• 1. MODE: Press this button to select the operation mode.
• 2. ▲ / ▼: Used to adjust the room temperature and the timer, also real time.
• 3. HI-NANO (optional): Used to set or cancel HI-NANO operation.
• 4. ON/OFF (Power Symbol): The appliance will be started when it is energized or will be stopped when it is in operation, if you press this button.
• 5. FAN SPEED: Used to select fan speed in sequence: auto, higher, high, medium, low, and lower.
• 6. SUPER: Used to start or stop fast cooling/heating. (Fast cooling operates at high fan speed with 16°C(61°F) set temp automatically; Fast heating operates at auto fan speed with 30°C(86°F) set temp automatically).
• 7. SWING: Used to stop or start vertical adjustment louver swinging and set the desired up/down airflow direction.
• 8. SLEEP: Used to set or cancel Sleep Mode operation.
• 9. ECO: Used to set or cancel ECO Mode operation.
• 10. ◄► SWING (optional): Used to stop or start Horizontal adjustment louver swinging and set the desired left/right airflow direction.
• 11. ON/OFF TIMER: Used to set or cancel the timer operation.
• 12. SMART (optional): Used to enter fuzzy logic operation directly when the unit is on. When the Air conditioner and Remote controller are in standby, and the mode of remote controller is in Cooling or Dry, press this button for about 5 seconds to enter the auto-clean mode.
• 13. DIMMER/CLOCK: When you press this button, the display of the indoor unit will be closed. Press any button to resume display. Used to set the current time.
• 14. IFEEL/QUIET: Press to set IFEEL Mode operation. Press this button for above 5 seconds to start or stop Quiet Mode operation.
• 2()+7. 8°C HEAT (optional): Press the ▲ and SLEEP buttons together to start or stop 8°C HEAT mode.

1. Pry open the battery cover according to the arrow direction.

2. Insert new batteries making sure that the (+) and (-) of the battery are matched correctly.

3. Reattach the cover by pressing it back into position.

Note: Use 2 LR03 AAA (1.5volt) batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries. Replace batteries with new ones of the same type when the display becomes dim.

To operate the room air conditioner, aim the remote controller to the signal receptor on the indoor unit. The remote controller will operate the air conditioner at a distance of up to 7m when pointing at the signal receptor.

For appropriate signal transmission between the remote controller and indoor unit, keep the signal receiver away from the following items:

• Direct sunlight or other strong lights or heat
• Flat panel television screen or other electrical appliances that react to the remote controller

Additionally, the air conditioner will not operate if curtains, doors, or other materials block the signals from the remote controller to the indoor unit. If the signal may not be transmitted properly, either move these materials or consult your local dealer.

Press the MODE button repeatedly. The operation modes will change in the following sequence: COOLING -> DRY -> FAN ONLY -> HEATING.

Note: Heating mode is NOT available for cooling-only models of the CAPELLA ENERGIA B.

Press the FAN SPEED button repeatedly. The fan speed will change in the following sequence: Auto -> Higher -> High -> Medium -> Low -> Lower.

• In “FAN ONLY” mode, “Auto” is not available.
• In “DRY” mode, the fan speed is set to “AUTO” automatically, and the “FAN SPEED” button is ineffective.

• Press the ▲ button once to raise the temperature setting by 1°C or 1°F.
• Press the ▼ button once to lower the temperature setting by 1°C or 1°F.

Range of available set temperature:

*Note: At “Dry” mode, a decrease or rise of up to 7°C can be set with Remote controller if you still feel uncomfortable.

Press and hold the MODE button and the ▼ button together for 2 seconds to alternate the temperature display between the °C and °F scale.

Press the ON/OFF (Power) button. The RUN indicator on the indoor unit will light up.

Important notes:

• When changing modes during operation, the unit may not respond at once. Wait 3 minutes.
• During heating operation, airflow is not discharged at the beginning. After 2-5 minutes, the airflow will be discharged once the temperature of the indoor heat exchanger rises.
• Wait 3 minutes before restarting the appliance.

The vertical airflow is automatically adjusted to a certain angle in accordance with the operation mode after turning on the unit.

*Heating mode is only available for heat pump models.

Vertical Airflow Control:

1. Press the “SWING” button once. The vertical adjustment louver will swing up and down automatically.

2. Press the “SWING” button again to stop the louver at a suitable angle as desired.

3. For some models, pressing and holding the “SWING” button for about 5s will cause the louver to swing up and down automatically at a smaller angle.

Horizontal Airflow Control (optional feature):

1. Press the “◄► SWING” button once. The horizontal adjustment louver will swing left and right automatically.

2. Press the “◄► SWING” button again to stop the louver at a suitable angle as desired.

NOTE: Do not turn the vertical adjustment louvers manually, otherwise malfunction may occur. If that happens, turn off the unit first and cut off the power supply, then restore power supply again. It is also better not to let the vertical adjustment louver tilt downward for a long time at COOLING or DRY mode to prevent condensed water from dripping.

To set SMART mode:

Press the SMART button. The CAPELLA ENERGIA B will enter SMART mode (fuzzy logic operation) directly only when the unit is on. Temperature and fan speed are automatically set based on the actual room temperature.

To cancel SMART mode:

Press the MODE button. The SMART mode will be cancelled.

For split-type models, the operation is determined by the indoor temperature.

Heat pump models:

Cooling only models:

For commercial products, the operation mode is determined by the difference between the indoor temperature and set temperature (T).

Heat pump models:

While temperature, airflow, and direction are controlled automatically in SMART mode, you can make the following adjustments if you feel uncomfortable:

Note: For the on/off, you can choose from -2 to 2 (for some models you can choose from -7 to 7), for the inverter you can choose from -7 to 7 if you still feel uncomfortable.

SUPER mode is used to start or stop fast cooling or heating only when the unit is on.

How to set SUPER mode:

• At the cool, dry, and fan only mode, press the SUPER button. The set temperature will automatically change to 16°C (61°F) at high fan speed.
• At the heat mode, press the SUPER button. The set temperature will automatically change to 30°C (86°F) at auto fan speed.

How to cancel SUPER mode:

Press the SUPER, MODE, FAN SPEED, ON/OFF, QUIET, or SLEEP button. The display will return to the original mode, escaping from SUPER mode.

Note: SMART and ECO buttons are not available in SUPER mode.

In this mode, the air conditioner will work with low noise performance by low compressor frequency and low fan speed. This mode is only available for inverter models.

To activate, press the IFEEL/QUIET button for about 5 seconds.

To cancel QUIET mode, press the MODE, FAN SPEED, SMART, SUPER, ECO, QUIET, or ON/OFF button.

How to set ON TIMER:

1. Press the ON/OFF TIMER button. “12:00 ON” will flash on the LCD.

2. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to set the desired time. A short press adjusts the time by 1 minute. Holding the button for 1.5 seconds adjusts it by 10 minutes. A longer press adjusts it by 1 hour.

3. When your desired time is displayed on the LCD, press the ON TIMER button to confirm it. You will hear a “beep,” and “ON” will stop flashing. The TIMER indicator on the indoor unit will light up (for some models).

4. After 5 seconds, the clock will be displayed on the LCD instead of the set timer.

How to cancel ON TIMER:

Press the ON/OFF TIMER button. You will hear a “beep,” and the indicator will disappear. The ON timer mode has been canceled.

Note: Setting the OFF TIMER is similar. The difference is you need to press the ON/OFF TIMER button for about 5 seconds to start or cancel the OFF TIMER.

In ECO mode, the air conditioner will bring you energy-saving performance by lower running currency.

To use ECO mode, press the ECO button.

To cancel ECO mode, press the ON/OFF, MODE, ▲, ▼, FAN SPEED, SLEEP, or QUIET button.

Note: The ECO button is ineffective in SUPER and SMART mode. Pressing and holding the “QUIET” and “ECO” buttons together for 3 seconds will alternate the mode between cooling only and cooling and heating.

In IFEEL mode, the temperature sensor built into the remote controller is activated. It senses its surrounding temperature and transmits the signal back to the unit, allowing the unit to adjust the temperature for maximum comfort where the remote is located.

How to set IFEEL mode:

Press the QUIET/IFEEL5′ button for about 5 seconds once. The transmit signal icon will appear in the display, and the IFEEL function will start. The default setting is IFEEL inactive.

How to cancel IFEEL mode:

Press the QUIET/IFEEL5′ button for about 5 seconds once again. The IFEEL function will be shunted off.

Press the DIMMER button to turn off the light and the display on the indoor unit. Press any button to resume the display. When the light is off, a received signal will turn on the light again.

1. Press the DIMMER/CLOCK5′ button for about 5 seconds once. The time will flash on the LCD.

2. Press the ▲ and ▼ buttons to adjust the time. A short press changes the time by 1 minute, holding for 1.5 seconds changes it by 10 minutes, and a longer press changes it by 1 hour.

3. Press the DIMMER/CLOCK5′ button once again to set the real time.

SLEEP mode can be set in COOLING, HEATING, or DRYING mode to provide a more comfortable environment for sleep. The appliance will stop operation automatically after 8 hours, and the fan speed is automatically set to low speed.

How to set SLEEP mode:

Each time the SLEEP button is pressed, the SLEEP function will be started.

How SLEEP mode works:

• In cooling mode, the set temperature will rise by 2°C (2°F) at most over 2 hours, then it keeps steady. However, if the room temperature is 26°C (79°F) or above, the set temperature will not change.
• In heating mode, the set temperature will decrease by 2°C (2°F) at most over 2 hours, then it keeps steady.

How to cancel SLEEP mode:

Press the SUPER, SMART, MODE, SLEEP, ON/OFF, ECO, or FAN SPEED button. The display will return to the original mode, and the unit will escape from SLEEP mode.

Note: Sleep mode is NOT available for Smart and Fan only mode. Heating is NOT available for cooling-only air conditioners.

In HEATING mode, press the SWING and ▲ buttons together for 3 seconds to start 8°C HEAT mode. The icon “8°” will appear on the LCD, and the fan speed is set to “AUTO” automatically.

If you press any button other than ON/OFF TIMER, CLOCK, DIMMER, IFEEL, and SWING, the 8°C HEAT function will be turned off, and the icon will disappear.

Note: In 8°C HEAT mode, the default temperature is set to 8°C. This mode can only be set when the air conditioner works in HEATING mode.

When the Remote controller is on, in any mode, press the HI-NANO button to set or cancel the HI-NANO mode. The icon “Hi” will appear or disappear on the LCD.

When the air conditioner and remote controller are in standby, and the remote is in Cooling or Dry mode, press the SMART button for 5 seconds once to start Clean mode. The auto-clean indicator will display on the LCD.

To cancel the Clean mode, press the ON/OFF, SMART, or MODE button. The indicator will disappear.

After the clean process finishes, the air conditioner will return to Cooling or Dry as preset, while the indicator on the remote controller will display for about 30 minutes.

When in Cooling mode, press the ECO button for about 5 seconds once to start Power control mode (fan will run in low speed). Press this button for about 5 seconds once again to stop it.

When the appliance is in Power control mode, pressing the ECO button once will change the operation modes in sequence: 75% -> 55% -> 35% power.

Notes:

• Power control mode is ineffective in SUPER or ECO mode.
• Except for the buttons of Swing, Dimmer, Ifeel, Timer, Fan, pressing other buttons will exit the Power control mode, and the indicator “%” will disappear.
• When starting Power control mode, the fan will automatically enter low wind speed, but you can change the wind speed by pressing the Fan button.
