To attach the stand to your LG 42LB6200-ZE TV, please follow these steps:

1. Place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or a flat surface to protect it from scratches.

2. Assemble the A Stand Base and the B Stand Base as shown in the manual diagram.

3. Align the assembled stand with the mounting holes on the bottom of the TV.

4. Insert and tighten the four provided M4 x L14 screws to secure the stand to the TV.

CAUTION: When attaching the stand, always place the screen facing down on a cushioned surface to prevent scratches.

Connect your LG 42LB6200-ZE TV to a wall antenna socket using an RF cable (75 Ω).

NOTE:

• Use a signal splitter if you want to connect more than 2 TVs.

• If the image quality is poor, install a signal amplifier correctly to improve it.

• If the image quality is poor with an antenna connected, try to realign the antenna in the correct direction.

• An antenna cable and converter are not supplied.

• Supported DTV Audio formats are MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and HE-AAC.

To connect your LG 42LB6200-ZE to a satellite dish, use a satellite RF cable (75 Ω) to connect the “LNB Satellite IN” port on the TV to the satellite socket.

To transmit video and audio signals from an external device to your LG 42LB6200-ZE, connect the device and the TV using a Euro Scart cable. Any Euro Scart cable used must be signal shielded.

The AV1 (TV Out) port on your TV outputs different signals depending on the current input mode. The output types are as follows:

Note for 3D Models: When watching digital TV in 3D imaging mode, only 2D out signals can be output through the SCART cable.

When connecting external devices like HD receivers, DVD players, VCRs, audio systems, USB storage devices, PCs, or gaming devices to your LG 42LB6200-ZE, please follow these guidelines:

• The external device connection may differ from the model.

• Connect external devices to the TV regardless of the order of the TV port.

• If you record a TV programme on a DVD recorder or VCR, make sure to connect the TV signal input cable to the TV through the DVD recorder or VCR.

• Refer to the external equipment’s manual for operating instructions.

• If you connect a gaming device, use the cable supplied with the gaming device.

• In PC mode, if noise is present, change the PC output to another resolution, change the refresh rate, or adjust the brightness and contrast on the PICTURE menu until the picture is clear.

• In PC mode, some resolution settings may not work properly depending on the graphics card.

You can operate the TV functions by pressing or moving the joystick button located below the TV screen up, down, left, or right.

Basic Functions:

• Power On: When the TV is off, press the joystick button once and release it.

• Power Off: When the TV is on, press and hold the joystick button for a few seconds and release it. (If the Menu is on screen, this action will exit the menu.)

• Volume Control: Move the joystick left or right to adjust the volume.

• Programmes Control: Move the joystick up or down to scroll through saved programmes.

Adjusting the Menu:

When the TV is on, press the joystick button once to bring up the menu. You can then adjust the menu items by moving the joystick up, down, left, or right.

• TV off: Turns the power off.

• Settings: Accesses the main menu.

• Close: Clears on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing.

• Input List: Changes the input source.

To prevent your LG 42LB6200-ZE from being scratched or damaged and for safe transportation, please follow this advice:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the box or packing material that it originally came in.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• When transporting a large TV, there should be at least 2 people.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (minimum) space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

CAUTION: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts, on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt position, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket and the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Ensure the rope is kept horizontal with the flat surface.

CAUTION: Make sure that children do not climb on or hang on the TV.

NOTE: Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely. Brackets, bolts, and ropes are not provided.

LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer. Use an authorized LG wall mount and contact your local dealer or qualified personnel.

• Disconnect the power first, and then move or install the TV. Otherwise, electric shock may occur.

• Do not over-tighten the screws, as this may cause damage to the TV and void your warranty.

• Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Any damages or injuries by misuse or using an improper accessory are not covered by the warranty.

The functions of the buttons on the remote for your LG 42LB6200-ZE are as follows:

To automatically tune the programmes on your LG 42LB6200-ZE, navigate to SETTINGS > SETUP > Auto Tuning. This will automatically tune the available programmes.

• If the Input Source is not connected properly, programme registration may not work.

• Auto Tuning only finds programmes that are currently broadcasting.

• If the Lock System is turned on, a pop-up window will appear asking for a password.

To calibrate and adjust for optimum picture quality, go to SETTINGS > PICTURE > Picture Wizard III. This feature allows you to adjust the picture using the remote control without needing expensive pattern devices.

To select a picture mode optimized for your viewing environment, go to SETTINGS > PICTURE > Picture Mode. The available modes are:

• Vivid: Heightens contrast, brightness, and sharpness to display vivid images.

• Standard: Displays images in standard levels of contrast, brightness, and sharpness.

• Eco/APS: The Energy Saver feature changes settings on the TV to reduce power consumption.

• Cinema/Game: Displays the optimum picture for movies or games.

• Sports: Optimizes the video image for high and dynamic actions by emphasizing primary colours such as white, grass, or sky blue.

• Expert 1, 2: Menu for adjusting picture quality that allows experts and amateurs to enjoy the best TV viewing. This is the adjustment menu provided for ISF-certified picture tuning professionals.

To access advanced picture settings, go to SETTINGS > PICTURE > Picture Mode > Advanced Control / Expert Control. These settings allow you to calibrate the screen for each picture mode:

• Dynamic Contrast: Adjusts contrast to the optimal level according to image brightness.

• Dynamic Colour: Adjusts colours to make the image appear more natural.

• Skin Colour: Sets the skin colour spectrum separately.

• Sky Colour: Sky colour is set separately.

• Grass Colour: Natural colour spectrum (meadows, hills, etc.) can be separately set.

• Gamma: Sets the gradation curve.

• Colour Gamut: Selects the range of colours that can be expressed.

• Edge Enhancer: Shows clearer and more distinctive yet natural edges of the video.

• Colour Filter: Filters a specific colour spectrum in RGB colours to fine-tune colour saturation and hue.

• Colour Temperature: Adjusts the overall tone of the screen.

• Colour Management System: A system used by experts to adjust colour with a test pattern.

To adjust detailed settings for images, navigate to SETTINGS > PICTURE > Picture Mode > Picture Option. The options include:

• Noise Reduction: Eliminates noise in the picture.

• MPEG Noise Reduction: Eliminates noise generated while creating digital picture signals.

• Black Level: Adjusts the brightness and contrast of the screen to suit the black level of the input picture.

• Real Cinema: Optimizes the screen for movie viewing.

• Motion Eye Care/SUPER Energy Saving: Saves power consumption by adjusting brightness corresponding to the image movement.

To reduce power consumption by adjusting screen brightness, go to SETTINGS > PICTURE > Energy Saving. The available options are:

• Auto: The TV sensor detects ambient lighting and automatically adjusts screen brightness.

• Off: Turns off the Energy Saving mode.

• Minimum / Medium / Maximum: Applies the pre-set Energy Saving mode.

• Screen Off: The screen is turned off and only sound is played. Press any button (except Power) on the remote to turn the screen back on.

You can choose the sound output source by navigating through the settings.

• To use the TV speaker: Go to SETTINGS > AUDIO > Sound Out > TV Speaker.

• To use an External Speaker (Optical): Go to SETTINGS > AUDIO > Sound Out > External Speaker (Optical). Sound is output through a speaker connected to the optical port. SimpLink is supported.

• To connect and use an LG audio device (Optical): Go to SETTINGS > AUDIO > Sound Out > LG Sound Sync (Optical). Connect an LG audio device to the optical digital audio output port.

• To use Headphones: Go to SETTINGS > AUDIO > Sound Out > Headphone. Sound is output through the headphone port.

SIMPLINK allows you to control various multimedia devices with your TV remote.

1. Connect the TV’s HDMI IN terminal to the SIMPLINK device’s HDMI output terminal with an HDMI cable.

2. Select INPUT(OPTION) > SIMPLINK. The SIMPLINK menu window will appear.

3. In the SIMPLINK Setting window, set the SIMPLINK function to ON.

4. In the SIMPLINK menu window, select the device you want to control.

SIMPLINK function descriptions:

• Direct Play: Plays the multimedia device on the TV instantly.

• Select multimedia device: Selects the desired device via the SIMPLINK menu to control it from the TV screen.

• Disc playback: Manages the multimedia device with the TV remote control.

• Power off all devices: When you power off the TV, all connected devices are turned off.

• Sync Power on: When equipment with SIMPLINK starts to play, the TV will automatically turn on.

• Speaker: Select the speaker on either the home theatre unit or the TV.

To set or change the TV password, go to SETTINGS > LOCK > Set Password. The initial password is set to ‘0000’.

To delete all stored information and reset TV settings, go to SETTINGS > OPTION > Factory Reset. The TV will turn itself off and back on, and all settings will be reset.

• When the Lock System is in place, a pop-up window appears and asks for a password.

• Do not turn off the power during initialization.

When using a USB storage device with your LG 42LB6200-ZE, please be aware of the following:

• If the USB device has a built-in auto recognition program or uses its own driver, it may not work.

• Use only USB storage devices formatted with the Windows FAT32 or NTFS File System.

• For external USB HDDs, it is recommended to use devices with a rated voltage of less than 5 V and a rated current of less than 500 mA.

• It is recommended to use USB memory sticks of 32 GB or less and USB HDDs of 1 TB or less.

• If a USB HDD with a power-saving function does not work properly, turn the power off and on.

• Data in the USB storage device can be damaged, so be sure to back up important files. Data maintenance is the user’s responsibility.

Go to Q.MENU > USB Device and select the USB storage device that you want to remove. When you see a message that the USB device has been removed, you can safely separate the device from the TV.

Please observe the following safety precautions when viewing 3D content:

Viewing Environment and Time:

• Take 5-15 minute breaks every hour when watching 3D content. Viewing for a long period may cause headaches, dizziness, fatigue, or eye strain.

• Maintain a viewing distance of at least twice the screen’s diagonal length.

Photosensitive Seizure or Chronic Illness:

• Some users may experience seizures or other abnormal symptoms when exposed to flashing lights or patterns from 3D content.

• Do not watch 3D videos if you feel nausea, are pregnant, or have a chronic illness such as epilepsy, cardiac disorder, or blood pressure disease.

• 3D content is not recommended for those who suffer from stereo blindness or stereo anomaly.

Symptoms Requiring Discontinuation of 3D Viewing:

• Do not watch 3D content when you feel fatigued from lack of sleep, overwork, or drinking.

• If you experience symptoms like headache, eyeball pain, dizziness, nausea, or blurriness, stop watching 3D content and rest. Consult your doctor if symptoms persist.

Cautions for 3D Glasses:

• Make sure to use LG 3D glasses.

• Do not use 3D glasses in place of your normal glasses, sunglasses, or protective goggles.

• Do not keep your 3D glasses in extremely high or low temperatures, as it will cause deformation.

• The 3D glasses are fragile and easily scratched. Always use a soft, clean cloth when wiping the lenses.

To keep your TV in the best condition, clean it regularly. Always turn the power off and disconnect all cables first.

Screen, frame, cabinet, and stand:

• To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

• To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• Do not push, rub, or hit the screen surface with your fingernail or a sharp object.

• Do not use any chemicals as this may damage the product.

• Do not spray liquid onto the surface.

Power cord:

Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.

If your LG 42LB6200-ZE turns off suddenly, please check the following:

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may be interrupted.

• Check if the Automatic Standby, Sleep Timer, or Off Time feature is activated in the TIME settings.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, it will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.

If you cannot control your LG 42LB6200-ZE with the remote control, try the following steps:

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and properly installed (positive to positive, negative to negative).

If there is no image or sound, please check the following:

• Check if the product is turned on.

• Check if the power cord is connected to a wall outlet.
