The ferrite core is used to reduce electromagnetic interference in various cables. Follow these steps based on the number of ferrite cores supplied with your LG 50PZ25:

1. For the PC audio cable: Wind the PC audio cable on the ferrite core three times. Place the ferrite core close to the TV.

2. For the power cable (near the TV): Wind the power cable on the ferrite core once. Place this ferrite core close to the TV.

3. For the power cable (near the wall plug): Wind the power cable on the ferrite core once. Place this ferrite core close to the TV and the wall plug.

4. For the LAN cable: Wind the LAN cable once on the small ferrite core and three times on the big ferrite core. Place the ferrite core close to the TV.

• If there are three ferrite cores, follow as shown for the PC audio cable and both power cable instructions.

• If there are four ferrite cores, follow as shown for the PC audio cable, power cable (near TV), and the small LAN cable core.

• If there are five ferrite cores, follow as shown for the PC audio cable, both power cable instructions, and the small LAN cable core.

• If there are six ferrite cores, follow as shown for the PC audio cable, both power cable instructions, and both LAN cable cores.

Your LG 50PZ25 uses touch buttons. The functions are as follows:

Additionally, the TV has a Remote control and intelligent sensor which adjusts the image quality corresponding to the surrounding environment, and a Power Indicator light that is red in standby mode and off when the TV is on.

To prevent your LG 50PZ25 from being scratched or damaged and for safe transportation, please follow these guidelines:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage to the screen or pixels.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the box or packing material that it originally came in.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to prevent scratches.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• When transporting a large TV, there should be at least 2 people.

• When transporting the TV by hand, hold it as shown in the illustrations in the manual.

• Do not expose the TV to jolts or excessive vibration.

• Keep the TV upright; never turn it on its side or tilt it towards the left or right.

To attach the stand to your LG 50PZ25, follow these steps:

1. Lay the TV with the screen side down on a flat surface. Use a foam mat or soft protective cloth on the surface to protect the screen from damage.

2. Assemble the parts of the Stand Body with the Stand Base of the TV.

3. Secure the TV and the stand with the 4 screws provided.

Tighten the screws firmly to prevent the TV from tilting forward, but do not over tighten.

If you are not using the desk stand, for example when wall-mounting the TV, you should cover the opening at the bottom of the TV.

• Push the supplied protection cover into the opening at the bottom of the TV until it locks in place.

• Attach the protection cover tape.

This will protect the opening from accumulating dust and dirt. When installing a wall mounting bracket, use the Protection cover.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (minimum) space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire.

To prevent the TV from tipping or falling over, you should securely attach it to a wall.

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt position, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with the bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket with the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface.

Ensure you use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely, and make sure that children do not climb on or hang on the TV.

When using a wall mount, ensure you use screws and a bracket that meet the VESA standard. The specifications for your LG 50PZ25 and similar models are as follows:

To manage and organize the cables for your LG 50PZ25:

1. Install the Power Cord Holder and Power Cord. This helps prevent the power cable from being removed by accident.

2. Gather and bind the cables with the Cable Holder. If you are using a LAN cable, install it as shown in the manual to reduce electromagnetic waves (for specific models).

Do not move the TV by holding the Cable Holder & Power Cord Holder, as the holders may break, and injuries and damage to the TV may occur.

To replace the batteries, open the battery cover, replace the batteries (1.5 V AAA) matching the (+) and (-) ends to the label inside the compartment, and close the battery cover. Be sure to point the remote control to the remote control sensor on the TV. Do not mix old and new batteries, as this may damage the remote control.

The remote control for your LG 50PZ25 has various buttons for different functions:

• (POWER): Turns the TV on or off.

• ENERGY SAVING: Adjusts screen brightness to reduce energy consumption.

• AV MODE: Selects a preset audio/video mode.

• INPUT: Changes the input source.

• TV/RAD: Selects Radio, TV, and DTV programmes.

• Navigation buttons (up/down/left/right): Scrolls through menus or options.

• OK: Selects menus or options and confirms your input.

• BACK: Returns to the previous level.

• INFO: Views information of the current programme and screen.

• EXIT: Clears all on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing.

• Coloured buttons (Red, Green, Yellow, Blue): Used for teletext and programme edit.

• 3D SETTING: Use this to view 3D video.

• Control buttons (play, pause, stop, etc.): Controls the MY MEDIA menus or SIMPLINK compatible devices.

• SIMPLINK: Accesses AV devices connected to the TV; opens the SIMPLINK menu.

Connect the TV to a wall antenna socket with an RF cable (75 Ω). To prevent damage, do not connect to the mains outlet until all connections are made between the devices.

• For optimum picture quality, adjust the antenna direction.

• In poor signal areas, it may be necessary to install a signal amplifier to the antenna.

• If the image quality is poor with an antenna connected, aim the antenna in the correct direction.

• An antenna cable and converter are not supplied.

When you turn the TV on for the first time, the Initial setting screen appears. Follow these steps:

1. Connect the power cord to a power outlet.

2. In Standby mode, press the (POWER) button to turn the TV on.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to customize your TV settings according to your preferences. You will be prompted to set the following:

• Language: Selects a language to display.

• Mode Setting: Selects Home Use for the home environment.

• Power Indicator: Sets the power indicator (only for LED LCD TV when Home Use is selected).

• Country: Selects a country to display.

• Time Zone: Selects the time zone and daylight saving.

• Set Password: Sets a password (when France is selected for Country).

• Auto Tuning: Scans and saves available programmes automatically.

If you do not complete the Initial setting, it will appear whenever the TV turns on. You can also access Factory Reset by accessing OPTION in the main menus.

Use this function to automatically find and store all available programmes. When you start auto programming, all previously stored service information will be deleted.

1. Press Home to access the main menus.

2. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to SETUP and press OK.

3. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to Auto Tuning and press OK.

4. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to Antenna and press OK.

5. Select Start to begin automatic tuning. The TV will scan and save available programmes automatically.

6. When you are finished, press EXIT. To return to the previous menu, press BACK.

You can edit your programme list to skip stored programmes or change their numbering.

1. Press Home to access the main menus.

2. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to SETUP and press OK.

3. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to Programme Edit and press OK.

4. Press the Navigation buttons to select a programme to be stored or skipped.

5. Use the coloured buttons for different functions:

• Deleting a programme (Red button): Select a programme to be deleted and press the Red button. The selected programme is deleted, and all following programmes are shifted up.

• Moving a programme (Green button): Select a programme to be moved, press the Green button, use the Navigation buttons to move it, and press the Green button again to release.

• Skipping a programme (Blue button): Select a programme to be skipped and press the Blue button. The skipped programme will show in blue and will not be selected by the P ^/v buttons during TV viewing.

• Locking a programme (Yellow button): Select a programme to be locked and press the Yellow button. It can be registered as a Lock programme even when the Lock System is turned Off.

6. When you are finished, press EXIT.

The EPG helps you navigate through all possible viewing options and provides information such as programme listings, and start and end times for all available services. This function can only be used when EPG information is broadcast by the broadcasting company. You must set the Clock in the Time menu before using the EPG function.

Switching on/off EPG:

Press GUIDE to switch the EPG on or off.

Selecting a programme:

1. Press the Navigation buttons or P ^/v to select the desired programme.

2. A pop-up window for record/remind settings will appear. You can then select Timer Record/Remind setting mode.

Within the EPG, you can use various modes like NOW/NEXT Guide Mode, 8 Day Guide Mode, and Date Change Mode by using the coloured buttons as indicated on the screen.

You can resize the image to view it at its optimal size by pressing the RATIO button while you are watching TV. The available options are:

• 16:9: Resizes images to fit the screen width.

• Just Scan: Displays video images in their original size without removing parts at the edge of the image. Note that you may see image noises at the edge of the original signal.

• Original: When your TV receives a wide screen signal, it will automatically change to the picture format broadcasted.

• Full Wide: When the TV receives a wide screen signal, it allows you to adjust the picture horizontally or vertically in a linear proportion to fill the entire screen.

• 4:3: Resizes images to the previous standard 4:3.

• 14:9: Allows you to view a picture format of 14:9. The screen is viewed similarly to 4:3 but is moved up and down.

• Zoom: Enlarges an image to fit the screen width. The top and bottom of the image may not appear.

• Cinema Zoom: Enlarges an image in the cinemascope ratio (2.35:1). You can change the ratio of the cinema zoom using the Navigation buttons.

You can also change the image size by pressing Q. MENU or accessing Aspect Ratio in the Picture menu.

Each AV mode on your LG 50PZ25 has optimized image and sound settings for different content types. Press the AV MODE button repeatedly to select an appropriate mode.

If you select ‘Off’ in AV mode, the picture and image which you initially set will be selected.

You can lock the buttons on the TV to prevent unwanted operations or accidents by children.

1. Press Home to access the main menus.

2. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to LOCK and press OK.

3. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to Key Lock and press OK.

4. Select On to activate the Key lock feature. To deactivate it, select Off.

5. When you are finished, press EXIT. To return to the previous menu, press BACK.

If you press any button on the TV while Key Lock is activated, “Key Lock” will appear on the screen. The TV is programmed to remember the last setting after you turn it off.

The quick menu allows you to customize frequently used menus. The available menus and options may differ from the input source you are using.

1. Press Q. MENU to access the quick menus.

2. Press Navigation buttons to scroll through the available menus and press OK.

3. Press Navigation buttons to scroll to the option you want.

4. When you are finished, press Q. MENU.

You can use the customer support menu to run diagnostic tests.

Testing the Picture / Sound:

1. Press Home to access the main menus.

2. Press the Red button to scroll to Customer Support.

3. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to Picture Test or Sound Test.

4. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to Yes and press OK.

5. When you are finished, press EXIT.

Using Signal Test:

This allows you to view information on the Manufacturer, Model/Type, Serial Number, and Software Version.

1. Press Home to access the main menus.

2. Press the Red button to scroll to Customer Support.

3. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to Signal Test.

4. Press OK to view the information.

5. When you are finished, press EXIT.

When watching 3D images on your LG 50PZ25, please observe the following warnings:

• Maintain a distance of at least twice the screen width.

• Watching 3D too closely or for a long period of time may harm your eyesight.

• If you experience headaches, fatigue, or drowsiness, stop watching and take a rest.

• Pregnant women, seniors, persons with heart problems, or persons who experience frequent drowsiness should refrain from watching 3D TV.

• Do not watch 3D TV near fragile objects that can be knocked over easily.

• Prevent children under the age of 5 from watching 3D TV, as it may affect their vision development.

• Some viewers may experience a seizure or epilepsy. If you or your family have a history of epilepsy or seizure, consult a doctor before watching 3D TV.

• If you experience symptoms like dizziness, altered vision, muscle twitching, confusion, or nausea, immediately stop watching and consult a doctor.

To reduce the risk of photosensitization seizure, take frequent breaks, ensure your eyes are level with the screen, and do not watch 3D when tired or sick.

For the best 3D viewing experience on your LG 50PZ25, please note the following:

• You must wear 3D glasses to watch in 3D. For best results, use LG Brand 3D glasses.

• If there is an obstacle between the TV and the 3D glasses, the 3D imaging may not display properly.

• Do not use the TV in close proximity to other electronic and RF equipment.

• When watching 2D images, it is recommended to take off the 3D glasses to avoid distorted images.

• The TV may flicker slightly if the 3D imaging is displayed under fluorescent lighting. It is recommended to turn the lights off or dim them.

Viewing Range for Plasma TV:

To view 3D images:

1. Play the 3D video or select a 3D channel.

2. Press the 3D button and select the same type as your displayed picture on the screen from the “3D Video” tab.

3. Press OK on the displayed information window.

4. To turn off 3D mode, press the 3D button and select OK.

Using the 3D quick menu:

1. Press 3D SETTING.

2. Use the following options while viewing 3D imaging:

Connect the TV to a local area network (LAN) via the LAN port on the back of the TV.

To set up the network settings:

1. Press Home to access the main menus.

2. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to SETUP and press OK.

3. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to NETWORK and press OK.

4. Press the Navigation buttons to select Network Setting and press OK.

5. If wired and wireless are simultaneously connected, select Wired and press OK.

6. If you have already set up a network, you can select Resetting to reset the current settings.

7. Select IP Auto Setting or IP Manual Setting.

• IP Auto Setting: Select this if there is a DHCP server (Router) on your network. The TV will automatically be allocated an IP address.

• IP Manual Setting: Select this to input IP addresses manually.

8. When you are finished, press EXIT.

Connecting a USB device:

Connect a USB storage device such as a USB flash memory or external hard drive to the USB IN port on the TV. The My Media screen will appear.

Disconnecting a USB device:

To safely disconnect a USB storage device and prevent damage to the TV or files, follow these steps:

1. Press Q.MENU to access the quick menus.

2. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to USB Device and press OK.

3. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to Eject and press OK.

4. Disconnect the USB storage device only when the message says that it is safe to remove.

Do not turn the TV off or remove the USB device while it is connected, as this could result in loss of files or damage. Always back up your important files.

Check and register the DivX registration code of your TV so that you can rent or purchase movies from the DivX service. To play a rented or purchased DivX file, the file’s registration code must match your TV’s code.

1. Press Home to access the main menus.

2. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to MY MEDIA and press OK.

3. Press the Blue button.

4. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to DivX VOD Registration and press OK.

5. Your TV’s registration code will be displayed.

6. When you are finished, press EXIT. To return to the previous menu, press BACK.

To access and navigate the main menus:

1. Press Home to access the main menus.

2. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to one of the following menus and press OK: SETUP, PICTURE, AUDIO, TIME, LOCK, OPTION, INPUT, MY MEDIA, or NETWORK.

3. Press Navigation buttons to scroll to the setting or option you want and press OK.

4. When you are finished, press EXIT.

SIMPLINK allows you to use the TV remote control to play and control an AV device connected with an HDMI cable through HDMI-CEC. Your TV only works with devices that support HDMI-CEC.

To activate SIMPLINK:

1. Press SIMPLINK to access the SIMPLINK menus.

2. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to On.

3. Press the Navigation buttons to scroll to one of the connected devices and press OK.

4. You can now control the selected AV device using functions like Direct Play, Disc playback, Power off all devices, and Switch audio-out.

To operate SIMPLINK, a High Speed HDMI Cable with CEC function must be used.

If a fixed image is displayed on the TV screen for a long period of time, it can become imprinted and result in a permanent disfigurement known as “image burn” or “burn-in,” which is not covered by the warranty.

• Avoid displaying a fixed image on the TV screen for a long period of time (1 or more hours for the Plasma TV) to prevent image burn.

• If the aspect ratio of the TV is set to 4:3 for a long period of time, image burn may occur on the letterboxed area of the screen.

If you cannot control the TV with the remote control, please check the following:

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and properly installed (+ to +, – to -).

• Check if the appropriate input mode such as TV or VCR is set for using the remote control.

If there is no image or sound, try these steps:

• Check if the product is turned on.

• Check if the power cord is connected to a wall outlet.

• Check if there is a problem in the wall outlet by connecting other products.

The image is muted during the product startup process. This is normal. If the image does not appear in a few minutes, unplug the TV for 30 seconds and try again. If the image still does not appear, contact an authorized service center.

If your TV turns off suddenly, check the following settings:

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may be interrupted.

• Check if the Auto sleep feature is activated in the Time settings. Refer to the “Sleep Timer” setting.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, the TV will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.

If no sound is produced while images are displaying:

• Press the + or – volume buttons.

• Check if the sound is muted by pressing MUTE.

• Scroll to other channels. There may be a problem with the broadcast.

• Check if the audio cables are connected properly.

If one of the speakers produces noises or does not produce sound:

• A change in ambient humidity or temperature may result in an unusual noise when the product turns on or off. This is not a problem with your product.
