Remove the six T25 fairing fasteners. Remove the four turn signal fasteners while protecting the turn signal bodies. Finally, disconnect both headlamps, noting that the fairing and windshield come off as one piece.

Unplug both terminals on the left and right speakers. Remove the four Phillips head fasteners that secure each speaker to the inner fairing.

When installing the new speakers using the hardware removed previously, make sure the speaker terminals are in the same location as the stock speakers.

Remove the two 3/16 inch allen screws from the left side of the radio chassis. Fasten the amplifier bracket to the radio chassis using these screws.

Remove any connectors that are mounted to the left side radio chassis and ensure the slotted hole on the amplifier bracket fits over the front connector mounting tab.

Connect the electrical harness to the amplifier. Slide the connector side of the amp into the bracket, ensuring that the amp body engages into the lip of the bracket. Fasten the amplifier to the bracket using the supplied hardware.

Follow the color code to route the left and right speaker wires safely. The right side speaker wires need to be routed behind the fairing hooks on the inner fairing bracket where the main bundle of wire is located.

Plug the male ends into the stock harness and plug the female ends onto the speaker terminals.

Locate the headlamp harness and remove the red cap over the Orange/White wire. Plug the blue wire from the KICKER 50HDR98 harness into the Orange/White wire, ensuring it is fully engaged.

If that wire is currently in use, such as for accessory lighting, there is an additional piggy back connection on the KICKER 50HDR98 harness to replace it.

Whether the extra blue wire lead is being used or not, heat shrink has been provided to put over it to reduce the risk of a short.

After removing the fuel tank and electrical caddy lid, route the power harness on the left side of the frame neck, into the caddy and under the seat. The power leads need to route into the inner fairing bracket where other wires are entering and exiting the fairing. Then, they need to exit the bracket through the hole on the left side in front of the instrument cluster.

Lay the wires into the caddy area and remove the fuse during wire placement under the seat. Ensure none of the wires will be in a bind when the steering head is turned fully to the right or the left.

The recommended settings are as follows: Input level at HI; Amp 1 HI-PASS at 80 Hz; Amp 2 HI-PASS at 80 Hz for tour pack or 60 Hz for baglids; and Input Gain control at 0.

It is highly recommended to use the included Mylar sticker to cover the dip switches.

Connect the battery terminals, install the fuse, set gain to optimize system performance, and check audio system operation. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and carefully reassemble the motorcycle. Reconnect the negative battery terminal and install the seat.

If you are not using rear speakers, it is recommended to leave the amp 2 gain turned all the way down and connect the included Dummy Plug to the rear speaker connector under the seat.

Over-tightening mounting fasteners may result in damage to your motorcycle. Please refer to your service manual for proper procedures and torque specifications.

The KICKER 50HDR98 kit may not be compatible with some aftermarket head units.
