To attach the stand to your LG 60LB561U-ZE, please follow these steps. Note that the image shown in the manual may differ from your specific TV model.

1. Place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface. This is important to protect the screen from scratches.

2. Assemble the stand parts (Stand Base and Stand Base A) as shown in the manual’s diagrams.

3. Align the assembled stand with the mounting holes on the back of the TV.

4. Insert and tighten the provided screws to secure the stand to the TV. For models like the 60LB56**, you should use four M4 x L14 screws.

To connect your LG 60LB561U-ZE to a wall antenna socket, use an RF cable (75 Ω).

Notes:

• To use more than two TVs, use a signal splitter.

• If the image quality is poor, install a signal amplifier properly to improve it.

• If the image quality is poor with an antenna connected, try to realign the antenna in the correct direction.

• An antenna cable and converter are not supplied with the TV.

• The supported DTV Audio formats are MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and HE-AAC.

If your LG 60LB561U-ZE is a satellite model, connect the TV to a satellite dish to a satellite socket using a satellite RF cable (75 Ω). Connect the cable to the “LNB Satellite IN” port on the back of the TV.

The Euro Scart connection on your LG 60LB561U-ZE transmits video and audio signals from an external device to the TV set. Connect the external device and the TV with a Euro Scart cable.

• In PC mode, noise may be associated with resolution, vertical pattern, contrast, or brightness. If noise is present, change the PC output to another resolution, change the refresh rate, or adjust the brightness and contrast on the PICTURE menu until the picture is clear.

• In PC mode, some resolution settings may not work properly depending on the graphics card.

You can operate the TV functions by pressing or moving the joystick button located below the TV screen.

Basic Functions:

• Power On: When the TV is off, place your finger on the joystick button and press it once and release it.

• Power Off: When the TV is on, press and hold the joystick button for a few seconds and release it. (If the Menu button is on the screen, this action will exit the Menu.)

• Volume Control: Move the joystick left or right to adjust the volume.

• Programmes Control: Move the joystick up or down to scroll through saved programmes.

Adjusting the Menu:

When the TV is on, press the joystick button once to access the menu. You can then adjust items by moving the joystick up, down, left, or right.

• Turns the power off.

• Settings: Accesses the main menu.

• Close: Clears on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing.

• Input List: Changes the input source.

To prevent your LG 60LB561U-ZE from being scratched or damaged and for safe transportation, please follow this advice:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the box or packing material that it originally came in.

• Before moving or lifting, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (minimum) space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

CAUTION: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

This feature may not be available for all models. To secure the TV to a wall:

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts, on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt position, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket and the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface.

CAUTION: Make sure that children do not climb on or hang on the TV.

NOTE: Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely. Brackets, bolts, and ropes are not provided. You can obtain additional accessories from your local dealer.

LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer. Attach an optional wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV and install it on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor.

• First, disconnect the power, then move or install the TV to avoid electric shock.

• If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury. Use an authorized LG wall mount.

• Do not over-tighten the screws as this may cause damage and void your warranty.

• Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Any damages or injuries from misuse are not covered by the warranty.

To select a picture mode optimized for your viewing environment or programme, go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode.

• Vivid: Heightens contrast, brightness, and sharpness to display vivid images.

• Standard: Displays images in standard levels of contrast, brightness, and sharpness.

• Eco/APS: The Energy Saver feature changes settings on the TV to reduce power consumption.

• Cinema/Game: Displays the optimum picture for movies or games.

• Sports: Optimizes the video image for high and dynamic actions by emphasizing primary colours such as white, grass, or sky blue.

• Expert 1, 2: Menu for adjusting picture quality that allows experts and amateurs to enjoy the best TV viewing. This is the adjustment menu provided for ISF-certified picture tuning professionals.

To calibrate the screen for each picture mode or adjust settings for a special screen, go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode → Advanced Control / Expert Control. First, select a Picture Mode, then adjust the following:

• Dynamic Contrast: Adjusts the contrast to the optimal level according to the image brightness.

• Dynamic Colour: Adjusts colours to make the image appear more natural.

• Skin Colour: Sets the skin colour spectrum separately.

• Sky Colour: Sets the sky colour separately.

• Grass Colour: Sets the natural colour spectrum for areas like meadows and hills.

• Gamma: Sets the gradation curve.

• Colour Gamut: Selects the range of colours that can be expressed.

• Edge Enhancer: Shows clearer and more distinctive yet natural edges of the video.

• Colour Filter: Filters a specific colour spectrum in RGB colours to fine-tune colour saturation and hue.

• Colour Temperature: Adjusts the overall tone of the screen.

• Colour Management System: A system for experts to adjust colour with a test pattern, selecting from six colour areas (Red/Green/Blue/Cyan/Magenta/Yellow).

You can adjust detailed settings for images by navigating to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode → Picture Option.

• Noise Reduction: Eliminates noise in the picture.

• MPEG Noise Reduction: Eliminates noise generated while creating digital picture signals.

• Black Level: Adjusts the brightness and contrast of the screen to suit the black level of the input picture.

• Real Cinema: Optimizes the screen for movie viewing.

• Motion Eye Care/SUPER Energy Saving: Saves power consumption by adjusting the brightness corresponding to the movement of the image on the screen.

The Energy Saving feature reduces power consumption by adjusting screen brightness. Access it via SETTINGS → PICTURE → Energy Saving.

• Auto: The TV sensor detects the ambient lighting and automatically adjusts the screen brightness.

• Off: Turns off the Energy Saving mode.

• Minimum / Medium / Maximum: Applies the pre-set Energy Saving mode.

• Screen Off: The screen is turned off and only sound is played. Press any button except the Power button on the remote control to turn the screen back on.

You can select where the sound is outputted from your LG 60LB561U-ZE.

• To use the TV speaker: Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → TV Speaker. Sound will be output through the TV’s speakers.

• To use an External Speaker (Optical): Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → External Speaker (Optical). Sound is output through the speaker connected to the optical port. SimpLink is supported.

• To use a Headphone: Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → Headphone. Sound is output through the headphone connected to the earphone/headphone port.

• To connect an LG audio device (Optical): Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → LG Sound Sync (Optical). Connect an LG audio device to the optical digital audio output port for rich, powerful sound.

If video and audio are not matched, you can synchronize them directly. Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → AV Sync. Adjust. If you set AV Sync. Adjust to ON, you can adjust the sound output (TV speakers or SPDIF) to the screen image.

SIMPLINK is a feature that enables you to control and manage various multimedia devices conveniently via the SIMPLINK menu.

1. Connect the TV’s HDMI IN terminal and the SIMPLINK device’s HDMI output terminal using a high-speed HDMI® cable (with CEC feature added).

2. Select INPUT(OPTION) → SIMPLINK. The SIMPLINK menu window will appear.

3. In the SIMPLINK Setting window, set the SIMPLINK function to ON.

4. In the SIMPLINK menu window, select the device you want to control.

SIMPLINK function descriptions:

• Direct Play: Plays the multimedia device on the TV instantly.

• Select multimedia device: Selects the desired device via the SIMPLINK menu to control it.

• Disc playback: Manages the multimedia device with the TV remote control.

• Power off all devices: When you power off the TV, all connected devices are turned off.

• Sync Power on: When equipment with SIMPLINK starts to play, the TV will automatically turn on.

• Speaker: Select the speaker on either the home theatre unit or the TV.

To set or change the TV password, go to SETTINGS → LOCK → Set Password. The initial password is set to ‘0000’.

To delete all stored information and reset the TV settings, go to SETTINGS → OPTION → Factory Reset. The TV will turn itself off and back on, and all settings will be reset.

• When the Lock System is in place, a pop-up window will appear and ask for the password.

• Do not turn off the power during initialization.

To remove a USB storage device, first select it in the menu. Go to Q.MENU → USB Device. Select the device you want to remove. When you see a message that the USB device has been removed, you can separate the device from the TV. Once a USB device has been selected for removal, it can no longer be read until it is re-connected.

• If the USB storage device has a built-in auto recognition program or uses its own driver, it may not work.

• Some USB storage devices may not work or may work incorrectly.

• Use only USB storage devices formatted with the Windows FAT32 or NTFS File System.

• For external USB HDDs, it is recommended that you use devices with a rated voltage of less than 5 V and a rated current of less than 500 mA.

• It is recommended that you use USB memory sticks of 32 GB or less and USB HDDs of 1 TB or less.

• If a USB HDD with a power-saving function does not work properly, turn the power off and on. For more information, refer to the user manual of the USB HDD.

• Data in the USB storage device can be damaged, so be sure to back up important files to other devices. Data maintenance is the user’s responsibility.

• Make sure to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord and all other cables first.

Screen, frame, cabinet and stand:

• To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

• To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• Do not push, rub, or hit the screen surface with your fingernail or a sharp object.

• Do not use any chemicals as this may damage the product.

• Do not spray liquid onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

Power cord:

• Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and properly installed (positive to positive, negative to negative).

• Check if the product is turned on.
