To attach the stand to your LG 39LB561U-ZE TV, please follow these steps. Note that the image shown in the manual may differ from your TV model.

First, place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches.

There are two types of stand assemblies depending on your specific model:

For models LB55**, LB56**-ZE / ZC, LB62**-ZA / ZB:

1. Attach the Stand Base (Part A) to the Stand Base (Part B).

2. Secure the assembled stand to the TV using the provided screws. For the 39LB56** model, use the four M4 x L14 screws.

For models LB56**-ZT / ZQ, LB62**-ZE:

1. Attach the Stand Base (Part B) to the Stand Base (Part A).

2. Secure the assembled stand to the TV using the provided screws. For the 39LB56** model, use the four M4 x L14 screws.

Connect your LG 39LB561U-ZE to a wall antenna socket using an RF cable (75 Ω). The antenna cable and converter are not supplied with the TV.

Follow these tips for the best connection:

• If you need to use more than 2 TVs, use a signal splitter.

• If the image quality is poor, install a signal amplifier correctly to improve the image quality.

• If the image quality is poor with a connected antenna, try to realign the antenna in the correct direction.

Supported DTV Audio formats are: MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and HE-AAC.

If your LG 39LB561U-ZE is a satellite model, you can connect it to a satellite dish to a satellite socket using a satellite RF cable (75 Ω). The satellite dish and cable are not provided.

The Euro Scart connection transmits video and audio signals from an external device to your LG 39LB561U-ZE. Connect the external device and the TV set with a Euro Scart cable. Note that any Euro Scart cable used must be signal shielded.

The output type from the AV1 (TV Out) port depends on the current input mode:

TV Out outputs Analogue TV or Digital TV signals depending on the input.

Your LG 39LB561U-ZE offers several ports to connect external devices. For the best picture and audio quality, it is recommended to use an HDMI cable where possible.

Rear Panel Connections:

• HDMI IN 1: Connects devices like a Blu-ray player, HD cable box, HD STB, or PC.

• LAN: For network connection (Only on LAN port models).

• OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT: Connects to a digital audio system.

• AV IN / COMPONENT IN: For connecting devices like a DVD player, Blu-ray player, HD cable box, or VCR using component (Y, PB, PR) or composite (Video) cables along with stereo audio (L/R) cables.

• ANTENNA/CABLE IN: For connecting a wall antenna socket.

• LNB Satellite IN: For connecting a satellite dish (Only on satellite models).

Side Panel Connections:

• PCMCIA CARD SLOT: Allows use of a CI module to view encrypted services.

• USB IN: For connecting USB storage devices or a USB HDD.

• HDMI IN 2 (MHL): A second HDMI port, which may support MHL for connecting mobile devices (varies by model).

• H/P OUT: For connecting headphones.

When connecting various external devices to your LG 39LB561U-ZE, follow these guidelines:

• The external device connection layout may differ slightly from the model shown in the manual.

• You can connect external devices to the TV regardless of the order of the TV port.

• If you are recording a TV programme on a DVD recorder or VCR, ensure the TV signal input cable is connected to the TV through the DVD recorder or VCR.

• Always refer to the external equipment’s manual for its specific operating instructions.

• If you connect a gaming device, use the cable supplied with the gaming device.

• PC Mode Note: When using the TV as a PC monitor, you may experience noise associated with resolution, vertical pattern, contrast, or brightness. If noise is present, try changing the PC output to another resolution, changing the refresh rate, or adjusting the brightness and contrast in the TV’s PICTURE menu until the picture is clear. Some PC resolution settings may not work properly depending on the graphics card.

To prevent your LG 39LB561U-ZE from being scratched or damaged and to ensure safe transportation, please follow this advice:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may cause damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the box or packing material that it originally came in.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• When transporting the TV, do not expose it to jolts or excessive vibration.

• Always keep the TV upright during transport; never turn it on its side or tilt it left or right.

• Do not apply excessive pressure that could cause the frame chassis to flex or bend, as this may damage the screen.

Mounting on a table:

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a minimum of 10 cm (4 inches) of space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

Caution: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

Securing the TV to a wall (This feature is not available for all models):

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts, on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt position, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket with the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface.

Note: Brackets, bolts, and ropes are not provided. You can obtain additional accessories from your local dealer. Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely.

To mount your LG 39LB561U-ZE, attach an optional wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV and install it on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer.

Important Cautions:

• Disconnect the power first before moving or installing the TV to avoid electric shock.

• Use an authorized LG wall mount. If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury.

• Do not over-tighten the screws, as this may cause damage and void your warranty.

• Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Any damage or injuries from misuse are not covered by the warranty.

VESA Standards for Wall Mounting:

You can operate your TV’s functions by pressing or moving the joystick button located below the TV screen.

Basic Functions:

• Power On: When the TV is off, place your finger on the joystick button, press it once, and release it.

• Power Off: When the TV is on, press and hold the joystick button for a few seconds and release. If the menu is on the screen, pressing and holding the button will exit the menu.

• Volume Control: Move the joystick button left or right to adjust the volume.

• Programmes Control: Move the joystick button up or down to scroll through the saved programmes.

Note: When moving the joystick up, down, left, or right, be careful not to press it. If you press the joystick button first, you cannot adjust the volume level or saved programmes.

Adjusting the Menu:

When the TV is on, press the joystick button once to bring up the menu. You can adjust the menu items by moving the joystick up, down, left, or right.

• TV off: Turns the power off.

• Settings: Accesses the main menu.

• Close: Clears on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing.

• Input List: Changes the input source.

The remote control for your LG 39LB561U-ZE (LB56** models) has the following functions:

• POWER: Turns the TV on or off.

• TV/RAD: Selects Radio, TV, and DTV programmes.

• SUBTITLE: Recalls your preferred subtitle in digital mode.

• AD: By pressing the AD button, the audio descriptions function will be enabled.

• RATIO: Resizes an image.

• Q.MENU: Accesses the Quick menus.

• Navigation buttons (up/down/left/right): Scrolls through menus or options.

• OK: Selects menus or options and confirms your input.

• BACK: Returns to the previous level.

• EXIT: Clears on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing.

• AV MODE: Selects an AV mode.

• REC: Starts to record and displays the record menu (Only for Time MachineReady supported models).

• Control buttons (Play, Pause, etc.): Controls the MY MEDIA menus, Time MachineReady control, or SIMPLINK compatible devices.

• Colour buttons (Red, Green, Yellow, Blue): Access special functions in some menus.

Clean your LG 39LB561U-ZE TV regularly to keep the best performance and extend its lifespan.

Power cord:

• Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.

If your LG 39LB561U-ZE turns off suddenly, please check the following:

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may have been interrupted.

• Check if the Automatic Standby (depending on model), Sleep Timer, or Off Time feature is activated in the TIME settings.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, it will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity. This is a normal function.

If you encounter a ‘No signal’ or ‘Invalid Format’ message when your PC is connected via HDMI, try these steps:

1. Turn the TV off and then on again using the remote control.

2. Reconnect the HDMI cable, ensuring it is securely plugged in at both ends.

3. Restart the PC while the TV is on.

If the remote control is not working with your LG 39LB561U-ZE, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
