To attach the stand to your LG 32LB550B-ZA TV, please follow these steps. Note that the image shown in the manual may differ from your TV.

1. Place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches.

2. Assemble the stand parts. First, attach the ‘A Stand Base’ to the ‘B Stand Base’.

3. Attach the assembled stand to the TV set.

4. Secure the stand to the TV using the provided screws. For the 32LB55** model, you will need 4 screws of the size M4 x L20.

To connect your LG 32LB550B-ZA TV to a wall antenna socket, use an RF cable (75 Ω). The antenna cable and converter are not supplied with the TV.

Notes on Antenna Connection:

• Use a signal splitter if you want to connect more than 2 TVs.

• If the image quality is poor, install a signal amplifier properly to improve the image quality.

• If the image quality is poor with an antenna connected, try to realign the antenna in the correct direction.

• Supported DTV Audio for your LG TV includes MPEG, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and HE-AAC.

You can transmit video and audio signals from an external device to your LG 32LB550B-ZA using a Euro Scart cable. Connect the external device and the TV set with the Euro Scart cable as shown in your manual’s diagram. Any Euro Scart cable used must be signal shielded.

The type of signal output from the TV’s AV1 (TV Out) port depends on the current input mode:

You can connect various external devices like HD receivers, DVD players, VCRs, audio systems, USB storage devices, PCs, and gaming devices to your LG 32LB550B-ZA. For detailed connection information, refer to the manual provided with each device.

General Guidelines:

• The external device connection may differ from the model.

• Connect external devices to the TV regardless of the order of the TV port.

• If you record a TV programme on a DVD recorder or VCR, ensure the TV signal input cable is connected to the TV through the DVD recorder or VCR.

• If you connect a gaming device, use the cable supplied with it.

• In PC mode, noise may be associated with the resolution, vertical pattern, contrast, or brightness. If noise is present, change the PC output to another resolution, change the refresh rate, or adjust the brightness and contrast on the PICTURE menu until the picture is clear.

• In PC mode, some resolution settings may not work properly depending on the graphics card.

The Joystick button is located below the TV screen. You can operate TV functions by pressing or moving the joystick button up, down, left, or right.

Power On: When the TV is turned off, place your finger on the joystick button and press it once and release it.

Power Off: When the TV is turned on, place your finger on the joystick button and press it once for a few seconds and release it. (If the Menu button is on the screen, pressing and holding the joystick button will exit the Menu.)

Volume Control: If you place your finger over the joystick button and move it left or right, you can adjust the volume level.

Programmes Control: If you place your finger over the joystick button and move it up or down, you can scroll through the saved programmes.

Note: When you move the joystick button, be careful not to press it first. If you press the joystick button first, you cannot adjust the volume level and saved programmes.

When the TV is turned on, press the joystick button one time. You can then adjust the Menu items by moving the joystick button up, down, left, or right.

• TV off: Turns the power off.

• Settings: Accesses the main menu.

• Close: Clears on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing.

• Input List: Changes the input source.

To prevent your LG 32LB550B-ZA from being scratched or damaged and for safe transportation, please follow this advice:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the box or packing material it originally came in.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Do not hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

• When transporting a large TV, there should be at least 2 people.

• When transporting the TV, do not expose it to jolts or excessive vibration.

• Keep the TV upright; never turn the TV on its side or tilt it towards the left or right.

• Do not apply excessive pressure that could cause the frame chassis to flex or bend, as it may damage the screen.

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (minimum) space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

Caution: Do not place the TV near or on sources of heat, as this may result in fire or other damage.

To secure your LG 32LB550B-ZA to a wall to prevent it from falling (this feature is not available for all models):

1. Insert and tighten the eye-bolts, or TV brackets and bolts on the back of the TV. If there are already bolts in the eye-bolt positions, remove them first.

2. Mount the wall brackets with the bolts to the wall. Match the location of the wall bracket and the eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.

3. Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly with a sturdy rope. Make sure to keep the rope horizontal with the flat surface.

Note:

• Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and large enough to support the TV securely.

• Brackets, bolts, and ropes are not provided. You can obtain additional accessories from your local dealer.

Caution: Make sure that children do not climb on or hang on the TV.

Attach an optional wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV and install it on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer.

Important Precautions:

• Disconnect the power first, and then move or install the TV. Otherwise, an electric shock may occur.

• If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury. Use an authorized LG wall mount.

• Do not over-tighten the screws as this may cause damage to the TV and void your warranty.

• Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Any damages or injuries by misuse or using an improper accessory are not covered by the warranty.

Wall Mount Specifications for 32LB55** Models:

The remote control for your LG 32LB550B-ZA has the following functions:

• POWER: Turns the TV on or off.

• TV/RAD: Selects Radio, TV and DTV programme.

• SUBTITLE: Recalls your preferred subtitle in digital mode.

• AD: By pressing the AD button, audio descriptions function will be enabled.

• RATIO: Resizes an image.

• INPUT: Changes the input source.

• Number buttons: Enters numbers.

• LIST: Accesses the saved programme list.

• Q.VIEW: Returns to the previously viewed programme.

• +/- buttons: Adjusts the volume level.

• FAV: Accesses your favourite programme list.

• Control buttons (Play, Pause, etc.): Controls the MY MEDIA menus, Time MachineReady control or the SIMPLINK compatible devices.

• Colour buttons (Red, Green, Yellow, Blue): These access special functions in some menus.

To automatically tune the programmes on your LG 32LB550B-ZA, go to SETTINGS → SETUP → Auto Tuning.

• If the Input Source is not connected properly, programme registration may not work.

• Auto Tuning only finds programmes that are currently broadcasting.

• If the Lock System is turned on, a pop-up window will appear asking for a password.

To calibrate and adjust for optimum picture quality, go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Wizard III. This feature allows you to adjust the picture using the remote control without expensive pattern devices or professional help.

To select a picture mode optimized for your viewing environment or programme, go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Picture Mode.

• Vivid: Heightens contrast, brightness and sharpness to display vivid images.

• Standard: Displays images in standard levels of contrast, brightness and sharpness.

• Eco/APS: The Energy Saver feature changes settings on the TV to reduce power consumption.

• Cinema/Game: Displays the optimum picture for movies or games.

• Sports: Optimizes the video image for high and dynamic actions by emphasizing primary colours such as white, grass, or sky blue.

• Expert 1, 2: Menu for adjusting picture quality that allows experts and amateurs to enjoy the best TV viewing. This is the adjustment menu provided for ISF-certified picture tuning professionals.

To reduce power consumption by adjusting screen brightness, go to SETTINGS → PICTURE → Energy Saving.

• Auto: The TV sensor detects the ambient lighting and automatically adjusts the screen brightness.

• Off: Turns off the Energy Saving mode.

• Minimum / Medium / Maximum: Applies the pre-set Energy Saving mode.

• Screen Off: The screen is turned off and only sound is played. Press any button except the Power button on the remote control to turn the screen back on.

You can choose where the sound comes from on your LG 32LB550B-ZA.

To use the TV speaker:

Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → TV Speaker. Sound is output through the TV speaker.

To use an External Speaker (Optical):

Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → External Speaker (Optical). Sound is output through the speaker connected to the optical port. SimpLink is supported.

To use a Headphone:

Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → Headphone. Sound is output through the headphone connected to the earphone/headphone port.

To connect and use an LG audio device (Optical):

Go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → LG Sound Sync (Optical). Connect an LG audio device to the optical digital audio output port.

To set up the Digital Sound Out, go to SETTINGS → AUDIO → Sound Out → External Speaker (Optical) → Digital Sound Out.

The output format depends on the audio input:

If video and audio are not matched, you can synchronize them directly by going to SETTINGS → AUDIO → AV Sync. Adjust. If you set AV Sync. Adjust to ON, you can adjust the sound output (TV speakers or SPDIF) to the screen image.

To set or change the TV password, go to SETTINGS → LOCK → Set Password. The initial password is set to ‘0000’.

To delete all stored information and reset the TV settings, go to SETTINGS → OPTION → Factory Reset. The TV will turn itself off and back on, and all settings will be reset.

• When the Lock System is in place, a pop-up window will appear and ask for the password.

• Do not turn off the power during initialization.

To remove a USB storage device, press Q.MENU and select USB Device. Select the USB storage device you want to remove. When you see a message that the USB device has been removed, you can separate the device from the TV. Once a USB device has been selected for removal, it can no longer be read. You will need to remove it and then re-connect it to use it again.

• If the USB storage device has a built-in auto recognition program or uses its own driver, it may not work.

• Some USB storage devices may not work or may work incorrectly.

• Use only USB storage devices formatted with the Windows FAT32 or NTFS File System.

• For external USB HDDs, it is recommended that you use devices with a rated voltage of less than 5 V and a rated current of less than 500 mA.

• It is recommended that you use USB memory sticks of 32 GB or less and USB HDDs of 1 TB or less.

• If a USB HDD with a power-saving function does not work properly, turn the power off and on. For more information, refer to the user manual of the USB HDD.

• Data in the USB storage device can be damaged, so be sure to back up important files to other devices. Data maintenance is the user’s responsibility.

• Photo size limits apply, for example for JPEG, the maximum normal type is 15360 (W) x 8640 (H).

• BMP and PNG format files may be slower to display than JPEG.

Clean your TV regularly to keep the best performance and to extend the product lifespan.

Initial Steps:

• Make sure to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord and all other cables first.

• When the TV is left unattended and unused for a long time, disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet to prevent possible damage from lightning or power surges.

Screen, frame, cabinet and stand:

• To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

• To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

Power cord:

Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.

Caution:

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage to the screen.

• Do not push, rub, or hit the screen surface with your fingernail or a sharp object, as this may result in scratches and image distortions.

• Do not use any chemicals as this may damage the product.

• Do not spray liquid onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

• Check the remote control sensor on the product and try again.

• Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.

• Check if the batteries are still working and properly installed.

• Check if the product is turned on.

• Check if the power cord is connected to a wall outlet.

• Check if there is a problem in the wall outlet by connecting other products.

• Check the power control settings. The power supply may be interrupted.

• Check if the Automatic Standby, Sleep Timer, or Off Time feature is activated in the TIME settings.

• If there is no signal while the TV is on, the TV will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.

• Turn the TV off/on using the remote control.

• Reconnect the HDMI cable.

• Restart the PC with the TV on.
