The BRITE BOX FOGSTER SD7 is a fully self-contained device that illuminates your factory-installed fog lights when your high beams are on. It provides an even carpet of light that stretches from near to far. Without this device, fog lights typically drop out when high beams are activated. This allows you to enjoy the benefits of an improved beam pattern automatically, without placing additional loads on the vehicle’s stock headlight switches or wiring.

The parts list includes:

1 – Brite Box Fogster SD7

1 – 15 Amp ATC Fuse

12 – Cable (Wire) Ties

1 – Alcohol Pad

The required tools are:

Wrench to fit your positive battery post/clamp (usually a 10mm, 13mm, or 1/2 inch)

10 mm Socket, Socket Wrench, Long extension

Philips Screwdriver

Medium slotted screwdriver

Masking or Duct Tape

Remove two plastic clips that secure the rubber trim piece to the vehicle. Use a Philips screwdriver to unscrew the center section. When the center section is removed, the clips will pull straight out.

Remove three 10mm bolts. The bottom bolt is located under the headlight and will require you to use a long socket extension to reach it. Take care not to drop this bolt when you remove it.

Please note that some trucks have a sensor bolted to the driver-side headlight assembly. If your vehicle has this sensor, simply let it dangle until you reinstall the headlight.

There is a “pop” clip that holds the headlight in even though it is unbolted. Releasing this clip requires that you pry the headlight forward.

Use masking or duct tape to PAD the shaft of your screwdriver to avoid damaging the headlight or fender of the vehicle. Insert the screwdriver between the fender and headlight and GENTLY pry it forward. The headlight will pop free from the vehicle.

When the headlight is free, unplug the headlight harness from the headlight bulb (blue connector) and remove the side marker bulb from the headlight assembly by twisting it.

Place the headlight where it cannot be damaged while you are installing the BRITE BOX FOGSTER SD7.

Plug the vehicle’s headlight plug (removed during the headlight removal step) into the receptacle of the Brite Box.

Mount the BRITE BOX FOGSTER SD7 to the vehicle using double-stick tape (clean the surface tape will mount to with the supplied alcohol pad) or by wire tying it to an existing harness. Make sure you mount the unit far enough back so as to allow the headlight to be reinstalled.

Be sure to observe the UP orientation on the BRITE BOX FOGSTER SD7 label to allow for drainage should water enter the unit.

Plug the Brite Box’s single brown wire into the fog light harness wire in the following manner:

TRUCKS WHERE FOG LIGHTS WERE INSTALLED BY FACTORY: Plug the BROWN single wire from Brite Box into the BROWN wire in the fog light harness.

TRUCKS WHERE FOG LIGHTS WERE ADDED USING MOPAR FOG LIGHT KIT: Plug the BROWN single wire from Brite Box into the BLACK wire in the fog light harness.

Run the fog light harness to the fog light in the bumper.

Unplug the vehicle’s two-prong connector from the fog light bulb and plug it into the female side of the fog light harness.

Plug the remaining male connector of the fog light harness into the fog light bulb. This connection will operate both fog lights.

Secure all wires in a neat and tidy manner using the supplied cable ties.

Attach the ring on the Power lead from the Brite Box directly to the positive terminal of the battery.

Install the fuse into the fuse holder.

Plug the Brite Box’s plug into the headlight bulb.

Reinstall the side marker light into the headlight assembly.

Reinstall the headlight by first reinstalling the pop clip and then the expander clips and bolts.

IMPORTANT! Reinstall the sensor if it was removed.

Turn low beams ON and switch fog lights ON.

Turn on HIGH beams. The fog lights will remain ON.
