To attach the stand to your LG 50LB561V-ZE, please follow these steps. Note that the image shown in the manual may differ from your specific model.

There are two types of stands depending on the model group:

For models LB55**, LB56**-ZE / ZC, LB62**-ZA / ZB:

1. Place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect it from scratches.

2. Align the A Stand Base and B Stand Base with the TV set.

3. Secure the stand using the provided screws (4EA). Use M4 x L14 screws for most models in this group. For 32-inch models (32LB55**, 32LB56**-ZE/ZC, 32LB62**-ZA/ZB), use M4 x L20 screws.

For models LB56**-ZT / ZQ, LB62**-ZE:

1. Place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface.

2. Align the A Stand Base and B Stand Base with the TV set.

3. Secure the stand using the provided screws (4EA). Use M4 x L14 screws for most models in this group. For 32-inch models (32LB56**-ZT/ZQ, 32LB62**-ZE), use M4 x L20 screws.

Always ensure you place the screen facing down on a cushioned surface to prevent scratches during stand installation.

To connect your LG 50LB561V-ZE to a wall antenna socket, use an RF cable (75 Ω). The antenna cable and converter are not supplied with the TV.

Connection Tips:

• If you plan to use more than two TVs, use a signal splitter.

• If the image quality is poor, you may need to install a signal amplifier to improve it.

• If the image quality is poor with a connected antenna, try realigning the antenna in the correct direction.

Supported DTV Audio on the LG 50LB561V-ZE includes: MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, HE-AAC.

PC Mode Connection:

• In PC mode, you might experience noise associated with resolution, vertical pattern, contrast, or brightness. If this occurs, try changing the PC output to another resolution, changing the refresh rate, or adjusting the brightness and contrast on the TV’s PICTURE menu until the picture is clear.

• Some resolution settings in PC mode may not work properly, depending on your PC’s graphics card.

The Joystick button, located below the TV screen, allows you to operate the TV’s functions by pressing or moving it up, down, left, or right.

Basic Functions:

• Power On: When the TV is off, place your finger on the joystick button, press it once, and release it.

• Power Off: When the TV is on, press and hold the joystick button for a few seconds and release. If the Menu is on-screen, this action will exit the menu instead.

• Volume Control: Move the joystick left or right to adjust the volume.

• Programmes Control: Move the joystick up or down to scroll through saved programmes.

Note: When you move your finger over the joystick, be careful not to press it first, as this will prevent you from adjusting the volume or programmes.

Adjusting the Menu:

When the TV is on, press the joystick button once to bring up the menu. You can then adjust the menu items by moving the joystick up, down, left, or right.

To prevent your LG 50LB561V-ZE from being scratched or damaged and to ensure safe transportation, please follow this advice:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may cause damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the box or packing material that it originally came in.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a minimum of 10 cm of space between the TV and the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

Caution: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

This feature is not available for all models. If your model supports it, follow these steps:

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts, on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt position, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket with the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface.

Important Notes:

• Ensure that children do not climb on or hang on the TV.

• Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely.

• Brackets, bolts, and ropes are not provided. You can obtain these additional accessories from your local dealer.

To mount your LG 50LB561V-ZE, attach an optional wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV and install it on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer.

Important Precautions:

• Disconnect the power first before moving or installing the TV to avoid electric shock.

• If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury. Use an authorized LG wall mount.

• Do not over-tighten the screws, as this may cause damage to the TV and void your warranty.

Here is a guide to the buttons on the remote control for the LG LB55** and LB56** models. Always point the remote control toward the remote control sensor on the TV.

To automatically tune the programmes on your LG 50LB561V-ZE, navigate to SETTINGS → SETUP → Auto Tuning.

• The TV will automatically tune the available programmes.

• Please note that if the Input Source is not connected properly, programme registration may not work.

• Auto Tuning only finds programmes that are currently broadcasting.

• If the Lock System is turned on, a pop-up window will appear asking for a password.

To calibrate and adjust for optimum picture quality, you can use the Picture Wizard III feature. Navigate to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Wizard III.

This feature allows you to calibrate the picture quality using the remote control without needing expensive pattern devices or professional help.

To select a picture mode optimized for your viewing environment or the programme, go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode. The available modes are:

• Vivid: Heightens contrast, brightness, and sharpness to display vivid images.

• Standard: Displays images in standard levels of contrast, brightness, and sharpness.

• Eco/APS: The Energy Saver feature changes settings on the TV to reduce power consumption (depending on model).

• Cinema/Game: Displays the optimum picture for movies or games.

• Sports: Optimizes the video image for high and dynamic actions by emphasizing primary colours such as white, grass, or sky blue.

• Expert 1, 2: A menu for adjusting picture quality that allows experts and amateurs to enjoy the best TV viewing. This is an adjustment menu for ISF-certified picture tuning professionals. (ISFccc: Imaging Science Foundation Certified Calibration Control). The ISF function is only available on some models.

The available range of picture modes may differ depending on the input signal. The Expert mode is for picture tuning professionals; for normal images, the effects may not be dramatic.

To calibrate the screen for each picture mode or adjust picture settings for a special screen, first select a Picture Mode, then go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode → Advanced Control / Expert Control. The options include:

• Dynamic Contrast: Adjusts the contrast to the optimal level according to the image’s brightness.

• Dynamic Colour: Adjusts colours to make the image appear more natural.

• Skin Colour: Sets the skin colour spectrum separately.

• Sky Colour: Sets the sky colour separately.

• Grass Colour: Sets the natural colour spectrum for areas like meadows and hills separately.

• Gamma: Sets the gradation curve according to the output of the picture signal in relation to the input signal.

• Colour Gamut: Selects the range of colours that can be expressed.

• Edge Enhancer: Shows clearer and more distinctive, yet natural, edges of the video.

• Expert Pattern: Provides patterns for expert adjustment (depending on model).

• Colour Filter: Filters a specific colour spectrum in RGB colours to fine-tune colour saturation and hue.

• Colour Temperature: Adjusts the overall tone of the screen. In Expert mode, detailed fine-tuning can be set via the Gamma method.

• Colour Management System: A system for experts to adjust colour with a test pattern, allowing selection from six colour areas (Red/Green/Blue/Cyan/Magenta/Yellow) without affecting other colours.

The range of detailed items for adjustment may differ depending on the input signal or other picture settings.

SIMPLINK allows you to control and manage various multimedia devices conveniently via the SIMPLINK menu. To use this feature:

1. Connect the TV’s HDMI IN terminal to the SIMPLINK device’s HDMI output terminal using a high-speed HDMI® cable (with CEC feature added).

2. Select INPUT(OPTION) → SIMPLINK. The SIMPLINK menu window will appear.

3. In the SIMPLINK Setting window, set the SIMPLINK function to ON.

4. In the SIMPLINK menu window, select the device you want to control.

This function is only compatible with devices that have the SIMPLINK logo.

SIMPLINK Function Descriptions:

• Direct Play: Plays the multimedia device on the TV instantly.

• Select multimedia device: Selects the desired device via the SIMPLINK menu for instant control from the TV screen.

• Disc playback: Manages the multimedia device with the TV remote control.

• Power off all devices: When you power off the TV, all connected devices are also turned off.

• Sync Power on: When equipment with SIMPLINK connected to an HDMI terminal starts to play, the TV will automatically turn on.

• Speaker: Selects the speaker, either on the home theatre unit or the TV (depending on model).

If you switch to another input, the SIMPLINK device will stop. Using a third-party device with an HDMI-CEC function may cause SIMPLINK to not work normally.

To set or change the TV password, go to SETTINGS → LOCK → Set Password. The initial password is set to ‘0000’.

To return your TV to its factory settings, which will delete all stored information and reset TV settings, go to SETTINGS → OPTION → Factory Reset.

The TV will turn itself off and back on, and all settings will be reset.

• If the Lock System is active, a pop-up window will appear asking for the password.

• Do not turn off the power during the initialization process.

Before using a USB storage device, please note the following warnings:

• If the USB device has a built-in auto recognition program or uses its own driver, it may not work.

• Some USB storage devices may not work or may work incorrectly.

• Use only USB storage devices formatted with the Windows FAT32 or NTFS File System.

• For external USB HDDs, it is recommended to use devices with a rated voltage of less than 5 V and a rated current of less than 500 mA.

• It is recommended to use USB memory sticks of 32 GB or less and USB HDDs of 1 TB or less.

• If a USB HDD with a power-saving function does not work properly, turn the power off and on. Refer to the user manual of the USB HDD for more information.

• Data on the USB storage device can be damaged, so be sure to back up important files to other devices. Data maintenance is the user’s responsibility.

To safely remove a USB device, go to Q.MENU → USB Device and select the device you want to remove. Once you see the removal message, you can separate the device from the TV.

Clean your TV regularly to keep it in the best condition and extend its lifespan.

Initial Steps:

• Make sure to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord and all other cables first.

• When the TV is left unattended for a long time, disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet to prevent damage from lightning or power surges.

Screen, frame, cabinet, and stand:

• To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

• To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

Cleaning Cautions:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• Do not push, rub, or hit the screen surface with your fingernail or a sharp object, as this may cause scratches and image distortions.

• Do not use any chemicals as this may damage the product.

• Do not spray liquid onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

Power cord:

• Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.
