What are the general safety warnings for this device?

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! – This device contains electronic components. Only use the device as described in the manual; otherwise, you run the RISK OF AN ELECTRIC SHOCK!

CHOKING HAZARD! – Children should only use the device under adult supervision. Keep packaging material, like plastic bags and rubber bands, out of the reach of children, as these materials pose a choking hazard!

RISK OF CHEMICAL BURN! – Keep batteries out of the reach of children! Make sure you insert the batteries correctly. Leaking battery acid can lead to chemical burns. Avoid contact of battery acid with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In the event of contact, rinse the affected region immediately with a plenty of water and seek medical attention.

What are the functions of the buttons and ports on the device?

1. Volume Down / Previous Track Button: Press to lower volume. While in Bluetooth mode, press and hold to go to the previous track.

2. Volume Up / Next Track Button: Press to increase volume. While in Bluetooth mode, press and hold to go to the next track. Remark: While in Aux-in mode, the track could only be changed through your device.

3. Play/Pause/Call Button: When playing music, press to pause or play. When you receive a call, press to answer or press and hold to reject the call. When you are on the phone through Bluetooth mode, press to end. When the call ends, music will resume playing. In Bluetooth mode, press twice to dial the number of the last call.

4. Mode/Standby Button: Press to switch mode. Press and hold to enter or exit the standby status.

5. Setting Switch Button: Press to switch setting between screen brightness, clock, alarm 1 and alarm 2.

6. Decrease Button: While in setting mode, press to decrease brightness or numbers.

7. Increase Button: While in setting mode, press to increase brightness or numbers.

8. Wireless charging area.

9. Wireless charging indicator: Green indicates wireless charging is in progress.

10. LED indicator: Red means the Speaker is turned on. Off means the Speaker is turned off / in Standby.

11. Power on/off switch.

12. DC/USB-C port: Input 5 V / 1.5 A.

13. AUX Line-in port.

[BT] Bluetooth signal

How do I power the device?

1. Insert the Micro USB Charging cable (included) to the DC 5V input port located at the rear of the unit. Insert the other end into a suitably rated wall outlet.

2. Push the Power switch to the ON position to turn on the device. The time will be displayed.

3. Press and hold the [Mode/Standby] button to enter or exit standby status.

NOTE: To turn off the device and the screen, push the Power switch to OFF position.


How does the internal battery work?

The speaker contains 2 sets of 2200mAh batteries. When fully charged, the speaker can operate without a power supply and become portable.

NOTE: The charging time is around 3 hours.


How do I charge a device wirelessly?

1. Place the device you want to charge on the circle on top of the speaker.

2. The device will now be charged.

NOTE: Your device must support wireless charging.


How do I charge a device using the USB port?

1. To charge a device, connect with a USB charging cable to the USB charging port [USB] at the rear.

2. The device will now start charging.

NOTE: When using wireless charging and USB charging at the same time, USB charging would be disabled for the purpose of keeping the maximum output capacity within a safe level.


How do I pair or disconnect a Bluetooth device?

1. Place your device nearby. Press the [Mode] button until the [BT] icon flashes.

2. Search for Bluetooth according to your device’s instructions.

3. The speaker is named “ES BCC1001”, enter the PIN “0000” if needed.

4. The speaker will beep when pairing is complete. The [BT] icon stays on.

NOTE: To disconnect Bluetooth, press and hold the [Mode/Standby] button.


How do I use the AUX input?

1. Plug the 3.5mm audio cable (not included) into the audio input connector. The speaker will automatically switch from Bluetooth mode to AUX mode. To switch the mode manually, press the [Mode] button to switch between AUX and Bluetooth mode.

2. Unplug the 3.5mm audio cable from AUX and the speaker returns to Bluetooth status automatically.


How do I adjust the screen brightness?

1. Press the [Settings Switch] button once; all icons will flash.

2. To set the brightness of the display, short press the [Decrease] or [Increase] button.

3. Wait for 3 seconds. The brightness you set will be saved automatically and the brightness setting mode will exit.


How is the clock set automatically?

The time is set automatically by the Bluetooth connection of an iPhone.

NOTE: Not applicable to Android Smartphones.


How do I set the clock manually?

1. Press the [Settings Switch] button twice to enter time setting mode.

2. The setting parameter will flash.

3. Press and hold the [Settings Switch] button to confirm the setting and enter the next parameter.

4. Press the [Decrease] or [Increase] button to set the required data.

5. The sequence of setting is: Hour -> Minute -> 24Hr/12Hr

6. If there is no action in 3 seconds, the setting will be saved and the setting mode will be exited.


How do I set the alarm time?

1. Press the [Settings Switch] button three times to enter alarm 1 setting mode. The [Alarm 1 icon] will be on. (Press four times to enter alarm 2 setting mode. The [Alarm 2 icon] will be on.)

2. The setting parameter will flash.

3. Press and hold the [Settings Switch] button to confirm the setting and enter to the next parameter.

4. Press the [Decrease] or [Increase] button to set the required data.

5. The settings order is: Hour -> Minute -> Alarm OFF/ON

6. If there is no action in 3 seconds, the setting will be saved and the setting mode will be exited.


How does the alarm operate?

1. At the set time, the alarm signal rings.

2. The alarm lasts for 1 minute.

3. To stop the alarm, press the [Mode] button.

4. During the alarm, press any other button to delay the alarm by 5 minutes (snooze).

5. The alarm will start again at the next alarm time, unless you switch off the alarm function.

NOTE:

a. The alarm will automatically turn off after 4 instances of snooze.

b. The screen will be turned on when the alarm rings during Power OFF.

How should I clean the device?

Disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning.

Only use a dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. To avoid damaging the electronics, do not use any cleaning fluid.

Protect the device from dust and moisture.


How should I dispose of the device and its batteries?

Dispose of the packaging materials properly, according to their type, such as paper or cardboard. Contact your local waste-disposal service or environmental authority for information on the proper disposal.

Do not dispose of electronic devices in the household garbage!

As per the Directive 2002/96/EC of the European Parliament on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its adaptation into German law, used electronic devices must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.

In accordance with the regulations concerning batteries and rechargeable batteries, disposing of them in the normal household waste is explicitly forbidden. Please make sure to dispose of your used batteries as required by law at a local collection point or in the retail market. Disposal in domestic waste violates the Battery Directive. Batteries that contain toxins are marked with a sign and a chemical symbol.

The integrated battery may only be removed for disposal! Opening the housing can destroy the device. Discharge the battery completely before disposal. Remove all screws on the housing and open the housing shell. Disconnect the connections from the battery.
