To attach the stand to your LG 55LB561U-ZE TV, please follow these steps. Note that the image shown in your manual may differ from your TV.

1. Place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches.

2. Assemble the stand parts (Stand Base and Stand Base Body) to the TV set.

3. Secure the TV and stand by fastening the screws provided. The screw type and quantity depend on your specific model series:

For LB55**, LB56**-ZE / ZC, LB62**-ZA / ZB models:

Use 4 screws of type M4 x L14 (for 42/49LB55**, 39/42/47/50/55/60LB56**, 42/49/55LB62** models) or M4 x L20 (for 32LB55**, 32LB56**-ZE / ZC, 32LB62**-ZA / ZB models).

For LB56**-ZT / ZQ, LB62**-ZE models:

Use 4 screws of type M4 x L14 (for 42/49LB55**, 39/42/47/50/55/60LB56**, 42/49/55LB62** models) or M4 x L20 (for 32LB56**-ZT / ZQ, 32LB62**-ZE models).

To connect your LG 55LB561U-ZE TV to a wall antenna socket, use a 75 Ω RF cable. The antenna cable and converter are not supplied.

Notes:

• To use more than 2 TVs, a signal splitter is required.

• If the image quality is poor, install a signal amplifier to improve it.

• If the image quality is poor with an antenna connected, try realigning the antenna in the correct direction.

• Supported DTV Audio formats are: MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, HE-AAC.

For satellite models of the LG 55LB561U-ZE, connect the TV to a satellite dish to a satellite socket using a satellite RF cable (75 Ω). The cable is not provided.

You can transmit video and audio signals from an external device to your LG 55LB561U-ZE TV using a Euro Scart cable. Connect the external device and the TV set with the Euro Scart cable as shown in your manual. Ensure any Euro Scart cable used is signal shielded. For 3D models, when watching digital TV in 3D imaging mode, only 2D out signals can be output through the SCART cable.

When connecting external devices like HD receivers, DVD players, VCRs, audio systems, USB storage devices, PCs, or gaming devices to your LG 55LB561U-ZE TV, please follow these guidelines:

• The external device connection may differ from the model.

• Connect external devices to the TV regardless of the order of the TV port.

• If you record a TV programme on a DVD recorder or VCR, ensure the TV signal input cable is connected to the TV through the DVD recorder or VCR. Refer to the manual of the connected device for more information on recording.

• Refer to the external equipment’s manual for operating instructions.

• When connecting a gaming device, use the cable supplied with it.

• In PC mode, noise may be associated with the resolution, vertical pattern, contrast, or brightness. If noise is present, change the PC output to another resolution, change the refresh rate, or adjust the brightness and contrast on the PICTURE menu until the picture is clear.

• In PC mode, some resolution settings may not work properly depending on the graphics card.

• For an optimal connection, HDMI cables and USB devices should have bezels less than 10 mm thick and 18 mm wide. Use an extension cable that supports USB 2.0 if the USB cable or USB memory stick does not fit into your TV’s USB port.

You can operate the TV functions by pressing or moving the joystick button located below the TV screen.

Basic Functions:

• Power On: When the TV is off, place your finger on the joystick button, press it once, and release it.

• Power Off: When the TV is on, press and hold the joystick button for a few seconds and release. (If the Menu is on screen, this action will exit the Menu).

• Volume Control: Move the joystick left or right to adjust the volume.

• Programmes Control: Move the joystick up or down to scroll through saved programmes.

Adjusting the Menu:

When the TV is on, press the joystick button once. You can then adjust Menu items by moving the joystick up, down, left, or right.

• TV off: Turns the power off.

• Settings: Accesses the main menu.

• Close: Clears on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing.

• Input List: Changes the input source.

To prevent your LG 55LB561U-ZE TV from being scratched or damaged and to ensure safe transportation, please follow this advice:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may damage it.

• It is recommended to move the TV in its original box or packing material.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• When transporting a large TV, at least 2 people are required.

• Hold the TV as shown in the manual’s illustration when transporting by hand.

• Do not expose the TV to jolts or excessive vibration during transport.

• Keep the TV upright; never turn it on its side or tilt it left or right.

• Do not apply excessive pressure to the frame chassis as it may cause flexing and damage the screen.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (minimum) space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

CAUTION: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

To secure your LG 55LB561U-ZE TV to a wall to prevent it from falling (this feature is not available for all models):

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts, on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt position, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with the bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket and the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface.

Note: Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely. Brackets, bolts, and ropes are not provided; you can obtain these from your local dealer.

To mount your LG 55LB561U-ZE TV on a wall, LG recommends that the installation be performed by a qualified professional installer. Use an authorized LG wall mount and contact your local dealer or qualified personnel.

1. Disconnect the power first, then move or install the TV. Otherwise, an electric shock may occur.

2. Attach the optional wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV carefully.

3. Install the wall mount bracket on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor.

4. Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Do not over-tighten the screws, as this may cause damage and void your warranty. Any damages or injuries from misuse are not covered.

The standard dimensions for wall mount kits are as follows:

To use the remote control, first install the batteries (1.5 V AAA). Open the battery cover, match the + and – ends, and close the cover. Do not mix old and new batteries. Always point the remote control toward the sensor on the TV.

Button Functions:

• POWER: Turns the TV on or off.

• TV/RAD: Selects Radio, TV and DTV programme.

• SUBTITLE: Recalls your preferred subtitle in digital mode.

• AD: By pressing the AD button, audio descriptions function will be enabled.

• RATIO: Resizes an image.

• INPUT: Changes the input source.

• Number buttons: Enters numbers.

• LIST: Accesses the saved programme list.

• Q.VIEW: Returns to the previously viewed programme.

• +/-: Adjusts the volume level.

• FAV: Accesses your favourite programme list.

• GUIDE: Shows programme guide.

• MUTE: Mutes all sounds.

• P (up/down): Scrolls through the saved programmes.

• PAGE: Moves to the previous or next screen.

• Teletext buttons (TEXT / T.OPT): Used for teletext.

• INFO: Views the information of the current programme and screen.

• SETTINGS: Accesses the main menus.

• Q.MENU: Accesses the Quick menus.

• Navigation buttons (up/down/left/right): Scrolls through menus or options.

• OK: Selects menus or options and confirms your input.

• BACK: Returns to the previous level.

• EXIT: Clears on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing.

• AV MODE: Selects an AV mode.

• REC: Starts to record and displays record menu. (Only Time MachineReady supported model)

• Control buttons: Controls MY MEDIA menus, Time MachineReady control or SIMPLINK compatible devices.

• Colour buttons: Access special functions in some menus (Red, Green, Yellow, Blue).

To automatically tune the programmes on your LG 55LB561U-ZE TV, go to SETTINGS > SETUP > Auto Tuning. This will automatically tune the available programmes.

• If the Input Source is not connected properly, programme registration may not work.

• Auto Tuning only finds programmes that are currently broadcasting.

• If the Lock System is turned on, a pop-up window will appear asking for a password.

To calibrate and adjust for optimum picture quality, go to SETTINGS > PICTURE > Picture Wizard III. This feature allows you to adjust the picture quality using the remote control without needing expensive pattern devices.

To select a picture mode optimized for your viewing environment or programme, navigate to SETTINGS > PICTURE > Picture Mode. The available modes are:

• Vivid: Heightens contrast, brightness, and sharpness for vivid images.

• Standard: Displays images in standard levels of contrast, brightness, and sharpness.

• Eco/APS: The Energy Saver feature changes settings to reduce power consumption (Depending on model).

• Cinema/Game: Displays the optimum picture for movies and games.

• Sports: Optimizes the video image for high and dynamic actions by emphasizing primary colours like white, grass, or sky blue.

• Expert 1, 2: A menu for adjusting picture quality that allows experts to enjoy the best TV viewing. This is an adjustment menu provided for ISF-certified picture tuning professionals. (ISF logo can only be used on ISF-certified TVs.) ISFccc: Imaging Science Foundation Certified Calibration Control.

If you experience issues with your LG 55LB561U-ZE TV, refer to the following solutions:

Problem: Cannot control the TV with the remote control.

Solution:

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and properly installed.

Problem: No image display and no sound is produced.

Solution:

• Check if the product is turned on.

• Check if the power cord is connected to a wall outlet.

• Check if there is a problem in the wall outlet by connecting other products.

Problem: The TV turns off suddenly.

Solution:

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may be interrupted.

• Check if the Automatic Standby / Sleep Timer / Off Time feature is activated in the TIME settings.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, it will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Problem: When connecting to the PC (HDMI), ‘No signal’ or ‘Invalid Format’ is displayed.

Solution:

• Turn the TV off/on using the remote control.

• Reconnect the HDMI cable.

• Restart the PC with the TV on.

For 3D models of the LG 55LB561U-ZE series, the TV will automatically switch to the 3D screen for certain media content. If it does not switch automatically, you may need to convert the settings manually. The playable 3D video formats depend on the input source:
