To attach the stand to your LG 49LB620V-ZE, please follow these steps. Note that the image shown in your manual may differ from your TV.

1. Place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches.

2. Assemble the stand parts (Stand Base and Stand Base) together.

3. Attach the assembled stand to the TV set by aligning the screw holes.

4. Fasten the screws to secure the stand to the TV. The screw type depends on your specific model:

For LB55**, LB56**-ZE / ZC, LB62**-ZA / ZB models:

– M4 x L14 screws (for models other than 32-inch)

– M4 x L20 screws (for 32-inch models only)

For LB56**-ZT / ZQ, LB62**-ZE models:

– M4 x L14 screws (for models other than 32-inch)

– M4 x L20 screws (for 32-inch models only)

Connect your LG 49LB620V-ZE to a wall antenna socket using an RF cable (75 Ω).

Notes:

• Use a signal splitter if you need to connect more than 2 TVs.

• If the image quality is poor, install a signal amplifier correctly to improve it.

• If the image quality is poor with an antenna connected, try to realign the antenna in the correct direction.

• An antenna cable and converter are not supplied with the TV.

• Supported DTV Audio for the LG 49LB620V-ZE includes: MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, HE-AAC.

For satellite models of the LG 49LB620V-ZE, connect the TV to a satellite dish to a satellite socket with a satellite RF cable (75 Ω). The connection port is labeled “LNB Satellite IN”.

The Euro Scart connection on your LG 49LB620V-ZE is used to transmit video and audio signals from an external device. Connect the external device and the TV with a Euro Scart cable.

Notes:

• Any Euro Scart cable used must be signal shielded.

• For 3D models like the LG 49LB620V-ZE, when watching digital TV in 3D imaging mode, only 2D output signals can be output through the SCART cable.

The output type through the AV1 (TV Out) port depends on the current input mode:

You can connect various external devices such as HD receivers, DVD players, VCRs, audio systems, USB storage devices, PCs, and gaming devices to your LG 49LB620V-ZE. Here are some guidelines:

• The external device connection may differ slightly from the diagrams in the manual.

• Connect external devices to the TV regardless of the order of the TV port.

• If you record a TV programme on a DVD recorder or VCR, ensure the TV signal input cable is connected to the TV through the DVD recorder or VCR.

• Refer to the external equipment’s manual for operating instructions.

• If you connect a gaming device, use the cable supplied with it.

• In PC mode, noise may be associated with resolution, vertical pattern, contrast, or brightness. If noise is present, change the PC output to another resolution, change the refresh rate, or adjust the brightness and contrast on the PICTURE menu until the picture is clear.

• In PC mode, some resolution settings may not work properly depending on the graphics card.

The Joystick button, located below the TV screen on your LG 49LB620V-ZE, allows you to operate basic TV functions by pressing or moving it up, down, left, or right.

Basic Functions:

• Power On: When the TV is off, place your finger on the joystick button and press it once and release it.

• Power Off: When the TV is on, press and hold the joystick button for a few seconds and release it. (If the Menu is on-screen, this action will exit the Menu.)

• Volume Control: Move the joystick left or right to adjust the volume.

• Programmes Control: Move the joystick up or down to scroll through saved programmes.

Adjusting the Menu:

When the TV is on, press the joystick button once to bring up the menu. You can then adjust menu items by moving the joystick.

• TV off: Turns the power off.

• Settings: Accesses the main menu.

• Close: Clears on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing.

• Input List: Changes the input source.

Note: Be careful not to press the joystick button first when you intend to adjust volume or change programmes, as this will bring up the menu instead.

To prevent your LG 49LB620V-ZE from being scratched or damaged and to ensure safe transportation, please follow this advice:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in its original box or packing material.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• When transporting a large TV, there should be at least 2 people.

• Do not apply excessive pressure that could cause the frame chassis to flex or bend, as this may damage the screen.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a minimum of 10 cm of space between the TV and the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

Caution: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

This feature is not available for all models. If your model supports it, follow these steps to secure your LG 49LB620V-ZE to a wall to prevent it from falling:

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts, on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt position, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket to the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface.

Caution: Make sure that children do not climb on or hang on the TV.

Note:

• Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely.

• Brackets, bolts, and ropes are not provided. You can obtain additional accessories from your local dealer.

To mount your LG 49LB620V-ZE, attach an optional wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV and install it on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer.

To automatically tune the programmes on your LG 49LB620V-ZE, navigate to SETTINGS → SETUP → Auto Tuning. This function automatically finds and saves programmes.

• If the Input Source is not connected properly, programme registration may not work.

• Auto Tuning only finds programmes that are currently broadcasting.

• If the Lock System is turned on, a pop-up window will appear asking for a password.

To calibrate and adjust for optimum picture quality on your LG 49LB620V-ZE, you can use the Picture Wizard. Go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Wizard III. This feature guides you through picture calibration using the remote control without needing expensive pattern devices or professional help.

Note: Depending on the input signal, the available range of picture modes may differ. The ISF function is only available on some models.

To calibrate the screen for each picture mode or adjust picture settings, go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode → Advanced Control / Expert Control. Select a Picture Mode first, then adjust the following:

• Dynamic Contrast: Adjusts the contrast to the optimal level according to the image’s brightness.

• Dynamic Colour: Adjusts colours to make the image appear more natural.

• Skin Colour: Sets the skin colour spectrum separately.

• Sky Colour: Sets the sky colour separately.

• Grass Colour: Sets the natural colour spectrum for areas like meadows and hills.

• Gamma: Sets the gradation curve according to the output of the picture signal.

• Colour Gamut: Selects the range of colours that can be expressed.

• Edge Enhancer: Shows clearer and more distinctive yet natural edges of the video.

• Expert Pattern: Patterns used for expert adjustment.

• Colour Filter: Filters a specific colour spectrum in RGB to fine-tune colour saturation and hue.

• Colour Temperature: Adjusts the overall tone of the screen. In Expert mode, detailed fine-tuning can be set.

• Colour Management System: A system for experts to adjust colour with a test pattern across six colour areas (Red/Green/Blue/Cyan/Magenta/Yellow) without affecting other colours.

Note: The range of available items for adjustment may differ depending on the input signal or other picture settings.

To adjust detailed settings for images on your LG 49LB620V-ZE, go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode → Picture Option. The options include:

• Noise Reduction: Eliminates noise in the picture.

• MPEG Noise Reduction: Eliminates noise generated while creating digital picture signals.

• Black Level: Adjusts the brightness and contrast of the screen to suit the black level of the input picture.

• Real Cinema: Optimizes the screen for movie viewing.

• Motion Eye Care/SUPER Energy Saving: Saves power consumption by adjusting the brightness corresponding to the movement of the image on the screen.

The Energy Saving feature on your LG 49LB620V-ZE reduces power consumption by adjusting screen brightness. You can find it under SETTINGS → PICTURE → Energy Saving.

• Auto: The TV sensor detects the ambient lighting and automatically adjusts the screen brightness.

• Off: Turns off the Energy Saving mode.

• Minimum / Medium / Maximum: Applies the pre-set Energy Saving mode.

• Screen Off: The screen is turned off and only sound is played. Press any button (except the Power button) on the remote control to turn the screen back on.

You can choose the audio output for your LG 49LB620V-ZE:

• To use the TV speaker: Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → TV Speaker. Sound is output through the TV speaker.

• To use an External Speaker (Optical): Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → External Speaker (Optical). Sound is output through the speaker connected to the optical port. SimpLink is supported.

• To use Headphones: Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → Headphone. Sound is output through the headphone port.

• To use an LG audio device (LG Sound Sync): Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → LG Sound Sync (Optical). Connect an LG audio device with the Sound Sync logo to the optical digital audio output port for rich, powerful sound.

SIMPLINK allows you to control and manage various multimedia devices conveniently via the SIMPLINK menu on your LG 49LB620V-ZE.

1. Connect the TV’s HDMI IN terminal and the SIMPLINK device’s HDMI output terminal using a high-speed HDMI® cable (with CEC feature added).

2. For home theatre units, also use an optical cable to connect the Optical Digital Audio Out from the TV to the Optical Digital Audio In of the SIMPLINK device.

3. Select INPUT(OPTION) → SIMPLINK. The SIMPLINK menu window will appear.

4. In the SIMPLINK Setting window, set the SIMPLINK function to ON.

5. In the SIMPLINK menu window, select the device you want to control.

SIMPLINK Functions:

• Direct Play: Plays the multimedia device on the TV instantly.

• Select multimedia device: Selects the desired device via the SIMPLINK menu to control it from the TV screen.

• Disc playback: Manages the multimedia device with the TV remote control.

• Power off all devices: When you power off the TV, all connected devices are turned off.

• Sync Power on: When equipment with SIMPLINK starts to play, the TV will automatically turn on.

• Speaker: Selects the speaker on either the home theatre unit or the TV.

To set or change the TV password, go to SETTINGS → LOCK → Set Password. The initial password is set to ‘0000’.

To reset your LG 49LB620V-ZE to its factory settings, go to SETTINGS → OPTION → Factory Reset. All stored information will be deleted, and the TV settings will be reset. The TV will turn itself off and back on with all settings reset.

• If the Lock System is in place, a pop-up window will appear asking for the password.

• Do not turn off the power during initialization.

To safely remove a USB storage device from your LG 49LB620V-ZE, go to the Q.MENU → USB Device. Select the USB device you want to remove. When you see a message that the USB device has been removed, you can then physically separate the device from the TV. Once a USB device has been selected for removal, it can no longer be read until you remove it and re-connect it.

When viewing 3D content on your LG 49LB620V-ZE, please observe the following guidelines for a safe and comfortable experience:

Viewing Environment and Time:

• Take 5 to 15-minute breaks every hour when watching 3D content. Viewing for a long period may cause headache, dizziness, fatigue, or eye strain.

• Maintain a viewing distance of at least twice the screen’s diagonal length. If you feel discomfort, move further away from the TV.

Photosensitive Seizure or Chronic Illness:

• Some users may experience a seizure or other abnormal symptoms when exposed to flashing lights or particular patterns from 3D content.

• Do not watch 3D videos if you feel nausea, are pregnant, or have a chronic illness such as epilepsy, cardiac disorder, or blood pressure disease.

Symptoms Requiring Discontinuation of 3D Viewing:

• If you experience symptoms like headache, eyeball pain, dizziness, nausea, palpitation, blurriness, discomfort, double images, or fatigue, stop watching 3D content and rest until the symptoms subside. Consult your doctor if symptoms persist.

Viewing Age:

• Usage of 3D content for children under the age of 6 is prohibited.

• Teenagers under 19 may react with sensitivity to light stimulation. Advise them to refrain from watching 3D content for a long time when tired.

• The elderly may perceive less 3D effect. Do not sit closer than the recommended distance.

Cautions for Using 3D Glasses:

• Make sure to use LG 3D glasses. Otherwise, you may not be able to view 3D videos properly.

• Do not use 3D glasses in place of your normal glasses, sunglasses, or protective goggles.

• Do not keep your 3D glasses in extremely high or low temperatures, as this will cause deformation.

• The 3D glasses are fragile and easily scratched. Always use a soft, clean cloth when wiping the lenses. Do not scratch them with sharp objects or clean them with chemicals.

If your LG 49LB620V-ZE turns off suddenly, try the following:

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may have been interrupted.

• Check if the Automatic Standby, Sleep Timer, or Off Time feature is activated in the TIME settings.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, it will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity. This is normal operation.

If you see a ‘No signal’ or ‘Invalid Format’ message when your PC is connected to the LG 49LB620V-ZE via HDMI, follow these steps:

1. Turn the TV off and then on again using the remote control.
