Safety is critical when using professional lighting equipment. Follow these guidelines for the GODOX KNOWLED MG6K:

1. Always read and understand the instructions before use.

2. Do not allow children to use this professional lighting equipment.

3. Avoid looking directly at the LED lamp beads while the light is on.

4. Do not touch high-temperature parts, such as the lamp beads, to prevent burns.

5. Use an extension cord with a current rating equal to or greater than the equipment to avoid overheating.

6. Disconnect the power cord before cleaning or performing maintenance.

7. Allow the equipment to cool completely before storing it in a carrying case or dry place.

8. Clean the lamp bead glass frequently with a dry, soft cloth; do not use wet cloths or volatile solvents like alcohol or gasoline.

To install the U-type bracket:

Step 1. Place the light on a flat surface, press down the quick install device button, and remove the wrench.

Step 2. Align both ends of the U-type bracket with the quick install device and insert them.

Step 3. Lock the wrenches on both sides to secure the bracket.

Step 4. Install the light onto a roller stand and lock the fixing knob on the stand.

To disassemble the U-type bracket:

Step 1. Hold the U-type bracket and remove it from the roller stand, then place it on a flat surface.

Step 2. Press and hold the quick install device button and release the wrench to pull the U-type bracket out.

Note: The GODOX KNOWLED MG6K is heavy; use caution during installation to avoid personal injury.

Installation: Align the protection cover or the reflector with the mount on the light body and rotate it clockwise until it is secured.

Disassembly: Press and hold the mount locking pusher on the light body and rotate the cover or reflector counterclockwise to remove it.

Important: Always remove the protection cover before turning on the GODOX KNOWLED MG6K.

The GODOX KNOWLED MG6K supports an AC power input of 100V to 240V. For custom wiring of the AC power cord, follow these color codes:

1. Yellow wire: Earth wire.

2. Black wire: Neutral wire.

3. Red wire: Live wire.

Ensure you connect the plug according to these wires and only use supported voltage ranges. Never connect the device to a 380V power supply as this will damage the equipment. When using the DC power cord, coil it and use the tying rope to hang the end on the hanging device of the U-type bracket.

To operate in CCT Mode:

Step 1. Short press the MODE button to enter the mode selection menu.

Step 2. Rotate and press the select dial to choose CCT mode.

Step 3. Rotate the select dial clockwise to increase parameters or counterclockwise to decrease them.

The adjustable ranges are:

DIM (Brightness): 0.0% to 100.0%

CCT (Color Temperature): 2800K to 10000K

GM (Green/Magenta adjustment): -100% to +100%

The GODOX KNOWLED MG6K features 11 built-in lighting effects:

1. Flash: Simulates a camera flash or traditional flash bulb.

2. Lightning: Simulates natural thunder and lightning.

3. Cloudy: Simulates cloud occlusion effects.

4. Broken Bulb: Simulates a flickering, damaged light bulb.

5. TV: Simulates light emitted from a television screen.

6. Candle: Simulates the soft, shimmering light of a candle.

7. Fire: Simulates the light from a flame.

8. Firework: Simulates colorful, romantic fireworks.

9. Explosion: Simulates the bright, fierce light of an explosion.

10. Welding: Simulates the hot, mechanical light of welding.

11. SOS: Simulates an SOS distress signal.

Parameters like DIM, CCT, speed, and triggers can be adjusted for most effects by rotating and pressing the select dial.

The GODOX KNOWLED MG6K supports both wired and wireless DMX connections:

Wired Connection: Connect the DMX512 controller to the DMX IN port on the controller unit. For multi-light setups, use the DMX OUT port to daisy-chain additional units.

Wireless Connection: The light supports LumenRadio CRMX. Navigate to the CRMX menu on the controller to turn the function on or reset the connection.

To quickly add the light to the Godox Light app via NFC:

Step 1. Ensure the light supports NFC and you are using the correct version of the app (V3.2.4 or above) on a smartphone with Bluetooth and NFC enabled.

Step 2. Open the app and enter a scene, then click the plus icon and select the NFC Addition function.

Step 3. Bring the smartphone’s NFC sensing area near the NFC sensing area on the light controller to scan and add the device.

Note: Android users can close the sensing area to complete the addition immediately; iOS users must click the NFC icon in the app and wait for the pop-up window before scanning.

The GODOX KNOWLED MG6K allows for separate updates to the controller and the light body:

Updating the Controller:

1. Download the new firmware to a USB disk (ensure it is in the root directory and only one .BIN file is present).

2. Turn off the device and insert the USB disk into the USB-A port.

3. Turn on the device; it will automatically enter the upgrade interface. It will return to the main interface once complete.

Updating the Light Body:

1. Download the firmware upgrade software G3 and the light head firmware (.bin).

2. Connect the computer to the USB-C port on the light head using a USB cable.

3. Use the G3 application to open the .bin file and click upgrade.

Note: The light body does not need to be connected to the controller during its specific firmware update.

The GODOX KNOWLED MG6K is compatible with several G-mount accessories. Some compatibility requires specific conditions:

Power Limit: This function allows you to set a maximum power percentage between 10% and 100%. If the power supply cannot meet the requirements for starting, you can activate this by simultaneously pressing the LOCK and MODE buttons while the device is off. Upon startup, it will enter power limit mode (defaulted to 50%).

Fan Settings: The fan can be set to Off, Auto, Medium, or High. If the Accessory Control (Optics Recognition) is turned on, the light will not illuminate if the optical accessories are not correctly installed.
