• Do not use this apparatus near water.

• Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched.

• Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

• Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

• Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

• Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

• It is recommended that the TV be placed upon a dedicated circuit. Do not connect too many appliances to the same AC power outlet.

• Do not overload wall outlets. Overloaded, loose, or damaged wall outlets, extension cords, or frayed power cords are dangerous.

• Periodically examine the cord. If its appearance indicates damage or deterioration, unplug it and have it replaced by an authorized service.

• Protect the power cord from physical or mechanical abuse. Pay particular attention to plugs and wall outlets.

• Do not move the TV with the power cord plugged in. Do not use a damaged or loose power cord.

• Do not expose to dripping or splashing and do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases or cups, on or over the apparatus.

• Do not allow an impact shock or any objects to fall into the product, and do not drop anything onto the screen.

• Keep the packing anti-moisture material or vinyl packing out of the reach of children. It can be harmful if swallowed and can cause suffocation.

Cleaning:

When cleaning, unplug the power cord and wipe gently with a soft cloth to prevent scratching. Do not spray water or other liquids directly on the TV as electric shock may occur. Do not clean with chemicals such as alcohol, thinners, or benzine.

Moving:

Make sure the product is turned off, unplugged, and all cables have been removed. It may take 2 or more people to carry a large TV like the LG 60LM6450. Do not press or put stress on the front panel of the TV. When moving, keep the TV upright and do not expose it to jolts or excessive vibration.

• Install your TV where there is proper ventilation. Do not install in a confined space such as a bookcase.

• Do not cover the product with cloth or other materials while plugged in.

• Do not install in excessively dusty places.

• If you smell smoke or other odors coming from the TV, unplug the power cord and contact an authorized service center.

• Do not press strongly upon the panel with your hand or a sharp object. Do not make a scratch on it.

• Keep the product away from direct sunlight.

• Take care not to touch the ventilation openings. When watching the TV for a long period, the ventilation openings may become hot.

• If a fixed image displays on the TV screen for a long period of time, it will be imprinted and become a permanent disfigurement on the screen. This is “image burn” or “burn-in” and not covered by the warranty.

• Avoid displaying a fixed image on the TV screen for a long period of time (2 or more hours for LCD) to prevent image burn.

• If the aspect ratio of the TV is set to 4:3 for a long period of time, image burn may occur on the letterboxed area of the screen.

Viewing Environment:

• **Viewing Time:** When watching 3D content, take 5 – 15 minute breaks every hour. Viewing for a long period may cause headache, dizziness, fatigue, or eye strain.

• **Viewing Distance:** Maintain a distance of at least twice the screen diagonal length when watching 3D content.

Viewing Age:

• **Infants/Children:** Viewing 3D content for children under the age of 5 is prohibited. Children under 10 may overreact; special monitoring and extra attention is required.

• **Teenagers:** Teenagers under 19 may be stimulated by light from 3D videos. Advise them not to watch 3D videos for a long time when tired.

• **Elderly:** The elderly may perceive less of a 3D effect. Do not sit closer than the recommended distance.

Chronic Illnesses:

• Some users may experience a seizure when exposed to flashing lights or patterns from 3D content.

• Do not watch 3D videos if you feel nausea, are pregnant, or have a chronic illness such as epilepsy, cardiac disorder, or blood pressure disease.

• If you suffer from stereo blindness, strabismus (cross-eyed), amblyopia (weak eyesight), or astigmatism, you may have trouble sensing depth and feel fatigue. Take frequent breaks.

When to Stop Watching:

• Do not watch 3D content when you feel fatigued from lack of sleep, overwork, or drinking.

• If you experience symptoms like headache, eyeball pain, dizziness, nausea, blurriness, or discomfort, stop watching and rest until the symptom subsides. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist.

• Make sure to use LG 3D glasses. Otherwise, you may not be able to view 3D videos properly.

• Do not use 3D glasses instead of your normal glasses, sunglasses, or protective goggles.

• Using modified 3D glasses may cause eye strain or image distortion.

• Do not keep your 3D glasses in extremely high or low temperatures, as it will cause deformation.

• The 3D glasses are fragile and easy to scratch. Always use a soft, clean cloth when wiping the lenses. Do not scratch the lenses with sharp objects or clean/wipe them with chemicals.

1. Open the package and make sure all the accessories are included.

2. Attach the stand to the TV set.

3. Connect an external device to the TV set.

4. Make sure the network connection is available. You can use the TV network functions only when the network connection is made.

1. When attaching the stand, place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches.

2. Assemble the Stand Body and Stand Base.

3. Attach the assembled stand to the TV set using the provided screws (4 EA, M4 x 20).

4. Tighten the screws firmly to prevent the TV from tilting forward.

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the original box or packing material.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• When transporting a large TV, there should be at least 2 people.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• Keep the TV upright during transport; never turn it on its side or tilt it.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (4 inches) minimum space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. To prevent the TV from falling over, it should be securely attached to the floor/wall. You can secure the TV to a table by connecting Desk-mount Cables from the stand base to the table using the provided screws.

4. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

Note: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

Attach an optional wall mount bracket at the rear of the TV carefully and install it on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer.

• Disconnect the power first before moving or installing the TV.

• Use an authorized LG wall mount and contact your local dealer or qualified personnel.

• Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Any damages or injuries from misuse are not covered by the warranty.

The LG 60LM6450 uses the following VESA standard:

1. Gather and bind the cables with the provided cable holder.

2. Fix the cable management clip firmly to the TV to organize the cables neatly.

Caution: Do not move the TV by holding the cable holder, as it may break and cause injury or damage to the TV.

Your LG 60LM6450 TV can connect to various external devices. Here are the common connection methods:

• **Antenna or Cable:** Connect the antenna or cable line to the ANTENNA/CABLE IN port.

• **HDMI:** This is the best way to connect a device. It transmits digital video and audio signals. Use a High Speed HDMI™ Cable to connect your HD receiver, DVD/Blu-Ray player, or other device to any of the HDMI IN ports. Port HDMI IN 1 supports ARC (Audio Return Channel).

• **DVI to HDMI:** To connect a device with a DVI output, use a DVI-to-HDMI cable for video. You will need a separate audio cable connected to the (RGB/HDMI-PC) AUDIO IN port for sound.

• **Component:** Transmits analog video and audio. Connect the green, blue, and red video cables and the red and white audio cables from your device to the corresponding COMPONENT IN ports on the TV.

• **Composite (AV):** Transmits analog video and audio. Connect the yellow video cable and the red and white audio cables from your device to the corresponding AV IN ports on the TV.

• **PC:** You can connect a PC via HDMI (recommended), DVI-to-HDMI, or RGB (VGA).

• **Digital Optical Audio Out:** To use an external audio system, connect it to the OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT port using an optical audio cable.

• **USB:** Connect a USB storage device to one of the USB IN ports to access multimedia files.

First, you must register the Magic Remote Control by pairing it with your TV. Press the **Wheel (OK)** button on the remote control to register it.

Key Functions:

• **Pointer:** An on-screen pointer appears when you shake the remote. Move the remote to move the pointer.

• **Wheel (OK):** Press to select menus or options. Scroll the wheel to move through saved channels.

• **Navigation Buttons (up/down/left/right):** Scrolls through menus or options. If you press a navigation button while the pointer is on screen, the pointer disappears and the remote works like a standard remote.

• **BACK:** Returns to the previous level.

• **HOME:** Accesses the Home menu.

• **3D:** Used for viewing 3D video.

• **MY APPS/Q.MENU:** Shows the list of Apps or accesses the quick menu.

If registration fails or you need to re-register, press and hold the **BACK** and **HOME** buttons together for 5 seconds to reset it, then try registering again.

1. Connect the power cord to a power outlet.

2. In Standby mode, press the power button on the remote control to turn the TV on. The Initial Setting screen will appear.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to customize your TV settings:

• **Language Selection:** Select a language for the menus.

• **Using the Magic remote control:** Instructions for setting up the remote.

• **Environment Selection:** Select **Home** for the home environment. (Store mode is for retail display).

• **Time Zone Setting:** Select your time zone.

• **Network Connection:** Set up your network to enable smart features.

• **Auto Tuning:** Scans and saves available channels automatically.

• **Auto Energy Saving mode Setting:** Selects the energy saving mode.

• **3D-On-Start Setting:** Selects the 3D start option.

4. When the basic settings are complete, press the **Wheel (OK)** button.

The User Guide allows you to more easily access detailed TV information.

1. Press the **HOME** button on the remote control to access the HOME menu.

2. Select **User Guide** and press the **Wheel (OK)** button.

Within the User Guide:

• You can select a category and then an item to read its description.

• Use the scroll wheel or up/down buttons to move between pages.

• You can select **Try Now** to move directly to the described menu from the guide.

• You can use the **Zoom** function to make the text larger or smaller.

Clean your TV regularly to keep the best performance and to extend the product lifespan.

CAUTION: Make sure to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord and all other cables first.

Screen, frame, cabinet and stand:

• To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

• To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

• Do not push, rub, or hit the surface with your fingernail or a sharp object.

• Do not use any chemicals, such as waxes, benzene, alcohol, thinners, insecticides, air fresheners, or lubricants, as these may damage the screen’s finish and cause discoloration.

• Do not spray liquid onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

Power cord:

• Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.

• Flat panel displays are not always supported on the proper stands or installed according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Displays that are inappropriately situated on dressers, bookcases, shelves, desks, speakers, chests or carts may fall over and cause injury.

• Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for the safe installation and use of your flat panel display.

• Don’t allow children to climb on or play with furniture and television sets.

• Don’t place flat panel displays on furniture that can easily be used as steps, such as a chest of drawers.

• Care should be taken to place or install the display where it cannot be pushed, pulled over, or knocked down.

• Route all cords and cables so that they cannot be pulled or grabbed by curious children.

If you decide to wall mount your flat panel display, use a recommended mount, follow all instructions, and ensure the wall is appropriate for mounting. A minimum of two people are required for installation as flat panel displays can be heavy.

Video, which is input as below media contents, is switched into the 3D screen automatically.
