2. Before maintenance or cleaning, turn off the power at the electrical panel and lock it to prevent accidental activation. If the panel cannot be locked, attach a highly visible warning label.

3. Installation and electrical wiring must be done by a qualified person in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including fire resistance ratings.

4. When using the hood with a stove, do not close the kitchen window and door. A fuel stove consumes a lot of air, so open the door and window to ensure proper ventilation and avoid suffocation.

5. Ensure sufficient air for proper combustion and evacuation of gases through the chimney pipe to prevent backflow. Follow the safety standards of heating equipment manufacturers and local code authorities.

6. When cutting or drilling into a wall or ceiling, be careful not to damage electrical wiring or other utilities.

7. Always evacuate air outside through the conduit system. Do not exhaust air into spaces between walls, ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, or garages.

To reduce the risk of a grease fire when using your KUCHT KRH3003U, follow these guidelines:

1. Never leave the stove unattended at high temperatures. Boilovers can cause smoke and greasy spills that may ignite. Heat oil slowly at a low or medium temperature.

2. Always operate the hood when cooking at high heat or when flambéing.

3. Clean the ventilating fans frequently. Do not allow grease to accumulate on the filters or propellers.

4. Use the proper pan size. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of the stove element.

5. Do not touch a bulb that is on or has recently been turned off to avoid injury.

To avoid injury in a grease fire, follow these steps:

1. SMOTHER FLAMES with a close-fitting lid, cookie sheet, or other metal tray, then turn off the gas or power supply to the stove. BE CAREFUL NOT TO BURN YOURSELF. If the flames do not go out immediately, LEAVE AND CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.

2. NEVER PICK UP A FLAMING PAN, as you could hurt yourself.

3. DO NOT USE WATER, including wet dish towels, as this can cause a violent steam explosion.

4. Use an extinguisher only if:

• You are sure you have a Class ABC extinguisher and know how to use it.

• The fire is small and confined to the area where it started.

• The fire department has been called.

• You can fight the fire with an exit behind you.

The KUCHT KRH3003U requires a power supply of 110V-120V/60HZ. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the electrical installation is adequate and conforms to the National Electrical Code, ANSI / NFPA 70, or CSA Standards, and all local codes. The hood must be plugged directly into a 110-volt wall outlet. Do not use a fuse in the neutral or ground circuit.

The installation height for the KUCHT KRH3003U is critical for performance and safety. The distance between the bottom of the hood and the surface of the cooktop should be a minimum of 27 inches and a maximum of 30 inches. Installing it too high will affect efficiency, and installing it too low may result in damage to the hood from the stove’s heat.

Before installing the KUCHT KRH3003U:

1. If possible, unplug and move the stove for better access to the rear wall. If not, protect the counter and cooking surface with a thick blanket.

2. Select a flat surface for assembling the device. Place the cover and hardware on a protective cap.

3. Determine and mark the center line on the wall where the hood will be installed.

4. Determine a comfortable height and mark it on the wall behind the stovetop.

5. Place the template on the center line and the bottom of the hood location using adhesive tape.

To attach the brackets for your KUCHT KRH3003U to the wall:

• Align the center lines on the bracket with the center lines you drew on the wall.

• Identify the two screw holes on the wall.

• Drill pilot holes of 5/16 inch in the marked locations.

• Place the fastening clips into the wall.

• Tighten the wood screws by hand into the attachments to allow the hooks to expand, then remove the screws.

• Attach the bracket to the wall using the screws and/or fasteners.

The control panel of the KUCHT KRH3003U includes the following buttons:

A0 button: Remote control signal lamp.

A1 button: Power (on/off).

A2 button: LED bulb.

A3 button: Display screen.

A4 button: Time Delay.

A5 button: Low speed.

A6 button: High speed.

To operate the fan on your KUCHT KRH3003U:

1. Press the A1 (Power) button. The A3 display screen will turn on.

2. Use the A5 and A6 buttons to activate the fan speeds: high speed (F4), average speed (F3), low speed (F2), and quiet speed (F1).

3. To turn the fan off immediately, press the A1 button two times.

The time-delay function on the KUCHT KRH3003U allows the fan to shut off automatically after a set period. Here is how to use it:

1. While the fan is working, press the A4 button. The digital screen will blink for several seconds. The default setting is 1 minute, after which the fan will shut off automatically.

2. To adjust the delay time, press the A4 button once. While it is blinking, press the A6 button to increase the delay time. The maximum delay time is 15 minutes.

The time-delay function only affects the fan; it does not affect the lamplight setting.

Press the A2 button once to turn on the LED lights. Press it again to turn them off. Note that pressing the A2 button or A4 button will prevent you from being able to turn on the LED light. For safety, do not touch the LED light unless the hood is off and cooled.

The grease filters should be cleaned once a month or as needed. To clean them:

1. To remove the grease filter, pull the metal latch down. This will disengage the filter from the hood.

2. Tilt the filter down and then remove it.

3. Use a solution of warm water and detergent to clean the filters. The metal filters are also dishwasher-safe using a non-phosphate detergent.

4. Let the filters dry completely before reinstalling them.

To clean the stainless steel surfaces of your KUCHT KRH3003U and maintain its appearance:

What to do:

– Wash surfaces regularly with a clean cloth soaked in warm water and mild soap or dish detergent.

– Always clean in the direction of the grain.

– Always rinse well with clear water (2 or 3 times) after cleaning and dry completely.

– A household cleaner designed for stainless steel can also be used.

Don’ts:

– Do not use steel wool or other scrapers to remove stubborn dirt.

– Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleansers.

– Do not allow dirt or construction residues like plaster dust to accumulate on the hood.

When choosing a detergent for your KUCHT KRH3003U, avoid the following:

– Any cleaners that contain bleach, as they attack stainless steel.

– Any product containing chloride, fluoride, iodide, or bromide, as they can quickly deteriorate surfaces.

– Any combustible cleaning products such as acetone, alcohol, ether, benzene, etc. These are highly explosive and should never be used near a stove.

To replace the bulbs on your KUCHT KRH3003U:

1. Shut off the power to the hood.

2. Remove the grease filters. Press both sides of the elastic clamps on the bulb to make it loose.

3. Gently push the bulb outward to take it out.
