What essential safety precautions must be followed before using the jack stands?
To reduce the risk of injury, the user must read the instruction manual fully before use.
Understand the warning symbols used throughout the manual.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE):
– Wear ear-muffs if noise levels require it.
– Wear protective safety gloves.
– Wear safety goggles to protect against sparks, splinters, chips, and dust.
– Wear a breathing mask when working on materials generating dust, especially wood. Never use the device on materials containing asbestos.
Failure to comply with safety instructions can cause serious injury and damage to the vehicle. If unsure, consult a qualified mechanic.
What are the key safety rules when using jack stands?
1. Read and understand instruction manuals fully before use. Use only as specified.
2. Never overload these jack stands by exceeding the rated safe working load (per pair).
3. Check vehicle owner’s manual for gross vehicle weight.
4. Use no more than one pair of stands.
5. Ensure all body parts are kept clear of the jack and vehicle when positioning and removing the jack stands.
6. After lifting the vehicle, support it immediately with properly rated jack stands.
7. Never work on or under a vehicle without using properly rated jack stands.
8. Only use on solid, even and level ground with the wheels chocked, the vehicle in gear and its handbrake on.
9. Always ensure that the load is centred and secure on the jack stand top saddle. Off-centre loads can become unstable and slip.
10. Ensure that each stand is securely located under a strong, stable point on the vehicle: consult the vehicle owner’s manual for guidance.
11. Ensure vehicle jacking and support points are in good, sound condition with no corrosion etc.
12. Do not attempt to move or dolly the vehicle whilst on the jack stands or jack.
13. Do not attempt to modify these jack stands in any way.
14. Upper and lower columns must be used as a pair as supplied.
15. Do not attempt to use if you suspect a fault.
16. Do not start the vehicle in its raised position.
17. Do not attempt to enter the vehicle and ensure all passengers are out of the vehicle when using this product.
18. Take care when using on a three-wheeled vehicle or trailer.

Do not apply oil or grease to any part of this product.

How do I use the jack stands to support a vehicle?
1. Pull the upper column out from the lower column to the desired height.
2. Insert the locating pin through the aligned holes in both upper and lower columns.
3. Secure the locating pin by inserting the clip pin into it.
4. Carefully position the jack stands under the vehicle so that the load will contact the centre of the top saddle.
5. Always use jack stands in pairs and only on those parts of the vehicle specifically designated as strong, stable support points. Consult the vehicle owner’s manual for the correct lift and support points.
NOTE: The stands must only be positioned on a hard, level surface. The rated load per pair must not be exceeded. Centre the load on the top saddle. Use as a matched pair to support one end of a vehicle only.
How do I lower the vehicle and remove the jack stands?
1. Raise the vehicle using a suitable jack, clear of the jack stands.
2. Carefully lower the stands to their lowest position by removing the clip pin, then the locating pin, and lowering the upper column.
