To attach the stand to your LG 32LB563U-ZT, please follow these steps. Note that the image shown in the manual may differ from your TV model.

CAUTION: When attaching the stand to the TV set, place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches.

There are two types of stand assembly depending on your specific model series (LB55/LB56-ZE/ZC/LB62-ZA/ZB vs. LB56-ZT/ZQ/LB62-ZE). Both involve attaching a Stand Base (Part A) to a Stand Base (Part B) and then securing the assembly to the TV.

1. Lay the TV screen-down on a soft, flat surface.

2. Align the stand base with the mounting points on the bottom of the TV.

3. Insert and tighten the screws provided to secure the stand to the TV. You will need 4 screws (4EA).

For model 32LB563U-ZT, use M4 x L14 screws.

To connect your LG 32LB563U-ZT to a wall antenna socket, use an RF cable (75 Ω).

NOTE:

• Use a signal splitter if you need to connect more than 2 TVs.

• If the image quality is poor, install a signal amplifier properly to improve the image quality.

• If the image quality is poor with an antenna connected, try to realign the antenna in the correct direction.

• An antenna cable and converter are not supplied.

• Supported DTV Audio formats are: MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, HE-AAC.

For satellite models of the LG 32LB563U-ZT, connect the TV to a satellite dish to a satellite socket using a satellite RF cable (75 Ω). The connection port is labeled LNB Satellite IN.

The Euro Scart connection on your LG 32LB563U-ZT transmits video and audio signals from an external device to the TV set. Connect the external device and the TV set with a Euro Scart cable.

NOTE: Any Euro Scart cable used must be signal shielded.

The following table shows the output type from the AV1 (TV Out) port based on the current input mode:

The TV Out outputs Analogue TV or Digital TV signals.

You can connect various external devices to your LG 32LB563U-ZT, such as HD receivers, DVD players, VCRs, audio systems, USB storage devices, PCs, and gaming devices. For the best picture and audio quality, it is recommended to use an HDMI cable.

Connection options include:

• HDMI: For devices like DVD/Blu-Ray players, HD Cable Boxes, HD STB, or PCs.

• Component IN / AV IN 2: For devices like DVD/Blu-Ray players or HD Cable Boxes. Match the cable colors (Green, Blue, Red for video; Red, White for audio).

• AV IN: For devices like VCRs or older DVD/Blu-Ray players. Match the cable colors (Yellow for video; Red, White for audio).

• OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT: To connect to a Digital Audio System.

• USB IN: To connect USB storage devices or a hard drive (HDD).

• Headphone (H/P OUT): To connect headphones.

• PCMCIA card slot: For a CI Module.

Note:

• Connect external devices to the TV regardless of the order of the TV port.

• If you record a TV programme on a DVD recorder or VCR, ensure the TV signal input cable is connected to the TV through the recorder.

• In PC mode, noise may be associated with resolution, vertical pattern, contrast, or brightness. If noise is present, change the PC output to another resolution, change the refresh rate, or adjust the brightness and contrast on the PICTURE menu until the picture is clear.

You can operate the TV functions on your LG 32LB563U-ZT by pressing or moving the joystick button located below the TV screen.

Basic Functions:

• Power On: When the TV is off, place your finger on the joystick button and press it once and release it.

• Power Off: When the TV is on, place your finger on the joystick button and press it once for a few seconds and release it. (If the Menu is on screen, pressing and holding the button will exit the Menu.)

• Volume Control: Move the joystick button left or right to adjust the volume.

• Programmes Control: Move the joystick button up or down to scroll through the saved programmes.

Adjusting the Menu:

When the TV is on, press the joystick button once. You can then adjust the Menu items by moving the joystick up, down, left, or right.

• TV off: Turns the power off.

• Settings: Accesses the main menu.

• Close: Clears on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing.

• Input List: Changes the input source.

To prevent your LG 32LB563U-ZT from being scratched or damaged and for safe transportation, please follow this advice:

CAUTION:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the box or packing material that it originally came in.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Make sure not to hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• When transporting the TV by hand, hold the TV as shown in the illustrations.

• When transporting, do not expose the TV to jolts or excessive vibration.

• Keep the TV upright; never turn it on its side or tilt it towards the left or right.

• Do not apply excessive pressure to cause flexing/bending of the frame chassis as it may damage the screen.

Mounting on a table:

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (minimum) space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

CAUTION: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

Securing the TV to a wall (This feature is not available for all models):

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts on the back of the TV. If there are bolts already in the eye-bolt positions, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with the bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket and the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface.

NOTE:

• Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely.

• Brackets, bolts and ropes are not provided. You can obtain additional accessories from your local dealer.

To mount your LG 32LB563U-ZT, attach an optional wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV and install it on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer.

CAUTION:

• Disconnect the power first, and then move or install the TV. Otherwise, electric shock may occur.

• If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury. Use an authorized LG wall mount and contact your local dealer or qualified personnel.

• Do not over-tighten the screws as this may cause damage to the TV and void your warranty.

• Use the screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Any damages or injuries by misuse or using an improper accessory are not covered by the warranty.

Make sure to use screws and a wall mount bracket that meet the VESA standard. Standard dimensions for the wall mount kits are described below:

To use the remote control, point it toward the remote control sensor on the TV. The button functions are described below. (Note: Remote control layout may vary by model series, LB55/LB56 vs LB62).

You can adjust the picture on your LG 32LB563U-ZT for the optimal viewing experience using various settings.

• Auto Tuning: (SETTINGS → SETUP → Auto Tuning) Automatically tunes the programmes. If the Input Source is not connected properly, registration may not work.

• Picture Wizard III: (SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Wizard III) Calibrates and adjusts for optimum picture quality using the remote control without expensive pattern devices.

• Picture Mode: (SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode) Select the mode optimized for your viewing environment.

– Vivid: Heightens contrast, brightness and sharpness.

– Standard: Displays images in standard levels of contrast, brightness and sharpness.

– Eco/APS: The Energy Saver feature changes settings to reduce power consumption.

– Cinema/Game: Displays the optimum picture for movies or games.

– Sports: Optimizes the video image for high and dynamic actions.

– Expert 1, 2: Menu for adjusting picture quality that allows experts to enjoy the best TV viewing. This is for ISF-certified tuning professionals.

• Advanced Control / Expert Control: (SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode → Advanced Control / Expert Control) Calibrates the screen for each picture mode with options like Dynamic Contrast, Dynamic Colour, Skin Colour, Gamma, Colour Gamut, Edge Enhancer, and more.

You can manage the audio output on your LG 32LB563U-ZT through the following settings:

• TV Speaker: (SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → TV Speaker) Sound is output through the TV speaker.

• External Speaker (Optical): (SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → External Speaker (Optical)) Sound is output through the speaker connected to the optical port. SimpLink is supported.

• LG Sound Sync (Optical): (SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → LG Sound Sync (Optical)) Connect an LG audio device with the Sound Sync logo to the optical digital audio output port for rich, powerful sound.

• Headphone: (SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → Headphone) Sound is output through the headphones connected to the earphone/headphone port.

• AV Sync. Adjust: (SETTINGS → AUDIO → AV Sync. Adjust) Synchronizes video and audio directly when they do not match. If you set it to ON, you can adjust the sound output to the screen image.

SIMPLINK allows you to control and manage various multimedia devices conveniently via the SIMPLINK menu using your TV remote. This function is only compatible with devices that have the SIMPLINK logo.

1. Connect the TV’s HDMI IN terminal and the SIMPLINK device’s HDMI output terminal using a high-speed HDMI® cable (with CEC feature added).

2. Select INPUT(OPTION) → SIMPLINK. The SIMPLINK menu window will appear.

3. In the SIMPLINK Setting window, set the SIMPLINK function to ON.

4. In the SIMPLINK menu window, select the device you want to control.

SIMPLINK Function Description:

• Direct Play: Plays the multimedia device on the TV instantly.

• Select multimedia device: Selects the desired device via the SIMPLINK menu to control it from the TV screen.

• Disc playback: Manages the multimedia device with the TV remote control.

• Power off all devices: When you power off the TV, all connected devices are turned off.

• Sync Power on: When equipment with SIMPLINK function connected to an HDMI terminal starts to play, the TV will automatically turn on.

• Speaker: Select the speaker on either the home theatre unit or the TV.

To use a USB storage device, connect it to the USB IN port on your LG 32LB563U-ZT. To remove it safely, go to Q.MENU → USB Device and select the device to remove.

Warning:

• If the USB storage device has a built-in auto recognition program or uses its own driver, it may not work.

• Use only USB storage devices formatted with the Windows FAT32 or NTFS File System.

• For external USB HDDs, it is recommended to use devices with a rated voltage of less than 5 V and a rated current of less than 500 mA.

• It is recommended to use USB memory sticks of 32 GB or less and USB HDDs of 1 TB or less.

• If a USB HDD with a power-saving function does not work properly, turn the power off and on.

• Data on the USB storage device can be damaged, so be sure to back up important files. Data maintenance is the user’s responsibility.

If you cannot control the TV with the remote control, try the following solutions:

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and properly installed (match + to + and – to -).

If there is no image display and no sound is produced, follow these steps:

• Check if the product is turned on.

• Check if the power cord is connected to a wall outlet.

• Check if there is a problem in the wall outlet by connecting other products.

If your TV turns off suddenly, check the following:

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may be interrupted.

• Check if the Automatic Standby, Sleep Timer, or Off Time feature is activated in the TIME settings.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, the TV will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.

If you see a ‘No signal’ or ‘Invalid Format’ message when connected to a PC via HDMI, try these steps:

• Turn the TV off/on using the remote control.

• Reconnect the HDMI cable.

• Restart the PC with the TV on.

Clean your TV regularly to keep the best performance and to extend the product lifespan.

CAUTION: Make sure to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord and all other cables first.

Screen, frame, cabinet and stand:

• To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

• To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

CAUTION:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage to the screen.

• Do not push, rub, or hit the screen surface with your fingernail or a sharp object, as this may result in scratches and image distortions.

• Do not use any chemicals as this may damage the product.

• Do not spray liquid onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

Power cord:

Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.
