The BROMIC HT-1892 measures Gauge/Differential Pressure. It features 11 selectable units of measure: inH₂O, psi, bar, mbar, Kpa, InHg, mmHg, ozin², FtH₂O, cmH₂O, and kgcm. Additional features include Data Hold and an Auto Power Off function that can be disabled.

The display of the BROMIC HT-1892 has several indicators:

1. Hold Function: Appears when the Data Hold function is active.

2. Differential Mode: Appears when the meter is in differential pressure mode.

3. Primary Data Screen: Shows the main pressure reading.

4. Record Mode: Indicates that the MAX/MIN/AVG recording mode is active.

5. MAX/MIN/AVG: Shows whether the maximum, minimum, or average reading is being displayed.

6. Low Battery Indicator: Appears when the battery is low.

7. Pressure Unit Indicator: Shows the currently selected unit of measurement.

8. Relative Time Clock: Displays the time elapsed during a recording session.

The meter has six buttons with the following functions:

1. UNITS: Cycles through the 11 available units of measure.

2. DIF: Toggles the differential pressure measurement mode.

3. HOLD: Freezes the current reading on the display. Also used to disable Auto Power Off.

4. ON/OFF: Turns the meter on and off.

A. REC: Activates and cycles through the MAX/MIN/AVG recording mode.

B. BACKLIGHT: Turns the display backlight on or off.

Press the ON/OFF button to turn the power on or off. When turned on, the meter will perform a short self-test and will default to the settings used during the last operation.

Before use and without any fittings attached, press the HOLD button for more than 2 seconds to zero the meter. The meter will reset, display “000” from right to left, and then show 0.000.

To offset the meter and display, press the DIF button while taking a measurement. Subsequent readings will show the difference between the current measurement and the measurement that was on the display when the DIF button was pressed.

Press the HOLD button momentarily to freeze the current reading on the display. The HOLD icon will appear on the upper left-hand side of the screen. To return to normal operation, press the HOLD button again.

The MAX/MIN mode allows you to view the highest (MAX), lowest (MIN), or average (AVG) readings with a relative time stamp.

1. Press the REC button once. “REC” will appear on the display, and all other functions except Power and Backlight will be locked out. The relative time clock will also appear and start counting.

2. Press the REC button again. “MAX” will appear on the display, showing the maximum pressure recorded and the relative time it was recorded.

3. Press the REC button again to display the minimum “MIN” reading with its relative time.

4. Press the REC button again to display the average value “AVG” reading with its relative time.

5. Press the REC button again to continue recording MIN/MAX/AVG measurements.

6. To exit the MIN/MAX/AVG mode, press and hold the REC button for 3 seconds to return to normal operation.

Press the Backlight button to turn on the display backlight. It will remain on for 40 seconds before turning off automatically.

The meter automatically shuts off after 20 minutes. To disable this feature, hold down the HOLD button while turning on the meter. An “n” will appear in the display, indicating that Auto Power OFF mode is disabled. The meter will return to normal operation when it is turned off and on again.

Press the UNITS button momentarily. The meter will cycle through the 11 available units of measure, indicated by the cursor on the bottom of the display.

If the meter fails an internal diagnostic test, an error message will appear on the display:

1. Err. 1: Pressure value is over the range.

2. Err. 2: Pressure value is below the range.

3. Err. 3: In DIF function, the differential pressure value is over range.

4. Err. 4: In DIF function, the differential pressure value is below range.

When the battery power falls low, “BAT” will appear on the LCD. To continue using the meter, replace the 9V battery.
