Please follow these steps to attach the stand to your LG 55LF5950:

1. Place the TV screen face down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches.

2. Align the two stands with the mounting holes on the bottom of the TV.

3. Insert and tighten the four provided screws (labeled ‘b’, size M4 x L14) to secure the stands to the TV.

4. Carefully lift the TV into its upright position.

To install batteries in the remote control for your LG 55LF5950, please follow these steps:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.

2. Press the latch and slide the battery cover off.

3. Insert two AAA (1.5V) batteries, making sure to match the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ ends of the batteries with the labels inside the compartment.

4. Slide the battery cover back on until it clicks into place.

To remove the batteries, perform the installation steps in reverse.

After connecting all necessary devices, you can use the supplied cable management tie to bundle the cables together neatly behind the TV. This helps to keep the area organized and prevents cables from hanging messily.

The LG 55LF5950 has various ports to connect external devices. The ports are located on the side and back of the TV.

Side Panel Ports:

You can operate the basic functions of your LG 55LF5950 using the joystick button located on the bottom of the TV.

Basic Functions:

• Power On: When the TV is off, press the joystick button once and release it.

• SLEEP: Sets the length of time until the TV turns off.

• SAP: Enables Secondary Audio Program (SAP).

• Control buttons (Play, Pause, etc.): Controls SIMPLINK compatible devices.

• Color buttons: Access special functions in some menus.

If your LG 55LF5950 came with a Magic Remote, you must first pair it with your TV.

How to register the Magic Remote:

1. Put batteries into the Magic Remote and turn the TV on.

2. Point the Magic Remote at your TV and press the Wheel (OK) button.

If the TV fails to register, try again after turning the TV off and back on.

How to deregister the Magic Remote:

Press the BACK and Home buttons at the same time for five seconds to unpair the Magic Remote.

How to use the Magic Remote:

• Shake the remote slightly to the right and left to make the pointer appear on the screen.

• The pointer will disappear if it’s not used for a period of time or is placed on a flat surface.

• If the pointer is not moving as you wish, shake the remote to re-center it.

• Use the pointer to click on menu items and the scroll wheel to navigate channels or web pages.

• The remote has buttons for Power, Input, Home, Back, Quick Settings, and more. It also features voice recognition for searching content.

Precautions:

• Use the remote within 10 meters (32.8 ft) of the TV.

• Devices like microwave ovens and wireless LANs operate in the same frequency band (2.4 GHz) and may cause communication failures.

• Keep wireless routers more than 1 meter (3.28 ft) away from the TV.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a sturdy, stable table.

2. For proper ventilation, ensure there is a minimum of 10 cm (4 inches) of space between the back, top, and sides of the TV and the wall.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

Caution: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

To secure the TV to a wall and prevent it from falling, you can use eye-bolts and brackets (optional accessories not included).

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts, on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the VESA mounting holes, remove them first.

2. Mount wall brackets (not supplied) with bolts to the wall. The location of the wall brackets should correspond to the location of the eye-bolts on the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts on the TV and the wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope or cable. Make sure the rope is kept parallel to the flat surface.

Caution: Ensure children do not climb on or hang on the TV.

To mount your LG 55LF5950 on a wall, you must use a wall mount that meets the VESA standard.

Important Cautions:

2. To remove dust or light dirt from the screen, frame, cabinet, and stand, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

3. To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Immediately wipe it dry with a clean, dry cloth.

CAUTION:

• Do not push, rub, or hit the surface with your fingernail or a sharp object.

• Do not use chemicals such as waxes, benzene, alcohol, thinners, or insecticides, as these may damage the screen’s finish.

• Do not spray liquid directly onto the TV surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

To prevent the TV from being scratched or damaged and for safe transportation, follow these guidelines:

• It is recommended to move the TV in the original box or packing material it came in.

• Before moving or lifting, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• Use at least two people to move a large TV.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grille area.

• When transporting the TV, keep it upright. Never turn the TV on its side or tilt it.

• Avoid exposing the TV to jolts or excessive vibration during transport.

CAUTION:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may cause damage.

• Do not place the product on the floor with its front facing down without padding, as this may damage the screen.

If a fixed image is displayed on the screen of your LG 55LF5950 for a long period, it can become imprinted and cause a permanent disfigurement known as image burn or burn-in. To prevent this:

• Avoid displaying a fixed image on the TV screen for a long period of time (2 or more hours for an LCD screen).

• If the aspect ratio is set to 4:3 for a long period, image burn may occur on the letterboxed areas of the screen. Avoid using this aspect ratio for extended periods.

The LG 55LF5950 qualifies for ENERGY STAR in its factory default (Home Configuration) setting. Changing the factory default settings or enabling other features may increase power consumption. This increased consumption could exceed the limits necessary to qualify for ENERGY STAR.
