How do I choose and install a Wall Mounting Bracket?
• Use an optional wall mount that meets the VESA standard compatible with your TV model. Consult your dealer.
• Carefully attach the wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV.
• Install the bracket on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. Contact qualified personnel if attaching to other materials.
• Follow the detailed instructions included with the wall mount.
• An LG brand wall mount is recommended for ease of adjustment and cable connection.
• If not using an LG mount, ensure the chosen bracket secures the TV adequately with enough space for external device connectivity.
• If using a non-adjustable mount, attach it to the wall first, then connect cables to the TV before attaching the TV to the mount.
• Remove the stand before installing the TV on a wall mount.
• If you intend to mount the product to a wall, attach the VESA standard mounting interface (optional parts) to the back of the product first. Fix it carefully to avoid dropping.
• Ensure not to install the TV by hanging the power and signal cables on the back.
• Do not install on a wall where it could be exposed to oil or oil mist.
• When installing the wall mounting bracket, it is recommended to cover the stand hole using tape to prevent dust and insects (Depending upon model).

What should I know about connecting USB devices?
• Some USB Hubs may not work. If a USB device connected through a hub is not detected, connect it directly to the USB port on the TV.
• It is recommended to use a USB hub or USB HDD with its own power supply, as the TV’s USB port might not supply sufficient power for some devices.
• It is recommended to use an external USB HDD with a rated voltage of 5 V or less and a rated current of 500 mA or less.
How do I connect external devices like Blu-ray players or PCs?
• Supported external devices include Blu-ray players, HD receivers, DVD players, VCRs, audio systems, USB storage devices, PCs, gaming devices, etc.
• Connect external devices to the appropriate ports on the TV (e.g., HDMI, USB, Optical Audio Out). The order of connecting usually doesn’t matter, but complete connections before plugging in power.
• Use the cable supplied with a gaming device when connecting it to the TV.
• Refer to the external equipment’s manual for operating instructions.
• In PC mode (via HDMI), noise might occur depending on resolution, pattern, contrast, or brightness. If noise is present, try changing the PC output resolution or refresh rate, or adjust the TV’s brightness and contrast in the [Picture] menu until clear.
• When connecting via a wired LAN, using a CAT 7 cable is recommended (Depending upon model).

4: COMMON
5: AUDIO OUT
6: CHAN DOWN
How do I connect External Speakers?
• Connect external speakers using the appropriate output port on the TV, such as EXTERNAL SPEAKER OUT, SPEAKER OUT LINE OUT, or AUDIO LINE OUT.
• Use only a 3-pole 3.5 mm stereo jack for connections requiring it.
• Do not connect headphones or earphones to the port designated for connecting an external speaker.
• Some models may have a VOLUME CONTROL port for external speaker systems, often using GND/UP/DOWN signals via a stereo jack.
How do I set up a Wired Network Connection?
1. Connect the LAN port of your Modem or Router (from the Pro:Centric server) to the LAN port on the TV using a network cable (CAT 7 recommended).
2. (Optional, Depending upon model) Connect the LAN port of a PC to the AUX LAN port on the TV.
• After making the physical connection, the TV needs to be set up for network communication within its settings menus.
• Do not connect a modular phone cable to the LAN port.
• Follow the specifications of your telecommunication carrier or internet service provider, as connection methods vary.
How do I use the button on the TV?
• Press the button once to turn the Power On.
• Press and hold the button to turn the Power Off (This will close all running apps).
Troubleshooting: Cannot control the TV with the remote control.
• Check if anything, such as tape, has been placed over the remote control receiver on the TV.
• Check if there is any obstacle between the TV (product) and the remote control.
• Replace the batteries in the remote control with new fresh ones.
Troubleshooting: No image display and no sound is produced.
• Check if the product (TV) is turned on.
• Check if the power cord is connected securely to a wall outlet.
• Check if there is a problem in the wall outlet by connecting other products to it.

• Turn the TV off and then on again using the remote control.
• Reconnect the HDMI cable between the PC and the TV.
• Restart the PC with the TV turned on and connected.
Troubleshooting: Abnormal Display issues (flicker, spots, image sticking).
• If the TV feels cold, a small flicker might occur when turned on. This is normal.
• Some minute dot defects (tiny red, green, or blue spots) may be visible. These are deactivated pixels and do not affect the TV’s performance or reliability. This panel contains millions of pixels.
• Avoid touching the LCD screen or holding your finger(s) against it for long periods, as this may cause temporary distortion effects.
• Displaying a still image for a prolonged period may cause image sticking (burn-in). Avoid displaying a fixed image on the TV screen for an extended length of time.
Troubleshooting: Generated Sound issues (cracking, humming/buzzing).
• Cracking noise: This occurs when watching or turning off the TV and is generated by plastic thermal contraction due to temperature and humidity. It’s common for products requiring thermal deformation and does not indicate a fault.
• Electrical circuit humming/panel buzzing: A low-level noise is generated from a high-speed switching circuit supplying current to operate the product. It varies depending on the product. This generated sound does not affect the performance or reliability of the product.

Refer to subsequent command descriptions for DATA values.
What is the RS-232C transmission protocol format?
The format is `(Command1)(Command2)( )([Set ID])( )([Data])(Cr)`.
• (Command 1): First command (j, k, m, or x).
• (Command 2): Second command.
• ( ): Space (ASCII code ‘0 x 20’).
• ([Set ID]): Target monitor ID (1 to 99 decimal, 0x0 to 0x63 hex). Set ID ‘0’ controls all connected sets. Some models support up to 1000 (0x3E8 hex).
• ([Data]): Command data. Use ‘FF’ to read status.
• (Cr): Carriage Return (ASCII code ‘0 x 0D’).
What is the format for an OK Acknowledgement (ACK)?
The format is `(Command2)()([Set ID])()(OK)([Data])(x)`.
• If the original command was a read request, [Data] contains the current status.
• If the original command was a write request, [Data] returns the data sent by the PC.
• (x): This represents the end-of-transmission character, typically STX or ETX, depending on the specific implementation, though not explicitly defined here as ASCII.
What is the format for an Error Acknowledgement (NG)?
The format is `(Command2)()([Set ID])()(NG)([Data])(x)`.
• This is sent when receiving abnormal data, non-viable functions, or communication errors.
• Data 00: Indicates Illegal Code.
• (x): End-of-transmission character.

What should I do if my remote control uses a non-recommended IR format?
If you use a remote-controller with data formats not recommended, the IR output signals might be suppressed automatically by the TV’s IR receiver. LG does not guarantee IR working function in this case. To ensure functionality:
• Use a remote-controller with suitable data formats (NEC, Toshiba Full Repeat, Philips RC5/RC6, Zenith).
• Alternatively, use the IR dongle receiver of the set-top box.

• NEVER place a television in an unstable location.
• NEVER place the television on tall furniture (like cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the television to a suitable support.
• NEVER place the television on cloth or other materials between the television and supporting furniture.
