To set up Face Unlock, follow these steps:

1. Open Settings and go to Security & privacy > Face recognition and enter your screen unlock password.

2. You can select “Enable Pick up to wake” to enhance the experience. Touch “Enroll face” and follow the onscreen instructions to enroll your face.

3. Choose a method to set Face unlock:

• Direct unlock: Turn on the screen. Your phone identifies your facial features and unlocks the screen.
• Swipe to unlock: Turn on the screen. After your phone identifies your facial features, swipe the lock screen to unlock your device.
• Smart display of lock screen notifications: Enable “Slide to unlock” and “Smart lock screen notifications”. On the lock screen, your phone hides notification details by default and displays them only after identifying the device owner’s face.
• Access app lock: Enable “Access app lock” to access apps and locked apps using Face unlock.

You can enable the Navigation dock feature to operate your device with one hand.

1. Open Settings. Go to System > System navigation > Navigation dock and enable Navigation dock.

2. The Navigation dock will appear on the screen. You can drag it to your preferred location.

3. Perform the following actions:

• Back: Touch the Navigation dock once to go back one step, or touch it twice to go back two steps.
• Home: Touch and hold the Navigation dock and then release it to go to the home screen.
• View background apps: Touch and hold the Navigation dock and then swipe left or right to view any apps that are running in the background.

Monochrome mode filters out color to bring out light and shadows. Open Camera > More > Monochrome, and then touch the shutter button to take photos in black and white.

Shooting objects: Go to Camera > More > 3D panorama. Touch and hold the shutter button, then follow the onscreen prompts to slowly move your Phone around your subject in one direction. Release to stop shooting. After shooting, touch the camera thumbnail, and then touch 3D above the photo to generate a 3D panoramic photo.

1. Go to Camera > More > Panorama.

2. Touch the arrow icon at the bottom of the screen to configure the shooting direction.

3. Hold your Phone steady, and then touch the shutter button to start shooting. Slowly move the Phone in the direction indicated, holding the device steady and ensuring that the arrow stays level with the center line.

4. Touch the stop button when you are finished. The camera will automatically stitch the photos together.

Open Camera > More > AR lens. You can choose from several effects:

• Taking group photos with your 3D objects: Touch 3D objects and select a 3D object that you like. Then touch the shutter button to take a group photo or record a video.
• Adding customized effects: Touch Gesture effects, and then touch the desired icons. Follow the onscreen instructions to add customized backgrounds to your photos or videos.

Open Camera > Pro to enter Pro mode. You can adjust the following settings:

• Metering mode: Select a metering mode based on the shooting subject (Matrix, Center, or Spot).
• ISO: Touch ISO and swipe to adjust. Recommended ISO is below 400 for low noise, 100-200 for daytime, and above 400 for night scenes.
• Shutter speed (S): Touch S and drag to desired speed. Recommended 1/80 to 1/125 for static scenes; faster for moving subjects.
• EV compensation: Touch EV and slide to adjust brightness.
• AWB (Auto White Balance): Touch AWB and slide to select depending on lighting (Sunlight, Weak light, or adjust K value for color temperature).
• AF (Auto Focus): Touch AF and slide to select mode (AF-S for static, AF-C for moving, MF for manual focus).

App lock allows you to set a password for important apps.

1. Open Settings. Go to Security & privacy > App lock.

2. Follow the onscreen instructions to set the password and enter the app lock.

3. On the App lock screen, enable App lock for the apps you want to protect.

To modify the password, touch the settings icon on the App lock screen and select “Change password” or “Change password protection”.

Open Settings, and go to Home screen & wallpaper > Wallpaper.

• Set a picture as your home screen wallpaper: Touch Gallery or select a preset wallpaper, and follow instructions to select Lock screen, Home screen, or Both.
• Set a photo from Gallery: In Gallery, open the photo, go to Menu > Set as > Wallpaper, and follow instructions.

• Add widgets: Touch and hold an empty area on the home screen. Touch Widgets, touch and hold a widget, and drag it to an empty area.
• Delete widgets: Touch and hold a widget until the phone vibrates, then select Remove.
• Move widgets: Touch and hold a widget until the phone vibrates, then drag it to any position.

Open Settings, go to Home screen & wallpaper > Home screen style, and select Drawer. To switch back, select Standard.

To add an app icon to the home screen from the drawer, touch the drawer icon on the home screen to enter the app list. Touch and hold an app icon until the phone vibrates, then drag it to the desired position on the home screen.

You can use the following methods to start screen recording:

• Shortcut: Swipe down from the status bar to open the notification panel, and touch the screen recording icon.
• Key combination: Simultaneously press and hold the Power button and the Volume up button. Press again to stop.
• Knuckle gesture: Knock the screen twice in quick succession with two knuckles to start recording. Knock twice again to stop.

• Combo key: Simultaneously press and hold the Power button and the Volume down button.
• Shortcut switch: Swipe down from the status bar and open the shortcuts panel, then touch the screenshot icon.
• Knuckle gesture: Use a knuckle to gently double-tap the screen in quick succession.

Open Contacts, go to Business cards > Scan.

• Single card: Place the card on a flat surface, adjust the camera focus frame, and touch the shutter button.
• Multiple cards: Switch to Multiple mode and follow onscreen instructions.

The information will be automatically converted into contact information and saved in Business cards.

Call Waiting: Open Dialer, go to Menu > Settings > More, and enable Call waiting.

Call Forwarding: Open Dialer, go to Menu > Settings > Call forwarding. If using dual-SIM, select the SIM section first. Touch Call forwarding, select a method, and enter the number.

Open Settings, and go to Wireless & networks > Mobile network. In the settings section for SIM 1 or 2, turn on “VoLTE HD calls”.

Note: Some carriers may not support this feature.

From the viewfinder, touch the settings icon and enable “Capture smiles”. The camera will take a photo automatically when it detects a smile.

Open Camera > Portrait. You can set the following:

• Artistic bokeh: Touch the icon in the viewfinder to enable the effect.
• Stage lighting: Touch the icon in the viewfinder and select an effect.
• Beauty effect: Touch the icon in the viewfinder and drag the slider to adjust beautification settings.

Go to Camera > More > Light painting. Select one of the following modes (ensure your device is on a tripod or solid surface):

• Traffic trails: Captures artistic photos of car tail lights.
• Light graffiti: Creates patterns or words by moving a light source in front of the camera.
• Silky water: Captures smooth photographs of waterfalls and rivers.
• Star trails: Captures the movement of stars in the night sky.

Touch the shutter to start shooting and touch it again when finished.

Open Camera, touch the moving picture icon on the top of the screen, then touch the shutter to capture. To view, go to Gallery > Albums > Camera, find pictures with the icon, and touch the icon on top of the picture to view the dynamic effect.

Your Phone automatically creates Highlights albums based on time and location when charging in sleep mode with more than 50% battery. To ensure this works, enable “GPS tag” in Camera settings before taking photos.

Open Gallery and touch the Highlights tab to view or edit albums. You can change templates, background music, or add/delete photos/videos.

Open Phone Manager and touch the battery icon.

• Optimize battery usage: Automatically checks for power consumption problems.
• Power saving mode / Ultra power saving mode: Enable based on battery level to extend battery life.
• Smart resolution: Enable Screen resolution > Smart resolution to automatically decrease resolution to save power.

Open Recorder and touch the record button. You can add tags at important points. Touch the stop button to save. In the recording file list, you can play recordings from tags or manage recordings by touching and holding them.

• Add a user: Touch Settings > Users & accounts > Users > Add user. Enter a name and touch ADD.
• Add a guest: Touch Settings > Users & accounts > Users > Add guest > ADD.

1. Enable Bluetooth on the device you want to connect to.

2. On your phone, swipe down from the status bar and long-press the Bluetooth icon.

3. Enable Bluetooth. From “Available devices”, touch the device you want to pair and follow instructions.

Open Settings, touch Device connectivity, and enable NFC and Huawei Beam. Select the files you want to send and touch Share > Huawei Beam. Place the NFC detection areas of both devices close together. Once connected, touch the transmitting device’s screen to send files.

Wired Connection: Use a USB Type-C to HDMI/DisplayPort cable or docking station.

Wireless Connection: If the display supports Miracast, turn on Wi-Fi and connect. If not, use a wireless HDMI adapter, open Settings > Device connectivity > Easy Projection, and enable Wireless projection.

Connect your phone to the computer with a USB cable. Swipe down from the status bar and touch Settings to select a connection mode:

• Transfer photos: Uses PTP protocol to transfer images.
• Transfer files: Uses MTP protocol to transfer media files.
• Charge only: Only charges the phone.
• Input MIDI: Uses phone as a MIDI input device.

1. Open Settings > Security & privacy > Fingerprint ID.

2. Set an unlock password if you haven’t already.

3. Touch “New fingerprint” and place your fingertip on the sensor. Press down lightly until the device vibrates. Repeat using different parts of your fingertip.

4. Touch OK when complete.

PrivateSpace allows you to create an independent space for private info.

To enable: Open Settings > Security & privacy > PrivateSpace > Enable. Follow instructions to create a separate password or fingerprint.

To enter: From the lock screen, use the fingerprint or password assigned to PrivateSpace.

To hide entrance: In PrivateSpace settings, enable “Hide PrivateSpace”.

1. Open Settings, then touch System > Back up & restore > Data backup > external storage.

2. Select the location (USB storage or Shared folder).

3. Select the data you want to restore and touch Restore. If encrypted, enter the password.

App twin allows you to log in to two social media accounts at once. Touch Settings > Apps > App twin. Enable App twin for the desired app. Two icons will appear on the home screen.

Open Settings and go to Sounds > Do not disturb. Toggle the switch on. You can configure:

• Allow calls/messages: From important contacts only.
• Time rule: Set specific times (e.g., evenings/weekends).
• Event rule: Enable during calendar events.

Open Settings > System > Language & input > Language. Select the language you want to use. If not listed, touch “Add language” to find it.

Go to Settings > Smart assistance, and enable Gloves mode to make it easier to use your phone while wearing gloves.

2. Go to System > Software update.

3. When the system detects an update, go to New version > DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL.
