Please follow these steps to set up the hardware for your KODAK S5180 scanner:
Step 1. Unpack the scanner and all included components, such as trays and cables.
Step 2. Before connecting the scanner to your computer, install the necessary software.
Step 3. Open the top cover of the scanner.
Step 4. Insert the internal components as illustrated.
Step 5. Connect the power cord and USB cable to the back of the scanner.
Step 6. Attach the input tray to the top of the scanner.
Step 7. Attach the output tray to the front of the scanner.
Step 8. Follow the on-screen instructions on your computer to finalize the installation.
How do I connect the KODAK S5180 scanner to power and to my computer?
Step 1. Connect the power cord to the power port on the back of the KODAK S5180 scanner and plug the other end into a power outlet.
Step 2. Connect the square end of the USB cable to the USB port on the back of the scanner.
Step 3. Connect the rectangular end of the USB cable to a USB port on your computer.
How do I install the input and output trays on the KODAK S5180 scanner?
To install the input tray, align it with the slots on the top of the KODAK S5180 scanner and push it firmly into place.
To install the output tray, align it with the slots on the lower front of the scanner and slide it into position until it clicks.
