To attach the stand base to your LG 20EN33SS monitor, follow these steps:

1. Place the monitor with the screen side down on a flat and cushioned surface. It is recommended to lay a foam mat or soft protective cloth on the surface to protect the screen from damage.

2. Attach the Stand Body to the monitor set.

3. Attach the Stand Base to the Stand Body.

4. Tighten the screw on the bottom of the Stand Base to the right with a coin.

To detach the stand from your LG 20EN33SS monitor, follow these steps:

1. Place the monitor with the screen side down on a flat and cushioned surface.

2. Pull out the Stand Body and Stand Base from the monitor set.

3. Turn the screw on the bottom of the Stand Base to the left with a coin.

4. Pull out the Stand Base from the Stand Body.

1. Lift and tilt the LG 20EN33SS monitor into its upright position on a table. For proper ventilation, leave a minimum of 10 cm of space between the monitor and the wall.

2. Connect the AC-DC Adapter and Power Cord to a wall outlet.

3. Press the (Power) button on the bottom switch panel to turn the power on.

CAUTION: Unplug the power cord before moving the monitor to another location to avoid electric shock.

You can adjust the angle of the LG 20EN33SS monitor to suit your view. Tilt the screen from +20 degrees up to -5 degrees down.

WARNINGS:

• When adjusting the angle, do not hold the bottom of the monitor set frame, as this may injure your fingers.

• Do not touch or press the screen when adjusting the angle of the monitor.

• Do not hold the monitor by the stand. The monitor screen can detach from the stand base and cause injury.

Yes, you can mount the LG 20EN33SS monitor on a wall. For proper ventilation, allow a clearance of 10 cm on each side and from the wall. You will need to use an optional wall mounting interface.

Mounting Instructions:

1. Use screws and a wall mount interface that comply with VESA Standards.

2. If you use a screw longer than the standard, the monitor might be damaged internally.

3. If you use an improper screw, the product might be damaged and drop from its mounted position. LG Electronics is not responsible for this.

4. The LG 20EN33SS is VESA compatible. Please use the VESA standard as below:

CAUTION:

• Disconnect the power cord before moving or installing the monitor to prevent electric shock.

• If you install the monitor on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury.

• Use only an authorized LG wall mount and contact your local dealer or qualified personnel.

• Do not over-tighten the screws, as this may cause damage to the monitor and void your warranty.

The LG 20EN33SS monitor supports Plug & Play, which means your PC should recognize it without needing manual configuration.

To connect using the D-SUB connection for analog video:

1. Connect the PC and the monitor set with the supplied D-sub 15-pin signal cable.

2. Connect the D-SUB cable to the D-SUB port on the back of the monitor and the RGB OUT port on your PC.

3. Tighten the screws on the cable connector clockwise to secure it.

4. Connect the power adapter to the DC-IN port on the monitor and plug the power cord into a wall outlet.

Note for Mac users: For Apple Macintosh use, a separate plug adapter is needed to change the 15-pin high-density (3 row) D-SUB VGA connector on the supplied cable to a 15-pin 2-row connector.

Both functions are only supported in Analog (D-SUB) Mode.

• **”Self Image Setting” Function:** This function provides you with optimal display settings. When you connect the monitor for the first time, this function automatically adjusts the display to optimal settings for the input signal.

• **’AUTO’ Function:** If you encounter problems such as a blurry screen, blurred letters, screen flicker, or a tilted screen while using the device or after changing the screen resolution, press the AUTO function button to improve the resolution.

The buttons on the bottom of the LG 20EN33SS monitor control various settings through the On-Screen Display (OSD).

1. Press the MENU button on the bottom of the monitor to display the Menu OSD.

2. Use the ◄, ►, or ▼ buttons to select and adjust options.

3. Select “Next Menu” to enter more advanced settings.

The main menu options are:

• Brightness: To adjust the brightness of the screen.
• Contrast: To adjust the contrast of the screen.
• Wide/Original: Choose ‘Wide’ to switch to full-screen mode or ‘Original’ to maintain the input image signal’s original ratio. This function only works if the input resolution is lower than the monitor’s 16:9 ratio.
• Reset: Restore all factory default settings.

The “Next Menu” contains the following sub-menus:

• Picture: Adjusts the clearness of the screen (Sharpness).
• Color: Customizes the color of the screen (Gamma, Color Temp).
• Display: Adjusts the position of the screen (Horizontal, Vertical, Clock, Phase).
• Others: Customizes screen status options (Language, Power Indicator).

You can customize the color of the screen in the ‘Color’ menu. To access it, press MENU > select ‘Next Menu’ > select ‘Color’.

• Gamma: Set your own gamma value. Choose from Gamma 0, Gamma 1, or Gamma 2. High gamma values display whitish images, and low gamma values display blackish images.
• Color Temp: Select the screen color temperature.
  • Custom: Allows you to set your own Red, Green, and Blue color levels individually.
  • Warm: Sets the screen to a warmer color temperature (more red).
  • Medium: Sets the screen to a medium color temperature.
  • Cool: Sets the screen to a cool color temperature (more blue).

Press the FUNC. button to access the Picture Mode settings. Each mode adjusts the screen for a specific purpose.

The SUPER ENERGY SAVING feature on your LG 20EN33SS helps you save energy. You can access it by pressing the FUNC. button and selecting SUPER ENERGY SAVING.

The options are:

• **On:** Enables SUPER ENERGY SAVING.

• **Off:** Disables SUPER ENERGY SAVING.

• **Reset:** Resets the values of total energy consumption reduction and CO2 emission reduction estimates.

The SAVING DATA (W/h) for a 20-inch monitor like the LG 20EN33SS is 4 W/h with SUPER SAVING enabled. This value refers to how much power can be saved using the function and is calculated by LG using a “broadcast video signal” (IEC 62087).

Before using these functions, you must install the DUAL SMART SOLUTION program from the included CD.

DUAL DISPLAY

This function helps manage a secondary monitor.

• **Clone:** Use the secondary monitor as a clone (duplicate) of the primary monitor.

• **Extended:** Use the secondary monitor as an extension of the primary monitor.

• **Off:** DUAL DISPLAY is off.

DUAL WEB

This function helps you browse the web more efficiently.

• **On:** Helps to arrange and move windows on the screen by dividing it in half. You can also control the ratio of the divided windows.

• **Off:** DUAL WEB is off.

MY KEY is a shortcut key that provides quick access to a favorite function. You can assign one of the FUNC. menu features to the MY KEY button.

To set your MY KEY:

1. Press the FUNC. button on the bottom of the monitor.

2. Select MY KEY Setting by pressing the ► button.

3. Enter the MY KEY Setting menu by pressing the ▼ button.

4. Use the ◄ or ► buttons to select one of the following functions to be your MY KEY:

• **Picture Mode:** Adjusts the monitor for the best picture appearance.

• **SUPER ENERGY SAVING:** Enables the energy-efficient function.

• **DUAL DISPLAY:** Use Clone or Extended mode in another monitor.

• **DUAL WEB:** Helps browse web efficiently by dividing the screen.

Once set, pressing the MY KEY button on the monitor will directly open your selected favorite function.

If there is no image on your screen, check the following:

• Is the power cord of the display connected properly to the power outlet?

• Is the power indicator light on? If not, press the Power button.

• Is the power on and the power indicator Red? If so, adjust the brightness and contrast.

• Is the power indicator flickering? If the display is in power-saving mode, try moving the mouse or pressing any key on the keyboard to wake it up. You may also need to turn on the PC.

• **”OUT OF RANGE”:** This message appears when the signal from the PC (video card) is outside of the horizontal or vertical frequency range of the display. Check the ‘Specifications’ section for your monitor’s supported range and configure your display settings again.

• **”NO SIGNAL”:** This message appears when there is no signal from the PC. If the monitor is on “No-Signal” for 5 minutes, it will go into DPM (power-saving) mode.

The “OSD LOCKED” message appears when the On-Screen Display controls have been locked to prevent accidental changes. To unlock the OSD controls, press and hold the MENU button for several seconds. The message “OSD UNLOCKED” will appear, and you will be able to access the menu again.

If the display image is not correct, try the following solutions:

• **Display Position is incorrect:** Press the AUTO button to automatically adjust your display image to the ideal setting.

• **Vertical bars or stripes are visible on the screen background:** Press the AUTO button to automatically adjust your display image to the ideal setting.

• **Any horizontal noise appearing in any image or characters are not clearly portrayed:** Press the AUTO button to automatically adjust your display image to the ideal setting. Also, check Control Panel > Display > Settings and adjust the display to the recommended resolution. Set the color setting higher than 24 bits (true color).

• **The screen color is mono or abnormal:** Check if the signal cable is properly connected and use a screwdriver to fasten it if necessary. Make sure the video card is properly inserted in its slot. Set the color setting higher than 24 bits (true color) in your PC’s Control Panel Settings.

• **The screen blinks:** Check if the screen is set to interlace mode in your PC’s display settings. If yes, change it to the recommended resolution and refresh rate.

If you see this message, it likely means the display driver has not been installed.

• Be sure to install the display driver from the display driver CD that came with your LG 20EN33SS monitor.

• Make sure to check if your video card supports the Plug&Play function.

The LED color of the power indicator on your LG 20EN33SS shows the monitor’s current status:

You can turn the power indicator On or Off in the OSD menu (MENU > Next Menu > Others > Power Indicator).

To maintain proper posture and reduce strain while using your LG 20EN33SS monitor, follow these guidelines:

• Adjust the monitor and your posture to allow you to view images at the optimal viewing angle.

• Adjust the location of the monitor to avoid it reflecting light.

• Place your hands gently on the keyboard, keeping your arms bent at the elbows and horizontally straight.
