Turn the oven mode knob to select Conv. Roast.

4. Set the oven temperature to 375 °F and press Start.

5. Set the probe temperature: touch 1, 6, and 0 until 160 °F appears in the display.

6. Press Start.

The display will show the changing probe temperature. When the set probe temperature is reached, the oven will shut off automatically. To change the probe temperature during cooking, press Temp., enter the new temperature, and press Start.

Sabbath mode is used on the Jewish Sabbath and Holidays. When activated, all oven function buttons and cooktop knobs are inactive. This mode is only available with the Bake mode.

1. Disconnect the meat probe if it is connected.

2. Turn the oven mode knob to select Bake.

3. Set the desired temperature and cook time.

4. Press START.

5. Press and hold Settings for three seconds. “Sb” appears in the display when the Sabbath mode is activated.

6. To stop the Sabbath mode, press and hold Settings for three seconds. To cancel the Bake function, set the oven mode knob to the OFF position at any time.

The LG ThinQ application allows you to communicate with your LG LSES6338N electric range using a smartphone. Features include:

• Smart Diagnosis: Provides useful information for diagnosing and solving issues with the appliance.

• Settings: Allows you to set various options on the oven and in the application.

• Scan to Cook: Scan the barcode on a ready-made meal to send recommended cooking instructions to your oven. Remote Start must be activated.

• Monitoring: Check the current status, remaining time, cook settings, and end time.

• Product Notifications: Turn on Push Alerts to receive appliance status notifications.

• Timer: You can set the timer from the application.

• Firmware Update: Keep the appliance updated with the latest enhancements.

The Smart Diagnosis feature helps you diagnose and solve problems with your appliance. You can use it via the LG ThinQ app or through audible diagnosis.

Using LG ThinQ to Diagnose Issues:

If you experience a problem with your Wi-Fi equipped appliance, it can transmit troubleshooting data to a smartphone using the LG ThinQ application.

• Launch the LG ThinQ application and select the Smart Diagnosis feature in the menu. Follow the instructions provided in the LG ThinQ application.

Using Audible Diagnosis to Diagnose Issues:

1. Launch the LG ThinQ application and select the Smart Diagnosis feature in the menu. Follow the instructions for audible diagnosis provided in the app.

2. Press the START button on the range for 3 seconds. If the display is locked, you must deactivate the lock first.

3. Hold the mouthpiece of your phone in front of the control panel.

4. Keep the phone in place until the tone transmission has finished. The display will count down the time. Once the countdown is over and the tones have stopped, the diagnosis will be displayed in the application.

Interior:

Use the product’s EasyClean function for light soil. For stubborn soil, use the Self Clean function. A plastic spatula can be used to scrape off debris. The rough side of a non-scratch scouring pad can help with burnt-on stains.

Exterior – Control Panel:

Disconnect power to the appliance. Clean up splatters with a damp cloth using a glass cleaner. Remove heavier soil with warm, soapy water.

Exterior – Front Manifold Panel and Knobs:

Use a damp cloth and mild soapy water or a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Knobs can be removed for cleaning by pulling them straight off the stems while in the OFF position.

Exterior – Stainless Steel Surfaces:

1. Place a small amount of stainless steel appliance cleaner on a damp cloth.

2. Clean a small area, rubbing with the grain of the stainless steel.

3. Dry and buff with a clean, dry paper towel or soft cloth.

To maintain and protect the surface of your LG LSES6338N glass cooktop, follow these steps:

1. Before first use, clean it with a ceramic cooktop cleaner to protect the top and make cleanup easier.

2. Use ceramic cooktop cleaner daily to keep it looking new.

3. Shake the cleaning cream well and apply a few drops directly to the cooktop.

For Burned-On Residue:

The EasyClean feature uses only water for a 10-minute cycle to help loosen LIGHT soils before hand-cleaning. Ensure the oven is cool before starting.

1. Remove oven racks and accessories from the oven.

2. Scrape off and remove any burnt-on debris with a plastic scraper.

3. Fill a spray bottle (10 oz or 300 ml) with water and thoroughly spray the inside surfaces of the oven.

4. Use at least 1/5 (2 oz or 60 ml) of the water to completely saturate the soil on the walls and in the corners.

5. Spray or pour the remaining water (8 oz or 240 ml) onto the bottom center of the oven cavity, ensuring the indentation is fully covered.

6. Close the oven door. Turn the oven mode knob to select EasyClean. Press START.

7. A tone will sound at the end of the 10-minute cycle. Turn the oven mode knob to the OFF position to clear the display.

8. After the cycle, clean the oven cavity immediately by scrubbing with a wet, non-scratch scouring sponge or pad.

9. Once the oven cavity is clean, wipe any excess water with a clean dry towel and replace the racks.

The Self Clean cycle uses extremely hot temperatures to clean the oven cavity and is intended for heavy, built-up soils. Ensure the kitchen is well-ventilated during the cycle.

Before Starting Self Clean:

• Remove all items from the oven, including racks, broiler pan, and any cookware or foil.

• Wipe up any heavy spillovers on the oven bottom.

Setting Self Clean:

1. Remove all racks and accessories from the oven.

2. Turn the oven mode knob to select Self Clean. The oven defaults to a four-hour cycle. Press the number buttons to select a different time (1 for 3 hours, 2 for 4 hours, 3 for 5 hours).

3. Press START.

4. The oven door will lock automatically, and the lock icon will display. You will not be able to open the door until the oven has cooled down after the cycle is complete. The lock releases automatically.

The oven light is a standard 40-watt appliance halogen lamp. Before replacing it, make sure the oven and lamp are cool and that electrical power to the range is disconnected.

1. Unplug the range or disconnect power at the main fuse or circuit breaker panel.

2. Turn the glass lamp cover in the back of the oven counterclockwise to remove it.

3. Remove the halogen lamp from the socket.

4. Insert the new halogen lamp.

5. Insert the glass lamp cover and turn it clockwise.

6. Plug in the range or reconnect the power.

No. Your LG LSES6338N oven has been factory tested and calibrated. For the first few uses, follow your recipe times and temperatures carefully. If you still think your new oven is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the oven temperature yourself to meet your specific cooking needs. This means that your LG LSES6338N has just been plugged in, or that it has experienced a power interruption. To clear the flashing time, touch any button and reset the clock if needed.

Never use aluminum foil to line the bottom or sides of the oven on your LG LSES6338N. The foil will melt and stick to the bottom surface of the oven and will not be removable. • Oven is too hot: If trying to start a function like Self Clean, the oven may be too hot. Allow the oven to cool to below the locking temperature.

Excessive smoking during broiling on your LG LSES6338N can be caused by several factors:

• Meat is too close to the element: Reposition the rack to provide proper clearance between the meat and the broil element.

• Meat not properly prepared: Remove excess fat from meat and cut remaining fatty edges to prevent curling.

The convection fan on your LG LSES6338N may stop during a convection bake cycle. This is done to allow for more even heating during the cycle. This is not a failure of the range and should be considered normal operation.

The oven door on your LG LSES6338N will not open after a Self Clean cycle if the oven is still too hot. The door is locked for safety during the high-temperature cycle.

• Allow about one hour for the oven to cool after the completion of a Self Clean cycle. The door can be opened when the lock icon is no longer displayed on the control panel.

This sound is caused by the metal heating and cooling during both the cooking and Self Clean functions. This is normal for the LG LSES6338N and is not a sign of a problem.
