To attach the stand to your LG 50LB5610-ZC TV, please follow these steps. Note that the image shown in the manual may differ from your TV.

CAUTION: When attaching the stand to the TV set, place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches.

There are two types of stand assemblies depending on your model series:

For models LB55**, LB56**-ZE / ZC, LB62**-ZA / ZB:

1. Lay the TV screen-down on a soft, flat surface.

2. Align the A Stand Base and B Stand Base with the mounting points on the back of the TV.

3. Secure the stand parts to the TV using the provided screws. You will need 4 screws (M4 x L14 for models like 39/42/47/50/55/60LB56**).

For models LB56**-ZT / ZQ, LB62**-ZE:

1. Lay the TV screen-down on a soft, flat surface.

2. Align the A Stand Base and B Stand Base pieces.

3. Attach the assembled stand to the bottom of the TV set.

4. Secure the stand to the TV using the 4 provided screws (M4 x L14).

To connect your LG 50LB5610-ZC to a wall antenna socket, use an RF cable (75 Ω). The antenna cable and converter are not supplied.

Notes:

• Use a signal splitter if you want to connect more than 2 TVs.

• If the image quality is poor, install a signal amplifier properly to improve the image quality.

• If the image quality is poor with an antenna connected, try to realign the antenna in the correct direction.

• Supported DTV Audio includes: MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, HE-AAC.

To connect your LG 50LB5610-ZC to a satellite dish (for satellite models only), use a satellite RF cable (75 Ω) to connect the TV’s “LNB Satellite IN” port to a satellite socket. The cable is not provided.

You can transmit video and audio signals from an external device to your LG 50LB5610-ZC TV by connecting the external device and the TV with a Euro Scart cable. Ensure any Euro Scart cable used is signal shielded.

The output type from the AV1 (TV Out) port depends on the current input mode:

The joystick button, located below the TV screen, allows you to operate the TV’s functions by pressing or moving it up, down, left, or right.

Basic Functions:

• Power On: When the TV is off, press the joystick button once and release it.

• Power Off: When the TV is on, press and hold the joystick button for a few seconds and release. (If the Menu is on screen, this action will exit the menu instead).

• Volume Control: Move the joystick left or right to adjust the volume.

• Programmes Control: Move the joystick up or down to scroll through saved programmes.

Note: When moving your finger over the joystick, be careful not to press it first, as this will prevent you from adjusting volume or programmes.

Adjusting the Menu:

When the TV is on, press the joystick button once to bring up the menu. You can then adjust the menu items by moving the joystick.

• TV off: Turns the power off.

• Settings: Accesses the main menu.

• Close: Clears on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing.

• Input List: Changes the input source.

To prevent your LG 50LB5610-ZC from being scratched or damaged and for safe transportation, please follow this advice:

CAUTION: Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the box or packing material it originally came in.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• When transporting a large TV, there should be at least 2 people.

• Do not expose the TV to jolts or excessive vibration during transport.

• Keep the TV upright; never turn it on its side or tilt it left or right.

• Do not apply excessive pressure that could cause the frame chassis to flex or bend, as this may damage the screen.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (minimum) space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

CAUTION: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

To secure the TV to a wall for stability (this feature is not available for all models):

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts (or TV brackets and bolts) on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt position, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket and the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface.

CAUTION: Make sure that children do not climb on or hang on the TV.

NOTE: Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely. Brackets, bolts, and ropes are not provided.

LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer. Attach an optional wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV and install it on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor.

CAUTION:

• Disconnect the power first, then move or install the TV. Otherwise, electric shock may occur.

• If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury. Use an authorized LG wall mount.

• Do not over-tighten the screws as this may cause damage to the TV and void your warranty.

• Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Any damages or injuries from misuse are not covered by the warranty.

Make sure to use screws and a wall mount bracket that meet the VESA standard. Standard dimensions for wall mount kits are as follows:

The descriptions are based on the remote for LB55** and LB56** models. Make sure to point the remote control toward the remote control sensor on the TV.

To automatically tune the programmes on your LG 50LB5610-ZC, go to SETTINGS → SETUP → Auto Tuning. This function automatically finds and stores programmes.

• If the Input Source is not connected properly, programme registration may not work.

• Auto Tuning only finds programmes that are currently broadcasting.

• If the Lock System is turned on, a pop-up window will appear asking for a password.

Go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode to select the picture mode optimized for your viewing environment or the programme.

• Vivid: Heightens contrast, brightness and sharpness to display vivid images.

• Standard: Displays images in standard levels of contrast, brightness and sharpness.

• Eco/APS: The Energy Saver feature changes settings on the TV to reduce power consumption.

• Cinema/Game: Displays the optimum picture for movies or games.

• Sports: Optimizes the video image for high and dynamic actions by emphasizing primary colours such as white, grass, or sky blue.

• Expert 1, 2: Menu for adjusting picture quality that allows experts and amateurs to enjoy the best TV viewing. This is the adjustment menu provided for ISF-certified picture tuning professionals.

To calibrate the screen for each picture mode, go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode → Advanced Control / Expert Control. First select a Picture Mode, then adjust the following settings:

• Dynamic Contrast: Adjusts the contrast to the optimal level according to the image brightness.

• Dynamic Colour: Adjusts colours to make the image appear more natural.

• Skin Colour: Sets Skin colour spectrum separately to implement the skin colour as defined by the user.

• Sky Colour: Sky colour is set separately.

• Grass Colour: Natural colour spectrum (meadows, hills, etc.) can be separately set.

• Gamma: Sets the gradation curve according to the output of picture signal in relation to the input signal.

• Colour Gamut: Selects the range of colours that can be expressed.

• Edge Enhancer: Shows clearer and distinctive yet natural edges of the video.

• Colour Filter: Filters a specific colour spectrum in RGB colours to fine-tune colour saturation and hue accurately.

• Colour Temperature: Adjusts the overall tone of the screen as desired.

• Colour Management System: A system for experts to adjust colour with a test pattern, selecting from six colour areas (Red / Green / Blue / Cyan / Magenta / Yellow) without affecting other colours.

SIMPLINK allows you to control and manage various multimedia devices conveniently via the SIMPLINK menu. This function is only compatible with devices with the SIMPLINK logo.

1. Connect the TV’s HDMI IN terminal and the SIMPLINK device’s HDMI output terminal using a high-speed HDMI® cable (with CEC feature added).

2. Select INPUT(OPTION) → SIMPLINK. The SIMPLINK menu window will appear.

3. In the SIMPLINK Setting window, set the SIMPLINK function to ON.

4. In the SIMPLINK menu window, select the device you want to control.

SIMPLINK function descriptions:

• Direct Play: Plays the multimedia device on the TV instantly.

• Select multimedia device: Selects the desired device via the SIMPLINK menu to control it from the TV screen instantly.

• Disc playback: Manages the multimedia device with the TV remote control.

• Power off all devices: When you power off the TV, all connected devices are turned off.

• Sync Power on: When equipment with SIMPLINK function connected to an HDMI terminal starts to play, the TV will automatically turn on.

• Speaker: Select speaker either on the home theatre unit or the TV.

Here are some important warnings for using a USB storage device with your TV:

• If the USB storage device has a built-in auto recognition program or uses its own driver, it may not work.

• Some USB storage devices may not work or may work incorrectly.

• Use only USB storage devices formatted with the Windows FAT32 or NTFS File System.

• For external USB HDDs, it is recommended that you use devices with a rated voltage of less than 5 V and a rated current of less than 500 mA.

• It is recommended that you use USB memory sticks of 32 GB or less and USB HDDs of 1 TB or less.

• If a USB HDD with a power-saving function does not work properly, turn the power off and on. For more information, refer to the user manual of the USB HDD.

• Data in the USB storage device can be damaged, so be sure to back up important files to other devices. Data maintenance is the user’s responsibility.

To remove a USB device, select Q.MENU → USB Device. Select the device you want to remove. When you see a message that the USB device has been removed, you can separate it from the TV.

Your TV supports playback of various media files. Here are the supported formats:

Supported Subtitle Formats:

• External: *.srt (SubRip), *.smi (SAMI), *.sub (SubViewer, etc.), *.ass/*.ssa (SubStation Alpha), *.txt (TMplayer), *.psb (PowerDivX)

• Internal: XSUB (from DivX6)

Supported Video Formats (Max: 1920 x 1080 @ 30p):

• .asf, .wmv, .divx, .avi, .ts, .trp, .tp, .mts, .m2ts, .vob, .mp4, .m4v, .mov, .mkv, motion JPEG, .mpg, .mpeg, .mpe, .dat, .flv, .3gp, .3gp2

• Includes codecs like MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, XVID, H.264/AVC, VC1, AVS, MJPEG, Sorenson H.263.

Supported Audio Formats:

• .mp3, .aac, .m4a, .wma, .ogg

• Includes codecs like MPEG1/2 Layer2/3, ADIF/ADTS, WMA7/8/9/10, OGG Vorbis.

Supported Photo Formats:

• 2D (jpeg, jpg, jpe): Baseline, Extend Sequential, Progressive. Max Normal size: 15360 (W) x 8640 (H).

• BMP: Max size: 9600 x 6400.

• PNG: Interlace, Non-Interlace. Max Non-Interlace size: 9600 x 6400.

• BMP and PNG files may be slower to display than JPEG.

Clean your TV regularly to keep the best performance and extend its lifespan.

CAUTION: Make sure to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord and all other cables first.

Screen, frame, cabinet and stand:

• To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

• To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

CAUTION:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• Do not push, rub, or hit the screen surface with your fingernail or a sharp object, as this may result in scratches and image distortions.

• Do not use any chemicals as this may damage the product.

• Do not spray liquid onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

Power cord:

• Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.

If your LG 50LB5610-ZC TV turns off suddenly, please check the following:

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may be interrupted.

• Check if the Automatic Standby, Sleep Timer, or Off Time feature is activated in the TIME settings.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, the TV will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.

If you cannot control the TV with the remote, try these solutions:

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and properly installed.

If there is no image or sound, follow these steps:

• Check if the product is turned on.

• Check if the power cord is connected to a wall outlet.

• Check if there is a problem in the wall outlet by connecting other products.

If you see a ‘No signal’ or ‘Invalid Format’ message when connecting your PC, try the following:

• Turn the TV off/on using the remote control.

• Reconnect the HDMI cable.

• Restart the PC with the TV on.
